Fabulous from start to finish! Welcome drink on arrival, early access to our room which was in the cottage, we ate in the restaurant, the food was very good, staff very attentive and lovely wines. Swimming pool was great and the sauna. Great location and will definitely stay again.

Loved the place but the room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor and not only was there no elevator but the stair case was very narrow and difficult to bring the luggage up. We still loved it and understand the way it is looks better so it’s not a con, just think it’s good to know, specially for people traveling with small children like we did.

beautiful castle in most of its original condition. Very special hotel experience. Wonderfully kept up. Large very comfortable rooms. However, we ate in their very expensive restaurant and they seemed to get all of our orders wrong. Everything came out not as we ordered. Unfortunately I suffer with very bad food allergies and even though I went over everything with the waitress she still got it all wrong. I didn't know until I had a very bad reaction. For the caliber of hotel and the prices in that reataurant nothing should have been wrong. There was only 2 other tables dining at the time. The hotel is worth it but I wouldn't eat there again

I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. They recommended great options for outings and helped me with shipping a parcel back to the US. The breakfast was really good (one of the best during my two weeks in Germany.) Beautiful property and the room was clean and well maintained. Would recommend and return.

front desk and 4th floor rooms issues

Upon check-in, we were provided with Room 400, which was of extremely poor quality. Despite our concerns and feedback to front desks and Hotel.com, the hotel refused to change our room, citing overbooking as the reason( which we found out from hotels.com when they spoke to front desk. There were rooms available on the Marriott site so we know this was not true.)

The room’s window is very small and offers a view only if you stand directly in front of it, which is hardly what one would consider a \"Mosel view.\" When we requested a room change, we were only offered a lower category room, as the hotel claimed to be overbooked in the category we had booked.

This room is supposed to be the third category above a room with no view, following the vineyard view, and then the Mosel view. However, the description of this room as having a Mosel view is misleading. Based on the photos, it should be classified as a side-view room at best. The most disappointing aspect was how poorly the front desk handled the situation. Their nonchalant approach to problem-solving does not reflect well on their hospitality standards.

Further to this, Their aircon was not functioning well with winter duvets and therefore was a very uncomfortable night, followed by the noise of the air con! The water
Pressure was also poor.

Lovely, picturesque castle that is now a hotel. Wonderful staff. Nice pool and spa area, although one sauna out of service. Few things could use updating and no elevator to the fourth floor, but great views of the vineyards. Close to drive to many nearby wineries. Not much in the city and not many restaurants open in January, but (limited) options at hotel bar and restaurant that are good.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is nice with a decent selection of items in the buffet and made to order. I was disappointed that some services were not available although they were advertised on the welcome screen. Food options are limited after breakfast. Also, the hotel still seems to be dealing with staffing shortages, sometimes the reception desk was not staffed, no help with bags when checking in or out.

Just an incredible experience staying at this \"castle resort\". Every single staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated with the softest bed. We had breakfast and dinner on site which were delightful and satisfying. The spa amenities was a nice cherry on top...gym fully equipped, multiple sauna rooms each with a different temperature, and an infrared room for treatments. We had a good time.

Such a lovely place to stay. My only downside was for a 5* hotel I would have thought there would have been a porter at the entrance to help with the bags.
The other issue was the breakfast wasn’t that good. It took 3 attempts and half hour to make a well done omelette. Not toast or bacon.
The rest was fine

das erste zimmer war eine Dachkammer, am ersten Abend war für die Hausgäste angeblich kein Tisch auf der Terrasse zu Essen frei. Nachdem wir extern essen waren, besuchten wir nochmal die terrasse un des gab noch einige Gäste, die ncit reserviert hatten, die speisen konnten? Auch eine Hinterlegung von Cash am Empfang kenne ich nicht, obwwohl ich zB Stamm gats in Hilton, Innside und Bayerischen Hof bin . Man macht einfach einen Kreditkarten Abzug beim Check in und sie haben genug Sicherheit, auch wenn das Zimmer im vorhinen bezahlt wurde

Ontbijt was niet slecht maar niet 5 ster hotel waardig. Veel stuk in het zwembad en wellness gedeelte.
De eerste kamer 410 had een vreselijk geluid dit is de volgende dag opgelost door ons een andere kamer te geven. Bedden perfect. Badkamer 410 ook niet 5 sterren waardig, badkamer 412 wel.
Geen koelkast op de kamer, wel koffie thee. Fietsen huren is een aanrader

A fantastic stay at the Schloss. It’s majestic, outside and inside. Really friendly and service minded staff. Beautiful room. Good food, and if you are bored you can relax at the Library, have a drink at the bar og bring the drink and play some biljard! Definitely going back!

Don’t miss this gem!

This was the most beautiful place to spend the night in Bernkastel-Kues and the best hotel that we had on our two week journey through Germany and France. The hotel is one of the most unique and beautiful places I’ve ever been. The staff was very nice. We were so sad to only have one night here and dream about coming back for a longer stay. Thank you!

Ótima localização entre Trier e Cochem.

Lugar incrível. Se estiver com um carro, é uma ótima localização para a região do Rio Mosella entre Trier e Cochem. Café da manhã excelente para os padrões europeus, com todo o necessário e mais como sucos, espumante, pães, ovos beneditinos, frutas etc. Oferecem saunas, piscina interna e pequena academia. Quartos muito confortáveis, mas o chuveiro nem tanto. Estacionamento interno da pousada é pago, mas em frente se estaciona em vagas públicas por preços mais acessíveis. As pessoas que trabalham no local são muito educadas e atenciosas. Nossos agradecimentos a todas elas. Existem alguns restaurantes na região e um bom supermercado do outro lado do rio. A hospedagem nesse castelo é uma interessante experiência que vale a pena.

Schönes Ambiente mit schlechter Küche

Das Hotel ist fantastisch, das Gebäude einfach überwältigend schön.
Dagegen das Wasser im Pool war sehr schmutzig!
Des Weiteren das Essen im Restaurant war sehr schlecht, man erwartet die Qualität entsprechend dem Level des gesamten Hotels.
Wir haben eine Flasche ( 80 Euro) Rotwein, welche wurde extrem kalt , 10 Grad(!) serviert.
Der Fisch kam nach 5 Minuten und warm nur lauwarm.

Das Frühstück war akzeptabel aber nichts besonderes.

Schloss Lieser er et dejligt hotel med fin morgenmad og beliggenhed. Meget venligt personale og fantastisk terasse til restauranten. Maden var lidt anderledes men smagte fint nok. Der mangler liv i byen omkring hotellet og der er langt at gå til næste by, tag bilen ;-)

Hotel lindo e muito confortável. Apenas precisa receber e atender melhor seus hóspedes. Sua equipe não é compatível com o nível do hotel. Não fazem a mínima força para serem atenciosos e agradáveis. A grande exceção é o funcionário Mano que se desdobra para tentar corrigir as falhas dos seus colegas. Fora isto o hotel é maravilhoso.

Wunderschönes Hotel mit enttäuschendem Management!

Sehr enttäuschend, obwohl wir Deluxe Zimmer gebucht und sogar telefonisch einen Geburtstag in der Familie angekündigt hatten.
Trotz verschiedener Reklamationen (wie zB: unmögliche Nutzung der Sauna am Ankunftstag, wegen technischen Defekt oder fehlendem Sommerbettzeug etc.), wurde dies bei der Abreise in der Abrechnung nicht berücksichtigt.
Das Schloss-Hotel selbst ist aufwendig und wunderschön restauriert. Dies zieht viele Touristen und Durchlaufverkehr an, die dort neben der Terrasse dann auch noch gerne eine Hotelbesichtigung verbinden. Oder einfach ohne Verzehr oder Anmeldung im ganzen Hotel umherlaufen.
Im Aufzug gibt es keine Sicherheitsschaltung per Zimmerkarte. Jeder Außenstehende mag die Aufzüge zu allen Zimmern nutzen. Von daher, eher unzumutbar für Menschen, die solch ein Hotel aufsuchen, um ihre Privatsphäre zu genießen. Wir trafen selbst im 4. Stock, den wir bewohnten zweimal fremde Leute an, die sich die Bilder oder was auch sonst noch im Flur anschauten. Auf meine Frage, ob sie dort wohnen, sagte man uns, dass man sich nur mal umschauen wolle. An der Rezeption nur Achselzucken und der Verweis, dass man darauf achten wolle…Da es im obersten Stockwerk mit der dicken Winterdecke sehr heiss war, fragten wir 3 mal nach einer dünneren Sommerdecke. Diese wurde dann nach dem dritten Fragen gebracht- war aber eine Decke für 2 Personen.-
Wir hatten explizit um zwei Einzeldecken gebeten.
Am 3. Tage immer noch keine zweite Decke und auch bis Abreise nicht.

Mir hat das ganze Schlossfeeling super gefallen. Die Auswahl an Kosmetikbehandlungen und Massagen war gut. Das Personal war auch überwiegend freundlich.
Was mir gar nicht gut gefallen hat, ist, dass ich in einem Zimmer war, von dem aus man ungefähr alles von den Fluren mitbekommen hat und von draußen auch.
Im Winter gibt es natürlich wenige bis gar keine Angebote, die man im Sommer auch nutzen könnte, wie z.B. Weinproben, Wandern etc.
