A gem in western Spain
A small town patrimony that is worthy of a few days. Comfortable suites in the old palacia, and terrific antique sites of architectural significance within 1/2 mile walk. We arrived for the local artisanal ceramics market....and bought well. Local Spanish blade dealer sol me a killer chef's chopping knife at 1/4 what I'd have paid in the States.

The Paradores in Spain are the best hotel option, however expensive, this parador was actually very affordable of course Zamora is a small not excessively visited by tourists.

The ambience and atmosphere of this Parador is outstanding. Everything from the decor to the amenities outside, is extremely well done and in keeping with this former Palace. The room was comfortable, the spacious bathroom amazing, very clean and quiet and the view spectacular especially being able to watch the Storks on their nests or flying in the sky from our hotel windows was a sight to behold. The breakfast was very good and all the staff very helpful and very professional. Would definitely recommend.

This is absolutely a beautiful property, no question. Unique property with good restaurant amenities and it was extremely clean. The front desk wasn't super friendly at check-in, but took care of us throughout our stay. One downside was the bar was closed during dinner, which meant when you came back from dinner and wanted to have a late drink, the only option was room service. We were there on a Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning to find an antique market outside. Great surprise!

Just a little let down
Slightly disappointed. It's an old Palace, but the room was just plain and sparce. Ground floor, with window right onto the square, not even a kettle in the room. Everything was alright, but could have been so much better. Restaurant was not cheap and the food was just plain. Lamb, and potatoes, side salad, £28. No seasoning, no herbs, no vegetables. No atmosphere, no buzz. Nothing wrong, just a tad disappointing. Free parking on the square next door, and plenty of life 10m away in bars.

This is a very unique hotel, in a wonderful location. Zamora was much more than we expected, and staying in this 'castle' was super fun. The only reason I do not give it the highest marks is that it truly needs to be better appointed to make that 5-star rating. The room decor is drab, and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. I only had 2 hours of sleep due to the rock hard bed. However we only stayed one night, and the ambiance of the location and overall hotel was super charming. I would not stay here again unless the beds were much better though. In the middle of the night I seriously considered sleeping in the car as it would have been more comfortable. The hotel has a great deal of potential, I hope it is improved, it could be truly wonderful.

We stayed 2 nights at Paradores in Zamora. The hotel is a traditional Paradores, with spacious and well appointed rooms. The facilities and service are all very good. Undercover parking is available as is a swimming pool. I would recommend staying at the Paradores. Zamora is also a fantastic city to visit with many interesting historic sites.

We contacted hotel ahead of stay for directions & we also upgraded our booking to a suite. The staff at the hotel were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on the first night and enjoyed the meal particularly the dessert!

It is definitely worthwhile experiencing this historical building as your home for a few days. The rooms in both buildings (the old and the new) are very comfortable and reflect the medieval/early renaissance flair of the site. The rooms in the old historical main building are especially beautiful with gorgeous wooden floors, ceiling beams and blinds. The staff is very helpful and warm.

Not my favorite Paradore
This Paradore was nice, as well, it should be. The room was elegant with a very beautiful bathroom. The pool was nothing special but a nice break with a good swim. I should think the lawn and some garden maintenance would help. It was a good walk to interesting sights with the Paradore well situated for everything being a ten minute walk.

El parador es bonito pero viejo y no me gustó que cobraban 20€ por noche de garaje y no había plazas y tuve que buscar uno publico que me costó 10€. Además había feria y no se podía aparcar ni en zona azul.

El desayuno muy escaso, (poca variedad de pan en las tostadas solo tres tipos de frutas y no tenían leche de avena) mesas demasiado bajas por lo tanto incomodas para mi. Poco dinamismo en el personal de recepción y solo una persona atendiendo.

Fue el único Parador cuyo desayuno estuvo limitado a horarios fijos debiendo atender de golpe a todos los clientes al ingreso con un menú limitado y echarlos antes de comenzar el próximo horario. Muy estresante para el personal y desagradable para el cliente.

El protocolo Covid es perfecto. Una limpieza absoluta y continua. La habitación es muy amplia y muy cómoda. En general todo muy bien. Lo único que falla en los Paradores en general es la comida.

Zamora es una ciudad que merece ser visitada. El hotel se encuentra en la parte vieja de la ciudad en un lugar privilegiado. Al alojarse en el hotel se puede estacionar muy cerca en un lugar al aire libre pero vigilado.

Magnífica y cómoda elección para visitar Zamora
Es un edificio magnífico. Ya tiene sus años como hotel pero está muy bien cuidado. Habitación enorme, muy cómoda y bien equipada, por ejemplo el baño . Desayuno magnífico. Servicio muy atento y servicial.
