Bed was ok and the room was large. The chairs were comfortable. There was no facility to have tea and coffee in the room and we were asked to pay for coffee to get it from the machine in restaurant. The breakfast had no hot food options for vegetarians. There was not even a normal tea bag for tea drinkers, only fusion tea leaves. Very disappointing hotel, our worst experience in Norway

Almost great. Comfortable and quiet

Hotel is in very quiet and calm location. The room was comfortable and spacious with good facilities.
Sound proofing was quite poor and bed although reasonably comfortable was very soft.
Nice to have a balcony overlooking the fjord.
Rest of hotel pleasant but looking a bit tired in places.

A very beautiful setting, one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. The park across the fjord is full of interesting Norwegian families, lots of children.

Nestled in one of Norway's many fjords, the location of this property it top notch. It's a small community, so it is very quiet, so you are able to relax and enjoy the natural beauty all around you. Balcony overlooking the fjord was a nice touch.

Spacious a d clean twin room. Good location with great lawn area seating on the side of a calm fjord bay, with dramatic mountains on both sides. Nearby town has lovely old buildings and nice cafe at the arts centre. Dinner buffet was expensive but very well stocked with various foods, and breakfast also plentiful

Booked and prepaid on Expedia, but on arrival they did not have any room available. They admitted it was their mistake, not Expedia's, and arranged a room at another hotel.. This other hotel was an hour journey away, and required a ferry ride, late in the evening when we were already quite exhausted.

We stayed here for three days on our latest trip to Norway and it was lovely. We chose a room with a view of the fjord and it delivered. We chose to have dinner here our first evening and the restaurant was fine, so was breakfast - both done as a buffet. There was plenty of parking, and even EV charging for a flat overnight fee. You can tell the property has been recently renovated. The only issue we had (not the hotels fault) was some very obnoxiously loud music from the nearby campground but it stopped by 22:00 each night. It was a good value and if traveling by car, I’d stay here again.

We booked same day. It was a good value and included breakfast. Dining area was very nice. Room was basic but had what we needed. Only complaint was that we had single beds and I’m not used to that-felt like I might roll off. Great view of the fjord.

This place is amazing. We drove from Oslo to Bergen and we stayed at this place over a night. It was amazing experience to live right across the fjord with great views. The staff were quite friendly. We had buffet for the dinner (around 35 USD per person) at their restaurant which was great with lot of options. The breakfast buffet (included in the booking) the next morning is great too. Highly recommended for any one driving by or want to spend the time in Laerdal.

An wonderful hotel in an excellent location. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style and served in an airy room with a view over the fjord. Other reviewers had made mention of the tour coaches - that almost put us off, but don’t let it! The coaches allow the hotel to offer the level of service that it does - take advantage of it!

Main hotel a little tired, but breakfast good & buffet dinner ok, if a little pricy (nowhere else to go). Perfect stay, unless you happen to clash with coach loads of Koreans!

Beautiful scenery, wonderful breakfast

Quiet hotel located where the river meets the fjord, and our room with a view of the fjord was magnificent. Lovely breakfast food options were better than at most hotels in all of Scandinavia. Location is close to all of the attractions in the Lärdal area, including the scenic route over Aurlandsfjellet and the Lärdal tunnel.

The hotel overall is okay. It has all the basics, and if you need something more, you pay extra (e.g., car charging). The best thing about this hotel is its breakfast dining area, which is by the fjord - very nice view - definitely a highlight of staying at this hotel.

Needs a little work, but probably the best in town

Room was clean and decent size. TV needs updating. Elevator did not work well. View out over the water was nice.
Worst part was the drains... sewer gas smell throughout the hotel, elevated shower stall simply drained onto floor and then went down floor drain. At breakfast waiter told us to wait until tour bus left, when they would bring out the \"good stuff\".

Still, there is not much else to choose from in this town.

God mat. Frokostbuffe med det meste.
Rent og pent på rommene. Gode senger. Hyggelig og serviceinnstilt betjening. Hotellet ligger ut mot en liten fjordarm av Sognefjorden. Lærdal er vakkert og bør sees. Like greit å bo her om du skal gå Kongevegen eller skal videre inn til Aurland, Flåm, Sogndal mm.

Fint hotel i stille omgivelser. Al la carte menyen var fin og deres portioner er til den rigelige side. Morgenmaden var også fin og i rigelig mængder. Høflig betjening og meget serviceminded. Vi var heldige at få et værelse på 4 sal så vi kunne have altandøren åben hele natten da der var 21 grader ude da vi gik i seng.

Et gammelt og slitt hotell, som minner om en levninger fra 70-tallet. Resepsjonisten snakket ikke norsk og var heller ikke super på vennlig kundeservice. Frokosten var kjedelig og mye støy fra amerikansk bussgruppe. Nydelig natur løfter selvsagt oppholdet, men tar nok ikke inn her en annen gang.

Fint hotel med god beliggenhet nede ved sjøen. Fine rom, og jeg var heldig å fikk rom med sjøutsikt. Jeg hadde en overnatting og fikk tid til å se litt av Lærdal, fin plass kommer gjerne tilbake. Frokosten var god. Godt utvalg av mat og drikke. Det var god plass sjøl om om det var mange gjester til frokost. Takk for oppholdet.

Ett trevligt hotell. i bra miljö. 500 meter till staden, och få sittmöjligheter för trötta pensionärsben. Vi hade balkong på vårt rum, och det var trevligt att sitta och ta en drink på. Ett minus var att de hade kvicksilver lampor i belysningen på rummen.

Kunne enkelt blitt gjort bedre.

Savnet mulighet for å lage kaffe eller te på rommet. I dusjen var det kun en dispenser med håndsåpe, jeg ønsker dusjsåpe og sjampo. Savnet også fothanduk for å legge på gulvet utenfor dusjen. Hyggelig personale både ved innsjekking og frokost.
