We just returned from a weeklong trip to Xcaret Arte. What a beautiful resort! We had the basic Garden Suite and the room was gorgeous! The food was the best we have ever had at an all-inclusive resort. The staff at the resort is very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay special. The free transportation and entrance to the various Xcaret parks was the cherry on top. We highly recommend this resort. I can’t wait to return!

It was nice we purchase river view didn’t get the room . Our internet was down so our phones tv wasn’t working which means we couldn’t order room service . The other thing also when we arrive they start pushing you for promotions when you just want to relax. Other than that it was a good stay

I enjoyed the swim out room, the food was excellent and the pools. I did not enjoy that you can't order food at the poolside, just drinks. I also didn't enjoy the check in/check out process. There wasn't a clear desk to go to. We had someone walk us a very long way to our room and he did not use that time to explain the restaurant locations or activities at the hotel which would have been a great time. We stayed in our small area of the resort because we felt confused. When it was time to check out, we had no idea where to go and were told 3 different places. That should be very clear and easy process, especially when your car is waiting for you to go to the airport.

We had an amazing time. Everything was above expectations. The transportation system was amazing along with the people who drove the buses. Our room clean beds were so comfortable I wanted to take them home. I wish we stayed two more days to enjoy and explore the hotel activities, they looked amazing. The only thing I was disappointed with was restaurant reservations, I was told we could make them when we arrived, it later found out I should had made them prior, the nice restaurants were booked. It the restaurants we did go to were great.

We were so excited about trying out this property because we heard so many fun reviews about it. We stayed at the Arte adult only hotel. I stayed with my family including two sons ages 21 and 25. We were all pretty disappointed about the overall stay and were all pretty surprised about the hype. The rooms were nice and when we could get into a restaurant the food was pretty good. The buffet served the same thing every single day and night. The alcohol and service was good. They need ore guidance on how to set up the parks and restaurants. We were told we could not go to several of the parks because it was full ? Why did we pay to stay here if that was the case? We were not able to get into all the restaurants and it was NOT because it was too busy. There was 0 night time shows or entertainment so that made for a pretty boring evening...every night. We were there over New Years Eve and were told there was no special show or dinner unless you wanted to pay an EXTRA $250 PER PERSON. This seemed pretty ridiculous. The parks we were able to go to had some fun things. The water slide and the zip lining was fun. The other things to do at the parks just seemed like a local theme park for young kids. I would not go back to this resort. We were all very disappointed.

It was our first time staying at this resort. Which was our second option by the way. We usually stay at the Secrets Moxché in playa del Carmen.
From the time we got to the resort it was a long check in process and felt very unorganized. We left our bags for a few hours since our room was not ready. We tried calling the resort a couple of times while we were out exploring to check in on our room & make a dinner reservation (which was recommended by staff) at one of their reservation only restaurants. And both times the staff said they could not find our reservation, which was already paid for and check in for was filled out btw. Once we got to our room , there was a dead cockroach on our floor entering the room and bottle caps left around the tub ( we hadn’t even opened anything). We left the cockroach there as everyday they do housekeeping , just to check if they would catch it the second time. Once we came back on day two of our stay the cockroach was still there and so were the bottle caps. One can only wonder as to how well they actually clean the rooms. The breakfast buffet was beautiful with the aesthetic, but the food was mediocre. Not so authentic as one would think, especially being in a more rustic resort. When we checked out of the room we let the person at the front desk know about the cockroach and even showed pictures of it untouched and all he said was “I’m sorry”. That’s it ?!? We paid over $1,100 USD a night and that all we got. Needless to say wont be back

Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Amenities were overwhelming. Really be sure of what room you want before you book. We stayed at “Las Artistas” which I guess is a upgrade. I initially booked a SPA Garden Suite Adult, but everyone in our group booked Las Artistas. So we upgraded? Not really sure how it was an upgraded but we did it. The initial room in SPA Garden Suite, in my opinion was better than the River Suite “Las Artistas”.
Upgrading our room allowed us in at the roof top pool, and eat a a couple speciality restaurants. The Artistas roof top pool is pretty cool but you have to be there as soon as it opens or before day light, because there is only about 10-12 spots. Upgrade Dining: To be honest it was kind of a let down for a signature/speciality restaurant like Kibi to be just “OK/average” nothing I ate made me say; “Man, I’m so glad we got the upgrade so we could eat here.” My wife and I did eat at Encanta the first night we were there. We didn’t have reservations, the “Butler” is the best perk of the upgrade. He took care of getting us in. “Yes” Encanta’s in my opinion was by-far the best meal during the stay “above average”. The rest of the group (6) never got in to eat there. If they had split up the group, my guess is they would have gotten a reservation. I’m not mad about having to upgrade our room and definitely not a “food snob”or “World Traveler” but in my opinion upgrading to “Artitas” wasn’t worth it.

Xcaret itself is beautiful and I plan to in the way future to return. The hotel offers so much to its clients it’s incredible. It’s huge there was lots of activities to do. The views were amazing. Everything about the hotel is great. I was just in awe. The only downfall was the staff. They were kind of snotty. I would try to ask questions and they answered respectfully but the way they looked said otherwise. When I would go somewhere and ask for a coffee or something they looked as if it was such an inconvenience. The whole time there was no one who was inviting and it just made my stay uncomfortable. Worst part was that it wasn’t just the staff at the hotel it was the theme parks too. It was weird it’s like they didn’t want people to be there. But other than the staff it was such a great stay. If you just ignore the staff and try to figure things out yourself it’s good enough.

The food, facilities, and service was great.
The all-fun inclusive is great if you want to visit the parks. We were lucky to eat at Encanta and it was absolutely delicious.

The whole experience was remarkable! We chose this hotel for our honeymoon & we couldn't have been more satisfied. So much to do. So much to eat. So much to see. The staff was great. Highly recommend! We cant wait to go back.

I am writing to share our disappointment with the departure and transportation process during our most recent stay on 9/30/25. Our transportation was confirmed for 2:15 PM, with luggage collection at 12:15 PM. Despite following the instructions we received, our luggage was misplaced, we were directed to the wrong side of the property, and the bus departed without us. We only found one of our bags thanks to an AirTag we had otherwise it would have been completely lost and cause further delays.
This experience caused a great deal of stress and nearly made us miss our flight. What makes it worse is that our family are frequent guests of Xcaret Arte, this was our fifth stay and instead of service improving with time, the communication and attentiveness we receive has been declining.
We don’t base our feedback on what happens to other guests; we are sharing this because of our experience as a loyal family who has trusted and recommended your resort many times before. It is discouraging to see the level of care and clarity diminish visit after visit.
We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the communication gaps and organization issues that led to this problem. Our family wants to continue choosing Xcaret Arte, but we need to feel confident that the service reflects the loyalty we’ve shown. We have screenshots of the poor communication in management needs it.

This was our second stay at Hotel Xcaret Arte. Our first visit was exceptional, our butlers were attentive and proactive. We were genuinely impressed, tipped generously and left with wonderful memories.
Unfortunately, this visit was a different experience. While we appreciated the small “Happy Honeymoon” and chocolate heart, the overall service felt diminished. We often had to make several requests, and it seemed that extra prompting was needed to receive the same attention as before. Even at checkout, we were told to locate a bellboy on our own, which was disappointing given the resort’s usual standards.
Our room was cleaned daily, but overall hospitality and attention to detail fell short. We were only acknowledged for our honeymoon with a dessert at Tah-Xido and Xaak, although other staff asked about our celebration, no gestures followed.
Dining was also inconsistent. Arenal, Sunday Brunch at Las Cuevas, and San Juan Mercado lacked freshness and flavor. While staying in the Artistas building gave us access to more options, dishes at Mexico 1 & 2 were not freshly prepared. The tacos near the club were the only highlight outside of Kibi Kibi, where we ate daily for the remainder of our stay due to the good food and service.
Multiple calls from the timeshare team throughout the morning. While the property remains beautiful, the service and food quality no longer reflect the exceptional standards that once made this resort so special. Regrettably, we will not be returning.

The room was large and pool off the patio was not so good (cold water not heated and they drained it every day when we were there before we woke up and it took them half the day to refill it, so ideal) cool to look at best! Spa was amazing! Staff were fantastic! Do not take the shuttle from airport to the hotel upon arrival between getting your luggage and getting to the hotel it took several hours, I suggest getting the hotel to book you a private cab which is what we did to back to the airport! The food at hotel was grea although make sure you book dinner reservations for the entire stay in advance because you can not simply walk and get a table they make wait for hours if you do that! We found the best kept secret was the rooftop pool great service good views lots drinks and fast service plus it’s the only place at the resort where you can order food poolside. Avoid the shuttles to and from all parks if possible long waits and frankly the cabs from the hotel are inexpensive, clean, friendly, and fast! Make sure that you bring a good pair of sneakers because you be doing a ton of walking while at the resort! The beach area was a big disappointment because there wasn’t one! All the pools were cool so if you are looking for warm water and beach not the place to go. The adventure park Zipline was incredible but tons overheated walking and climbing up lots of stairs, ladders, and steep inclines so avoid that place on a hot day! The animal park not worth it! 6 out of 10 overall!

The resort and staff were great. The hotel has more of a spa vibe vs the party vibe we were used to. Not too many activities on site during the day, but the parks that were included were alot of fun.
