Really enjoyed our stay here travelling back from Norway. We are a family of 4. Lovely to see a bit of rural Germany. Dinner, breakfast and customer service all very good. Dinner service ends at 8.30 (which was no problem for us at all), but worth being aware of if you are wanting food (which I would definitely recommend).

Great stay

Very good hotel with helpful staff, nice quiet surroundings for a run or bike ride. Family room with separate bedroom was a plus! Small but functional gym.
Possible to charge the car another plus.
Great restaurant with fresh food and that extra touch, even had wild boar.
Everything felt like a higher standard than we payed for 😄

The hotel was in a lovely village and was very quiet. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. The staff were pleasant and very helpful.
The restaurant was extremely good with a varied menu and a good wine list. breakfast was excellent and extremely varied.
If you are in the area this is a good place to stay.

Extremely kind and cheery staff at this lovey hotel. The only problem was that there must have beets dog recently in the room we used which triggered my friend’s asthma. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh. The stay was wonderful in every other respect. Good breakfast. Easy part. Quiet and peaceful setting ..

Not worth to be graded as 4-star

The hotel is situated in a small community Stemmen almost in the middle between Hamburg and Bremen. It is quite small surrounded by large areas of farms. Although it is graded as a 4-star hotel with spa, fitness and meeting facilities, it would be more appropriate to rank it as a 3-star because all these facilities are just limited and kept inside small rooms only. It would be a better health exercise if you go out for hiking or cycling in the beautiful countryside surrounding the hotel. It is still a good hotel with nice reception service and fitted with elevator even though there is only two floors. The bedrooms and washrooms are good enough for a comfortable stay. There is only one restaurant inside the hotel. So we have our dinner and buffet breakfast in the same place. But the biggest nuisance to us was large swarms of flies inside the restaurant and around the hotel. This must have caused a great hygienic problem for hotel guests as all the windows inside out room are fitted with wire nets. Free parking spaces are available near the front entrance.

We have stayed here many times and always found it wonderful. However, this was the first time we stayed in the middle of summer and found it less than ideal. There were no block-out curtains in the rooms so we were woken at 4am each day. The room also got very hot and there is no cooling. Sleep, for which we actually stay in a hotel, was hard to come by. We improved the situation by buying a roll of alfoil and covering the windows with it.
We also asked for firmer pillows, since the soft feather pillows that the Germans have used for decades are not what we are used to. The option of firmer pillows would be great.

The room was clean and comfortable, but we had hot weather and no air conditioning. Opening the windows was not an option because of all the lighting in the yard, and because of the party across the road.
The curtains have no block out and the sun woke us each morning at 4am. A bit too early for our liking.
The breakfast was as good as ever, and we enjoyed the restaurant meals, though we had quite a wait for our food because the staff also had to service a big event in the reception rooms.

Lovely, old school German, quality hotel

Hotel is located in a very quiet town but made for a great spot for my family and I to rest and rejuvenate. The only downside would have been that their restaurant wasn't open on Sunday, however the lovely receptionist directed us to a nearby pizza place. The buffet breakfast in the morning was amazing, even included a waffle maker and fresh batter to cook. Our room was very big and spacious. It was also very comfortable. Thank you for providing us with a great spot to rest for the evening.

Good place for overnight stay

Used for overnight stay en-route from Denmark to France as not far from A1 between Bremen and Hamburg. Semi-rural location, and quiet even though the hotel was hosting a wedding reception the night we stayed there. Staff were friendly and helpful (and some speak reasonable english). One downside was the rather limited vegetarian selection in the hotel restaurant - but that's common to a lot of places in Germany.

Nice hotel.Good quiet location.lovely grounds.
Missed the little extra you would expect with this 'class' hotel,eg coffee,tea availability.nothing available in the room and otherwise not open to buy until 5.30pm.
Advertised on hotels.com ...'spa access' .The 'spa' was simply a sauna and you had to ask if you planned to use it, so as they could switch it on😉

Charming stopover

Lovely stopover on the way home. Charming hotel with great service. We arrived late but were very well received. Clean and fresh rooms. A bit warm in the summer. An electric fan would have been nice. The village is truly charming and made for a quiet and relaxing visit.

Detta är en riktig pärla en kort resa från Autobahn!
Här har vi bott innan och kommer gärna tillbaka.
Landgut Stemmen ligger i en lugn liten by.
Hotellet har vänlig och serviceminded personal.
Rummen är fräscha med sköna sängar.
Kvällsmaten fantastiskt god och frukosten likaså.

Schön ländlich und gemütliches Hotel.
Das Bad hätte in meinem Fall etwas größer sein können, so wie auf den Bildern hier. Ansonsten nur der Hinweis, dass in vielen Hotels in den Zimmern eine Flasche Wasser Kaffee Tee mit Wasserkocher for free aufzufinden ist.

Godt og ærgerligt

Hotel, værelser og morgenmad var yderst tilfredsstillende. Dejligt værelse, god morgenmad, den ene morgen var brødet dog noget tørt.
Nå men meget ros den vej, men restauranten der er i tilknytning til hotellet har vi været ikke været så heldige med. Vi har som gæster ikke følt os rigtig velkomne og da vi spiste der sidst havde de travlt med at få os væk hvilket ikke galt for flere af stamgæsterne. Så vi følte os ikke rigtig velkomne, desværre

Lantligt hotell som ligger i en by bestående av gårdar med kor och höns. Bra badrum och belväm säng och bra frukost. Varmt på rummet men öppnar man fönstret luktar det kobajs och tuppen börjar gala kl. 05. Ok för övernattning på genomresa.

Beskrivelsen på appen sagde luksushotel med spa. Det er lidt af en overdrivelse. Spaen var således en sauna, der kun blev tændt på anmodning, et meget slidt træningsrum og en “spa” som var et karbad til en person med 5 liggestole rundt om. Herudover var komforten i sengene ringe. Ordene luksus og spa burde ikke fremgå i teksten omkring dette hotel.
Venligt personale og fin morgenmad.

Covered in mosquito bites

The window had no mosquito net, but the room was incredibly warm…we were covered in mosquito bites in the morning. No A/C obviously.

We had a dog friendly room as traveling with dogs. Room in the middle of the hallway, so lots of noise from passerbys. A dog friendly room should be at the end of the hallways. Breakfast was ok.

Een nostalgisch, luxe en vriendelijk verblijf.

Het was net iets verder van de snelweg maar eenmaal binnen bleek het echt de moeite waard.
Het is iets gedateerd maar dat past bij dit hotel precies goed.
De kamers zijn precies goed en de badkamer met heerlijke douche is heel goed.
In het restaurant een fantastische schnitzel gegeten.
Het ontbijt, dat inclusief is, was gewoon goed en het ontbrak aan niets.
Personeel is erg vriendelijke
In en uitchecken ging erg vlot.
Een aanrader dit Landgoed.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und nette Begleitung durch personal während des gesamten Aufenthalts. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück und sehr schmackhaftes Abendangebot der Küche bei freundlichem und höflichem Personal. Guter Ausgangspunkt um die schöne Landschaft und die wirklich tolln Dörfer und Städte mit ihren freundlichen Menschen kennen zu lernen. Eine richtig erholsame Wowe in einem schönen hotel in einem sehr schönen Niedersachsendorf.
