Rooms were nice but staff upon checkin were very weird.
Just before they gave us our room key, the manager randomly said “pay us 85 dollars”, without explanation and even though the room was pre paid. We obviously said no, and then they just said okay and gave us our key - very strange.
They were also very confusing about the 19% VAT tax, trying to quiz us on if we had paid it and if we needed to pay it, even though we are exempt as foreigners that meet the rest of the criteria.

Clean but small

5 stars considering the price. The rooms are tiny, which I'm guessing is the difference between the Budget and regular Ibis. But if you don't mind being somewhat cramped for a night or two, this place is clean and has everything you'd expect from a fine chain hotel.

Needed to overnight before picking up my rental car to head to the Atacama so I was only there for about 9 hours. Breakfast good. In fact, I have stayed in an Ibis before-you know what you get-clean/modern microtel that is hassle free.

My stay at this hotel was a miserable experience. It took close to an hour to be checked in - staff was incompetent with low degree of service. Changed rooms three times dues to broken air conditioners, dirty room, various other issues. The lobby itself had dripping water on its customers. It took hours to get the situation somewhat resolved finally by begging for a manager. Was unwilling to wait the 4 hours for Expedia to assist. You can't put lipstick on a pig to make the pig nicer - that is like this hotel.

It was clean, bright and fresh, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was very good; however, whilst recognising it is a budget hotel the room and particularly the toilet were just too small to be comfortable - a very tight fit!

Great budget hotel in Calama. It’s new and modern, you get a basic breakfast too and all for under $50. It’s located about a 15 minute drive from the airport and within walking distance of the centre of town. Rooms are on the small side but if you are looking for a cheap option to stay for a night you probably won’t find better in Calama.

Perfect spot for a quick stay in Calama

We stayed here overnight to catch a flight in the morning. There are two adjacent hotel, ibis and I is budget where we stayed. It is a very small room with European narrow twin beds and very cramped space. Ok if you are 5’ 6 “ max. Can barely fit in the wash room or bathroom. It is a new clean hotel opposite a JUMBO supermarket. I don’t think we will ever stay in an ibis Budget room, very cramped space.

Nice Hotel and location.
When I arrived the hotel staff asked me to pay taxes, even though the reservation said it was included in price. Surprisingly at the moment of check out, the hotel staff (a different worker) asked me to pay taxes again! She recognized this mistake but did not apologize at all....be careful.
I paid additionally 19% over price offered. I think it must be taken into consideration comparing prices. I also believe this situation MUST be mentioned when doing the reservation through this service.

This hotel is an excellent stop for 1 night only. The hotel is only 2 month old and you could already see that some parts are falling apart. Extremely cheaply priced though. You get what you pay for.

It's a very new hotel. Though room and toilet are a bit small, there was a 3rd bed positioned over the main one and everything worked fine. Rate includes undergroung parking. Location is perfect for a shopping tour in Calama, which was the purpose of our trip (we came from the other side of the Andes Mountain Rage...). 3rd guest was free of charge. Overall, good value for money.

Hotel padrão Ibis. Atendeu a nossa necessidade, já que apenas dormimos antes de ir para San Pedro. Bem localizado, com café da manhã variado. Tinha um pouco de fila para fazer check in e checkout, já tem apenas 1 funcionário para atender. Estacionamento fechado e gratuito ajudou bastante.

Equipe de Recepção muito educada, cama super confortável, café da manhã superior ao padrão Budget, uma delícia! Os únicos problemas, o ralo do chuveiro não dá tem vazão suficiente e a água começa a subir e a água não esquenta o suficiente, fica levemente morna, e estamos em 2 quartos, os problemas não são pontuais de um quarto, nós dois acontece a mesma coisa.

Passamos uma noite no Ibis em Calama para descansarmos e irmos para San Pedro no dia seguinte. O quarto não é ruim, a cama é muito boa e confortável, mas o chuveiro é péssimo, mal saiu água e não esquentava. O café da manhã é bom. Agora, o atendimento é péssimo, estou falando do atendimento da noite, pois chegamos às 22:00 e não tivemos direcionamento nenhum, o atendente estava de óculos de sol e não nos orientava em nada. Nao sabia passar as informações corretas sobre Wi-fi, não nos orientou sobre café da manhã e quando chegamos tinham algumas moças indo embora, pois havia dado algum problema no quarto delas. O quarto é bom para descanso, mas peca muito em qualidade de atendimento.

Lamentablemente en la recepción me estaban cobrando por dos personas, en circunstancias que mi reserva estaba pagada para dos personas, despues de varios minutos aceptaron mi reserva. La calefacción no funcionaba, me facilitaron un calefactor. En la barra se nos quedó una botella pagada y al reclamarla nos dijeron que era responsabilidad nuestra, al momento de decirle que al menos podrian avisar al huesped que algo se le quedó insistieron en que la responsabilidad era nuestra.

Desconformidad pie aseo de ja habitación

Llegamos en la noche ,se demoraron en encontrar la reserva.Luego nos enviaron a una habitación improvisada ,porque el aseo no estaba en forma óptima .Sobre todo el baño ,ducha y ventana .(baño al levantar la tapa con pelo, ducha puerta chorreada, ventana orilla con polvo y vidrio sucio.Como llegamos de noche y cansados no solicitamos cambio porque nos dimos cuenta en la mañana siguiente.
En el segundo día informe y solicité limpieza a la recepcionista y mi cama que estaba en el pasillo, mucama responde que no le correspondía hacer el aseo de esa habitación 206 fecha Viernes 1 de Julio y sábado 2 de Julio. La recepcionista responde que hablaría con la jefa de aseo para enviar una persona a la habitación y solucionar el tema .Espere en la mañana nadie subió ,baje 2 veces y la recepcionista insistía que solucionaría el tema de aseo .Nos fuimos en la mañana y cuando volvimos en la noche a dormir nuestra sorpresa fue mayor porque la habitación estaba en las mismas condiciones,NADIE HABÍA ECHO ASEO.Baje a la recepción indignada preferí ir yo porque mi esposo estaba más indignado que yo .Comunique a la recepcionista y solicité hablar con un algún gerente o encargado del hotel ,esperé largo rato nadie aparecía ,luego llamo y me dijo que la persona estaba en el Totus .Según la orden era cambiarnos de habitación pero en otro piso en el tercer piso,pero preferimos quedarnos donde estábamos porque era muy tarde ,estábamos cansados celebrábamos los 90 años de mi suegra .

Al momento de tomar una ducha se inundó la habitación, comenzó a salir el agua por todos lados a tal punto que se mojó la ropa y maleta fue muy desagradable ya que fue una pérdida de tiempo bajar e ir a reclamar ya que no hay teléfono en la habitación tuvimos que ir a ducharnos a otra habitación pésima estadía no lo recomiendo para nada

Horrible, no había electricidad en los enchufes, el baño tan pequeño que no podías cerrarlo porque chocaba con tus rodillas, abajo nada más que pollo para comer, el desayuno se acabó todo muy temprano y faltan 3 horas para que se acabara el horario dado, las recepcionistas muy antipáticas. No se hospeden en el budget.

1No encontraban la reserva. La recepcionista se percibía sin experiencia y tuvo que llamar a otra persona. 2no respetaron el precio acordado en la confirmación y finalmente me cobraron 156235.
3. Baño poco confortable, era tan estrecho que al sentarte en wc las rodillas chocaban con la puerta. El agua del wc corrió toda la noche, claramente necesita mantención. La ducha impresiona seudo tapada por falta de limpieza del resumidero.
4. No hay control remoto para la tv, aparentemente no tienen para todos. 5 al bajar a la recepción para comprar bebidas y realizando pago en efectivo, no entregan boleta a pesar de que se le solicitó. 6 A pesar del alto valor de la habitación no incluía desayuno y cuando se consultó por esto, llamaron a un hombre joven que se supone era el jefe, quién no tuvo ninguna empatia ni ofreció alternativa de solución. 7no es mi proposito hacer juicio de valor pero impresionan ser un equipo de trabajo sin experiencia, en etapa de aprendizaje, se preguntan unos a otros y finalmente nadie es empatico con el cliente, que viene cansado y en este caso peor aún por trabajo. Finalmente NO recomiendo el IBIS BUDGET, por la relación precio calidad. Pésima calidad a muy alto precio.

C'est très étonnant de ne pas avoir un service de qualité dans un établissement faisant partie d'une chaine international: accueil très moyen avec beaucoup d’attente pour le checkin, difficile de demander un taxi, chambre très exiguë et sous-équipée,douche qui donne directement dans la chambre et qui ne s'écoule pas bien, pas de shampoing, pas de verre à dent, une seule chaise, et tout cela avec un prix dépassant les 100€ la nuit: ce n'est pas digne d'une prestation du groupe Accor. Plus que décevant, honteux.

El Ibis budget es la mejor relacion precio calidad que se puede encontrar en Chile. Por lejos, la hoteleria nacional es muy deficiente, por ello, llegar a este Ibis en Calama es un agrado. La habitacion tiene un tamaño justo, nada de lujos, pero con buena mantención, muebles prácticos, limpio y por sobre todo, buena aislación y camas comodísimas, colchones y ropa de cama de excelente calidad. El unico detalle es que el personal de recepción parwcio tener un mal día, bueno, en realidad tred dias malos seguidos: caras largas, respuestas poco amables, en fin. En suma, un gran hotel y una atencion que debe ser al menos cordial.

Por el precio, impecable. Es un hotel súper barato pero muy bueno si consideras lo que pagaste. Esta muy limpio, el desayuno es súper completo pero hay harta espera por tema covid. Muy amables todos. Ahora, comentar que a pesar de tomar 2 piezas triples, la 3a cama no estaba hecha en ninguna de las 2, y solo había toalla para 1 en cada pieza…
