Beautiful hotel - loved our room and their Skybar was wonderful! Location was great and easy to get to where we needed to go. Staff were very helpful, especially ensuring our laundry was done on time. We will definitely stay here again when in Barcelona!

The property is conveniently located. We didn't need taxi or transportation to see around. Staff are very friendly, and accommodating, they let us check in early with no issues. It would be helpful to have the person at the door to know how to tell directions, and where the attractions are, in simple english. The room doors were kind loud (constantly banging) during early hours, it could be the construction workers or other guests. But it's constant every morning, or during the day while we're in the room.
Our over all stay was great, we are thankful and we will definitely choose this hotel should we ever come back.

It is difficult to see how this hotel qualifies as four stars. The room lacked basic amenities such as a desk, chair, and facial tissues—items expected even in budget lodging. It was small and offered no microwave.
The bathroom design was especially poor, with no privacy door separating it from the bedroom. While acceptable for couples, it is highly inconvenient for others sharing a room. It had three sections—sink, shower, and toilet. The toilet and shower featured semi-transparent glass, and the sink area was completely open. The toilet space was very cramped; sitting down meant bumping knees or head against the door. With no partition, odors spread easily into the bedroom. The balcony allowed ventilation, but one person often had to wait in the lobby while the other used the bathroom.
Working was difficult since no desk or chair was provided, and the door squeaked loudly with every use. Poor soundproofing meant hearing neighbors and street noise until well past 2 a.m., making restful sleep impossible.
On the positive side, breakfast met four-star expectations, and staff were professional and courteous. Even so, the overall experience fell far short of a four-star standard, and I would not stay here again.

What a great gem we found!! A very nice boutique chic hotel. The decor was amazing and fit will with the Spanish history. Definitely not just a static hotel room. Our view from our terrace was amazing. You could open your door and hear the church bells and the bustle of the shops below Very clean and the staff was very attentive. I would 100% recommend

The staff was great and the building is very cool, but the room was not very functional. There was literally no place to put your clothes other than 10 hangers right above the mini fridge. No table, not one drawer anywhere. There was no bathroom door either so we had to listen to one another’s toilet time.
And, we were charged an extra $42 (on top of $50 city tax) that we don’t know what it was for and the hotel has not responded to two emails. The location was great, but there are other choices and unless they refund our $42 we won’t be back.

Above and beyond! The hotel is undergoing renovations but you’d never know. The service is immaculate, there’s no obvious thing missing, everything we could have wanted was there and more. The bartenders were creative, the front desk always helpful and the doorman was there around the clock. We felt so spoiled!

Very lovely and friendly front desk staff! The hotel is right next to the Gran theatre, which was the reason I booked a room there. The room was not in a perfect 4-star hotel condition from my understanding ( I manage a 4-star hotel in Canada); however, the staff there just made my stay so relaxing and enjoyable! Highly recommended and I’ll definitely come back!

Unacceptable and unsettling for a four star hotel: We requested accommodations in advance, but none were available. The AC wasn’t working, and the only room offered wouldn’t be ready until the next day around 1 p.m. On our final day, we also found a cockroach in the room, which was unacceptable. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance did not reflect a four-star standard - and no compensation was granted either.

Room was super hot and uncomfortable.There is major construction going on in hotel which we did not find out about until night before arrival. There was bleach splatter on the walls which looked like they tried to clean up something big, and water damage on the wood casing along the floor. The floor was super creaky like there had been water damage . The breakfast and rooftop were great. Great option to keep your bags secured when we arrived early but couldn’t check in yet. Overall just ok. Overpriced for the room. Breakfast was 25e per person.

Totally gorgeous hotel. So relaxing, the room was spotless and so comfortable. Loved the little wee touches like the slippers, dressing gowns, his and hers sinks. Also the sockets next to your bed. It’s like when it was designed they have thought of everything. Rooftop bar was so chilled and refreshing. So close to Main Street without being too busy. Hotel staff were also amazing explaining everything. We had breakfast too and so glad I did as it was brilliant. Everything you could think of was there and opt for fresh pancakes and maple syrup just gorgeous. My partner went for omelette and that looked delicious too.

Amazing location and beautiful historic building with excellent facilities and staff. The Boqueria market is in the doorstep as is La rambla. The sites are close by so most are walkable. The rooftop bar and pool are an added bonus. Would def stay here again.

Amazing stay. Staff was very attentive from reception to roof top restaurant that breakfast dining room. Breakfast Buffett was top notch with many options including an order menu. Beds were super comfortable. 1/2 of the hotel is under renovation but you would never know it as it’s so well concealed & you could not hear any construction noise. Very centrally located off the main road so noise was not an issue. Rooftop pool is an added bonus for taking a quick dip after a long day of sightseeing

This hotel would get a better rating if it were a 3 star hotel. However, I expected more from a 4 star! It has its pros and cons. The entrance lobby and breakfast area are beautiful, however we were not a fan of the dirty corners in the shower. Area is okay, near many shops and restaurants but we were hyper aware when walking around the smaller streets at night. The staff was great, just wish the hotel was cleaner.

The hotel is a great location and most people would enjoy the stay. We didn’t. We booked months in advance and asked for a room with twin beds. We were given a room next to the building area that was noisy all the time. We found this out when we went to our room. We asked to change but there were no rooms (hmm). We were given a free breakfast but given that we paid such premium rates it was terrible. The hotel staff didn’t seem to care. The final insult we booked a car to the airport and were to 30 euros, at the airport we were charged 50. i stay in hotels around 70 nights a year, all over the world. This was the worst service by a long way. It spoilt what should have been a great trip. But honestly i don’t think the hotel will care. They got there money.

We had to wait over 5 hours in the lobby for our room to be ready. Unfortunately, a knee injury prevented spending time walking. We were ignored. Subsequently, other people were being checked in before us. When we questioned why, they said they paid more for their rooms than we did.

It was a very nice stay. A great location, easy access to all attractions, restaurants, public transit etc.
Hotel was clean, well maintained and friendly. Sound proofing could be improved but can't blame some guests that are not courteous late at night or being loud regadless of the environment.
Due to constriction and road closures, it is bad for traffic but other than that very safe and clean.

Great location! Friendly, knowledgeable staff. It was great experience! I asked for the recommendation for the good seafood restaurant. They sent me to an amazing place. I also had a breakfast in the morning inside the hotel. It was very good too.

It wasn't a good experience. T he room we were given faced out to low income apartment living, there was trash on their walkways, very dirty, a large dog constantly barking. I don't feel the room was worth what they charged for it.I accidentally spilled my drink in the pool area and they never offered to get me another. I stayed in a beautiful flat in Rome, three times the space with an amazing view for one third less than this room.

Room was very small and no view from the window, but that's pretty typical of a city hotel, in my opinion. It was beautifully decorated and breakfast was an absolute pleasure. There is a fantastic-looking posh restaurant if you are around the right end if the week. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located down a side-street off the busiest street in Barcelona! It's a nice location for setting out from, though. We got taxis because one of us had mobility issues and there were plenty of affordable taxis driving past. The hotel isn't absolutely perfect, the rooms are small and the lift a bit slow to respond, but my brother paid more for somewhere close by that wasn't as nice, and at the end of the day we would be happy to come back, so five stars!

Nos gusta el hotel por su ubicación. Es la segunda vez que nos quedamos allí. La última vez fue hace un par de años y ahora se nota que la propiedad necesita un “makeover”, misma que nos dijeron que van a comenzar a hacer este verano. Volveremos cuando terminen de remodelar. Our family of nine stayed here for three nights. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Has two elevators, nice terrace with a pool. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds and clean. Breakfast area is beautiful! Food was delish! Within two minutes walking to Las Ramblas and La Boqueria market is within five minutes. Will definitely stay here again.

Very well kept property however walking down the small alley way at night where the hotel is situated did not appear safe. Also, a $50 charge at checkout was levied against us, something not mentioned when we booked with Expedia.
