Staff were amazing and being able to walk to most of the amenities was great, clean rooms an all throughout the gaming resort. The food was delicious in the restaurants we went to as well! I recommend a stay here if you like horse racing,a little bit of gambling and a nice atmosphere for a weekend!

Our stay was only one night. The check in was simple. Our room was clean, and the king mattress was on the better side, firm, but needs to be replaced soon. No compalints on the room, it just was a bit dated. I would stay there again.

They had a sports bar with a limited menu, but the food was excellent. We did not try the restaurant on site, but we saw that it was clean. On Monday check out, the restaurant was closed. The small cafe next to it was good enough for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Both were excellent. The casino area was excellent: clean, well lit, and the staff was great. There were ample betting machines available, and they were not crowded together.

We went for the horse racing, and the facility was a very short drive to the track entrance. Again, it was dated, but well maintained.

The overall is you would enjoy your stay there.

Arrived early at 2:00 pm due to an attempt to avoid a terrible rain storm. Our room was ready, however we were asked to pay a $20 early arrival charge. We did not and waited until 3:00 pm to enter are room without any extra fees. This is a rediculous policy!

Loved this casino/resort and will be back. They only provide 2 towels which kind of sucked for us as it was my 3 boys and me but otherwise the only other noticeable thing was the broken down elevator all weekend closest to the pool and our room.

I enjoy the amenities and will come back again. Hopefully next time they’ll replace the maraschino cherries with a good dark cherries that you use in an old-fashioned. I had dinner at the fine dining restaurant L VK. It was hard to get a reservation yet. No one was really there when I arrived it was puzzling that the host has tried to see me beside the door when there were so many other tables available I requested away from the door and was moved My waiter was charming. He took time to understand my questions and I appreciated his help. The casino was very clean. I just wish there was more waitresses coming around offering drink drinks.

The only downside was that they did not have the restaurants open, one did.not open until noon and the one that was open had 2 people working for.breakfast sandwiches. it took over 10 minutes in line to get my order.

I booked thru expedia and was put in the lodge. I thought no big deal at first. The lady at the desk told me to \"go up the ramp, make a left and it down that hall.\" She failed to tell me all the way down the hall, through another door and down the steps. So after I made this long trip down and back, I asked if I can park my car back there. She also told me I could bring my car around to the door but failed to tell me the keys don't work on those doors. So, I drove back around to the front and was told \"sorry, you;ll have to park near the front door of the lodge and walk all the way down the hall through the other door and down the steps with my luggage. Let me add, I am handicap! I asked to get a different room in the resort and she said \"it will cost you double.\" I am very displeased with the way I was treated by Mountaineer employees. I try not to make my disability and issue, but when I asked for some help with the situation not one employee had any respect for my issue.

The hotel and casino were wonderful. The staff was so kind and helpful. The food was okay. We wish they had a proper breakfast available not just two egg sandwiches. //we had to go elsewhere to get breakfast which was a pain.
We would definitely go back but hope they do something about the food issues.

We love visiting Mountaineer - This is our third time. We love the food at Mahogany but were disappointed in the plastic silverware. We tried to eat at the Steakhouse and they were out of everything we attempted to order. It does appear that it has went downhill since our last visit. However, the front desk was amazing. The spa was great! The beds are super comfy! Overall it was a great trip.

I like the room it self, but in the morning the traffic was, so high I could hear every conversation as they walked past. On my next visit. I will seek a room above the ground level. When you can hear the wheels from suitcases passing by inside , and out. It just disturbed our peace.

Loved my visit of 2 nights. The slots were paying., the rooms were great, staff very helpful, music in casino was awesome. Wish Labonne vi was open. Only big Al's was open at 8:30 pm when we wanted to eat. It was good but would have liked to try something new . Can't wait to go back.

I really liked the thought of being in the same property as the casino for my one night birthday trip. I did get one room for five people so I thought there would be accommodations for five people.they where going to give only two keys then I got to the room only two washcloths and two towels and we had to call down for a blanket.

Room was good and staff was courteous. The only reason why I rated good instead of excellent is because the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke when you first walk-in the hotel. I've stayed there before and it was never this bad! My husband, on the other hand would rate is less desirable for the same reason and may impact our decision of staying there again.

The building is a little aged, but maintained. It's direct access to the casino. Food is done at 3pm, and door dash isn't consistent here. It was very empty when I was there. Very unlike other large casinos. Small table play, and surprisingly well kept up.

Glaring lights outside made a sound sleep difficult.
Room faced the highway and at 1:00 AM a line of trucks (semi-trailer transport type) lasting about 40 minutes went by making a lot of noise.
So, okay not great.

Everything you need for a nice getaway

It was a nice get away for the evening we checked in and from that point my girlfriend got a full body massage we had dinner we played slots. After that we had a comfortable bed right down the hallway perfect example of a all in one place to stay. Cant wait to do it again
