Big and clean room! Microwave, refrigerator but I don’t remember seeing a coffee maker in the room. I know there’s free coffee and tea in the office and that’s where we got coffee when we checked in and they had sack breakfast and coffee when we checked out. Staff were very nice and friendly. For the amount that we paid for one night, it’s like hitting the jackpot on this hotel.

I searched the web for an inexpensive room in the Homestead area for Friday night to break up what I knew would be a brutal drive from Ft. Myers to Big Pine Key for Memorial Day weekend. Fairway Inn appeared at the top of the list, was highly rated and had a reasonable rate.
When we arrived I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the grounds in a city that isn't known for being cofured. I was even more impressed when I entered the office and was warmly greeted by Juanita. She exuded warmth, friendliness and professionalism. After an efficient check-in we made it to our room and found it to be clean and adequate for our needs.
Long story short, in a town where everything I wrote about above is hard to find, the Fairway Inn delivers the goods.

It's fairly convenient and inexpensive, with a decently sized room. There is some food and drink available to purchase from the office, although can be a little pricey for what it is (e.g. $3 for Gatorade). Room was a little grimey (mostly the floor, and there was hair left about the place), but there's decent AC and you get parking. You also get a decent sized mini fridge and a microwave. The tradeoff is, of course, you have to eat out more and that is quite expensive!
It's within drivable distance of a fair amount of dining places and, for the main reason we were there, it was equidistant between several entrances to the Everglades. Decent for a budget holiday!

Stayed here to go on a cruise because of the convenience of the location and of course the price. Upon arriving the hotel the property looks clean, however the receptionist was extremely rude. The first room she gave me was under construction i had to go back and ask for a different room she gave me a dirty look and never apologized for her negligence. Before leaving i saw 2 baby roaches in my room i do not recommend even for the price

Overall, the hotel was okay for what we needed. The location was convenient for visiting the Everglades, which was a big plus. The beds were comfortable, and despite the air conditioning being pretty weak, it did keep the room comfortable enough — it just seemed to run constantly.

There were a few downsides. The room had a noticeable moldy smell, and the shower curtain wasn’t installed correctly, so water ended up all over the bathroom floor after showering. Housekeeping never came during our 4-night stay, which was disappointing. Also worth noting there’s no actual breakfast, just a small grab-and-go option.

About halfway through our stay, Everglades fires started directly across the street from the hotel. Obviously that is not the hotel’s fault, but the smoke and smell were intense and came right into the room through the air conditioning. What was frustrating was the complete lack of communication about it. Even just a quick acknowledgment or update from staff would have gone a long way.

Not terrible for a short stay if you’re mainly using it as a base for exploring, but definitely could use some improvements.

We love coming here and will still be regulars because the staff and area are great. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing due to the bathroom condition — it didn’t seem properly cleaned, the shower had dark residue I hope it isn’t mold , the floors weren’t mopped, and the shower faucet was broken making it difficult to adjust the water randomly turns extremely hot. Still a nice place overall, and I hope this feedback helps maintain the usual standards.

Horrible place. The worst “hotel” I have ever seen. The place is nasty. I checked in at 6am after being up over 24 hours and when I went in the room, the bed was disgusting. It was full of yellow stains. I couldn’t even take a nap. Called and they said housekeeping wouldn’t come for HOURS. Tried to get a refund the same day cause I did not stay and they refused. I even shows them pictures of the stains. The staff is horrible with disgusting attitudes. The lady literally hung up on me when I was explaining the situation. Literally hung up while I was talking. The rooms smelled like smoke. I would not recommend this place even if it was the last place on earth. Don’t do it

DON'T STAY HERE..pulled up mattress to look for bugs and two old french fries fell out. The sheets were wrinkled. Staff gave me a second room...the door was propped open and a very old broom was right inside the door.

Breakfast was a brown bag of crappy food...to save cleaning costs. DON'T STAY HERE!

Said it offered a breakfast bar but it turns out you get a bag breakfast. Nothing I can eat since I’m gluten-free and nothing like the pictures shown. No option for a toaster to cook your own bread. nothing but a brown paper bag with an orange, juice box and a granola bar in it. Rooms are very rundown and extremely small TV and you don’t get all the channels. The only plus is it’s location to the national parks

My first impression was how clean and manicured the grounds were. Check in was a breeze, again I was impressed by the cleanliness of the lobby and friendliness of the staff. Parking was clean, well-marked and sufficient in size. The common areas are super well-lit at night and there are BBQ areas for guest to utilize. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The rooms are not lavish, but everything was clean and in working order. We came to visit family in the area. It was a great choice and the value for the money was super exceptional. The location is awesome. You can eat and shop within walking distance. It is close to the expressway and a short drive to Key Largo. I will definitely be staying there again in the future.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a young woman that was obviously having a bad day. She told us what we were not allowed to do, where we might be able to park our Harley in the rain and tossed us a map of where our room was. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean as well as the rooms. The tv kept giving me issues. The breakfast “bag” was not good. It was a frozen burrito, orange and the smallest juice box I’ve ever seen. The good thing is it’s surrounded by restaurants. Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks are just a few steps away. Walmart is a 5min drive. Overall it was a good stay.

The woman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful! She gave a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area as well.
I like that our room was close to parking and the pool, and that they provide breakfast baggies in lieu of a continental breakfast. It was more convenient for national park adventures!
The room was clean and also tidied during our stay. I do think the water was too hard to truly feel clean in the shower, but it was okay and didn’t hinder the experience.
The pool was nice to sit by on the first day. I didn’t swim in it, so I can’t speak to that. Check out was easy!

This has become our go to place when in South Florida if we do not have our camper. Only issue is the key card issues at the pool, been that way for last few visits and usually one card of two will never work at room. Wish they could have longer pool hours and would still use the water fall, it was always relaxing. Miss the old full breakfast of the past. But we will continue to come back to this location.

Terrible experience with this hotel. The rooms are in absolutely disgusting condition — it feels like they are never cleaned. The bed sheets were dirty, with hair and stains all over them, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The pillows were dirty as well, very unpleasant to even touch.

The bathroom was just as bad — everything was filthy, and the fixtures clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The floors throughout the room were dirty, giving the impression that housekeeping either doesn’t exist or does the bare minimum.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. These conditions are completely unacceptable.
