Bed bug infested disgrace of a hotel

Avoid at all cost, checked in, it’s supposed to be a spa hotel, 3rd of June and the pool is not in use, asked about the spa, was informed we had to book it at a cost of €35 each for a two hour slot, but because it was after 4.00 we couldn’t book it until 10.00 am the following morning, when you have to be out by 12.00 from the hotel.
We had booked for dinner, what a disaster, salmon mouse, looked like dog sick, black hair in my wife’s salad, and the sirloin beef came cut up already, as tough as old boot leather.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, we got back to the room, Isle 4, found we had no water for a shower, went to get in to bed only to find it infested with bed bugs !!!!!
Reported it to the owner, he offered us another room, but we declined, I’ve never been out of a hotel so quick in my life !!!

Excellent staff and very accommodating. Absolutely stunning venue right next to the river Loire outstanding restaurant and atmosphere right next to the river which is such a lovely peaceful place to have dinner. Food exceptional.

Nice staff, outdated SPA

Great place for an isolated SPA vacation. Got stuck outside trying to get back in after hours, was not given the code and was told it would be opened. Nice staff and great outside pool, inside pool needs a new lining. Not bad but not a place that I would chose to go back to. Really nice staff in an outdated resort.

Worth a visit

The location of this hotel on the banks of the river, is, as the name suggests, very quiet and a little remote. Le Lude is about 1.5kms away. On arrival the reception was very good and helpful. The room was pleasant but had very limited views. We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be of a high quality. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The property seemed unable to have English speaking guests; language was a problem; the restaurant had only 1 of 3 menus available; we had to make do with the Plat D'Jour instead of either the A la Carte or Gourmet which we would have preferred.

Quiet location

Lovely peaceful location but with good access to local amenities. Eating in the restaurant was good but in no way exceptional. However, the hotel was fairly empty and therefore the large restaurant area lacked any atmosphere as there was only one other couple dining.

Not busy considering this was a Friday deep in vacation period, but very welcoming despite late arrival. restaurant is good, lovely terrace location next to Le Loir. Rooms spacious, nice swimming pool, excellent breakfast.

If you want somewhere small and quiet then this fits the bill. Nothing fancy. Good low cost stop off on journey south. Food was good also two local towns are easy to get to. Staff are friendly with a bit of Engish spoken, a few French phrases plus a bit of gesticulation and you will get by. Pretty location (old mill), good sized pool, rooms are a bit bigger than an average bedroom with tv, desk, shower and toilet. If the sun's out ther's plenty of quiet corners round the place. Would stop here again.

Domaine de la Courbe - Idyllic surroundings

Beautifully and tastefully renovated period buildings, luxuriously and confortably furnished in such a peaceful setting. The owners are welcoming, friendly and considerate and the restaurant is simple but good value. We will visit again at the first opportunity.

Eau chaude longue à arriver dans la douche et le réglage est très difficile à faire avec des robinets dure et peu précis. Le pommeau de douche était plein de tartre donc une douche peu agréable.
Le sol de la salle de bain était limite, joints noirs autour du bac de douche et contour des wc sale

Séjour décevant. La chambre n’avait pas de climatisation, ce qui la rendait très étouffante, surtout la nuit. J’ai également constaté la présence de moisissures dans la salle de bain, ce qui est inacceptable pour un hôtel. Le rapport qualité-prix n’est pas au rendez-vous.

Voulez-vous que je vous prépare aussi une version plus ironique et piquante pour marquer davantage les esprits ?

À mon arrivée, j'ai été accueilli par deux jeunes filles à la réception. Elles n'étaient pas très souriantes ni très avenantes, et l'accueil manquait cruellement de convivialité.On a l'impression qu'elle dépannait qqn à l'accueil et n 'était pas du métier. De plus, j'ai remarqué qu'on avait omis de me fournir les informations sur le wifi, et il n'y avait pas de réseau disponible ds la cbr et il a fallu que je remonte pr recuperer le code. L'accès aux chambres par un chemin caillouteux en descente et glissant n'était pas des plus pratiques. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai eu l'impression que cet hôtel est davantage reconnu pour ses installations de spa.

A FUIR !!! SERVIETTE TACHEE 30 EUROS à payer

mon séjour n'a pas été une reussite et je ne recommanderai pas cet hotel NOUS AVONS ETE LOGE en contrebas dans la chambre portant le n°1 pres du restaurant

A notre arrivée la chambre n'était pas aérée et avait une désagréable et forte odeur..A part le loir et l'environnement rien ne nous a plus. encore plus surprenant et indécent Le directeur de l'hotel est venu me voir dans ma chambre pour me dire qu'une serviette était tachée et que je devais payer le nettoyage. Il m'a rajouté qu'il a déja une pile de serviettes tachées et m'a fait reglé 30 euros pour le nettoyage d une serviette je precise pas d 'un drap de bain lorsque l'on sait que le prix pour un nettoyage de serviette est estimé à moins de 4 euros ... du jamais vu j avoue que c est assez extravageant !!! pourtant j ai parcouru le monde et dans de beaux hotels
.
En parcourant cet hotel sur le site il est indiqué 4 étoiles au lieu de 3 étoiles malgre tout il me paraissait le plus aguichant de la region mais grande fut ma deception .je me répugne de parler de l'état de propreté des abords de
la piscine du sous sol et du petit déjeuner insolite que nous avons pris le 1er jour seulement. Enfin cet endroit est à fuir aucun intérêt et c'est bien dommage ..je remplacerai le nom domaine trés pompeux par le mot \"gite\" de la courbe... comme je le regrette d'avoir été aussi trompée je pensais passer deux jours agréables mais non! désenchantement total
je met en garde les nouveaux clients

Nous avons apprécié le confort de la chambre quadruple avec vue sur Le Loir. Petit déjeuner continental inclus varié. L'extérieur de l'hôtel est agréable. Un petit salon détente pour déguster des boissons chaudes en fin d'après-midi et faire des jeux de société serait un plus. Personnel agréable et disponible, chambre propre. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Belle demeure rénovée au bord de l’eau !!
À l’arrivé chambre surclassée !!! Chambre supérieure, neuve, très spacieuse, superbe déco !!petit frigo à disposition, café thé petit gâteau eau dans chambre !
Grand bureau, belle salle de bain avec grande douche à l’italienne ! Très bonne literie avec superbe tête de lit !
Bon accueil avec le sourire et les bonnes infos de l’hôtel qui fait SPA: très belles installations dans un vieux moulin/ papeterie avec bcp de charme !!
Parking à disposition et sûr!
Bon petit déjeuner ( un peu cher ) , dîner formule à prix correct qui est excellent !!

Love the place

Booked 2 nights through hotels.com, but ended up staying longer. Such a nice quiet place, with the river and nature around. Easy parking and cleaning in the room everyday. 6 km away from the small town, where you can find good bakeries and visit the castle.

Nous avions réservé une nuit en couple. A notre arrivée la réceptionniste nous a demandé si nous voulions dîner au restau du domaine, nous avons demandé à voir la carte avant de réserver. Arrivés au resto 1h après, la serveuse nous informe que la chef est malade et qu’il n’y a que 2 plats au menu, nous sommes partis diner ailleurs ce qui n’a pas été simple car pas grand chose à Lude. Le lendemain matin , je prend ma douche et touche par inadvertance le robinet de douche et je me brûle le bras (voir photo) , je passe à l’accueil demander un peu de biafine, la réceptionniste, pas très chaleureuse, me répond qu’ils n’ont rien pour moi et retourne à ses affaires. De plus le joint de la douche ne tient pas et la salle de bain s’est retrouvé inondé. La nuit a également été difficile car nous avons été envahis par une horde de moustiques, pas de moustiquaire à disposition donc à moins de fermer la fenêtre pas possible de dormir, malheureusement il faisait chaud et il n’y avait pas de Clim non plus .Donc établissement trop cher pour les prestations offertes.

Cadre exceptionnel mais proprete et confort decevant. Pleins de toiles d'araignees et d'araignées. Matelas très dur. Et acces a la chambre plutot dangereux avec des enfants. (Ouvrir la porte, tomber nez a nez avec un escalier assez raide. Chambre en sous pente )
