The room was nicely furnished with a king bed with mattress topper (very soft!) Lots of pillows. The room had all the amenities (Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, and, I think, more but I can't remember what the other appliance was!)

The bathroom was nice and well appointed. Adequate supply of very nice towels.

I have no hesitations recommending The Colonial

Prefect experience on all counts. Expectational staff and property. If you need to visit this region, forget every place else and book here. This hotel will make you feel at home, and you will sleep like a rock. I have stayed in top hotels around the world, and no place comes closer the that at home experience. The pictures on their website do not do it justice. The owners are professional, kind, and always happy to help with any issue or question. 10 out of 5 stars.

Josh was kind and helpful checking us in, even though we arrived late at night. Parking was a breeze, well lit and very close to the room. Everything is well kept and very clean.

We slept well. All were quiet. How nice it was to have three large towels instead of the usual two. I didn’t have to use my husband‘s wet towel for my hair!

We were so comfortable and appreciated our stay. Keurig was in the room and coffee helped us get started on our way. Very friendly staff. I’m sending a big shout out for their housekeeper. She is a gem!

We definitely would come back and recommend it to others!

This place is amazing. We travel a lot and stay in all different kinds of places. We thought this place was impeccably clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom is updated, the fridge has a freezer, the coffee was actually good, the place looks cute and the owner is terrific. We will come back and highly recommend!

The room was so clean and well furnished with a fridge, freezer, and microwave. We slept like babies because the pillows, bedding, and mattress were so comfortable. The night manager was courteous and even called and left a message when we didnt arrive until close to 10pm with instructions to self check in in case we arrived when he was away from the lobby. Would stay again! Also, need to find out where we can get those pillows!

I've stayed at the Colonial Motel a couple of times, exploring the local area, hiking, kayaking. Places like the Colonial are increasingly rare these days. A welcoming and authentic place to stay- and it's the nicest building in town, refreshing pool, comfortable room, and a ten minute drive in several directions to recreation and decent food.

What a charming place! This motel is well-maintained, clean, and has such a cute atmosphere, perfect for a little getaway. The staff was so kind - we were greeted in the lobby by the owner (I believe?) and he was so incredibly friendly. The room was lovely and well-decorated - I especially loved the bedspread. And the pool is great as well. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again!

First off, There is Colonial Motel and Colonial House. I was in the house. Overall, a good stay. Quiet (down right peaceful) and clean. It is an older house but clean. The only draw back was the bed was too soft. Some people may like it, but to soft for me.

I had a room in the main house, built in the 1860s and loved it. They tried to keep some of the old world charm in the room with a huge tall queen size bed with a big pile of pillows, original cast iron radiator and even the slightly squeaky wood floors under the carpet. If you love old houses like i do, you'll love the old timey atmosphere. With mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room you also had your modern touches. It was clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. Bed and pillows were awesome. Slept like a rock. I've stayed in many of the higher priced B&Bs in the area and prefer this place by far. Décor is quaint and quirky. Shower was excellent....and we stayed in the lowest tier room. Staff was very patient, kind and helpful. Only stayed one night but will certainly be back for a longer stay. Oh, and the farm fresh eggs are a great deal too.... real hidden gem. I was pleasantly surprised.

Gem of a place in Grand Gorge

This is a gem of a place in the tiny village of Grand Gorge! It was easy to find and a very good value. I especially appreciated the great customer service we got. The owners could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They care about their property and the people staying there very much. Highly recommend if you are in the Catskills! I would also recommend Pizza Plus just down the block if you are looking for a good, filling lunch or dinner that doesn't cost a fortune.
