Lovely stay here before catching the ferry to NI. Was a fantastic size room with plenty of space for our LO to run around and play. Having a kitchenette with microwave oven was really useful after a long day travelling and meant we could easily make something in the room but there is also a great list of local restaurants and takeaways too.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The rooms were self-contained units with beds, bathroom, small kitchen and sitting area. Facilities were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was in our room waiting for us. Lots of options - croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereals. It was no problem to ask for more, if needed. All rooms are dog-friendly. Even a cage was provided. Fantastic location right across from the beach!
It's a great place to explore the area, or if travelling to/from Cairnryan. However, please be aware, there isn't a restaurant, bar or lounge area, if that's what you're expecting.

Travelers should be aware that the restaurant in the hotel has been closed for quite a while. Moreover breakfast is not SERVED in the hotel; you have in your room croissants wrapped in plastic, cereal boxes, teabags, instant coffee, all self-service. It is a lonely and remote place. It’s essentially a rental room with housekeeping, not a hotel.

The Hotel room was clean and comfortable the hotel was shut so couldnt get drink or meal in hotel, had room service so ordered meal to eat in bedroom, poor menu choice no starter or sweet just option 4 mains, no cooked breakfast which is absolutely appalling for money they are charging £168 what a joke, 2 croissants jam fruit yoghurt, no damn good to a farmer was flippin starving had to call for breakfast on way home before a 4.5 hr drive back, only good thing was nice view but complete rip off

Woodland Bay hotel was great, pity the restaurant was closed which was due to COVID and staffing. Continental breakfast was provided in the unit which was sufficient for our 2 day stay. The mezzanine unit was tastefully decorated and furnished Good recommendations in the visitors book with a jewel of a restaurant in town about 25 min walk down the seafront or £5 in a taxi (it was raining that night). Not much in Girvan itself but lots of beautiful surrounding places to walk or drive to.

Great place and location. It is on the other side of the road from the ocean. GREAT service. They were asking you to check out at 10a which was a big bummer since we checked in after 9p. Guess that’s due to Covid, but perhaps they’ll let you stay to 11a if you ask. They totally stock your fridge with basics for breakfast and snacks. Great place!!

This is a safe and clean hotel, with huge rooms and a nice bathroom. The sea view along side is lovely, but be careful if you cross the road to get closer as there can be traffic speeding past. The restaurant is situated in a different building but not far away at all. Overall it’s quite a good, reliable place.

We used the Woodlandbay Hotel as an overnight stop on way to a wedding. Six of us had an evening meal which was good and the hotel went out of their way to accommodate a late-ish booking time.

Great sized n very comfy bed. Warm room and good location for views. I like the local town for a great Indian. Breakfast freshly cooked with good quality ingredients only real downside is poor tv reception and cups not mugs in the room, I like a mug of tea.

To be pedantic, this is a motel, not a hotel. All rooms are accessed directly from outside and it's an outdoor trek to breakfast. That aside, this is the best hotel experience I've had in a long time; it has to be a 9.8 out of 10.

Short drive out of Girvan along the coastal road. Great view of the sea and surrounding area, you can even walk along the beech of an evening.
Hotel rooms were some way from the resteraunt, so good job it wasn't raining. Food was excellent as was the staff at breakfast. I arraived late in the evening so did not get a chance to sample the evening meal option, but I'm sure it would of been good based on the quality of the breakfast.
