Im sure its hard to keep a hotel of this size fully maintained. My room was musty, itchy, and hot when i checked in. Its a smaller town and i need to stay there when i do, and i will again next year. The old guy is a hard worker and maybe under staffed. Maybe turn the ac on when the room is booked out...idk i work on cars. Id still give you a 4/5 just for being there...the other one is haunted. Id feel better abouy paying $150 a night if it wasnt musty.

Softball team stayed here and multiple parents complained of the cleanliness of rooms. Our styrofoam coffee cups in room were dirty. Clipped toenails on back of toilet. No available outlets to charge phones. No USB outlets. Breakfast was slim. Would be nice to have a fruit and/or yogurt option. Will not recommend staying here.

Sleepy hotel that produced a convenient stay during a 4th of July visit for Annandale's festivities. Check-in was a bit different in that no one was staffing the front with a message to call for assistance. Not a huge deal as a gentleman answered and said he'd be right out. Breakfast was cold fair and quick something before hitting the road. room was excellent.

The person at check in qas incredibly rude. He didn't want to give me a receipt. We did travel with 2 cats. He was very curt. The room was ok. The cloth shower curtains had stains. The sheets also had yellow stains on them.

The housekeeper this morning was so kind and helpful! She should be the front desk agent.

The front desk staff was amazing helping me to ewnauee we had ajoining rooms once we were checking in. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were great as we had a situation where our two year old locked himself in one of the ajouning rooms and the door was padlocked and security locked. The maintenance man came back in and got our terrified grandson out. Everyone was wonderful in this scary situation.

Not only was the facility not clean. It also had ants in the bathroom all over the floor our blanket was dirty. The coffee pot was dirty and the tray underneath it was dirty the pool and hot tub. We’re both closed however I don’t think we would’ve used them anyways because when we walked in there, they appeared dirty as well. They did not tell us this upon checking in and offered no compensation when we found out. The only thing that seemed truly clean was the sheets. I did message this property requesting at least a partial refund however they never responded.

I booked two rooms for four people each (8 people total). The only rooms they had were king suites, so we assumed in order to sleep four, the couch must pull out into a bed. Which we were fine with. It did, but there were no pillows and blankets for the pull out beds! We called to get some and the front desk tried to tell us we would have to pay extra for them!?!? If I book a room for four people, I shouldn’t have to pay extra to get bedding for four people. We finally got him to agree to give us the bedding and then he said we would have to go get them from the front desk ourselves. It should have already been in the rooms. Then, even though we had one booking for two rooms, our rooms were not even on the same floor. The room on the main floor was FREEZING and would not warm up even when set to 90. The other room was ridiculously hot and would not cool down, even when we turned it off. For reference, it was about zero degrees outside. Wouldn’t have complained about the temperature but the rude customer service (or lack of) warranted a review.

Incorrectly double booked,no house keeping service

Upon arrival they had me double booked. I needed to spent over 30 minutes on chat with a hotels.com agent to confirm I only had 1 room booked and to get refunded for the extra room I never booked.
Even though I was exhausted after a day of travel, I was pleased that we got this resolved. And the hotel office gentleman was kind.
My second disappointment was there was no cleaning or maid service? During my 3 night stay, my room was never cleaned and even though after night two, I requested from the front desk for clean towels, I still had no house keeping service.
Upon asking the next morning, the front desk said he asked the cleaning to attend to my room, they checked iff that they did!?
So, unfortunately not the best experience.

Breakfast space was small and seemed crowded with the tables in there. May be move some of the tables into the lobby area. The food was not stocked very well but the staff, when notified, replenish to meet current needs.

With the number of trains (6) that go by the property at night made for quite a noisy stay. Did not know that the window was open.

We reported cleanliness issues last time we stayed. We ended up with the same room and the problems had not been taken care of and were worse.

There were stains on the bed skirt. A rusty and moldy shower head. Mold on the shower curtain and wall above the shower. It was obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed behind the nightstand in a very long time.

When checking in they gave us the wrong room, 1 Queen vs 2 and then it took at least 15 minutes for them to correct.

We were out until 11pm and our room key did not work on the front security door. There was nobody at the front desk to notice so had to call the front desk to get access into the hotel.

Finally, when we dropped off our bag in our room upon arrival we noticed that the window was not locked and the screen had been bent as though someone had tried to gain entry at some point. If we had not happened to look, who knows if any of our stuff would still have been there on our return.

We travel to visit family in the area about once a month. Unfortunately we will be finding a different place to stay as this is unacceptable.

Stayed two weeks, staff is I believe husband and wife very sweet couple. Train isnt as bad as most make it out, beds are very comfortable. My whole 2 weeks my room was made up everyday. Overall a nice hotel but not worth the rates they charge. Found comparable hotel for over half cheaper than this hotel with better amenities. That was my main complaint here

This hotel was a nice cheaper option to stay at. The building is slightly outdated but definitely did not affect our stay. The worker was quite polite and helpful. I do feel like the bathroom could use a deep scrub but it was not gross by any means. Overall I would stay again.

The Good: It shares a parking area with an adjacent mini-mall with a wine store. VERY easy to find. I could barely hear the trains mentioned in other reviews. AC/heater silent and best temp control ever. Fridge and microwave in room that worked. Tap water very drinkable. Breakfast includes wafflemaker, fruit, little sweet rolls and muffins (continental), just no meat or eggs or yogurt. With the small number of guests it's a logical breakfast.

Not so good: a coffeemaker in-room but not coffee packets. But just down the hall in the lobby was 24/7 coffee with real creamers, etc.
Would recommend property to a friend.
