The building is old. There was nobody at the desk when we arrived at night. The check-in was done entirely in virtual (Zoom/Teams style video call).
It took a couple of tryout to have the cards assigned to our room. But, look, for the price, that was okay. The lady in video chat was very nice. The room itself was clean. So, if you just need a room to sleep, that is more than okay for the price.

Room was very nice! Really liked the windows seat, not sure if it's a feature in every room, but was by far my favorite. Staff was nice when available. Bathrooms seem a bit outdated, but all in all a nice hotel and nice rooms. Great location for walking around and getting places like Byrne Dairy or Tops grocery store. I liked my stay and experience!

Stayed on the 1st floor with a service dog. The room smelled awful - like wet dirty dogs, and my dog is cleaned weekly and doesn't smell at all. Even she noticed the smells and was sneezing. The price was cheap so I didn't expect much but the air conditioner did not work at all, not even the fan so it was hot in the room, making the smells worse. Tried to call the front desk - phone did not even get a ring tone, besides there was no one at the desk at check in because check-in is electronic on a monitor in the lobby. There are NO real pepole to talk to here. The TV was on when I entered the room for the first time which was odd to me, but then I realized why when I tried to turn it off - it doesn't turn off at all - AND, you can't unplug it becuse the plug is somewhere unaccessible! The carpeting was just about worn through in places, stained along with the walls and the bathtub but the bed was okay, comfortable and had the entire mattress wrapped in a protector covering. I did get a couple little bites but didn't see any bed bugs or bed bug markings anywhere. Take your chances I guess - you get what you pay for. :(

Check in: This place is impossible to get ahold of. Call the front desk and you get routed to an AI agent. Went to check in and it is with a virtual receptionist that has no clue about the property, where our room was, etc. No staff at night. Zero hospitality. Booked this through hotels.com but when we arrived we had to pay an additional fees which made the room even more unreasonably priced.
Would have left if we had not been desperate for a place to stay, lucky for them. Peeling wallpaper, shower did not drain, mouse traps. The worst part is we were in town for an event so unfortunately on top of all of this we paid almost $200 for the night. They didn’t even have decent coffee.

The room was dirty, with crumbs on the bed and on the floor. There was a strong, unpleasant smell. The hotel is poorly maintained. The air in the room was especially bad, as if the AC filter hadn’t been replaced in a long time.
We asked to switch rooms, and although the attendant was very kind and gave us clean sheets, there were no other rooms available. It was already after 10 p.m., and we were exhausted — otherwise, we would have gone to another hotel.

We were in town for a wedding and only stayed one night. The check in was quick and the people were friendly. The elevator was a bit clunky, but the room was clean. We didn't notice any weird or unusual odors. The beds were comfortable. It served us well and we would stay again.

It was ok in general - nothing outstanding or unacceptable. However, there were a few maintenance issues that should be addressed.
1. Steps leading to the west parking area are dangerously uneven, particularly the bottom step. The stairs have sunk relative to the parking lot curb.
2. The elevator door is noisy (needs fixing) and at times did not open when called to the second floor even though the elevator had come to that floor. Had to push the call button again. Finally, there is no elevator inspection signage. Doesn’t NY require periodic inspections?
3. The tub in our room (207) appeared to be dirty on the bottom. Turns out to be stained or worn but clean.
4. The TV remote can not turn the tv on or off (must use button on tv) and there is no channel guide. Those buttons on the remote either do not work or the remote is not correctly paired with the tv. In addition there was no paper channel guide in the room. Had to spend a lot of time going channel to channel to find something acceptable (9000 to pick from). The tv was on when we arrived.
5. The heat/a/c units are extremely noisy when their compressors are running (derp rumble). We turned ours off but neighboring room units still kept us awake. Again, room 207. Thank goodness it was not summer or winter.

Great location! Rooms are dated. Bed was comfortable, however, I stayed 3 nights and ended up buying a pillow at Walmart after night 1 because the pillows were so flat. The hotel was quiet and I would stay again.

Could not connect to internet. Partial label for password visible on desk but remainder rubbed off. No response from non-existent desk when I tried to get a password. Virtual desk only. No humans at desk on premises. Would not use shower because tub with no safety mat, no hold bar. Slip and fall danger too great.

Ive been charged 3 times for 2 days with which was a total charge of $77, the next charge $182 then at check in another $100 when upgrading my room to accommodate when told no extra charge and not getting the protection for the booking im not sure they will give me any refund. Hotel was a little on the dated side but not in a bad way. It was clean, and well cared for. Quiet and no concerns about safety or issues on the property. As I said it was a bit dated, and some things wear more worn than others, but it felt more like coming home. Tons of hot water and friendly faces.

I’d give zero stars if I could. Rooms and hallways were dirty and had a horrible odor, found mouse droppings in bed of two rooms. Hotel staff (which was not in person) was less than helpful. After 3 attempts at a clean room, we left and booked another hotel near by. We did leave something behind and when we returned to get it, the two people who met us were very rude. After we contacted Expedia regarding a refund since the remote “employee” said the hotel was not responsible for a refund. The Expedia representative said they needed to contact the hotel and wanted the remote kiosk person’s name which she would only give her first name and no other information.

I was travelling solo and when i pulled in the parking lot i really didnt get any good vibes. There were no other cars in the parking lot and it was 530pm. Check in was virtual and i just didnt get that \"safe\" feeling. Room was OK but dated. Toilet would not flush and electric outlet under the desk was not attached to the wall. I had read previous reviews but still stayed because i know some folks are dramatic but nope they were not dramatic. I got what i paid for. Lesson learned.

Work in area and with all the snow have been using this for sleep instead of driving home in horrible snow storms .

I checked in quickly and was given the room key to my room at the end of the 2nd floor. The hotel was practically empty with the holiday coming. The room was neat and clean. The light over the window seat was not working. I discovered late evening that I had no hot water! I let it run about 10 minutes and it barely got lukewarm. The he bathroom was clean, but is in need of updating. The person on the desk the next morning was informed of my lack of hot water and asked if she could have maintenance check it out while I went out. I thought it was taken care of. Later that night I was going to shower, but after letting the water run for 17 minutes, the temperature was just lukewarm! I was able to tolerate sponge bathing at the sink , but unable to shower during my stay.

Finger Lakes Inn was easy to get to, and I was driving from lower Westchester. My room was clean and inviting. The staff was polite and were knowledgeable of the area. I lost my hotel key, and a replacement was given without any hassle. The price point was exactly what I was willing to pay. All in all, a very good place to stay. My stay was from 10/11-10/13/25.

It was by far the smallest hotel room I have ever been in. It did not look this small in the pictures by any means. The elevator made an atrocious noise every time. Every night the inside main door was left to jar so anybody could just walk in even if you were not a guest. I just think the price was too high for the size of the room but if you don't care about that then it's okay to stay in. It was a one bed queen room that just my husband and I stayed in but I still felt claustrophobic.

The rooms smell like very old. I think they need to air them out and open windows. Probably the due to age of rugs. It's a no smoking hotel but the lobby smells like cigarettes.

I left the hotel shortly after checking in. The front desk clerk was remote, elevator was broken, the main light switch in the room did nothing, it smelt awful, the TV was on, what I would assume was the previous occupant left their empty money envelop on the desk, the door wasn’t overly secure and the microwave was moldy and very dirty. I did not feel comfortable or safe in that location and booked another with in 5 minutes of arriving.

We stayed here in Fall 2023 - seemed 'better' back then.
Just stayed here Sept 6th-7th - 1 night. Bathroom adequate but looks tired and not updated.
No drain cover on sink? black Mold spotted around tub caulked edge.
But- One really Nice thing - VERY nice hot water and lots of it- made 2 fill ups on a bath I took before bed.
mattress on bed comfortable enough, mattress was encased - did have to retrieve something that fell close to under bed....NOT clean under there.
Cob webs, candy wrapper, dust.
The place needs a 'refresh' ....

I regret paying for this property. The hotel advertises an EV charger, but it is not managed by them since it belongs to the ViaLynk network, so it’s misleading to list it as a perk when you don't help guests to use it and you have to figure it put how it works and how to pay.

Check‑in was through a self‑service kiosk with a remote “agent” who could do little more than take payment and issue keys. Service was unhelpful and impersonal.

The first room (second floor) smelled so bad that within minutes we felt nauseous. After requesting a change, we were moved to a first‑floor room where we soon spotted a mouse running across the floor.

Maintenance is very poor. Furniture, bathroom fixtures, and towels were all worn out or terrible quality. The TV didn’t work, and when I asked for help, I was told the only way to use it was to leave the room door open so the DirecTV signal could reach it.

We stayed the night only because it was too late to find another hotel. The next morning, cockroaches were crawling across the desk.

This property is in unacceptable condition and should not be operating. Save your money and avoid this hotel.

Never went there. Cancelled our trip due to unexpected death notification in our family. Called to cancel and requested a refund but was lied to by hotel.com reps along with expedia rep! Clear as day why they were hit with a huge lawsuit for online hotel booking wrong doings! The hotel was not much help either! Waited over three weeks for a response never got one.Heartless!
