Try a different place.

This is not a four star hotel. Mattress terrible, no tea or coffee or kettle. No curtain or blind on WC - used towel to hide from neighbours balcony. Noisy aircon. A lift to fit two persons only so most guests have to lug their bags upstairs.
Location is the only thing this hotel has got.

The hotel was in a nice position. Parking was awful, no spaces and this was November so out of holiday season. Breakfast was awful, no coffee, stale bread and out of date yoghurt. Sink in bathroom was loose. Beds had super soft mattress toppers, this made the bed way too soft and ending up hurting my back.

Probably one of the worst hotels we stayed at. Check in took ages as multiple guests were there at the time we arrived complaining about the condition of their rooms and missing reservations. The room we were given was apparently \"refurbished\" but looked nothing like the pictures on the listing. The bathroom was ancient, the triple room is not as spacious as described and it was dirty when we first checked in. The rooms were never cleaned proactively, we had to ask for it at the reception every morning. The toilets in the lobby were unacceptably dirty and staff didn't seem to bother when feedback was given. The location is great as it's right at the heart of Lefkada town however the area outside the hotel is a construction site as they are still rebuilding the square. Parking is not easy! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone as you can find a better accommodation in the centre at a similar price. Overall, a very poor experience!

When we arrived at the hotel, we had to wait for about 15-20 minutes to check in. We rang the bell, but no one came. We walked around inside the hotel and tried to find someone to assist us! Eventually, someone arrived, but they couldn't find our reservation at first. Then the key card they gave us for the room didn't work, so they gave us a physical key instead. Later, we realized that the room door wasn't actually locked and could be easily opened from outside. When we went to the reception desk to explain the situation, they said they would take care of it. However, while our friends were waiting for us in the lobby (for about 30 minutes), no one came to fix the issue in our room. We called the reception multiple times, but couldn't reach anyone. In the end, we left our valuable belongings in our friends' room and requested that the lock problem be resolved by the time we returned. When we came back around 10 pm, our door still hadn't been fixed. We called the reception again, but there was no receptionist available, only a staff member with whom we had difficulty communicating in English. Finally, he realized that the batteries in the door lock had died and replaced them. We were kept waiting for a whole day for such a simple problem to be resolved. We stayed for five nights, and even though our check-in and check-out dates were the same, our friends' room was never cleaned. Overall, the hotel was completely unprofessional and provided very low-quality service.

Construction around the front in a huge area. Which can be understandable but there was no parking so we had to bring our luggage a long distance and drag it thru construction and all their stuff was out in the way. Then the room spelt like raw sewage. Area is beautiful! Once all done the area will be beautiful! Just to fix the smell. Also why steps in the lobby two , to lift your luggage up to the elevator makes no sense!

I loved the location, I loved the large room with the three beds and we all slept so comfortably. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite when we were at the hotel. I originally called the hotel myself to make a booking and felt the person who answered the phone \"brushed me off\", so I ended up getting my reservation online.

Could be so much better!

This hotel has a great location, with views over the harbour from the front rooms. In spite of on-going \"refurbishments\" the hotel remains shabby and worn. Everything has been done on the ultra-cheap and it's a shame because it could be great due to its location. Beds are comfortable and bedrooms clean. En-suites difficult. Good wi-fi and good front-desk service. Sadly, the only better hotels in town are small \"boutique\" type hotels.

Sleepless night, never again in this place

We couldn’t sleep the whole night because a group of teenagers on a school trip partied the whole night, and our room was allocated amongst them.
Very considerate, isn’t it?
It was a nightmare. We’re not going to stay there ever again, but I don’t think it’s very clever to prioritise school trips over other paying customers like us

Faded harbour-front hotel in Lefkas Town.

This hotel has been partially refurbished in the cheapest way possible. However, the room rate is also cheap, so I guess one can't complain. There is very limited hotel choice in Lefkas town and other than a couple of small \"boutique hotels\" this is best of a bad bunch. Location is great, breakfast buffet very basic. Lefkas itself is a wonderful place to visit, but not in deep winter.

The hotel Lefkas appears to be an older property in town. The rooms are satisfactory in size, the staff friendly, and the amenities basic. All of this makes for a comfortable stay in Lefkas. Also, a free breakfast was offered but we found the food to be cold and of average quality.

Hotel Lefkas - Faded Glory, but trying hard!

Lovely lovely staff, but overall I would class the hotel as having \"faded glory\", as in it must have been lovely once, but needed some investment now! We stayed on both the second, and the third floors, but the second floor room was tired, but ok, but the third floor room was obviously part of their refurbishment program and was much much nicer.

This is the 3rd hotel we’ve stayed at in Lefkada and was the best of all of them. They had a family suite available and it was very comfortable with 2 rooms and an entrance area for the 4 of us. It would comfortably fit 5-6 people.

Centrally located hotel in Lefkas Town

This is still a very basic hotel, in spite of some \"renovation\". If only the hotel was as nice as the reception at the front desk which was helpful and charming. The sea-facing rooms have a truly great view over the harbour and lagoon, but the decor and furnishings leave much to be desired. The beds are fine, the room was clean and the ensuite tiny but adequate. Wi-Fi everywhere but very slow. In the end you get what you pay for and this, in spite of its grand look, is a basic hotel for a basic price. Lefkas town lacks a modern, well equipped hotel but this was still fair value for the price paid.

Good value hotel very well situated in Lefkas town

This partly refurbished hotel is let down by the common parts and the somewhat cheap refurbishment. It is very noisy due to all stone and wood floors, thin internal walls and doors and echoes in all the corridors. However, service is good, friendly and welcoming, wifi works well and location is great for Lefkas town. Rooms to the front have great views over the harbour and sea-front. Bedrooms have individual aircon units which also heat the rooms in winter. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean but the common parts not so, due mainly to the ongoing refurbishments. Breakfast not recommended if it costs extra. Altogether, a good value hotel for 1 or 2 nights..

Fantastic Hotel, Best in Ionian

This was my second stay at Lefkas Hotel, It's location is perfect, right in the center, but at the same time facing in a direction were you get no noise, and lots of fantastic views of the boats coming and going in the canal. It's clean, very comfortable big rooms, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel (and I travel for business frequently and stay in orders of magnitude more expensive hotels).

Excellent! the place to be!.

Fantastic neo-classical hotel recently renovated. The stuff was fantastic. This one lady at the reception had a beautiful smile and helped each and every person walking in no matter what the issue was, even non hotel related. The view from the sea view rooms is not to be missed, spend the extra few euros for it. The hotel is situated very close to the draw bridge were the yachts use for passage, and there's also a few berths right in front of the hotel.

Location is excellent, you are on the edge of the center, within 1 min walk from everywhere but the hotel faces off to the center, so you have no noise, it's the best combination of quiet, comfortable, and still right in the center.

Rooms were great, renovated, individual temperature control with split uni type ac, TV, a VERY comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom.

When reviewing hotels in Greece you always have to factor in that you are in greece, especially islands and lower your standards. You don't have to lower your standards at Lefkas hotel!.

HAVING A RESERVATION DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET THE ROOM

After a smooth check in, we went to the room, used the bathroom and unpacked. We then left for lunch. Our mistake? Dropping the heavy old fashion room keys at the front desk before we left.
When we came back, we found our bags behind the counter. The lady at the desk said the room had some electrical problems and we couldn't stay there. When we asked to go upstairs to check that they got all our belongings, they refused and when we insisted to check what was wrong with the room, they became nasty and rude and told us we weren't guests anymore and we had to leave. Things became heated and police was called in. We filed a report in case we discovered something was missing from our bags later. The police was very understanding and told the front desk lady that for no reasons the hotel staff can touch the guests belongings. Surprisingly the lady was very dismissive with the police as well. At the end we found out from the officer that our room had been given to guests that were staying longer than us, and that the electrical problem was just a lie. We ended up stay at the hotel next door where mold and chipped furniture kept us company during our short stay in Lefkada.

3 star hotel at a 5 star location

the building is old. there's no getting around it. the shower is weird, and the bed, tho large, is not what you're expecting. the matters is thin and feels like 2 parts sown together. but still, i slept very well.
the stuff is nice and welcoming.
breakfast is ok. real lacking of fresh veggies to me.
the location is great. can't really ask for more.
the rooms are large, comfortable and clean.
and above all, i got a decent price, so no complaints there.

Convenient hotel with lovely staff

We stayed here for one night before picking up a yacht in the marina to go sailing for a week. The welcome could not have been nicer and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our stay.

We checked in to the this hotel- staff were quite efficient and friendly. Once we got to our room we were a little disappointed as it wasn't quite like the pictures we had seen. We left our luggage and went to have dinner as we had arrived quite late. Upon our return we found cockroaches in the bathroom. We called reception immediately who offered us another room. I inspected the other room only to find it too had cockroaches. I complained to reception again and they sent someone to spray the bathroom. My daughter and I were horrified but by this stage it was midnight so we didn't use the bathroom and just went to sleep. By morning they had made it in to the bedroom. That was it. We were out of there. I advised the reception staff that we were leaving and wanted my money refunded, they said they'd have to speak to the manager. I had asked for speedy action on this as it was quite an amount we had paid and I was travelling for another 5weeks so would need it refunded as soon as possible. She said she would speak to the manager and they would get straight on it
It's been 7 weeks and they refuse to refund.

Stale smoke

Booked a superior room, double bed, non smoking. Got 2 single beds pushed together and a room that stank of stale smoke and air freshener - complete with ashtray on the dressing table.

Room itself nicely furnished and bathroom new fitted. Clean.

Also, location on map on hotels.com completely wrong, is at the other end of the quayside altogether.

We had booked the hotel for one night before embarking on a sailing trip. When we arrived, everything seemed to be ok. The check-in was quick. Our room however, was not set-up for three people as requested. When I went back to the lobby, the two reception clerks left the front desk and came with us to our room to convert a chair into a third bed, which was okay for one night - but for longer would have been unacceptable. In fact, the receptionist commented \"oh, you are here for only one night\" implying that not having the room comfortable for us was okay, since we would only be there for one night. They promised to return with a remote control for the air conditioner and never did. We were tired, so went to bed with sweatshirts on and a towel wrapped around my head to stay warm. Breakfast the next morning was disappointing also. This hotel provided the basics and was close to where we needed to be the next day, but other than that I would not stay here again

Great location, helpful staff, hollow doors...

Great location, within walking distance of the main town happenings, doors are hollow, so if there is noise in the hallways (which there was for most of one night with a noisy family and kids) you hear everything. Staff is excellent and very helpful. Pat king is non-existent if you have a car, but that's common for this location, you have to get creative and sometimes make your own parking spot.

Easy for the marina and sailing

We really appreciate the Greek lady and her friend who were at the desk over the time of 1st/2nd August. We do not know the names, but the grey-eyed Greek girl at reception was outstanding with her helpful, friendly and warm connection with customers. Thanks very much to her for making us feel so welcome. Overall, good value for the money and we would return to this hotel. It was a \"stop off\" from a sailing holiday, before the flight next day and it was made better because of the receptionist.

Overall, the hotel was decent. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. If you're not planning on spending much time in the hotel, then this place will serve just fine. If you're looking for luxury, don't bother staying here.

Things that could be improved are as follows:
- Shower: Hot water sometimes did not fully work
- Security: Concierge would take our room key when leaving the building, but would never ask us to show ID to get it back. A little troublesome on that front.

Hotel Lefkas was easy to find - it is the first thing you see when you cross the causeway! The young lady who greeted us was especially pleasant and helpful, and helped us find a nearby parking place. The view from our room and balcony was wonderful.

We stayed on two separate nights one at the beginning of our sailing holiday in June and one at the end. The room on night 1 was nice with a view over the front to the bay. Good value and pleasant. However this room was not available for our second stay a week later and the room we then had was very poor indeed. Clean but that's all that can be said for it. After the first night I would have recommended this hotel as good value and pleasant but clearly only if you have their best rooms. Anything other than that is not good. So.....hard to say if I would recommend this hotel or not.

Best location in town, and four star service. We also received a free room upgrade to a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the water. Our room was recently remodeled with a whirlpool tub, a nice vanity and very comfortable bed. The TV received many channels, and a large number of English movies.

The Hotel was well presented and the staff went that extra mile to get things right. Nothing was ever too much trouble even when a certain medication was needed it was there within an hour.The breakfast was laid out on time every morning and you helped yourself and again , nothing was too much trouble. a really enjoyable stay in very friendly surroundings.

It is dissappointing to think that hotels with a centred location provide so horrible service. There was nothing good to choose for breakfast. The worst breakfast I have ever had. They provide breakfast in the bar of the hotel, a very dirty area instead of the restaurant. Sometimes it was hard to find bread or coffee.

Nice position and room

They gave us a lovely room (308) with its own private balcony and lovely views. Rather a strange arrangement for breakfast - groups got theirs in the dining room between 7 and 8.30 (rather inferior) and individuals got theirs next door in a bar between 9 and 10.30 (much better choice) but initially also with very loud music. We sat outside to get away from it and the next day the music was at a much better level. We had complained and I expect others had too. I also wanted to print out our boarding passes and they couldn't help with this.

Great view from sea view room. Good facilities, tea and coffee in room. Think maintenance is a problem as we had to hold the shower head, stayed here twice, before and after cruise and rooms had similar maintenance problems. However would recommend it is very well located.
