This hotel is located in a great area of old town. Right by the walking street, restaurants, rental store fronts. It was super convenient. The place was very clean and charming and the staff was super helpful too!

Great location

Location is fantastic for Lefkada town. Pool is nice and most of the staff are friendly.
The hotel probably needs a refurb but can’t really complain given the price and location.

The hotel staff was quite rude. They apparently have a no check in before 3:00 pm, even when rooms are available. The rooms are tired and the bathrooms are grungy. It is very overpriced as well. The location is excellent; right in the harbor area. That is the only thing I can recommend about this hotel.

Beautifully situated in town and we got the sea view balcony we requested. Very clean. Sadly pool not open due to weather and maintenance ( mid May). We got breakfast discount as compensation. No restaurant, no bar. Breakfast buffet fine. Room service excellent, good sized balcony, comfortable bed. Shower had no bracket so had to hold shower head all the time. No plug in bath. Lovely fluffy towels. No smoke alarm in room though there were in the corridors. At reception sometimes the friendly one but sometimes the grumpy monosyllabic one!

Welcoming Staff!

We had a wonderful and cheerful greeting when we checked in. The desk help was very knowledgeable and welcoming. We only stayed for one night… after a week on a sailboat! The hotel was beautiful. I’m only giving a medium rating for comfort because the beds were hard.

Well located with good breakfast

The hotel is well located for Lefkas town with lots of good restaurants and amenities nearby including the marina and town quay if your arriving early or staying an extra few days from a yacht charter. The town has lots going on even at end of season.

The hotel itself is a little bit aged but clean and comfortable with a good breakfast provided. Staff were friendly and I would use again.

Very comfortable Hotel

Very helpful and friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable with excellent sheets. We had a room towards the harbour road which gave us a wonderful view of the harbour and distant mountains. The doors sliding doors to the balcony provided excellent soundproofing so that the road was not an issue, although it is not busy at night. Breakfast was pleasant with cereals, cold meats and a cooked option (bacon, eggs and sausages). Nice pool area. Located near the main tourist area. Bus stop 50m away.

Great location nice hotel but shame about the pool

Great location- nice hotel and Marianna who was on the breakfast service was very nice and friendly and helpful - only downside for us was that the pool was full of bugs on the surface and could have done with a visit from the pool cleaning man which was a shame as we didn’t feel as if we could go in for a dip without coming out coated in bugs !

Pro’s - Fantastic location especially if preparing to sail out of Lefkas or what an extra couple of nights before returning home. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Con’s (if any) - no tea/ coffee facilities in the room (it’s a uk thing!). No support for shower head so hand held shower only.

Avoid at all cost

One of the worst hotels I've ever been at. Beds were small, uncomfortable and made a lot of noise with every movement, air conditioning didn't work, the curtains were thin as paper and let lots of light in, the swimming pool didn't even have water, the breakfast had barely any variety and most things were absolutely uneatable (both days we were there we ended up having breakfast in a cafe), the corridor lights didn't work so at night you had to use your mobile, the room wasn't clean (lots of ancient stains everywhere), the elevator was unsafe (the door would close violently even with someone in the middle, it almost caught my 2-year-old in it), the bathtub was uncomfortable (no plug to use it as a tub, no hook to use it as a shower, you essentially had to wash while holding the shower head in one hand). Last but not least, when I complained about a couple of things to the manager, he was VERY rude to me and begrudgingly offered me another room... which I declined since I was in the top quality room already and didn't really want to experience the more common one. Just AWFUL.

Don´t stay here

Really cold stay, 14 degrees in the room, no possibilties to heat it up. They just give us a small fan which din´t help at all. Hot water for the shower in 3 minutes. After that coooold.
The elevator was very scary, shaking and stopping a little bit everywhere.
No existing WIFI.

Friendly and Lovely Hotel

This is a 3 star hotel with great pool. It's reasonably priced,the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It's a 3 star hotel !!! The poor reviews don't mention the absolutely fantastic staff. Everyone from the cleaners to the manager (she lent me her car,how extraordinary is that?),were fantastic. Throw away your visions of grandeur and enjoy the simple life. We did.

Below 1 Star do not recommend this hotel

This Hotel property is below one star the room was of very poor quality. The photos on the website are photo shopped. We paid for four nights. Had to stay the one night as we got to the island late and wa very tired called Expedia as soon as we saw the state of the room, next morning paid one more day and Expedia to refund the remaining two days. Expedia need to audit properties if they are to put them on their website. Breakfast was okay, staff and manager tried to accommodate with up grade but all rooms are in bad state. So disappointed and let down, fortunately for us we found an amazing Hotel on our own.

Had a wonderful stay!

Rarely has a staff been more helpful! We were welcomed warmly - overcame some confusion when it seemed there was no reservation (turned out it was made with my middle name instead of my last - !) - and laughed it off. Our room faced the harbor. The breakfast had plenty of variety and staff wiling to assist as needed. The staff member's recommendation for dinner was spot on. As checkout was at Noon and our plane did not depart until 9 pm, we were given space to \"hang out,\" invited to continue to use the pool, .....

Okay place to stay

I found the Ionion Star dated and not well kept. The service was also lacking from various staff members (mind you we spoke Greek to them) and they all seemed un-interested, I received far better service from house keeping with the usual good mornings, etc. The room was basic, internet wifi not very good and the only location I managed to receive a decent signal was either from the toilet or door. The hotel is central located in Lefkada town close to restaurants, shops and bars. I would not be staying in this hotel again as they are far better options around.

A good hotel in a great location. The room was clean, but the carpet stained. The east side has beatiful sea view but you cannot use the large balcony due to permanent outside noise. Breakfast and service satisfactory.

Don't book the more expensive \"water view\". Many rooms on the sea side are covered by a large tree.
I would recommend this hotel. Rooms are large, clean and in good condition. A bit noisy at night on the sea side.

This is an average hotel, with average amenities. 3 star. Hotel appeared to have some structural damage to balcany supports when viewed from the pool side of the building. Carpets were worn and slightly stained but clean. The hotel was overall very clean and we enjoyed our stay there. It was a good deal at the Hotel.com rate but I would not have paid the posted rate for this hotel. Pool was small. Parking was somewhat difficult. Desk clerk needs to know how to smile and greet a guest. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would stay again.

basic, overpriced, in good location

well, for the price, compared to the the next hotel, this place was over priced, fair enough it had a clean room and bathroom. The pool, not that we were concerned is more for show then use, and wasn't really maintained. The next hotel a few minutes away was considerable cheaper and seemed like a higher class in so many ways. Fundamentally clean basic and good location in lefkada.

Perfect for what I needed

Fabulous service, Theo's cocktails were amazing.... he truely has mastered the art of cocktails. The pool wonderfully refreshing, even though it wasn't huge... My room was basic, but everything I needed - specifically a bed, air con and some private outside space. I had just got off a boat sailing and this felt like luxury. It was clean, comfortable, private and cool. This is a quality 3 star hotel and whilst I have stayed in 5 stars, I actually prefer this one. (The last 5 star hotel charged me 4 euros for water and the air con didn't work!!!).

If returning to Lefkas, I would return to this hotel. I liked it, everyone was helpful and friendly and there was no pretentiousness.

Breakfast was simple but more than enough... again I preferred this.

One improvement - would love to have had coffee making facilities in my room, but all in all I was a very happy customer.

wanted to stay another month

This was a lovely helped by everyone who ran the Hotel. The staff were very good from our chambermaid to the manager.I even made a point of telling the owner what a lovely time we had staying in his hotel. I must not forget the poolside barman/snack maker who was the maker of lovely cocktails.

Skuffende opphold

Et semi fornøyd opphold her med fruen. Bildene er LANGT finere enn realiteten. Rommene er gamle og slitte, null lydisolering - hører til og med naborommene når de bruker badet. Masse bråk i gangene. Sengene er harde som stein. På fremsiden av hovedinngangen var det stort byggefelt pågående, så var et stort rot og bråk som vi ikke var informert om eller som vistes på bildet. Første rommet vi fikk hadde veranda mot dette, og jeg klagde og måtte be om nytt rom når byggefelt ble våres utsikt samt det bråket med tanke på dårlig lydisolering. Betalte over 9000 kroner for fire netter inkludert frokost for to personer. Alt i alt et skuffende opphold når bilder og informasjon ikke samsvarer med realiteten, til såpass pris.

Dette er et slitent hotell som trolig hadde sin storhetstid på 80 tallet og ikke gjort så mye etterpå. Servicen var så der, virket mett og trett av dage i resepsjonen. Rent på rommet og velfungerende aircondition som pluss.

Schöner Pool und angenehmer Außenbereich, recht neu.
Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal.
Altes, einfaches Hotel, das mit etwas moderner Deko und relativ neuem Außbebereich ausgestattet wurde.
Großes, aber einfaches Frühstücksangebot. Scheußlicher Kaffee.
Niemas 4 Sterne, sondern 2 Sterne plus Pool.
