We stayed in the Superior Water Villa with pool with sunset facing view. Good length pool, however in the room the facilities and interior are a bit dated but everything worked and was clean. Each room had use of their own bikes so you could cycle around the island but you also had a buggy service on request as well.
Our on call personal assistant Fayaz was very helpful whenever we needed any assistance which made our whole stay even more special.
The resort is all inclusive with enough restaurants and a nice selection of foods and wines for a nice international experience. Whilst it isn’t the cheapest being all inclusive the place was not crowded, however you do need to hop on a 45mins seaplane to get here which is another cost on top.
The general service and attitude of all the staff working there were great leaving us with an enjoyable lasting memory.

Location was great and ocean front villas are great.
Food quality was 3/10 and I tried every property on site.
Fact that the resort is so far and I paid hefty price to get there from male (45min sea plane ride), it just felt underwhelming for the amount of money they charge.
Certainly not a 5 star level resort. I would say it’s a good 4 star resort

Heaven on Earth

We already had extremely high expectations both of the Maldives and Faarafushi but OH MY GOODNESS did Faarafushi exceed those expectations! It is truly heaven on earth. The rooms are divine, the sea life is out of this world, the food is delectable, the cocktails and wine selection are to die for, the spa is bliss, but the staff is what makes this place even more special than you can imagine! Such kind and friendly people! Sundar and Ankur are both fantastic cocktail makers and kind and funny people. Sundar made us the most special cocktails and led a wonderful cocktail class and Ankur led a super interesting molecular mixology class, neither of which you should miss! Vishal gave “turn down service” a whole new meaning with his incredible decorations, and also treated us to birthday decorations for my husband’s birthday and honeymoon decorations. True works of art! We don’t know our masseurs name unfortunately but we had the best Balinese couples massage of our lives! Priyanka was our waitress a couple of nights and was just the sweetest and most attentive waitress one could imagine! We also loved Mohammed and Rohit who told us a lot about the Maldives and Rohit helped us plan our trip to Agra (where we were off to next). And finally our INCREDIBLE host Fayaz who was simply amazing! Organised everything to perfection, always checked in on us and made sure we were happy with everything and just made the whole experience perfection. Run don’t walk to this resort! It is HEAVEN!

We had expected the breath taking physical beauty of the island, but were really amazed by the caring and professional staff throughout our stay: from the transfer assistant at arrival in Male, to the villa host who organized our meals and excursions, to the culinary director overseeing the meal preparation at the 6 restaurants, to the bar tenders, servers, and cleaners. Our villa on the beach was spacious and comfortable but not extravagant. The food and alcoholic offerings were at premium level. There was live music and trivia nights. Our package included a dolphin tour (we saw 5 of them about 30 minutes away from the island) and a photo session. The resort has its own app with all the necessary information for your stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the resort.

We had such a memorable honeymoon at this stunning resort, full of extremely kind staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable. My wife lost her wedding ring one evening and the entire resort staff - from our main host, Kunal, to the room maintenance team and the security manager - went out of their way to help us find the ring, and to our utmost surprise and happiness, the staff actually succeeded in finding the ring the next day. We cannot recommend with any more enthusiasm this fabulous resort, for its extremely nice room, restaurants, activities, and most of all the kindest staff I’ve ever met. We extend our sincere appreciation to our main host Kunal, the security manager Anwar, our room maintenance host Imaad, and the restaurant staffs including Nuwan and Vicky. When we visit Maldives again in the future, we would definitely stay at Emerald Faarufushi again and we have already recommend this resort to all of our friends who are considering vacation to Maldives. 100/100 stunning experience, period.

We chose a beach villa over an overwater villa for its seclusion among lush palm trees and private sunbeds. The villa was elegantly furnished, exuding charm, and was impeccably clean.

The resort's restaurants met the high standards expected of a five-star establishment. The food and beverages were good for an all-inclusive resort, but the friendly and attentive service from the staff made dining exceptional. The view from the over-water Eclipse bar was breathtaking, and the mixologists crafted exquisite cocktails. The Balinese spa offered a comprehensive range of treatments that fully met our expectations. The gym equipment was well-maintained, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was often empty, providing a comfortable workout environment. The white sand beach was stunning, teeming with marine life, and free of algae or seaweed, making it entirely odour-free. Despite being fully booked, the resort never felt crowded, and the beach in front of our villa was mostly deserted.

The infrastructure met the expectations of a five-star resort, but it was the staff who elevated the experience. Every staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and their warmth felt genuine. The positive attitude of the personnel reflected a culture of respect and friendliness.

We just returned from the most AMAZING honeymoon at Emerald Faarufushi! I researched resorts for months and I am so glad I chose Emerald.
Service: The service at this resort is truly 5-star! From the moment we left baggage claim at the Male airport, we were greeted and catered to every moment of our trip. I can honestly say, every single employee we interacted with provided the best service I’ve experienced in my life. When we arrived at the resort, we were introduced to our villa host, Nabeel, who graciously catered to our every need and desire throughout the trip. He set us up with WhatsApp messaging so we could contact him night or day for anything we needed. He had our dining reservations planned out before we even arrived and each one worked out perfectly for our stay. On our last day, we requested a late check-out and Nabeel coordinated getting us a beach villa to use for the day since our room needed to be vacated for the next guests. Nabeel was so amazing we felt like he would do anything within his power to ensure we had the best vacation/honeymoon ever.

The food and drink were also top-notch and all included in the price. The quality was incredible and there aren’t up charges everywhere like I saw at other resorts. They really take pride in the quality of their food and beverages and the head chef was always making his rounds to interact with the guests.

Finally, the rooms are amazing. Modern, clean, and luxurious. I would definitely return in the future!

Mind blown! There are 5 star premium all inclusive resorts and then there is Emerald Faarufushi. I have incredibly high standards which were met and exceeded by the amazing diverse team at Faarufushi. I have been to the Maldives before so from experience, I knew it was wise to split my stay between the water villa and a beach villa. You get a dedicated villa host for your entire stay. Mine was the very attentive Mr. Vikas who took care of every need, villas are serviced multiple times a day, very abundantly stocked mini bar refilled daily. I honestly couldn’t consume one day’s worth of refreshments because of the abundant offerings around the various resort restaurants and bars. I spent 2 nights on a sunset water villa and 1 on a sunrise beach villa. Perfect decision on my part and I highly recommend a split stay. Special thanks to Chef Sudarshan at Teppanyaki for an amazing presentation, Moreno at Aqua for the best carbonara I have ever had (he made it in 10mins), Kim and Alim at Carnivorous. Also Shimau, Rohit, Afrah, Mohammed, Ahmed.. Just too many to name. I highly recommend Emerald Faarufushi

I must say the staff make us feel so welcome and enjoyable during our stay. Awesome service provided by the host Faheem. He took initiative a few times and exceeded our expectations to buggy us for dinner. We liked it when he appeared at our door and asked if we are ready for dinner when it’s time for dinner. Amazing! He is very well organised. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Love the surprises they arranged for my husband‘s birthday! Mgmt has definitely done a great job in managing an outstanding team there.

The Villa was clean and spacious. Love the snacks and drinks they replenished daily.

Minor things which can be improved:

Breakfast can have more changes in options from day to day.

Comb is wooden and breaks easily.

Shower cap quality is not good and breaks easily too. I guess it’s not plastic that’s why. But thumbs up on the environmental protection work to avoid using plastics in their toiletries and bottles of water.

Conclusion:
We are missing the paradise already. Definitely will recommend anyone to stay at this resort. Never felt so safe at foreign lands before.

This resort is a true paradise. Everything is immaculate and is built not only to function but to instill an atmosphere of relaxation. The staff are all wonderful. Each one will greet you with a smile and will cater to your every need without delay. Our butler Vikas was amazing and he was always a friendly face to see around the resort. The food quality is impressive, especially for an all-inclusive resort. The villa was well stocked with snacks and supplies and was replenished daily. The cleaning crew made our villa look brand new every day. The view from the over water villa was spectacular. The infinity pool and the ocean were both in full view from the bed, which was an amazing sight to wake up to each morning. My wife and I could not have had a better experience for our honeymoon.

What an amazing resort! As a single traveler, the transfers to and from the resort were seemless. I enjoyed the property and having the bicycle and golf cart access, made getting around easy. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Emerald Faarufushi and had an amazing time. I must say it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped into Malé until the time of our departure, we experienced impeccable service and a warm hospitality that made our stay truly memorable.

The best vacation was spent! It's a valuable and enjoyable resort. There's a friendly one-on-one host taking care of all your needs during the stay, and also with all the friendly and cheerful staff. Everything was inclusive and they will let you know clearly what's not included. (just those included are already too good)

All the restaurants on the island were amazing! Pairing with the view and the weather were magnificent. Snorkeling around the resort gives you a remarkable experience. Although you can see tons of fish and coral during the day, there are more species during the night and you will feel safe to snorkel around the area.

All-inclusive means ALL-inclusive, you get all your meals included with a selection of five restaurants and two bars and you will be guaranteed to be stuffed with delicious food and wine. You get all the snacks and four types of wine (red, white, rosé, and sparkling) provided in the mini bar for free and will be refilled daily or charged on request after the first refill. You get complimentary activities to enjoy with your partner during the stay. Including, daily one-hour water sports; a complimentary cruise experience with your choice of sunset dolphin watching or sunset fishing; All kinds of classes from gnocchi making to wine and food pairing to bartender class, and much more! We had a fantastic week at Emerald Faarufushi. The people were very friendly and helpful. Elite, our host, was super responsive, whenever we had a question or request, he would get back to us immediately. Rao, the resort manager, was friendly and accommodating.

The villa was superb. It is beautifully designed, spacious and very clean. The infinity pool over the ocean is spectacular and the fact that you can snorkel directly from your private stairs was fantastic. The sealife was amazing, lots of colourful fish, some eagle and manta rays and even some baby shark (harmless).

And of course the restaurants were excellent. The food choices were abundant (especially for us as vegetarians, that is always a big concern, but there was plenty of amazing choices in every restaurant for us). Chefs Mo and Moreno curate a great selection of delicious foods, that are presented in a manor that could rival any big city high-end restaurant.

And for us wine lovers, there were sommeliers in each restaurant, we had the pleasure to be treated by Banu, Tate and Kim. They made excellent wine pairing recommendations out of their wine list of 80 choices.

For anybody looking for an amazing experience in the Maldives, we strongly recommend to go visit Emerald Faarufushi.

It’s a paradise

I picked Emerald Faarufushi when I was researching resorts to stay because: they looked newly opened, and it’s an Italian luxury brand (we all know how the Italians are when it comes to beauty and styles😂!). Let’s just say they did not disappoint me! The facility is so beautiful and clean, and I would use understated elegance to describe it. It fits in so beautifully with the natural surroundings and they have thought about every details. What impressed me more is the staff—I always say it’s not just the facility but it really is the people who makes the difference. Everyone I had encountered was so genuinely kind and thoughtful. I really wanted a fishing trip as I was recovering from a wrist surgery and couldn’t do much of the water activities. The weather wasn’t cooperating but Rao and his team kept trying and keep the boat crew standing by so finally on my last evening before my departure, we made it! It was such an experience for me and I could not have done it without the staff.
The location is also excellent for me, it’s a bit further from Malé, which means absolute peace and serenity. There’s no other boats coming and going, no day passers from other island. You really feel you’re in a different world and get to truly relax and decompress. I only booked 5 nights as this was my first visit but I surely will book 2 weeks in my next stay!

We booked this property for our two week honeymoon and it was amazing! If you've never been to the Maldives, go. It is worth it. They took care of the transportation from the main island to their island. We were greated every step of the way to the resort. Even when our flight was delayed and had us arriving a day later, they offered us a night refund or to extend our stay by a day which was very thoughtful. When we arrived, they took our luggage to our villa while giving us a tour. The island is beautiful. The villas are stunning with breathtaking views. But the best part about our trip was the service. I can't speak high enough for the staff. It could be that since we were there for two weeks, they leaneed our names and preferences but I believe they just like to go the extra mile to make sure your trip is wonderful. The chef's, the sommeliers, and everyone working there was so kind. We took a cooking class on how to make gnocchi. We got free snorkeling gear for the duration of our stay and went on an excursion to see dolphins. They have free bikes to help you get around. If you go for your honeymoon, there is a special dinner on the beach for you. If you love star gazing, there is no light pollution so you can see a lot of stars almost every night. We had such a wonderful time getting to know everyone and we already miss it. We definitely plan on going back here!

We liked the Indian ocean view villa with a great interior design and comfortable furniture! The staff was super friendly especially, Ms. Maroua, Mr. Raj, Mr. Ahmedey, Ms. Charline, Mr. Hassan, and the chef of the Eclipse restaurant, Mr. Adel. Fantastic retreat far from the maddening crowd. if you want space, peace and tranquility. choose this hotel.

the entire customer facing team is extremely attentive with a single minded goal to keep you comfortable and relaxed.

The chefs make some fantastic fare with a different menu every night which makes it interesting and non monotous. the bakery chef is unreal as is the award winning dish by chef adil. good wine list for all budgets.

2 nights beach pool and 3 nights overwater pool. the overwater pool hands down is the one to choose.

thanks marge, bir, raj, dr toufeeq, ali (hk), ashok, hisheem, winnie, ling, and the rest of the team that made it a great holiday.

I had a coral pierce my heel which led to limping around or in a buggy for 2 days. Obviously Jean Marc the GM runs a tight ship as the morning after all staff knew of the incident and always asked how I was till i started walking normally.

Only advise is wear sea shoes to avoid injury when in the water.

Buy them before you reach the maldives as I don't think resorts sell them and you don't get them at the airport.

the water sports centre (3rd party service provider) will promise you the moon and deliver only what is on paper. typical behaviour in any island or beach activity globally. just manage your expectations.

We just returned from our first trip to the Maldives – and Emerald Faarufushi was the perfect choice for our honeymoon. Despite a flight delay and an unexpected overnight stay in Malé, the Emerald team stepped in immediately: they replied to our email within minutes and even sent someone to meet us at the airport late at night. We felt truly looked after from the start.

Arriving on the island, we were absolutely blown away. It’s stunning – peaceful, pristine, and beautifully maintained. The gardens are cared for all day by kind staff, and the island smells of flowers. A true tropical dream.

Our villa was spotless, stylish, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping by Wayan was excellent. The beach and crystal-clear ocean were simply breathtaking. We also treated ourselves to a massage at the spa – pure bliss.

What truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff’s warmth and dedication. Our host Aslaan was always available via WhatsApp – kind, thoughtful, and full of surprises: from a dolphin tour to a romantic flower bath. When I injured my foot, he picked us up within minutes and arranged a doctor right away.

This level of care was present everywhere – in the restaurants, bars, spa, and beyond. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming and professional.

This trip was a dream come true, and thanks to Emerald Faarufushi, it became reality. Truly paradise on earth.

O resort é muito bem cuidado, sofisticado e tem tudo de primeira linha! O serviço é extraordinário, tem várias opções gastronômicas (Amei o restaurante Mediterrâneo) e a ilha é paradisíaca. Ter as bicicletas à disposição dos hóspedes faz toda a diferença e traz uma sensação de liberdade. Se mudar alguma coisa nesse resort estraga 😍. Great resort, superb water villas with own pool. Very good food in every restaurants and great wines, cocktails... Overall services were very good ja gentle. No mosquitos met anywhere. Snorkling reef good, some corals alive, lots of fishes and great life under water. Dolphin sunset cruise was also super nice experience. Special thanks to Roman for all arrangements, Roman was our host.
