The room smelled like mold. It was a non-smoking room, and when I got home from my trip, my BiPAP machine after two days later I could still smell the mold from that room. The pool in which I thought was open because they didn’t say it was closed. They said they had a pool is the only reason that I went to that particular one. The television was broken, which I told them about that as soon as I turned it on, you could see it with a bunch of streaks in it. My chair at the desk was broken. The outlets only wanted to work a certain way when I plugged in my BiPAP machine. I am handicapped and the ice machine was on the fifth floor no pop no bottled water and no food for breakfast except for a banana or orange. I think it was an orange. No muffins it was terrible.

The hotel started off fine until the middle of the night people were yelling and running up and down the hallway. We went into the hallway to go outside and you could smell weed all in the hall and in the elevator. When its a no smoking hotel. In the morning there was no breakfast included, which is advertised. The hot tub and pool were nowhere to be found. So if you are looking for a peaceful place to stay I don't recommend this hotel.

Staff was friendly, but check-in - even after prepaying. - was slow.

While the room was clean and comfortable, the lobby, elevator, hallways (all common areas) were not clean, but rather tatty. The elevator smelled like weed, my room smelled like weed.

At about 1:30am, there was a loud and long argument in the room next to mine. That can't be blamed on the hotelier, but perhaps does speak to the quality of patrons.

In the end, it was a fair price for the room in my opinion, but my wife would have likely refused to stay there.

This isnt my first time staying here but i havent been in awhile. For starters the pool is closed due to health inspector closing it down and thats not noted on the website. Also the grab and go breakfast was also no existent. I asked for towels and wash cloths and 24 hours later i still didnt have them. House keeping is non existent, we just had to keep piling our trash up. I appreciate how kind each staff member was because i got stuck here due to a snow storm but i wish the website was more honest that way my kids wouldve been snowed in somewhere with an actual pool. Also, no one plowed the parking lot.

The hotel is very run down and needs some TLC. We had booked for 3 nights to stay at this hotel to attend an event being held there. As we checked in we were told that we would not have hot water starting the afternoon of the second day of our reservation. By 5:00 a.m. the second day there was not any hot water. The place was so run down we did not eat the complimentary breakfast. The hotel did allow us to check out with a full refund for us to book at another hotel.
When we attended our event the bar was not equipped to provide drinks and the bar tender was unable to make even the most standard drinks. I was thankful that our event was catered by someone other than the hotel.
The women’s bathroom was dirty and the overhead light for the bathroom was sitting on a couch in front of the bathroom stalls.
They allow families with pets to stay there for long periods of time and found out that most of the people staying there had been there for months.
We will not be returning to stay at this hotel.

After they were able to program two Card keys, which took them to attempts. We made it to our room to find it had not been properly cleaned.
The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, covered in some kind of sticky goo and cockroach poop. There was trash in the drawers and coffee all in the coffee maker , AC had an inch gap all the way around it, allowing bugs, and dirt in the room. The room also had a very musty/damp, fell which later I discovered was because the fill valve in the commode was messed up, which would occasionally cause the toilet to overflow. I repaired this valve myself as it is a simple 30 second adjustment clearly showing after multiple issues noted in the room that the Maintenance staff if that is what you would call them didn’t know anything about what they were doing. Soap dispensers were left Empty in the shower. Yet they were full of mold and mildew the shower curtain was installed in properly and falling out of the wall The ice machine did not work the vending machine did not work the swimming pool/sauna/gym has been closed for over two years by the health department, so why that is still listed as something the Hotel offers. I would like to know. It was also a routine issue for keys to stop working. As I found out later from the biker club. That was also staying. There was because the hotel was deleting your keys, and giving them to other guest by mistake as multiple members of the biker gang walked in on other patriots of the Hotelby accident

This place is an absolute nightmare. The place is supposed to be nonsmoking, yet the first room we were placed in smelled like it’d been smoked in for years. We then got another room and there were holes in the walls, stains on the sheets and comforters, and cigarette burns in the mattress. We were so disappointed, we left the next morning when we had booked it for 2 nights. Word of advice, DO NOT book here.

We chose this hotel because they had a pool there. When I made the reservation nothing was said about the pool being shut down, when we checked in they said nothing about the pool being shut down. We went to our room only one elevator was working. Got our 2 yr old changed into bathing suit went to pool only to see it was out of service. The power went out, I had to work on the toilet to get it working. It was not a clean hotel. They didn’t offer any refunds or any other places with pools. Just a very disappointing weekend experience.

I was charged for a room that I didn't even stay in and now they're refusing to give me a refund. The pool was shut down by the health dept. The place is falling apart. My room was DISGUSTING. My shampoo, condition and body wash were OPEN AND USED. Splatters of God knows what on the headboard. Couldn't hang any of the clothes on the rack because it was broken and shoved into a hole in the wall. Mold of some sort on the baseboard. The bathroom ceiling is practically falling in. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Despite giving a low rating for this hotel, I have to talk about some of the good things.
Oliver, at the front desk, was great. The beds and pillows were very comfy and made for a goodnights sleep. The room wasn’t dirty.
The reason I rated this low is because there was no mention online of it being in the process of renovation. There was supposed to be breakfast, but when we got there a little after eight, there was no juice in the machine – in fact it didn’t even look like it was working, fruit was very minimal, in the refrigerator that would normally have milk, butter, yogurt type items nothing but freezer packs. I think they might’ve had waffles, but I couldn’t tell. The pool was closed and the fitness room was closed. You could tell they were renovating, but it would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time. Possibly that is why the price was good.
We could not get our TV to work and Oliver came to try to get it. He did offer us to change rooms but after getting everything in and settled, we decided not to do that.
I think once this hotel is done, it will be better. I don’t think I would stay there again until it was.

Their site says bar/restaurant..there wasnt one in operation. Trash sat by trash cans for days no one cleaned. Breakfast was so gross, stale bagels, old milk, old cereal, cold coffee, no juice. Microwave looks like a murder scene. Outside had trash everywhere. This used to be the Holiday Inn and was so nice. Now just horrible. There was a string smell of spices like cooking curry. The soaps, shampoos, etc had been used by previous guests were half full. Will not stay again. Clarion you can do better.

From check in I had to wait for someone to come to the desk. They have obviously changed hands and you can tell. The breaker or lack of was terrible there was nothing but coffee, and bread. The room was ok except for a huge cob web in the corner of the room and roaches in the bathroom. I will not be back I will be taking my business elsewhere.

At first the management was nice, and then a few of my family members came to check in and help me and my sister upstairs and they question us about them and then the room was freezing and we cut the heat on, left came back and the room was still freezing tried to cut heat back on and the unit would not work this time, we checked right back out and went somewhere else.

I booked a room from Oct 29th to Nov 3rd because of my grandfather's death. I only stayed 3 nights & was in a different room each night until I checked out Nov. 1st. The 1st room(420) the water wasn't draining out of the tub. I was told it would be looked at that morning while i was away to come back that night to find water still in the tub... So i was moved to room 414 where the TV wasn't working properly & the bathroom light was going out. After going to the front desk to complain about 414 i was told to unplug the TV in 414 & that maintenance fixed 420 & i could check if i liked. Water was still in 420 a day later & unplugging the tv as requested didn't resolve the issue in 414. So after all of this i ended up in 416 my last night. I checked out the next day around 9am, manager wasn't present so i was told to leave my information... 5 days later i still haven't received a receipt as requested & my account is showing 5 nights charged even though i only stayed 3 nights & all the issues. I called the hotel today Nov 6th to be met with aggression after asking to speak with the manager just to be told the manager wasn't there & call back tomorrow after explaining why i requested the manager in the first place. I've stayed at this hotel numerous of times & never had issues i don't know if its different ownership/management but it is not the same feeling as past experiences.

When I arrived the owner/ desk clerk took forever checking me in. My card was already on file. He then ask for driver license / ID. He then asked for the credit card. He had already taken my money out of my bank account but he wa just wasting our time. We were tired and he could not get the card to work. I booked a double bed. He said he was upgrading us to king.(oh my, the worst)
When we arrived in room 313 the towel rack was on the floor. Towels dirty.
Went down to the desk he gave me room 215. We had to move our things. The door did not open. We went down to the desk again. They did not apologize and then moved us to 213. There was a view of the roof, the mattress was hard, and the refrigerator not worst.
My uncle stayed at the same hotel. He said it was the worst ever and I agree!
Never again.
There was no sense of urgency at all!

The first room they put us in had a big water bubble under the paint where the roof was leaking. The bathroom lights didn't work. The next room the microwave was dirty with food in it. The shower curtain was had mold on it the base of the toilet was dirty. Overall bad stay we won't even use them again.

The property was not as stated on the website. The pool was closed by the Health Department and the exercise room as well, I feel they should have contacted us in advance so other arrangements could have been made. The breakfast consisted of Fruit and cookies and only from 6:00 am through 9:00 am. The room and Hall had an odor of dirty Rugs. The shower was Hot and Cold at times needless to say we were very disappointed I would never stay there again by choice.

The manager Heather was Great and very accepting of my dog and allowed all his kisses he decided to give her! 😂 I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to find a place to stay because of his size (he’s a Great Pyrenees Lab mix so at a year old he is 90lbs) but the staff was Great! Everything was wonderful during our stay!

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The bathroom floor was dirty, so we had to pour water on it and clean it ourselves with a towel. Outside the bathroom, the carpet was sticky, which was unpleasant.

The breakfast area was also problematic. There were gnats around the food, and the cereal was stale. Overall, I didn't trust any of the food provided. I hope the hotel addresses these cleanliness issues soon.

It will be a while before I stay at a hotel

We check in around 3:30 get upstairs and the room is dirty, they relocate us thankfully no issue. Second room the carpet is wet at first I thought my feet were just sweaty from walking all day but after my child had walked on it his feet were BLACK. We asked for towels and bedsheets pillows for the pull out couch and was told housekeeping is gone for the day we had to wait until the morning(the sheets were clearly still dirty). Housekeeping knocked on our door everyday at 9:20am. I think we got new bedsheets on day 2 and that was it only got our trash changed for the rest of days. One night we came back and they hadn’t even came at all we had no bed sheets we had to go out and buy our own. My grandma had stayed one day and who ever came in said they don’t like to be in there while people are in the room so she just took trash and that was it. I’m convinced the carpet had black mold my kids were sick by day 2, the air quality in the room was awful we cracked our door while getting ready in the mornings to get some air flow, it was humid and muggy. (There was no exhaust fan in bathroom) We had another family member staying on a different floor and they said their carpet was the same way. The lobby was deceiving because it looks nice and clean but there was no hot breakfast available and huge gnats flying on the apples available to guests. “Breakfast” was only available until 9am. Was overcharged by a large amount by Hotels.com versus booking via the hotel website

The only thing good was the staff. It started with our door barely opening. Then there was no chair in the room like all the pic. There was electrical tape holding up the base around the bottom of the wall. Water damage on the ceiling. The shower took over 20 minutes to drain. Patch spots all around the room. And I got a rash for something they used to wash their towels. There was a spider under our sheets. The pool and sauna were closed by the health department.The restaurant and bar doesn't know when to cut people off we were harassed by drunks they kept asking us to \"get Fu*ked up\" like they were.

Just a tired, shabby hotel. TV is limited to about 8 channels and youtube, but the screen often pixelated into smudged views, so I gave that up. Bed was an lumpy, miserable experience. For your health, skip the free breakfast, which was a few defrosted pastries, yoghurt, and microwave oatmeal. There was a few glass containers, almost entirely empty, that were supposed to have stuff to add to your oatmeal (my best guess), such as raisins. Had fruit flies flying and crawling inside the containers. Gross. Coffee was one small container with warm creamers that curled as soon as they hit your coffee.

The continental breakfast has no protein (eggs -bacon), only carbs (muffins, waffles, cold cereal). The bathroom was not clean - hair in the tub and debris in the sink. The microwave did not work - electrical outlet had no power. Then we got stuck in the elevator, between floors, with NO apologies. Finally, had to check out and go to another motel for the rest of our stay. Very disappointing motel.

First night in room 101. Found that it had a door leading to a back courtyard. While the door was locked, the deadbolt was broken. Also, the room next door was some kind of maintenance area with loud intermittent mechanical noises all night. Should have moved rooms. We slept in our clothes.
Moved to another room for 2nd night on another floor. Much better.

There were signs they were remodeling. Room was great and comfortable. Bathroom ceiling needed work. Remote didn’t work and was dirty. There was also a gentleman hanging out in the lobby every time I came and left. He seemed special needs and I felt very uncomfortable especially traveling solo. When checking in the lady pointed to my room number instead of saying it. She didn’t have any envelopes to write down my room number so I had to remember it. There were long black hairs and what looked liked pubic hair on the sheets, requested new set of bedding received the sheets but not new comforter. Staff didn’t even bother to ask how the stay was or what the problem was with the sheets. I will never use a comfort brand again.

I wouldn’t book here a second time one night was

We intentionally selected a room with a pull out couch for the kids and upon arrival realized there were no linens for the pull out in the room. When we went to the front desk we were given 2 fitted sheets (that did not fit) and 1 small blanket. They were out of pillows so we used folded towels. Breakfast had no protein options outside of yogurt cups. We should have selected a hotel from a larger brand. Bed and available pillows were very soft and the hotel seemed, well used.

Staff was great...rooms not so much

The staff was great but the hotel left a bit to be desired. Upon arrival we found that the indoor pool was closed. This was one main things my grandsons were looking forward to.

Then when we arrived in our room, we found the heating unit was not working, and no maintenance staff was on the premise. As a result, we had to switch rooms.

The heat in the 2nd room was fine, but we immediately began having problems with our new room keys. They were first reprogrammed but the problem continued. So a new set of keys were programmed and issued. But the issue was not received. We determined that the problem was with the key reader on the door, because it would ultimately work after numerous tries. Since we were only staying 2 nights and had already changed rooms before, we decided to stick it out.

I like it because it was by restaurant in walking distance. I didn’t like that my door was left unlocked afterwards clean before I checked in. Also the floors wasn’t vacuum, and old used tea bag was left on top of the headboard

This is an older hotel that is being remodeled. The outside looks great and so does the lobby area. The first room I was given was a non-smoking room but as soon as I opened the door it smelled like cigar smoke. The second room I was given was clean but there was a used washcloth hanging over the shower curtain rail and AC/Heat did not work properly.

The sheets felt as though there was a layer film on them, as if they haven’t been changed after several stays. There were other peoples hair everywhere on the towels, sheets, and comforter. I dried my face on a towel and stringy hair was stuck to my beard. I slept fully clothed covering as much skin as possible to not make contact with the sheets. I would’ve canceled if I didn’t go through a secondary booking site.

As a native of the town and familiarity of this facility when it was a holiday inn it is shock how run down the property has become.

Excellent hotel--D-rating for hotels.com

The hotel was excellent. The front desk clerk at check in was also excellent. The only bad part was the error made by hotels.com and we will NOT be getting a refund from them so we are out ALL of that money. I will never use hotels.com again nor do I recommend that anyone else use it. We are not rich people so to get charges by them that they will not reverse does put a hole in our pocket. But the hotel itself and the evening clerk were excellent. The clerk did all that she could to help us-even talked with hotels.com personnel to explain their error!

Room was not clean at all. Trash on the floor, trash still in wastebaskets and urine on the toilet.
