Wonderful hotel with amazing location near the center of town. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was a tiny bit confusing to find at first (accessed down an alley on the side of the building), but staff were very helpful with directions and it was secure and convenient right below the hotel. We absolutely loved our stay, wish we had stayed longer, and can’t wait to stay again!

Fantastic hotel in a very quiet area, but only 5 minutes walk to the centre of the city. Salamanca is beautiful and this was a great place to stay to explore.
The staff were friendly and really helpful. Parking was easy and great to be able to leave the car there while we explored on foot.
The view of the cathedral from our room was absolutely stunning. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our Spain road trip.
The hotel was clean and modern with parking just behind a reception door.
All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was clean and modern with everything we needed.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.
It was easy to walk to the centre for tourist attractions, bars, restaurants and shopping.
Overall a nice place to stay

This hotel is right on the edge of the old town and about a 15minute walk from the bus station. The staff were very attentive and all spoke English. The room was very nice and had a great view over some of the old buildings.
There is a bar/ restaurant with a small menu but certainly had enough choices for me. The bar staff were again very attentive and very friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I am wver in Salamanca again.

Nice hotel in Salamanca, though feels a bit dated and nothing special. But it was clean, comfortable, and had a wide array of toiletries in case you forgot something. A short (less than 10 min) walk to the main square and central attractions. On-site parking for $18 Euro was helpful.

ABBA hotel was a great find,just a 5 minute walk on the West side of Plaza Mayor in a rather quiet area .
The Staff at reception very engaging and friendly.
Room had so much space and the bed was comfortable nice laundry too.large bathroom with plenty of hotel goodies plus the streets were so quiet at night ,unlike being in the centre of town .
Did not try any food in the hotel as so many restaurants.locally.
Will definitely stay here again .

The Hotel was centrally located and in a quiet square but with excellent views of nearby magnificent buildings. The room was an excellent size with a balcony and the whole hotel was kept spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast was also good, although the bacon and eggs could have been a little warmer on most mornings.

We had tried a number of hotels during many stopover in Salamanca and I must admit this was the most underwhelming.

The hotel location was probably the highlight of our stay. It was mostly an aging hotel that is showing its years in terms of decor and furnishings.

We were assigned an odd room suitable for handicapped. Receptionist did not speak much English and refused to change room. The showerhead holder was broken but the managed to fixed it immediately.

Both parking garage and breakfast were quite adequate.

We travel to Salamanca often and we always try to secure reservations in this hotel. It is in the middle of the historic area within short walking distance of the cathedral and university. It may be a bit more expensive depending on the tourist season, but plan well ahead and you won’t regret staying here.

Marked overall stay down as we were initially in a room overlooking a roof/courtyard with central heating ducts + main duct ran up the wall near our window. Made it noisy at night if you had the window open and audible even with the window closed. We were moved after talking to reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms are spacious and nice to have a gym/sauna. Location is ideal for city sightseeing and only a short walk to the main square or down to the river. Highly recommended but suggest you request a room overlooking the front of the hotel.

Location okay. Nice hotel but pretentious. Staff neutral - not friendly, not rude. The worst part was the restaurant. We got there about 10:00 pm and just wanted a simple meal after traveling all day. The restaurant was pretentious fancy but the food was awful. Wilty lettce in the salad, sharp dressing made me cough. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. No air conditioning, which I found really weird for a hotel like this. The window opened, but no screens and Salamanca seems to have lots of bugs. The good thing is there are also lots of swallows and bats. I was a little worried about bats flying in the window, but they didn't. It would have been nice to have larger window with screen. And with no air conditioning, the breakfast room/restaurant was very hot and stuffy.

nice hotel close to University Conference facility

Stayed 5 nights with my partner while attending a conference nearby. Unbeatable location for that purpose. Although the reception was a bit gruff, perhaps due to language issues, overall experience was great. Our room had a little balcony where one could sit and enjoy the view and perhaps a cup of tea or a glass of wine. However, the hotel did not provide a hot water kettle or a tea/coffee maker to actually allow doing this. The bar/restaurant was very good, but room service was poor. First because there were no clear description of what was available - like various breakfast items and second there was a language barrier with lots of \"no entiendos\" (don't understand). Third, the actual food served was less than ideal compared to other 4 star hotels I have stayed. Finally, the instructions for operating the room safe are incorrect, leaving you in a bind if you have to call the reception for someone to come and open the safe for you. So in summary, the location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, but the amenities in the room and food service leaves much to be desired.

Very nice and stylish hotel in old town surroundings. Approach by road was not too obvious but soon sorted. There is a basement car park but oddly there is a significant charge for its use. Easy walking distance from the old town, Universidad and cathedrals. This was festival week so lots of street entertainment and food to sample, all of which was traditional and delicious.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. The food in the hotel's restaurant was fairly good and the staff was professional and accommodating;they were able to communicate in English, Spanish and French. A good location within walking distance of the cathedral. The rooms were as promised and quite comfortable.

Great Hotel Service!

Everyone in the hotel was polite and nice. Very attentive. Room was large and comfortable for sharing. Large bathroom as well. Really enjoyed my stay. It was walking distance to everything in Salamanca. And if you get too tired to walk, a cab ride is always 10€ or less. Highly recommend it.

Difficult to find, could do with map directions. Once there, no convenient local parking to allow for initial reception negotiations. English speaking staff friendly and helpful. Rooms good size, modern and comfortable. Decent bathroom, spoilt by showerhead vertical adjustment friction being useless----something which should not have been missed by maintenance staff. Overall terrific value for less than £50 through Expedia.

Overrated hotel!

Satisfactory. They claim to be a 4-star hotel but they deserve one star less than that! Why? Service was slow, the staff was not warm and welcoming at all, and they did not know how to think 2 steps ahead to meet their guests' needs! We had to call the front desk before using the spa (from our room because the phone in the gym/spa area was dead), then we had to call again because they had no towels in the room, they charged extra for every little thing (wifi, early check in, late check out--things that were accommodated for free at the hotel we stayed in the night before that was just one street over!) parking in the area is hard but don't ask the staff for help because they will take your money and give you a blank stare, like, \"we don't guarantee anything at this hotel, we just take the next sucker's money and insist that there is nothing we can do. Sorry!\" So if you don't mind getting hosed, stay here.

Everything from this Hotel was good except two things. Number one, the air in the room was turned off by 9:30 in the morning. Was not turned back on until 5 :30 at night. If it was cold out the only thing that would work in the room was the air that came out hot. The room was very stuffy .Could not just turn on the fan on the control in the room. It was hot air or nothing. The hotel told us that this is how it works. We are now still in Spain in another hotel and the controls in our new room in another city works with hot air, cool air or just fan, no matter how hot or cold it is outside or inside. One of the reasons I pick hotels is to have as they say airconditioning or climate control. The staff at this hotel was wonderful . The only ones that we had a problem with was the women behind the front desk. She could care less. Not friendly at all. The location to the old city was a 5 min walk. That was very convenient. All the male staff at the front desk and the restaurant for breakfast were charming and very helpful.

We had a birthday to celebrate, and asked for a room with a view - and we got one, so breath-taking that we spent one evening in the room just looking out! There was no extra price for this, either. The room was large and comfy. A nice side is also the Jacuzzi/sauna after a long walks in town. For us, it was excellent value for money. However, the hotel is obviously now following the route of certain Irish flight companies and starts charging extra for small services such as early check-in, WiFi , parking... Is that really necessary? It looks so cheap. But we needed none f this anyway, the view was free and the old town only a 5 minute walk away, so our stay was a full success, and we would come here again.

Great hotel - if they'd just switch the heating on

A comfortable, elegant hotel, close to the historic parts of Salamanca but just far enough away from the noise and crowds of the city centre. Everything was fine, but in mid-October it got very cold at night and whilst the hotel heated the public areas, our room and the bathroom were freezing. Complaints [had to be in Spanish!] produced an extra blanket and eventually a two-bar electric fire. This is a four star hotel and their response was inadequate. Otherwise it was a lovely big room with a large bathroom and views over the rooftops to the cathedral.

We arrived late in the evening and staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging secure parking for us. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet location with beautiful surroundings. However, it is only a few minutes walk from Plaza Mayor and the main sights. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The room was large, we had our two young children each with their own bed. The bar looked nice but we didn't try breakfast. would definitely stay there again. it was great value!
