Great 2 night stop-over to explore the local area.

Room was quiet and comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel is in a good location for travelling the local areas and also close to the beach area.

Breakfast great, service generally good.

Booked a room with 2 beds online and was told we had one bed. Had to have an uncomfortable discussion with front desk about this.
Got to room and and pictures are not the same as online. Beds are very hard and rooms are spartan.
Walking distance to beach, restaurant etc. Ok stay but not for 'resort' prices.

This hotel is conveniently located next to a lovely beach. However, the hotel itself is dated. The hall carpet was stained and central areas are not air conditioned, so the hallways and lobby are very hot. Our shower was broken and we found a large cockroach in the bathroom. The hotel staff were quick to respond to our concerns about the cockroach and sent housekeeping right away. Overall the service was good but not great. The room and facilities were likewise good but not great. The breakfast buffet had lots of options but the quality was not very good. This hotel seemed to be popular with families with children and would be a good fit for that. It was not particularly nice for a couples trip.

Nice place but out-dated,not great value for money

We arranged a couples weekend away. We wanted to relax and get some spa treatments. The place is spacious, has nice grounds, plenty of warm water all day and night long. The facilities seem outdated. The rooms were not as well maintained, the air-condition was noisy and there were dusty corners and surfaces. The breakfast had good variety but some foods were not freshly made. During our second day we could easily identify that the buffet served foods from previous day, like pies and cooked foods. Also, we had spa treatments both days, which were not value for money.

Don’t stay here!

Terrible from start to finish, recognising it is end of season it was a disaster. 2 star at best.

Beds were infested with bedbugs, no AC working, showers were terrible and the resort is run down. Bars closed by 10pm and they leave you sitting in the dark without any notification. Food is horrendous and my dog gets better quality.

Access to the beach and the loungers and umbrellas with drink service made it feel truly like a resort. The room itself did not feel resort-like, it was small and not the best mattress. The staff were all super friendly and helpful though. While the free breakfast had a lot of variety, I wish there was more fresh fruit, vegetables, and juices to choose from. It was a much more family oriented resort than I expected. The pool areas and main dining room were loud and sometimes chaotic with kids. When I read about the resort and saw the pictures I was expecting more of a quiet spa-like setting. That being said, I've never stayed anywhere else in Greece before, so I don't know how it compares locally. Overall, i would still go back. I was looking for easy beach access and free breakfast in a safe place and that is what we got. One more thing to consider is that it can get a bit pricey/tricky to get from the Athens airport to the resort.

Seaside hotel of high standards

Everything in this hotel appears brand new and well organized. Hotel lounge space is simply amazing and the whole establishment is like a village with well manicured green spaces between buildings. Overall a very positive feeling as you walk around this hotel village. If I could complain for something is that the double rooms are not too spacious, but they do come with a small balcony. You also need to leave the hotel to walk to the beach, which is of course just 2 mins away. Swimming pools are extremely spacious and lend themselves to quality swimming owing to their size and depth. Jacuzzi works very well too. Breakfast quality and variety was quite satisfactory and you could also eat it al fresco by the beautiful green garden under sun umbrellas. Dinner quality was very good too, mostly tasteful Greek dishes in sufficient variety, although not to an extreme. Nice touch the free bikes to cycle around the hotel and around this quiet seaside village. The spa facilities we did not get the chance to try, but certainly seemed inviting. A very welcome surprise: Saturday nights they offer live music by the large hotel pool complex by two amazing performers who keep interest alive for three wonderful hours. All in all a memorable stay in this brand new hotel by the seaside.

Wouldn't recommend....

Certainly not a 5 star hotel - Alkyon falls short of this standard at every step. The rooms are basic and in need of refurbishment, bathrooms even more so, the food is average, although the public areas are reasonable. Everything was just ok, nothing better, and the staff were vaguely uninterested without being overtly rude. I wouldn't return; it is overpriced for what you receive. It seems that a lack of local competition, and a steady stream of summer holiday makers from Greece, mean this hotel has no need or inclination to achieve a certain standard.

Hotel staff: the best I 'ven seen in years. Genuinely happy to help and serve the customer, very friendly without the expected \"robotic\" pretence.
Food: 5 stars for quality, variety, and quantity. You have been warned ;-)
Activities: Ideal for families with children, organized activities and games in the morning and evening in the pool and the hotel grounds, safe environment.
Beach: the only drawback but this is not the hotel's fault obviously. If you are looking for a sandy beach, this is not the place to go. The beach is pebbly without any sand, and the sea is average (considering the excellent Greek beaches in other locations). Also, there are no watersports available, if you are in to that sort of activity.

Not a 5 star hotel!

This is not a 5 star hotel, the bathroom was disgusting with water leaking from the toilet bowl. The room was not cleaned properly and decor was old and dated. The grounds and pools however were lovely.

This hotel is definitely overrated!

This hotel is definitely not a 5 star! The first impression you get is not a good one. The driveway to this hotel was dirty, with rundown buildings on both sides and the grounds are definitely not kept up. The mext thing we noticed was during checkin. The staff seemed like students and couldn't check me in right away because they had just received a busload of other tourists. Next, when I finally did get checked in, a teenager with a t-shirt and jeans helped bring us to our room. Noone explained us anything about this resort.

We didn't have dinner included with our rate, but took a look at the dinner buffet and it was very limited and really horrible looking. The breakfast buffet was decent, but the buffet area staff, including the chef preparing the omelets were horrible and provided a really bad service, not even once did they smile! This is a 5-star hotel!

I forgot to mention that we were charged $175 EUROS for the night!

I don't mind the price, but charging a 5 star rate and giving at the most a 3 1/2 star service is definitely not worth it!

We noticed they have some set clientele with packages so they don't seem to try very hard. Where is the management or do they not care?

Why did they build this hotel here?

We were looking for a hotel to stay overnight in on our way to Parga. It seemed nice, right outside of Corinth and photos looked good. However, when we got there the neighborhood was sketchy. There were vacant lots with garbage strun around and the the gated hotel which was totally out of place. If it had been in a nicer area that might have worked but it was obviously built in the hopes that tourism there would take off and it has not. The lobby was full of the hope of large crowds of tourists hanging out but was pretty much a 'ghost lobby'. The rooms beds were box springy (we expected more given that we paid more for this hotel then any other) and not comfortable. I felt like it was just a matter of time until it went bankrupt.

Comfortable, somewhat fancy hotel.

We were on the road and stayed only one night. Had not expected this to be genuine \"resort\" hotel, large, very posh reception area, big dining area. Room comfortable, very nice bathroom for soothing bubble bath, good Internet connection. Apparently has several swimming pools (which we did not visit). A little on the costly side for Greece at 160 euros the night we stayed. Maybe all in all more than we needed but as far as I know Corinth is not bursting with choices and this was a good one.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ καθαρό και άνετο. Οι υπηρεσίες στο spa πολύ καλές. Ευγενικό προσωπικό σε όλους τους χώρους.
Η μόνη παρατήρηση η φασαρία στην εσωτερική πισίνα η οποία επικοινωνεί με τον χώρο του spa. Παιδάκια που έκαναν βουτιές και φασαρία στις 3:15μμ

The hotel is wonderful. It’s truly a resort. There are 3 swimming pools,one indoor and two outdoors with a pool bar. The breakfast and the diner are on a buffet. The rooms are big,clean and quiet. There is a big parking. The beach in front of the hotel is for guests only. The sea is great. There is also a spa located in the resort. The prices are a bit high but the service is excellent. We will go again for a massage for sure.

NOTE POSITIVE: La struttura è ampia, inserita in un bel contesto, ha comodi parcheggi. Le camere si trovano in un giardino con tante piante diverse. Bellissime piscine e lettini a disposizione. La spiaggia si trova dall'altra parte della strada, con lettini gratuiti. Grandi le sale ristorante, con possibilità di mangiare anche all'esterno. Buona la varietà e qualità della colazione. Personale della reception molto cortese (non altrettanto invece il personale della sala colazione, ragazzi giovani non sorridenti).
ACCESSIBILITÀ: la struttura è interamente accessibile con carrozzina negli spazi esterni, giardino, zona piscine, hall, ristorante, ci sono camere disabili con maniglioni wc e doccia-filo. Ci sono parcheggi riservati vicino alla reception.
La piscina invece ha dei gradini di accesso purtroppo non affiancati da un maniglione di sicurezza.
La spiaggia, di sassi grossi, è abbastanza accessibile. Si riesce, grazie a una passerella e con qualche accorgimento, ad arrivare ai lettini. Non si raggiunge invece il mare.

Nice resort hotel.

Really nice resort hotel. We stayed for only one night and in winter so did not use most of the facilities but they looked great and this should be a wonderfull place to stay in the summer. The beach is also just across the street and looked lovely.
Nice breakfast and buffet dinner.

Train your staff, respect your guests

The staff is not well trained. We sent an email prior to our arrival which was never replied. The front desk staff was polite but not professional & not efficient. We asked to be moved in a cleaner room and we were given another room as an upgrade but it was also dirty (hair, shampoo (?) remains in the bathroom especially, dirt on the walls), with outdated bathrooms, & outdated furnishing. I get that the building and facilities are old, but I don't get why it was not properly cleaned. The manager who showed us the new room gave me the feeling that he just wanted to get rid off us and had no interest to know what bothered us. No accountability. The spa service was ok but understaffed and also not well trained in terms of communication with the guests. For example we asked for two sessions of 1-hour massage treatments (back to back since there was no second therapist on Monday shift) and the reply was that they can do two sessions of 30 minutes back to back because the therapist will get tired! It was impressive enought that the therapy was interrupted a couple of times cause there was noone at the spa reception & the therapist on duty had to leave the room twice to check who is shouting at the front desk! Still the massage itself was very good. In the morning buffet, the lady on duty informed us that they could provide fresh hot omelet after having filled our plates with the cold omelet and other untasty food. I don't like wasting food so I refused. A hair was also in my meal.

Γενικά ένα καλό ξενοδοχείο

Όμορφο φυσικό περιβάλλον με πολύ καλή και μεγάλη πισίνα, δωμάτιο καλό αλλα η τουαλέτα ήταν βρώμικη και δυστυχώς αυτό μου χάλασε όλη την εικόνα. Το μπαρ και το εστιατόριο πολύ καλά και το σπα πλήρες και λειτουργικό.
