The plus’s. Location was excellent. Breakfast was very good.
The bad. Was given a single room when I had clearly booked and paid for a double room. Because if my late arrival there was no one available to challenge this. So mentioned it after breakfast next morning. Was told I had a ‘promotional’ rate so only got a single. After a strong counter challenge I was offered a double which I did decline as I said I didn’t want to mess up two rooms and make more work for the maids. That is me being nice. The point being the under handed way a single was allocated in the first place. I assume as it was a single you only got one pillow. No spare. Duvet very thin. Carpet worn. Little run down but to be fair ok for what I paid. Certainly would not pay the standard rate for a night !!

Staff let me leave my luggage at 11 in morning, and gave me the room key to use after the room had been cleaned (note - reception is closed between 11a.m. and 2)
Considering the central location the hotel is very quiet
The breakfast was excellent for this type of hotel. It hadvarious plant based milks and yogurts
The staff generally were very cheerful - not the norm in German customer facing roles
The whole stay was a pleasant surprise

Excellent customer service at reception - especially on arrival when we were late for the check- in slot (Reception closes at 10pm message call ahead to arrange late check-in if you're going to arrive later) - the friendly, welcoming receptionist stayed on duty 20 mins beyond her shift until we arrived.

Comfort Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable - being a Brit I would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in the room but this isn't the norm in Germany and it wasn't a big issue/problem.

Breakfast buffet at £4 per person was excellent value and good quality with plenty of variety. Again staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and welcoming. No other meals are served but plebty of cafés, bars, restaurants within 2 mins. There is a bar with limited drinks in reception.

Location is great for shops, bars, public transport and railway station (10 min walk - taxi takes a seemingly lobg route but this is because of a very quirky road system), and Wuppertal's famous Schwebebahn, the C19th suspended tramway that runs suspended the above the River Wupper from one end if the town to the other...amazing. Ķöln and Dusseldorf are easily accessible by frequent trains.

Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location and a very short walking distance from Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof with friendly staff. Every time I have stayed here, I have found the rooms comfortable and incredibly clean. There is a really well-catered breakfast buffet with lots of variety.

The location is amazing! Unfortunatly the parking was listed as 9Euro, and it was 20Euro per night. Even the hotel front desk was not aware of the change. They were extremely helpful, even for a group arriving after 10pm. They are overly conscious about teaching guests how to use the key card, although most hotels are using this method these days.

Super convenient hotel in Wuppertal center

It was a very good option for a stay in Wuppertal, perfectly located (minutes or less away from main station, shoping area, restaurants). The hotel was in good conditions, nice service, breakfast buffet with multiple choices. Room is quite, fairly dark and proper bedding (it's only the blanket that is way too small, but it's the same in most German hotels).

Hard to find

The hotel is situated next to shopping streets, and was pretty hard to find with a car. Good basic hotel, with a nice breakfast room. My room had some strange smell from air freshener (probably) but otherwise the stay was OK.

positiv: Die Unterkunft ist zentral und schön ruhig in einer Fußgängerzone:. Besonders hervozuheben ist das super Frühstück

negativ: zum Parken muss man ein Parkhaus nutzen, das einige Minuten entfernt ist - ist aber nicht sooh schlimm

Zimmer dreckig, selbst nach zweimaliger Beschwerde und erneuter Reinigung immer noch schmutzig. Die drei Sterne, die dieses Hotel hat, sind definitiv nicht gerechtfertigt.

Ideaal voor museumbezoek en winkelen

Goed gelegen hotel bij winkels, restaurants en halte zweefbaan. Moderne nette kamer zonder geluidshinder. Uitgebreid ontbijt. Openlucht parking Aue 2 op 10 minuutjes stappen en slecht 10 eu.

Fijn hotel; goed gelegen. Kamers goed verzorgd, en uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Prettige receptie.
Vervelend alleen dat op zomeravond de hele nacht hard geluid was van terrassen, zodat slapen er niet in zit.

Alles wunderbar

Super Frühstücksbuffet mit selbst gemachtem Obstsalat. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen.
Mitten im Zentrum und dennoch ruhig gelegen. Auch bei Zimmer, die zur Strasse gerichtet sind. Sehr sauber, nur die Fenster hätten eine Reinigung nötig.

Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Größe des Zimmers ist gut.
Das Badezimmer ist sanierungsbedürftig: Betätigungsplatte der Spülung fällt raus. Duschkabine ist katastrophal, die Schiebeelemente lassen sich nicht schieben, Schiebeelement hat einen Riss. Abfluss ist verstopft.

Das Frühstück war für den Preis sensationell. Es kann locker mit dem eines hochpreisigen Hotels mithalten. Das Personal sehr freundlich und sehr sehr zuvorkommend. In meinen Augen ist das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert und wir meine erste Wahl sein wenn ich wieder in Wuppertal bin. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältniss ist sehr gut und wir waren sehr überrascht was man für denn günstigen Preis geboten bekam ( 5 Sterne sind eigentlich zu wenig!).
