The introduction upon arrival was very clear, concise, and told us what we needed to know about the hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. No restaurant and only daytime concierge but wasn't an issue for us as there was dining nearby and in oldtown lagos. Didn't have any concerns we needed to raise with concierge so all worked out fine.

The hotel was great, the room was really big, we had a full kitchen and a sofa with lots of space for two people. The bed and pillows were comfortable. They changed the towels and cleaned the floors everyday, which we were really grateful for since some sand came back with us from the beach. The only thing, was the abandonned hotel nearby. I did have an issue with a sliding glass door to the balcony that had a broken lock. I alerted the reception on a Monday. The repair was never made. I didn’t feel unsafe, but would have felt more secure if the repair had been made.

View from the suite is less than pleasant. Tear down buildings and bear farm. No self service laundry facilities on premises. All services are at a sister hotel that is 15 minutes walk. Our room was very large, more suitable for a longer stay, but we knew going in that we had that. No laundry machine in the apartment but we did go find a place to do laundry. Lovely apartment - very clean with all modern appliances though the hob controls take a little getting used to. Ana on reception was very helpful. Perfect location, quiet and clean. Ocean view room has amazing view. Yes there is an abandoned building next door but it didn't affect us at all. I enjoyed my stay here. Only downside is that the parking garage /spots are so small and hard to park. We trying not to take the car out of garage once it parked in a good spot, used uber to get around.

The hotel apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean and modern. It is really close to the beach and a walking distance to the old town. The only challenge was the underground parking lot which for someone who is from North America like me was really tight and difficult to navigate between the concrete pillars. Unfortunately the pictures of the balconies shown on Expedia were very deceiving. The building next door is old, abandoned, and full of graffiti. That was the view we had out of our windows. I was very disappointed to have paid so much for this property. Such a disappointing view.

If you are going to focus on spending time at the beach, cooking at the “hotel” (it’s more like an apartment), and not going to the center of the city often, then this would be a good choice.
Many reviews mentioned that the center of the city is a 15-20 minute walk - which is true, but when it’s 80% humidity it’s not enjoyable (for us at least), and it’s not a flat walk (for those who this is an issue). The grocery store is about that far as well. You can take Ubers/bolts, but it gets tiresome.

An amazing stay!
This property is in one of the best locations in Algarve. You cannot beat the view and access to the Praia de Ana for this price. The large condo is modern, comfortable and clean with a full kitchen. The tub and shower in our unit required a large step up with no hand rails. Please call and ask if there is a unit with accommodations if you need them. It was relaxing having meals on our balcony overlooking the cliffs. The entrance to the boardwalk along the cliffs is across the street. The entrance to the beach is a half block away. There are a lot of stairs going up and down, but everything is constructed well. If you are disabled, I think you can access the upper boardwalk at other locations that appear not to have stairs. If disabled, you will not be able to access the beach as there is no elevator, but you can enjoy the view from the overlook right by the condo or take a boat ride from downtown Lagos to see the beautiful rock formations up close. There are a few restaurants and a convenience store next to the condo. There are grocery stores and other restaurants within 10 minutes. You are able to walk places, as well, but the streets are narrow. The condo has a basement parking garage with an elevator. Rent a short, small car or suv because the corners and spaces are very tight. There is very limited parking on the street. Vanessa and Anna at the front desk are amazingly helpful and friendly. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and didn't want to leave!

THis hotel was infested with ants. They were on the dining table, couch, all over. On the first day, they sent someone to spray and on the second day they said they would do a deep clean and after third night we left. We asked to have management call us and they never did. The reception is open only during the day and the rest of the time lights are on motion detector and is very dark. Looking down from the balcony you see homless person living in a tent. I would go somewhere else.

Love every thing about it. Two minutes walk to the beach. 10 minutes walk to the grocery shop. 15 to 20 minutes walk to old town and Marina. You stay in a nice apartment with all hotel service. The best asset of this hotel is Venessa,From the moment we arrived, Vanessa greeted us with smile. She was incredibly helpful with everything—from recommending excellent restaurants and tours to making sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness, professionalism, and care made us feel not just like guests, but like family.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Villa Doris suites! Every staff member we spoke with was so kind and helpful! The hotel is just a 2 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches. The room itself was large and spacious as well as squeaky clean! Peoples reviews mention the abandoned building next door; this was a non-issue for us. Abandoned buildings are ALL over Portugal and not uncommon in the least. When we were visiting there was only someone at reception from 10 am to 6 pm so if you needed something outside of those hours you would have to contact another property, but we never needed that. Most restaurants and the center of town is a short 15 minute of a 4 euro uber ride (we did both.) We also ordered food to our place using Glovo. I could hear when someone moved chairs in the apartment above us, buy overall peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Only 5-star reviews of this property; the check- in was fine and quick, although it was off-site (just nav/map it). The building next door is vacant and sketchy but it is not - the area is being redeveloped. Dining options are somewhat scant under a 10- 15 minute walk, but there are many just beyond that. Parking is free in front of the building and available when we were there, but not sure if there are spaces in the summer, as there is a beach access and club there.

The property is across the boardwalk that goes along the coast and made it very convenient to go for a scenic walk by the ocean. It’s also within 15-20 minutes walking distance to the old town. There’s a small grocery store in front of the round-about a few steps from the property so that was convenient as well. The property is across the boardwalk that goes along the coast and made it very convenient to go for a scenic walk by the ocean. It’s also within 15-20 minutes walking distance to the old town. There’s a small grocery store in front of the round-about a few steps from the property so that was convenient as well. Liked the location close to beach and boardwalk! The staff were friendly and helpful! Room was spacious and clean! Need a better coffee pot. Need on site self laundry service or better yet add stackable washer/dryer in suites. Overall had an amazing time and will recommend to family and friends for sure!

Well placed near the water. Check in is not at the hotel but nearby. Went the wrong way trying to find the hotel. It is bizarrely, built attached to a huge abandoned apartment building. Looks like a reno project that Covid killed. However, hotel was excellent. Will stay there again.

It was a fine apartment, very close to the best beach in Lagos and scenic boardwalk trails! We appreciated the location, having so much space to spread out, and extra towels for the beach. We read the reviews ahead of time and were prepared for the downsides: off-site reception, attached to a condemned building, difficult to navigate the very tight parking lot, a cold pool that had not been skimmed of bugs, and the hot tub not functioning. It is not a high end hotel, but it met our needs for the week and we had a pleasant stay.

Huge place! Comfortable bed. A bit of a walk to the old town centre - about 30 minutes but very close to the beautiful boardwalks overlooking the sculpted cliffs. Very close to a beautiful small beach too. No hotel cafe but we enjoyed the Nauticus cafe next door. The suit has a kitchen but would have been nice to have some coffee - even instant provided. There is a coffee machine in the lobby which is very inexpensive but our black coffee tasted like it had sugar in it. We both like it without sugar so opted to buy some instant for the room.

The hotel is on a quiet small street that has easy access to Praia Dona Ana and a boarded walkway that brings you all the way to Ponta da Piedade. I was initially nervous because the hotel is connected to an abandoned building. But the hotel is clean, very new looking and the hostess at check in was great. Parking is available on the street or underground for hotel guests. We drove to Lagos but there are a few restaurants nearby… we went to pizzeria GattodiAro, great pizzas! Our suite was very big and had an outdoor private balcony that you could see the ocean. Lovely

The location of the hotel is excellent, just a few meters from the beach. The rooms are clean, spacious and have their own bathroom. The property is well-equipped and has a huge balcony. The staff are helpful and kind. There is one negative: they change the laundry at 5 am and the noise of the truck and the cage can be heard in the room.
