The property manager was very warm, helpful, and responsible. The breakfast was delicious, and we could choose from different breakfast sets.
The location was convenient. The room and towels were very clean, and the room was cleaned every day. The shower was comfortable, and I especially loved the nice scent of the towels! There were no mosquitoes or bugs, and the air conditioning worked very well. The small garden was also beautiful and lovely.
The only downsides were that the room was a bit small, and the counter/table space in the bathroom was too limited, so it was not very convenient to place our things.

A great little hotel! We stayed in a superior room, the bathrooms were on the smaller side but very clean! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Each room had its own mini split and fan so ac wasn’t an issue. There was a nice little morning coffee package provided to make a coffee in the room but every day we received a text asking us what we would like for breakfast the next day. All the breakfasts were made fresh the morning of, as well as a plate of fruit each. Adrian was super accommodating and had our breakfast ready earlier as we booked some early morning tours. The floor where the superior rooms are located had a great hangout/lounge sitting area with a fantastic view of the Arenal volcano. There is also a water and ice refill station in the lobby area which came in handy. Honestly this hotel is something you might drive by and miss but it was a great stay! It’s more in the heart of La Fortuna, within walking distance of soo many restaurants and all tours will pickup at this location! We would definitely stay here again!

Can Uber to major attractions except for the Arenal Volcano national park where there’s spotty Wi-Fi. Just pre-arrange with your Uber driver to pick you up afterwards.

Great breakfast menu, they let you add extras of whatever you’d like (eg. Extra eggs, rice, ham, etc). Staff were very friendly. The room itself was very average, clean but a bit aged. Thin walls so you can easily hear your neighbours on the hallway, doors slamming, dogs barking, etc. Air conditioning was very reliable.

One of the best and coziest hotels I’ve ever stayed in (budget friendly of course) We never splurge on hotels, this included so this being the best is by far an understatement! The staff was so welcoming from the beginning and informative, they had great combo deals for attractions to visit that we didn’t know would be available until arrival so we ended up-making our planned hike a guided one that included lunch and hot springs for $50! Amazing hospitality! The free breakfast is by far better than you expect free breakfast to be. Its a curated menu that you order off of every night before bed and schedule the time you would like to come down to have it served and it always had fruit to start. It was so special, the hotel itself was so accessible and had so much lounging and fun things to do even in the hotel. I loved my stay here, would definitely come back. Shoutout Josue!!!!

Adrian welcomed and gave us several restaurant recommendations. The included breakfast was delicious. We had a great view of volcano Arenal from our room. The AC worked great, excellent water pressure in the shower. Hair dryer and toiletries provided. Unlike other hotels, there were hooks to hang your wet towel on. Located far enough away from the main drag that it was quiet at night, but close enough to walk to restaurants and shops.

I wished there was a screen on the patio door or window so I can leave it open for extra ventilation without letting bugs in. The room can get humid too. The bathroom is a nice size, but for some reason water easily splashes out of the shower and gets the floor outside of it wet.

The location in the heart of La Fortuna town is a winner! It’s also in an intimate neighborhood setting. It’s perfectly clean. Very well kept as you’ll see in the photos. Front desk staff always with a smile. Breakfast was made to order and good. Typical Costa Rican and familiar options. Small portion but filling. Ask for more if you wish.

I had a great experience at this hotel! The room was a bit small, but it was extremely clean and well-maintained, which made it very comfortable.
The location is excellent—right in the heart of La Fortuna’s downtown. It’s super convenient to walk to restaurants, shops, and tour pickup points. You really can’t beat the access!

We stayed 1 week at La Fortuna Lodge at the beginning of the rainy season (end of May), and had a great stay there.
The hotel is ideally situated a few blocks off the main road/centre town, near the edge of the jungle forest. There are plenty of restaurants close by (highly recommend “La Fortuneno”) as well as coffee shops, tourism offices, souvenir shops, grocery/convenience, etc. Many tourist attractions are close to La Fortuna, which makes this hotel a great spot to stay.
The hotel itself has a great view of the volcano, and the property is well-kept/clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Our room had a balcony facing the volcano and overlooking the local street.
The staff were very friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. Thank you to all the wonderful staff, including the housekeeping and kitchen staff, as well as Roy and Daniel who helped us book all our excursions and airport transfers. Everybody there made our special occasion a little more special and memorable.
One thing we liked was the customized breakfast, which can be ordered the night before, and if you are going on an excursion you can get it in a take-away box (helpful for early morning starts). You can also borrow umbrellas from the front desk if it rains. The property also has standard safety features, including locked front gates and a digital safe in your room. We did not drive but there appeared to be plenty of parking for those who do.

I had an amazing experience at La Fortuna Lodge! The staff went above and beyond to help get shuttles and book my excursions. The breakfast and coffee were great! I could walk everywhere or quickly get an uber whenever I wanted. Beautiful place and would definitely go back.

We had a lovely stay at La Fortuna Lodge. The facilities are in very good condition. Staff is very helpful but not overbearing. Daniel at reception was great. The location is close to the main drag but two short blocks away so relatively quiet and very safe. The vibe is totally Pura Vida. We would happily return here.

This was in between a hostel and a high end resort which was exactly what I wanted. Gated and staffed 24/7 with great connection to local food and tours. Room overlooked Arenal and got great pics from my balcony.

We appreciated the walk ability to just about everywhere in La Fortuna. Did a few tours through the front desk and they were excellent. The top terrace was a nice place to hang out in the evenings for a quiet drink. Breakfast was quite good, nice to have fresh fruit, and coffee available as well. Not 5 star but perfect for our needs.

This was a great spot close enough to everything for it to be walkable but still quiet. Being right in La Fortuna, all of our tours were able to pick us up straight from the hotel. What really set it apart was the staff, particularly Daniel! He really was a phenomenal and warm host and made our stay special.
