Staff were very friendly & helpful. The views from the balcony off our room, the dining & lounge area were so lovely. The pool was clean & the paths were swept regularly. Clean towels daily.
The breakfast food included was just ok. Dinner meals have to be ordered in, if you don't have a vehicle, as there is nothing within walking distance. But they deliver right to your room.

Had a room number eight. Wonderful view. Overlooking the valley. The room next to us had the same view. Breakfast was cooked to order. Very nice people there. Jennifer and Brenda. The only issue was that it was difficult to get hot water though they could adjust that and did. But the water pressure was very very low. But otherwise they have a beautiful swimming pool. They're hot tub is simply a jet tub but didn't go in as

Not what we expected for the price.

Wonderful staff but hotel is a little bit tired and is totally over priced for what it offers. Beds were unconformable and breakfast was poor.
Very expensive compared to other hotels we stayed at on our trip to Costa Rica.
Great views though.

A beautiful place with very friendly and accommodating staff! It also has a nice looking pool and hot tub that I couldn't check out due to the weather. The landscaping is magical and offers multiple hidden seating areas. The vi we w across the valley is simply spectacular. The noise of the nearby highway can be bothersome when the semis are trucking up or down the mountain, but it's easily quieted if you shut the windows. The only drawback to my stay was the cold shower I had to take on the morning of checkout. The water was definitely hot the other days...

I could focus my review on the hotel itself which well exceeded my expectations, but instead I want to use the characters I have available to me to praise Marta and the staff at Rinconcito Verde. Marta in particular went far beyond what could reasonably be expected from a hotel manager. I think it is fair to say that she took the lemons presented to us by Enterprise rent a car and turned them into lemonade! Minus Marta's interventions our holiday in Costa Rica could have gotten off to a disastrous start. In a very real way Marta set the tone for our visit. She became the first of many Ticos we would meet who, with a quick and welcoming smile, made what can at times be the challenges of international travel completely disappear. Although I believe it to be an inadequate expression of our appreciation, thank you most sincerely Marta!

Very friendly……accommodating…..reception from William. Appreciated the early checkin because room was ready. Helped us with the jacuzzi setup. The complimentary breakfast was quite filling……had 4 choices…..delicious omelet and gallo pinto. Workers were very friendly and courteous. Beautiful setting…..lush tropical plants.

I think her name was Joanne or Joanna but she was amazing! She had to be the friendliest and most helpful front desk attendant ever. We gave her a good tip. The view is amazing and the hotel is surrounded by fauna. The rooms are not the nicest but everything else makes up for it.

Quiet Valley Gem!

Beautiful valley view at this location! Family run staff are very friendly and helpful with any issues or questions about the area. The property is very clean, and well maintained. We enjoyed the included breakfast prepared when you start your day. The property is very ecology minded, with solar water heating in the rooms and for the swimming pool. Will definitely recommend to others and return again ourselves!

It has a nice view and nice pool. Jennifer checked me in and she could not have been nicer. Breakfast was also very tasty. The property has a gate that opens directly off the street and the gate is usually closed. When you arrive you can call them to open the automated gate for you so you can pull inside.

Altho located on a major thoroughfare for large trucks and vehi6- this is an AMAZING facility! Just loved it! Absolutely nothing can chamge the traffic sounds but the ambience, staff and VIEWS make it worthearning to 'block ' trafgic noise..We loved it, the longer we stayed, the harder it was to leave. AWESOME!

The overlook is beautiful. Staff is really helpful in taking buses and taxis, and knowledgeable about surrounding areas. The breakfast were delicious. The property was clean. Hot water for showers. The mattress was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

The most difficult thing appears to be able to find the hotel. It is off a busy road on a tight turn with limited width and you will find you have to use the intercom to get the gate to be opened. Use this GPS: 9.834830, -83.836998 location to get you to the exact turn-off for the private gated hotel.
Parking is sufficient once inside and the rooms spacious with good beds and bathrooms/showers. Comfy seating on each verandah provides needed relaxation. The kitchen in the room has fridge and coffee making facilities. WiFi is good throughout the hotel grounds.
The breakfast area has a magnificent view over the lake and beyond. Pool water was crystal clear. Would recommend.

Convenient spot for a brief stay.

The hotel is located just outside Cartago. The breakfast was great, and the staff was fantastic. They went out of their way to make things comfortable for us.

The walls were a little thin and we could almost every move of the guy next to us. Construction was underway in the back which was a little disruptive, but once finished, it should be lovely.

I recommend this place alone for the lovely staff running the hotel.

A littel green corner...

Another nice family run hotel. The owner and staff were great. The hotel provides a cooked breakfast on the terrace everyday and our huge room had a fantastic view of Orosi valley.

The pool is solar heated to keep it warm because the evenings are cool and there is secure parking out front with an automatic gate. Beware if you visit the ruins at Guayabo - you get there on some very rough unpaved roads. Don't try it in a normal sedan.

Volcan Urazu is worth the trip.

Paradise near Paraiso and Orosi

Unbelievable view from dining patio and pool and from the room. This is one of those places where everything is so beautiful it hurts. Wonderful people running it- a family- all smart and professional and personable. Great staff overall. Nice breakfast, and they will make you batidos and have beer for sale. Food available to go from local restaurants can be delivered. Just and outstanding simple small resort for a fair price.

Clean, adequate accommodations overlooking Orosi Valley. Maria greeted us on our arrival and was very helpful and spoke English. She was kind enough to deliver two beers to our room after our harrowing trip from Jaco through San Jose and Cartago. Breakfast was good the next morning The WiFi was the best we had the whole time in Costa Rica. Marta, the owner, came to our rescue when the rental car would not start because of a dead battery in the key fob. She drove us into town and back to get a new one. She was a life saver and would not accept gas money we offered. The property entrance is on a hairpin turn. The downshifting trucks on the road going down the mountain are loud. As it gets later the noise settles down. My suggestion to improve comfort of room would be newer, fresher sheets, blankets and bedspreads. Ours were threadbare and did not seem freshly laundered. Must see besides Orosi Valley drive is Jardin Botanical Gardins.

Pratique pour visiter la vallée d’Orosi.
Piscine agreable , personnel très gentil. Possibilité de se faire livrer le repas du soir (pas de restaurant sur place)
En revanche en bord de route donc pour les amateurs de calme, c’est à prendre en considération. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé mais le traffic reprend vers 4h du matin environ ( nous y sommes allés hors saison ).
Fermé par un grand portail marron ( sonner en arrivant)

Die Unterkunft ist etwas die Tage gekommen. Es sollte dringend etwas verwehrt werden. Die Zimmer an sich waren sauber aber die Handtücher und Bettwäsche machte alles ein schmuddeligen ein. Die weiße Handtücher waren zum Beispiel deutlich angegraut. Das Frühstück war für Costa RicaVerhältnisse In Ordnung. Das Hotel direkt an einer Hauptstraße liegt, ist es abends teilweise recht laut

Unser Zimmer wies am Fensterbogen großflächig schwarzen Schimmel auf. Als wir den Rezeptionisten darauf hinwiesen, bot er uns einen Zimmertausch an. Im neuen Zimmer war auf den ersten Blick alles gut. Als wir im Dunkeln ins Bad gingen, war die Wand voller Ameisen. An der Rezeption fragten wir nach Insektenschutzmittel und kümmert uns selbst um die Schädlinge. Es wurden leider immer mehr, da sich im Bad anscheinend ein Nest befand.
Das Hotel ist etwas abgelegen, aber schön ruhig. Die Aussicht ist auch toll. Die Anlage insgesamt ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal ist bemüht. Das Frühstück war sehr langweilig.

kleines grünes Paradies

wunderschönes wenn auch nicht großes Gelände. Alles Natur. Tolle Ausblicke auf Orosi. Großes Zimmer mit der besten Dusche in CR.Lecker Frühstück. Parken im Hof. Pool war warm und hat einen Lift für behinderte Personen, gibt es sehr selten. Von der Straße haben wir nichts gehört. Zentral gelegen. Es wird kein Abendessen angeboten, also entweder fahren (laufen ist weit) oder sich was kommen lassen (ohne Probleme) man sucht sich aus div. Speisekarten was aus und läßt anrufen (wenn man kein spanisch kann).
