This hotel is old and dated. Roofs everywhere were leaking, the rooms were old, mouldy and in desperate need of repair. The breakfast buffet was very ordinary and unhygienic. Price was also very expensive for what was offered.

- The pool and gym are amazing.
- The staff are very attentive, always smiling and willing to help.
- Room service was acceptable.
- The rooms and furniture are a bit old and outdated.
- I had some issue with my room keys. However, staff helped me immediately. 2 out of 3 times were me not being very familiar with how the keys work in certain circumstances. Once there was a faulty key.

The location is quiet which is good, staff was friendly. Food was very standard. But the rooms are a bit run down, our room cupboard was broken below the sink, the fridge also leakes water on our last night. The internet connection was bad since our check in, couldnt use wifi and We stayed for 2 nights.

The Bogor Novotel is a magical escape from the crowds of Jakarta. Food is excellent, the buildings are traditional and gracious, the staff is caring and the gardens are glorious. We loved seeing young families enjoying Sunday breakfast and outdoor activities. Airport transportation was great. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a Jakarta retreat,

Used to be good place, now rooms looks obviously old. Parking was hassle, there was no spot for a single car until the gate, had to drive around and wait almost 20 mins. I book for garden view room, once we arrived at 10pm they put us first floor, corner room at the back side of the right wing which was spooky, had to change 4 rooms until make sure we got the garden view but still end up in twin beds instead of king. All process took another hour come and go. Stuff was trying to help but they had no idea what was going on.

Hotel that has the Bali-feel

My wife and I stayed over at Novotel Bogor for two nights (29/4 to 1/5). We liked the environment there. Very peaceful, nice greenery, with some animals in the garden. Relaxing feel as though we were in Bali. The staff were helpful and polite. When we checked in, the tv in the room was not working well. The hotel staff did some trouble-shooting but still could not fix the problem. Hence, the staff changed the tv to a new set.

Areas to improve:
1. Wide variety of buffet spread but too few vegetarian dishes.
2. Good to label vegetarian dishes to make it easy for vegetarians.
3. As there were limited vegan options, I ordered fried noodles with vegetables and it was way too salty. Hate to waste food but didn't have a choice as the fried noodles was inedible.
4. Room door was misaligned. Cannot be closed properly. Had to use force to slam shut the door. With the card key, we were unable to open the door a few times. Had to seek help from hotel staff.
5. Deposit box in the room was faulty.

One of the worst stay in Novotel chain that I ever been. Service was really slow, cleanliness was questionable. Room phone is broken. Given smoking room even though requested non smoking in hotels.com. Overall was bad expirience. I would rather stay the hotel next door than this so called 4 stars hotel.

Nice hotel in Bogor

In general, it's probably fair to say that Bogor doesn't have the conveniences of Jakarta. This is a great hotel by Bogor standards but maybe not so great by international standards. Common areas are fine, but my room which was supposed to have been an upgrade from the standard room was generally run down, had an ant problem, low water pressure and the toilet area definitely needed renovation.

The plus side was the golf course and lush garden area. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Almost everything was amazing

Grounds and buildings are absolutely uniquely beautiful and you could easily spend your whole holiday never leaving the site. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, just some general maintenance required for routine wear and tear. Air conditioning is not very cold. Room service takes forever to come - allow an hour. Fitness and pool staff - amazing. Spa staff - rude and very unprofessional

It's an old hotel with great green sorroundings

Again it's an old non renovated hotel. Please expect non Novotel city hotel rooms for this one. I was given rooms at 2nd floor therefore not much sunlight came to the room. The room has \"typical old room\" scent. The terrace is also not well maintained. The bedsheets start to has stain in some spot. The bathroom is okay with standard amenities.
The staff are amazing. Very friendly and helping even I stayed on peak season. They remember how to keep the friendly standard above good.
Breakfast has lots of varieties but so so in taste.
View and the feelings outside the room is amazing

We went for a romantic getaway on the weekend. The place was great. We love the ambience, the ethnicity, and the room was quite big. Lil bit disappointed with the small pool, while they have some children pool.
They have a lot of other activities like archery, horse riding, library, and small cinema.

A good experience overall

Loved the lush green and quietness. However, hotel staff were not ready for the high season traffic. Check in took long hours and some supplies were out when needed, such as extra blankets and towels. The pool service area was closed at 5.30 PM so families could not continue to enjoy the pool.

Good but...

Hotel was nice and the staff at front desk, room service and transportation was very good. The bad part was the leaking ceiling in my room. I found the ceiling dripping with water two mornings out of three I stayed there. This disturbed my sleep and the floor was slippery due to dripping water. They fixed it both times but the fact that it was leaking the second time means the problem was more serious than a simple fix.

Mattress. If you have to get two rooms because of a big family the rooms are side by side in little enclaves to give a sense of protection. But the rooms do not connect internally. Food buffets are great, and in covered outside sitting

We came here during easter break and it was a great stay. Kids loved it and weather was cool with rains every afternoon during our stay. Lots of activities for the kids. Buffet breakfast was nice, food was abundant. Spa was great too. Will definitely come back and stay here again.

I and 9 of my senior friends stayed in Novotel from 13th of April and checked out on the 17th morning. It was a pleasant trip. For us the stay in Novotel was a relaxing stay, with the clean environment, cool surrounding, good companion. The rooms are big,clean, and tidy. The staff are friendly and every morning there is a counter with coffee, tea and some cakes for people who has to leave the hotel early.

We had a relaxing time and would definitely like to visit Novotel again. Please keep up with the good work.

The hotel grounds and atmosphere were extremely pleasant and very welcoming. The staff were friendly and keen to help. However the rooms were incredibly damp, with damp patches on the ceilings simply painted over. The rooms were dark and dingy. The towels, which we had to actually request were damp and dirty looking. Although the food was nice the waiting was ridiculous... An hour for children's ice creams after dinner, an hour and a quarter for bar snacks. Admittedly Chinese New Year weekend is busy but this should have been expected and prepared for. Breakfast waits were equally as bad, with no cutlery, bowls, cups, glasses or milk. We had to queue for over 20 minutes in order to check out. All in all what had the potential to be a lovely stay was a huge let down and was definitely not worth the money. The surroundings may have been nice but the rooms were worth a tiny fraction of the enormous price tag paid. Particularly disappointing as it was for my husband's birthday.

This stay was for business and the location was very close to our meetings. The room was clean but had a slight musty smell to it... The desk brought over some oils to heat up which took care of the smell immediately. The bed was a little hard for my tastes but i still slept well. Wonderful grounds but was not there with my spouse to enjoy it. The tub outside on the patio was a great touch...

Relaxing week-end

Apart from the experience at check in my stay was generally very pleasant. The reception staff were helpful afterwards as were the staff in the bar and restaurants. The hotel is quite far away from Bogor city centre which can be a problem for tourists with no transport. This was not a problem for me as I wanted to be away from it all and I found the hotel grounds beautiful and perfect for relaxation. The swimming pool is on the small side for a hotel of this size, rather narrow, but was adequate when I was there because the hotel was not full. I ate in the hotel at all times and found the food and service to be very good. One word of warning, taxis are scarce in this city and need to be ordered in advance. The taxi drivers in the city centre (with the exception of those of Bluebird Taxis) are not to be trusted and are likely to switch their meters off and charge anything they feel like and as the Novotel is far out they see this as an ideal opportunity!! Generally the Novotel was very comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone.

Serene surroundings. But a busy hotel - breakfast was a bit of a bun fight as staff struggled to replenish the buffet - ended up having to sit in the smoking section. Pleasant Italian restaurant in the hotel.
Found the rooms dark and the shower and tap water was never piping hot. The gym is in an attractive, separate building, arrived at night and nearly fell into water on the way to it as the pathways are poorly lit. Lack of towels in the gym, no signing in book and one of the two running machines was dangerous (the track kept stuttering).
Having said all that, I would stay there again.

I am aware that Novotel Bogor is an old property, but I did not expect it is THAT old! Furniture is old and look dirty (especially dinning chair at restaurant) ... It is obvious that the property is not well-maintain. Looking for relaxing and tranquil ambiance for my precious weekend but did not get it because many families with children around. Pool and restaurant staff did not response well to guest needs.
Overall, this property is not qualified as one of Accor's Hotel property. And not worth the money.

Fasilitas lengkap sekali (pool, playground for kids indoor - outdoor, fitness, courts, open area, horse riding, animal feeding), dan acara hiburan untuk anak2nya juga banyak. Jd yg bawa toddler - anak usia sekolah, mereka senang krn banyak kegiatan yg fun. Para staff sec keseluruhan juga sopan, santun, penuh senyum (tetima kasih ya mba Okke di receptionis yg ramah, mba Putri, Febri, dan April para kids attendant yg baik & seru, dan para bapak2 bell boy yg helpfull). Namun sayangnya krn bagian depan hotel dlm renovasi, pemandangan depan jd kotor, berantakan dan jalanan byk berlubang (kubangan air krn hujan).

Zeer goed hotel met dito personeel. ook voor kinderen een heel mooi verblijf vanwege de buiten zwembaden en prachtig park. De tuinen van Bogor is wat op afstand maar met een tranfer een fijne beleving. Kombineer met een transfer naar Bandoeg via de Puntjak is een super beleving.
