The property was exactly as described, on the beach, clean, peaceful and with amazing staff. We were greeted by Temayani who looked after us from when we arrived ( early) to getting our room ready as soon as possible and then arranging a generous late check out. Other staff included Shemsha, Grace and Guidion who made the whole vacation beyond amazing. Thank you so much

Our stay at the Jambiani villas was incredible. Our villa in front of the ocean was a dream, and it was hard to leave this paradise. The place was impeccable. The beds are super comfortable. The views were simply extraordinaire. The food was delicious, and the staff was so friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer, and I cannot wait to return. I cannot strongly recommend this magic place more .

The location on a very long and clean beach is very nice, food is quite good and staff very helpful. The TV (for films only )did not work and they came to replace it with another TV to view netflix. they do always have fresh water available, which is great on a sunny day. The room we had was very nice with view on the pool and the ocean. We will come back.

Beautiful beachfront hotel

This place is a true haven of peace!
Upon checking in, we were upgraded to a beautiful 3 bedroom villa, and what a lovely surprise! The villa shared a pool with a second villa, but it felt as if it was ours.
The villa offers plenty of space. Kitchen is fully equipped. Rooms are all spacious. Master bedroom on the upper floor had a balcony with an amazing view of the sea and pool! Couldn't get enough of it!
The beach is right in front of the villa. During low tide, you can walk far and meet some of the local people collecting seaweed. At high tide, it's perfect for swimming.
The hotel has 3 different grounds, we were in Bahani, about 5 minutes walk from the main hotel where you'll find the restaurant. We had dinner a few times, the catch of the day was always delicious and we were never disappointed. Breakfast is served there as well. Food was good but I would suggest serving brewed coffee or americano for free and maybe adding some jam. But the guacamole was delicious and the fresh fruits as well!
Kudos to the team who was wonderful! Gillian, David, Frank, Ernest, Christina and the rest, you guys did an amazing job!

We stayed in the south villa and shared our pool with only one other villa and this was very nice. The breakfast was nice and had a good variety. The walk to the restaurant may be a challenge for some guests. We tried the food one other time and it was poor. The service was also lacking because the staff rarely came to our table or forgot to bring things we had asked for.
The cleaning and reception staff were great.
Overall a very pleasant place.

Best place at Zanzibar east coast

Amazing place to stay in Zanzibar. One of the few places the pics are not doing justice - place is even more beautiful in real life.

Pros:
amazing staff - very professional and friendly. David especially was very helpful attending to all of our needs. The hotel is very intimate (only a few on each of the three complex), right on the beach and designed tastefully. Close to many nice local restaurants (we really liked Fadhil).

Cons:
AC is not so great, the hotel prices for attraction and taxis are very high. They charge 95 USD for return taxi from the airport, while I easily managed to book a private luxury taxi for just 50 USD.

From check in to check out, staying at Jambiani Villas was amazing! I stayed in the Kaskazini grouping which was one of the newer groupings of villas. I had a fully equipped kitchen (which I barely used but seemed great). AC and lots of fans kept me nice and cool when it got hot, and the pool / waking up to the sound of the ocean on my doorstep was even better. The staff were fantastic... respectful, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about not only your stay, but you as a person. Had a lovely stay, wish it could be longer, and would definitely recommend a stay here!

Everything about this stay was good. We only had a few things which we would have liked to change. The food was delicious unfortunately the portions were small and in order to make it a full meal you had to have a starter. Once you did this the bill started to climb rapidly and the cost become too much. We ate there a few times but tended to shop around more. Another point of concern and to be honest a real disappointment was the \"others\" who occupied the space. I dont mean the other people in the villas but the resort behind us Green Z. I checked the cost and it was less than half what we paid foe the same nights yet they ate free breakfast with us, their kids ran around the same resort and used the pool, and the parents and kids took up all the lounge chairs. Several days we never got anywhere to relax in the sun because all the chairs were in use and over half were from these 'others\". It got to the point I had to go out at 8am and put towels down on chairs for us to have a place to relax. I dont think it's fair to pay so much and have to share with others paying half the price with all the same privileges or even getting the things I assumed came with our rental. Overall service was fantastic, staff and management were wonderful! Just 2 minor points would have really made this stay an eleven.

Incredibly friendly managers that were super helpful to give us tips. You can also use the kayaks and bikes to get around the beach. Food was pretty excellent and staff was extremely friendly. Apartments are very nicely designed and bright and airy. The beach in Paje is nicer but the hotels there are not near this level. I’d recommend taking a taxi everyday to Paje instead. Wish we had stayed at Jambiani Villas longer

Lovely stay in one of the best hotels in the area

We enjoyed our stay despite all the terrible weather! The owner was welcoming and helpful whenever we needed anything. Everywhere was kept very clean and sanitary, gave the impression of being a big step up from anywhere else we went on the island in terms of basic western standards. All staff were pleasant to interact with and, with our early arrival, we really appreciated being allowed to grab a quick bite and drink as breakfast wound down then granted access to our room early.
The pool area is nice and there were just enough sunbeads. Bike rental was useful and easy too.
Breakfast was very good for a hotel of such modest size. Well beyond what might be expected with decent quality and variety as well as fresh cooked options. Dinner was more expensive than any other local options, price paid for convenience as the food was good but not remarkable.
The room was a very good size. Especially liked the kitchen and bathroom off the entrance room. Made it very easy to keep sandy feet and shoes out of the bedroom. One way glass for the windows is a clever touch too. Appreciated how quiet the fan and a/c were.

We loved the villa! It was laidd out well and the rooms were beautiful. The air conditioner did not work in one room, which made it rough, but the property provided a fan. A pool is shared with only 2 villas, so it was like we had our own pool. Plenty of sun chairs were provided and were very comfortable. The dining was about 800m down the beach and at night we were escorted by workers from the property. There were multiple food options at the dining hall. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful and caring.

Although we only stayed one night, we were given what I consider to be one of the best rooms overlooking the pool and thence our to sea. Spacious and well appointed, good towels and lovely loungers. Very helpful, friendly staff. Pity the sea was full of sea weed but better than the jelly fish at the beach in the north! Low tide goes out a very long way. Would recommend this hotel which provides a full kitchen and a very welcome fridge.

This property is amazing if you want to unplug from the world as it offers a very calming environment. I would've loved to have an option of television available, there was an opportunity to use a flash drive for movie watching but unfortunately mine didn't work for one movie. Personal preference of course but it would have been nice to have any activities available even if just exercise. They do have bikes available for use to ride throughout the village which was nice. The managers were kind but of a different culture so the tone appeared a little off at some time but I respect it. They were excellent at offering advice and availability.

The staff was amazing but they almost seemed timid to engage. The food was decent/good. It was interesting that USD was required for transactions and a 5% fee was added to charges.

The beach was nice but definitely not swimmable but after traveling to other beaches on the island Kendwa and Nungwi were the 2 that were the most.

Overall, nice property but I probably wouldn't stay again.

Indian Ocean paradise on the beach

What an incredible hotel, right on the most beautiful indian ocean beach, which you pretty much have to yourself for most of the day, in the middle of a local fishing village. Service is great and very warm and friendly, d breakfast and dinner or lunch are included. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the week here and I would return in a heart beat.

We had the most relaxing and amazing stay at Jambiani Villas. This place is a real gem. The villas are tastefully decorated and well maintained. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is tasty. The grounds are lovely and lush. They offer a number of tours and activities that are well organised. We organised a private chef for ourselves the one evening and wow.. the bbq blew us away. We will definitely be telling all our friends about this beautiful little \"home away from home\". I know we will definitely be back!!

Nossa estadia foi maravilhosa! Pena que foi apenas por uma noite! Nós havíamos reservado um apartamento, mas, ao chegarmos lá, uma maravilhosa surpresa: os proprietários nos concederam um upgrade para um chalé de dois quartos, com cozinha americana, de frente para a praia. Tudo muito novo, lindo, limpo e confortável! Nem se fale na vista do quarto! São dois andares. O andar de cima, onde fica a suíte principal, tem uma sacada com cadeiras para apreciar a paisagem! O café da manhã é servido na outra propriedade, onde se chega depois de cerca de 5 minutos de caminhada pela praia. Mas pode-se pedir o café da manhã no quarto tb. Hakuna Matata!

A delightful holiday villa right on Jambiani beach

My wife and I spent 5 days at Jambiani Villas and had a great time. We went in low season and it rained a bit a few of the days but that did not spoil our visit at all. Jambiani is a quiet village and the villas are in the village but right on the beach.

The facilities were very new and spotless clean. Although the restaurant menu is not extensive, everything we had was good and the prices were reasonable.

We asked the staff to arrange a combined spice farm tour and Stonetown tour and that went very well. The driver was on time and drove well, and the guide was very knowledgeable and interesting.

All in all, a very positive experience and we would definitely return.

Great for families!

Jambiani Villas is a beautiful stay. Clean pool and grounds, perfect villa for a family stay. Jambiani beach is a lovely beach that is popular with the fishermen and Seaweed farmers. Tide goes way out, and water level is pretty low for a full swim. Exploring the low tide is pretty great, though, lots of fish, urchins and critters. There is a lovely restaurant in the Villas and also good food nearby. They help organize cars and excursions so everything is easy once you are there. There is a kitchen if you feel inspired to cook in villa.

right on beach. the villas are on a couple different properties - the restaurant is on one and it’s just a short beach walk. good restaurant. 2 pools which were nice! we got upgraded as we were there heading into off season so that was nice of them. staff were very helpful and super friendly. services (laundry, transit etc) were very expensive so we didn’t use them.

So much potentials but poor executions

We were disappointed with our stay. Upon arrival, the key to our villa was missing, which prevented us from leaving the villa with our luggage inside. We were promised by the staff that another key would be brought to us immediately, but instead we were made to wait 2+ hours.
Security guards were present on the premises, but because they were wearing normal clothing, we could not tell that they were security and were startled when they knocked on our door fairly late in the evening (in pitch black darkness). As two females traveling alone, this did not contribute to our feeling safe in the villas or area.
The front desk constantly failed to deliver on most requests made on options they offer. We ordered breakfast to be delivered to our villa, but that was met with no breakfast. Housekeeping never replaced our daily bottle water use for teeth brushing.
We were told that we could be checked out from their restaurant at a pre-agreed-upon time, only to be told (at check-out time) that I read we would need to walk an extra 15 minutes to the front desk to check out.
Laundry service was ordered, but we had to call housekeeping to remind them to bring the finished laundry back to us. Had we not made this call, our load would’ve been forgotten; the load came back damp, instead of completely dry as promised (as housekeeping has a drying machine).
Lastly, many switches and items were broken or non-functional in our villa.

Luxury and relaxation wrapped in one!

We had a very relaxing stay at Jambiani Villas. The villa is contemporary, spacious and in a perfect location right beside the beach. We enjoyed the views the villa offered of the turquoise blue Indian Ocean and white sandy shore. Jambiani Villas is located within easy walking distance to a variety of other restaurants. The manager and staff were very friendly and ensured that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Wonderful place to stay!

The team and Jambiani will go out of their way to make you feel at home. The villa was wonderful, wifi was pretty good, the beach and pool were great. The room was clean and we especially enjoyed the turn down service each evening and listening to the waves at night when the tide was in. The morning breakfast and omelets and juices, made to order, were delicious! It was a quite and relaxing getaway.

A luxury experience right on the beach!

We booked Jambiani purely from researching on-line. Without doubt the experience has been the best on-line purchase we have ever made. From the moment we arrived we were treeated as VIPs, our privacy was respected but there was also enough interest shown to make us feel appreciated. Overwhelmingly, Tina (manager) and her team get the balance just right. They are invisible enough to not intrude on your holiday but are always available to offer help and give advice/recommendation. We were holidaying with our four year old and ALL staff treated her like a princess. She 'made friends' withthe housekeepers and liked nothing more than being allowed to help clear up after breakfast! (a habit she has lost since returning home!). We will be returning to Jambiani and to Zanzibar. We would highly recommend both.

The accomodation is 90M2 but feels like double that from the brilliant design. The standard of fixtures is amazing and I would compare the quality of service to very high quality hotels in UK. Housekeeping thoroughly cleaned the whole unit every morning and then returned in the evening to turn-down beds and spray for mosquitos (we didnt see one in two weeks).

The area of Jambiani is very quiet (even by Zanzibar standards) but it is a great place to stay and return to from the bustle of stane town (1hr) or the more lively Paje (10 mins).. Cabs are plentiful and, although not cheap, are very safe and reliable. Loved every minute of our 2 weeks.

Eine perfekte Location zur Entspannung.

Großzügige, saubere Häuser mit aufmerksamen Housekeeping. Die Sonnenliegenpolster werden regelmäßig gereinigt.

Das gesamte Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch Sonderwünsche werden versucht umgehend zu realisieren.

Die feste Speisenkarte wird täglich ergänzt durch meist regionale Gerichte. Die Küche kocht sehr lecker.

Das man nur zur Flut gut im Meer baden kann wird durch den Pool kompensiert. Da die Anlage klein ist, wird es nirgendwo voll.

Hinter der Anlage beginnt dass einfache, afrikanische Leben der Einheimischen. Unsere Erfahrungen sind nur gut. Alle sind sehr freundlich und nicht aufdringlich.

We had a very good time at Jiambiani Villa. The hotel is perfectly located, “almost in” the sea! We can enjoy the swimming pool during low tides. We had the chance to have BBQ with local food and a show, local band and dancers, very nice to discover! The apartment have every commodities and tastefully decorated.

Dès l'entrée à l'hôtel on était ko. Un endroit paradisiaque propre et bien confortable. Avec une villa très charmante. En 10 min max on s'est senti vraiment comme à la maison. Piscine pour 4 villas autant dire piscine privée. Une plage magnifique. Une vue au réveil à couper le souffle. Aucune fausse note. Le personnel est très accueillant et chaleureux. La responsable est très accessible et veille à notre confort. Le restaurant est parfait. Comme vous pouvez le constater on est complètement sous le charme de cet endroit.

Mysigt hotell uppdelat med några 100 m mellanrum. Vi fick varje morgon gå en skön promenad på stranden före frukost vilket var jätteskönt. Trevlig och glad personal, supergod frukost. Allt var toppen dock så var det stor fattigdom direkt utanför hotellet in mot byn vilket kändes lite beklämmande.

Nous avons passés 5 nuits a Jambiani Villas pour notre séjour de noces.
C'est un emplacement très calme face à la plage avec piscine.. nous avions pris un appartement qui était juste au dessus du restaurant donc très pratique avec superbe vue.
L'hébergement etait très bien équipé, joliment décorée avec balcon et très spacieux !! Encore mieux en vrai qu'en photo ^^.
Le personnel était adorable ainsi que les propriétaires super accueillant.
On se sent presque comme à la maison..
Concernant le restaurant la cuisine est soignée et variée. Nous avions super bien mangé.
Merci pour ce séjour nous reviendrons avec plaisir ^^.
Je recommande cet endroit pour un couple ou famille qui recherche le calme avec un dépaysement total :).

I’ d come back right now if I could 🙃. Beautiful and very clean apartment, pretty view from bedroom (I love that tree) very comfortable bed, super tasty breakfast and other meals in the restaurant, nice pool, very friendly staff (Diana and Daniel, thank you) and cute cat. Bicycles available to go for a ride. Great value for money

Superbe hotel, avec le personnel aux petits soins.

Le restaurant est dans une autre partie du resort, mais la promenade sur la plage pour y aller est tres agreable.

Parfait pour passer quelques jours dans cette partie plus calme de l'ile. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir

Fantastic Apartments

Detta är ett fantastiskt hotell för alla som vill bo fräscht, bekvämt och i stillhet. Det finns alla bekvämligheter ni kan tänka er. Var dock observant på att det är stora skillnader i tidsvattnet och stranden får olika utseende hela tiden. Hotellet är uppdelat i 3 delar med 400m emellan, frukosten serveras i byggnaden i mitten. Allt i byn stänger 10 pm
