We loved The Royal Garden hotel, and highly recommend it! It is so close to EVERYTHING that you would want in Hong Kong....shopping, restaurants, harbour activities, transportation. It's a short walk to the promenade along the harbor, as well as a short walk to Nathan Road, and the Star Ferry. The hotel itself is beautiful, with restaurants, a spa, gym, and Gorgeous pool and hot tub. If we return to Hong Kong, we will definitely stay at The Royal Garden!

I was disappointed that this hotel had the same musty smell as other hotels I stayed at in the region, despite being a more luxurious choice for me. When I asked if there was a dehumidifier to help with the dampness, I returned that evening to find I’d been given a humidifier. I confess I found it funny, and did not bother with trying to get the correct machine. I suspect fewer soft furnishings used during the next remodel (tile rather than carpet, blinds rather than curtains, and paint rather than wallpaper) would help. Other than that, and a little black mold around the edge of the sink interior, it was a charming hotel.

I have two complaints. The beds are Rick hard. The first two nights I awoke with back, hip pain. The 3-4 nights I used two pillows to sleep in then I used extra towels to prop up the pillow for my head. Also the pillows are feather and upon putting your head on them they pancake. Not good. They should have two synthetic filling pillows and 2 feather in each room.
Then my other major complaint is the only two elevators that go from ground floor to all floors are awful. You push the button on floor five and it does not light up so you must wait for someone downstairs to come to floor 5 for the door to open!!!!! I had to call the front desk to tell them I’ve waited over 5 min and the elevator is not coming.
Please fix your issues.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The location was great, in close proximity to the promenade, lots of restaurants and maybe 6 minutes walking from a subway station. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. The pool was nice. The gym was decent with enough equipment to get your workout in. The dry sauna was amazing. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of variety, both Chinese and Western options. Whenever I return to Hong Kong I will definitely consider staying here again.

This is a 5 star hotel and very luxurious. Rooms were beautiful and clean. There are several restaurants located within the hotel to choose from as well as local restaurants nearby. The train station entrance is about a 10 minute walk which very convenient to get around. The ferry boats were also walking distance. We would stay here again especially if the price was a bargain.

This is literally a 5-star type hotel. It is super clean, the amenities are top-notch (Do NOT forget to visit the Sky Garden and rooftop pool. We did not bring swimwear and it was a tad cold in the mornings so we could not have a dip, but the view of the harbour was incredible from the rooftop.) and the staff is highly professional. We were upgraded to a much bigger, corner suite because of my Expedia membership. As a family of 3 with a teenage daughter, this hotel exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Hong Kong in the future. Note that this hotel is nearer to the airport and train stations so very easy to get around. You can even take the train (2 transfers) to Sunnybay station going to Disneyland.

I loved my time at the Royal Garden. The staff were excellent - Even the typhoon didn't disrupt the 5 Star service.
My only comment would be for the hotel to change the piano background music that is played on a loop! Parts of the piano recital become quite loud, and it sounds like a cat is running up and down the keyboard! Perhaps some soothing traditional flute music would be better.

My only complaint is that I upgraded my room to the club floor only to find that the club did not open at 8am any more. In the past I was able to get coffee and a snake at the club in the morning before I left the hotel. This year the club did not open until 10am. That didn't work for me. I was already gone for the day. If you are on a business trip and have paid for the club floor in the past beware that they offer much more limited service than before.
In the future I won't pay the extra price for the club floor.
My only complaint is that I upgraded my room to the club floor only to find that the club did not open at 8am any more. Very clean property. Staff welcoming & lots of them. Pool refreshing after a hot humid day sightseeing. Buffet breakfast good with lots of options. Didn’t dine at any of the other restaurants in the hotel.

We loved our stay at the Royal Garden. A beautiful hotel with a great buffet breakfast. The Tower rooms with a view, are spacious and provide a great view of the city and pool area. The roof top pool is fantastic! Part of our package included the Crown Lounge which I can highly recommend. This provided us with a High Tea in the afternoon and then drinks and yummy nibbles in the early evening. The staff were excellent, especially Lane and Nora, being very attentive to our needs. You can easily walk to the Promenade from here. We highly recommend this hotel

Trimshatsui east is where the prestige hotels located. Royal Gardens was, at one time, a top rated hotel in Hong Kong. The present condition of the hotel is a bit tire. However, the present price is more affordable than it used to be.

Great location and service. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were looking a little tired and there were scuffs on some of the furniture. However the bed was very comfortable and we loved having the filtered tap for drinking water.
