This hotel was lovely. Situated on a cliffside with access to a part sand/part rocky beach, it provided a lovely oasis. There was plenty of greenspace to relax and watch the sunset. The pool was refreshing, but often crowded. The restaurant had amazing food, particularly for vegetarians. And prices were very good. The service was a little slow and not clearly organized, but the staff were all kind and helpful when asked. We stayed in a family room which was clean and comfortable, but did not have a balcony. If the opportunity arose, we would happily return to Bambuda Santa Catalina.

You definitely do not want to do a garden view room as you're just looking at a tennis court and a basketball court that have been somewhat abandoned.

There are a few amenities in the room, no refrigerator, hair dryer or coffee maker. For hotels at this price, those are some of the things I believe should be included.

Clean room, a/c cold, nice grounds. Oceanfront but with no beach. Restaurant was fair, they did this “Family Night” every night which meant no ordering from the menu, (making it sound like it was a social event which it most certainly was not ). Staff very friendly but the guests were all ignorant and crabby… get a life you young folks and try smiling!

The pool was great and they had a large common room with air conditioning and games etc. A pool table but not in the aircon.
The room was listed as 27 square meters, maybe it was but if so, nfortunately, probably 15 of those were bathroom. The room lights were dim and often didn’t work. The restaurant food was not very good and other restaurants were quite a far walk. The keys and gravel ares (carry your luggage) were a pain. There was no cold drinking water and nowhere to cool water. You couldn’t even buy it, you had to pester the already overburdened staff for ice. To have the posted dinner options you had to let them know at some undetermined time. The staff had minimal English and seemed very poorly trained. They had to search a computer screen to submit what you ordered. Everything went slowly. The best breakfast was the granola with fruit and yogurt. The final day I had cold poached eggs with cold bacon and cold toast. The butter and fruit were warm.
When we needed assistance it was laborious and throughout they were texting asking how they were doing.
The wifi was good.
The parking lot was chaotic if you were walking or driving.

A lovely 5 night stay in the flagship room at Bambuda resort. Stunning grounds with a 180 degree ocean view. Staff were super pleasant and helpful. Restaurant is good especially breakfast. We had our daughter with us and her dog, Bruno with us and he enjoyed his stay as well ❤️

Great stay, awesome staff, good food and drink options, clean, beautiful views, convenient location.
The only thing I would note is that the property isn't directly on a sandy beach like I thought it would be from the photos... it's a 3 minute walk :)

Amazing stay in Santa Catalina

We had an amazing stay. It was low season, so the hotel was not that crowded. The service of the staff was beyond my expectations.
We included the breakfasts on our reservation and all options I had for the three days were awesome. Best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had.
The room was comfy, I knew we were just coming back to sleep as we had many day trips booked.
I fully recomend staying here, the cabanas were so beautiful.

This was a very quaint hotel located in a beautiful area. The view of the ocean was stunning and the decor was really nice. The pool was perfect with lots of areas to sit and chill. The pool deck had nice loungers but the only thing missing was umbrellas for shade. Hopefully some will be added since this hotel only recently opened. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and of high quality. This is our second stay at a Bambuda property in Panama and would stay again at either one. This was a really nice property.

Definitely, one of the best choices to stay in Santa Catalina.

I would not recommend this hotel over others in the area. We felt they were overcharging for many amenities over what other hotels charge. And the food was substandard with small proportions. On top of all that the beach fronting the hotel was rocky and unsightly. If you must come to Santa Catalina then another cheaper alternative is the better choice

Recomiendo este lugar porque es placentero. La vista de la playa es hermosa la habitación, cuando entras huele a limpio, es ordenada y confortable. El staff o personal que te atiende desde el que te cocina quien limpia, todos son muy amables. Un agradecimiento a Guille, el manager, nos hizo sentir como en casa. Todos los muchachos y chicas que atienden, siempre cordiales y atentos. Algunas veces, la gente hace al lugar, en este caso se cumple totalmente.

Sserie WhatsApp de lhotel. Bref sejour mitigé. Chambre propre et bien aménagée. En revanche tres bruyante. Extérieurs tres décevants. Aucun paradols et transats en nombre tres limités. Plutot un bar de piscine qu une piscine ou il est impossible de nager.
Accueil à la réception catastrophique. Par ailleurs notre statut expédia gold na pas été pris en compte malgré 2 réclamations une à loral et un via lamessa

Beautiful hotel but not very welcoming

Beautiful hotel but staff can be more welcoming. The female staff was incredibly friendly and warm, while the male staff was much less friendly. The male waiter mentioned happy hour but didnt bother to explain that this only included sodas and 1 cocktail which made it feel like a scam. We left the key to have our room cleaned but this wasnt done upon return. We had higher expectations for a rather expensive stay.

Hôtel propre mais un peu cher

Hôtel classique dans l’ensemble. l’espace bar et restaurant est sympathique mais pas un choix important en termes de plats surtout le soir.
Barman pas très agréable contrairement aux serveuses.
La piscine mériterait d’être un peu mieux entretenue. Clientèle très jeune qui se la raconte et qui, finalement, reste dans son coin, donc hotel pas si convivial que ça au final.

Muy buen hotel, con un escenario perfecto. Parking, buen wifi. Desayuno a la carta correcto. Como notas negativas, el personal es correcto, pero va un poco despistado. En la habitacion faltan pequeños detalles de mantenimiento y sobretodo la limpieza de la piscina debería mejorarse, porque a la tarde está llena de crema de los clientes
