The rooms were comfortable, clean and charming. Siena and Valentina were fantastic in their hospitality. So much so that we cancelled reservations elsewhere for the second part of our trip through Rome to stay at the Galatea Hotel. They made us feel welcome and warm. We hope to visit again soon.

The staff here were lovely, and happy to go the extra mile to help out. There were tons of extras that guests could make use of and they offered tours and deals at local places. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. It was a little noisy during the day, but quietened up nicely at night. Great handy location.

Amazing hotel very well located. Close to major Roman monuments. The room was cleaned and it was super quiet. But the best part is the staff! 10/10 all the staff were super friendly gave us options for local restaurants and tips for how to move in the city. We will come back for sure! Also the breakfast was very good, scrambled eggs, various juices, bread, sweets and very good cappuccino!

Centrally located for walking around sights of Rome. Friendly helpful staff.
We arrived early and were able to leave our bags and when we checked in at two the bags had been put in our room. Had an afternoon flight and they looked after our bags after we checked out so we could explore.
Nice bathroom.
Only negative is traffic noise, but being Rome I think its something you can't escape. We stayed three nights and it was great.

What an amazing experience at Boutique Hotel Galatea. A terrific property in close proximity to all the major Rome monuments and attractions, but outside the chaos of the city. The staff at the hotel were superb. They communicated with us via WhatsApp before the trip often, and were quick and available to answer questions we had during our stay. Camille made our stay extra special, helping to coordinate a surprise in our room and she was patient with us as few practiced our Italian. We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

Super easy to walk to all main attractions. Rome was over 120 degrees and the room AC was the coldest air conditioning we had in our whole 3 weeks of Europe. Highly recommend for a couple day stay or quick trip to Rome. Staff was super friendly and helpful in making us feel welcomed. Our main concern was storing our 4 bags when we arrived and the staff took good care of our luggage and already had the bags in our room upon our return.

This hotel was hard to find at first, especially because it’s on the 3rd floor of a building on a quiet street. Thankfully our taxi driver was able to find it and drive us right up to the front gate, and we were able to figure out to take the (small) elevator to the 3rd floor. There are gates that lock after on the outside of the building in the evening, which is nice and reassuring for safety. The hotel room was lovely, simple, comfortable and well appointed. The room had a small mini fridge with items available for purchase. There was enough room in there for us to put our water bottles. The bathroom was a nice size with everything in good working order. The shower was small but had great water pressure and no worries about not enough hot water. The only thing to note is that the AC didn’t get as cool as we hoped that it would. Although it allows you to toggle it down to 16 degrees Celsius, it only ever got down to 26 degrees, which was pretty warm but compared to the hot July weather outside, it was ok. We asked the front desk and were told that the AC was working, so we just figured that we must be used to colder temps and dealt with it. Thankfully we happened to have a small USB travel fan, which helped. Still a nice hotel and would recommend it, especially because it had a great location with most sites so easily walkable and because the staff there was so helpful and friendly.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, they gave great recommendations and helped us out with the unexpected travel issues that always seem to come up. The hotel and rooms are great, newly designed, the only problem is you have to access a shared building to get to the hotel in the 3rd floor, the courtyard seems to be used for trash for the building and you may encounter neighbors smoking when going in, besides that this hotel is a great stay and would definitively come back, the are where is located is great and its close to public transportantion and very close to Termini station where you have to go when arriving from Fumicino.

Good value Hotel

I want to mention: The people working at the Hotel are exceptionally kind, helpful and always have a smile on their face. Room was clean and okay, you might have some small sound coming from outside or the breakfast tables, but it is manageable.

Breakfast has a little bit for every one - sweets, bread, some cheese, some meet, eggs, fruits with some of them rotating every day.

Also location was excellent, we were able to walk to every main attraction witht he Vatican being the furthest away approx. 1H of walking.

Great little boutique hotel in a great location

Stayed here with a friend for a few nights on a city break to Rome. Excellent location with most main attractions and the main train station being about 15 minutes walk away and the Vatican about a 30 minute walk.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but tasty and sets you up well for the day. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends and family.

Only thing worth noting is that it's on the third floor and the lift up is small. No problem for me, but my friend chose to walk up because she doesn't like small spaces!

Hotel is sharing with a resident building. There is a gate closing @ 11pm nightly which is very inconvenienced. Front desk is slow and closed @ 11pm.
It is not an idea hotel whatsoever. This is more like a residential apartment area.
Do not recommend anyone staying there - Don’t know how you can call it VIP ????

Hotel Boutique Galatea is a lovely hotel in a great location for the sites, with the majority in walking distance. Staff on reception are very helpful and have good recommendations for food/drink etc.

Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast has a good mix of items.

The hotel was a little confusing to get into initially. There is an intercom to the left of the entrance gates which you need to use to contact reception for check in.

The hotel is part of a group (B.Zar Hotel&Co) and provide free tours for guests every evening. The tour guide Virgilio is an amazing guide for each tour. Right amount of information and detail on the tours with local knowledge added as well. Virgilio also makes sure everyone has directions and a safe route back to their hotels at the end of the 21:00 walking tours.

Location of this hotel is perfect. Close to amazing restaurants and the colloseum!

Hotel room is a bit small and dark but you are never in your room much so isn't that big of a deal. Its still very clean and comfortable.

Reception staff were amazing! Our flight was delayed from Athens which means we missed our first night at the hotel. We had called and talked to a gentleman and he was so kind and helpful. He was very apologetic about what had happened, even though it of course wasn't their fault and he made sure everything was sorted for the next day and was there to greet us in the morning.

The only complaint I would have would be that the laundry service was extremely expensive.... Only washed a few items and it came to $72 euros. They changed two of my small rompers from skirt to suit price which was double at 15 euros each. I could have just purchased some new clothes at that cost. They do show pricing up front so I know a small mistake on my part. I was tired and i guess just wasnt paying too much attention. Its just not a 5* hotel so pricing seems a bit outrageous.

Other than that, it was a great stay and would highly recommend staying here!

Best stay in 14 days! What a group of friendly staff! Everyone was helpful and supportive each and every day of our 4 day visit. They even packed us breakfast for our tour when we left early and couldn’t eat breakfast at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel was really great and Davide who served us, gave great idea’s and suggestions for the day, places to see and restaurants to try out.

This was a great experience. The hotel has a couple of floors in a building off the main avenue. It is very well appointed and comfortable. The staff has been amazing, helpful and supportive and they had personalized interactions with us. The location is very central by foot or bus. The only downside is that the doors are not soundproof and I think depending on where your room is, breakfast can become a problem. From the city, very quiet but not internally to the building. If you are an early bird, i think you can be perfectly fine with such room ! I still recommend the location, but wanted to give a bit of warning to the fellow travelers.

This boutique hotel has everything you need for a great stay. Although the room was very small, we did have a balcony and everything necessary for a comfortable few nights in Rome. Breakfast was consistent every morning and they ask you to book a time slot to prevent overcrowding. The staff was incredible and helpful with coordinating taxis, laundry services, and anything else we needed. There is a small elevator in the building for anyone with mobility concerns. While this is slightly out of the target area for tourists in Rome, it’s highly walkable and accessible to get everywhere you need to go. We very much enjoyed our stay

We just needed a place to stay for 1 night. This was OK for that but I wouldn't pick it again for a longer trip. The location is OK, kinda far to walk to/from train station. The room was very small but clean. Nice to have AC in the room. It was difficult for us to find the entrance from the street but a nearby restaurant employee helped us in the gate as it was locked. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was great. But I think there are better choices out there.

I went to Rome for a solo trip and Boutique Hotel Galatea was a dream. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave great restaurant and activity recommendations, connected me to a series of free experiences through the hotel, and were lovely to chat with each morning during breakfast. Davide and Resel were especially lovely. They make the best cappuccinos :)

With countless other 'boutique' hotels around, avoid this ones. The place does not honor the expedia VIP perks... none, not even the easy ones. Aditionally, they list they offer free bottled water and that is not true either. The breakfast is not worth the 12E they charge some, so avoid it and eat around the block, plenty of other options. The room was clean and tidy, but it was not cleaned the day that I left the 'make up room' sign and had to get towels from the reception girl... that spoke no English, luckily we both speak Spanish. All in all, quite disappointing experience, from a hotel that clearly believes customers are a one-time visitor. I will certianly not return and will not recommend to others.
