The room was functional but without charm. No drawers for storage, no doors on the closet. The desk staff (except for one man) were the rudest I've encountered in a long time. They treated me as if they were my boss: back-talked to me, could not care less about making my stay a pleasant one. Is this Italian sexism toward a single woman -- by women? The included breakfast was fine and the woman who managed it was very pleasant. Perhaps she could give those two clerks (one brunette, one blonde) some tips.

I was extremely happy staying in the property as I was well taken care of. The rooms are clean with everything new including the towels. The air conditioner worked exceptionally well given that most European hotels pay less attention to cooling. There is a lot of open space inside the property giving it a homely vibe.
The location is the best. I took the express train from the MXP airport to Cadorna station and washed walked to the hotel, just 7 minutes from the station. The Duomo is less than 10 minutes from the hotel. There are restaurants and shops all around the hotel. The hotel is very quiet as it is located in a alley.
I will stay there again if I return to Milan again.

We are so pleased with our stay at Hotel Milano Castello. Staff, from front desk, housekeeping, food service and the bar were outstsnding. The hotel was clean. It is in a great location to get to all the sites and is in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood. The rooms are decent size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of food. My only complaint is there wasn't any facial tissue, i have allergies and it would have been nice to have facial tissue.

This small hotel is in a perfect location, walking distance to all local amenities. The hotel is spotless. We booked the Duomo Suite, which is on the main level, and has a private patio area. The suite is spacious, quiet, with a large, white bathroom, two TVs and a sofa. They restock the fridge with complimentary soft drinks daily. The continental breakfast was great with lots of options, although they did not have salads; we got complimentary cappuccinos and espressos by request too. Hotel location was very central, within walking distance of all downtown attractions - La Scala, Duomo, Castello Sforzesco (hence the name of the hotel), The Last Supper painting, also lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby, including a spectacular Starbucks Reserve. Staff was welcoming and spoke good English too. Price for the suite was a little high for February, but this was during the Olympics and the location and amenities were worth it for us. We enjoyed our stay in Milan in great part also due to this lovely hotel.

We were upgraded to a suite room which was nice, however, the room smelled like it used to be a smoker room at some point. The facilities are fairly older and room outdated. The bed was hard and not very comfortable. Staff was super nice and the location excellent. Breakfast was decent with tasty pastries.

What at first seems like a no frills hotel will delight you. Located on a small street that feeds into an ideal location a stone’s throw from the duomo and selfie heaven of you’re into that. The staff is courteous and efficient. The room itself is spartan. But it was meticulously clean and the hot water in the shower is infinite. Breakfast is more than just bread and cheese. When I had to stay up for a call on US pacific time business hours, the staff supplied me with bottomless excellent coffee and refused to charge me.

The hotel common areas were beautiful, including an open air atrium, and a patio behind the bar. The location was amazing for our first time visit to Milan, with most of the sights we wanted to see within 6-12 minutes. But the real standout here was the staff! The women at the reception desk were so friendly, personable, and helpful. Taxis, restaurant suggestions, storing our bags, and warm smiles. We felt so welcome, and I’m sure you will be too!

Great location down a quaint and quiet cobblestone street but yet just steps away from the Duomo, great restaurants and high end shopping! The room was immaculate. Free breakfast and cocktail were included. The front staff Eugenio, Amanda and Sandra were absolutely delightful, helpful and joyful people. They seemed to be genuinely excited for us to discover their beautiful city. I can’t say enough great things about this boutique hotel! The room we had was large - think it was for disabled but beautifully set up on ground floor with large bathroom/shower. Free water/cold drinks in fridge.
