There was a dead spider on my bed. There’s also no cell phone service at all in this town. They have WiFi. Everything closes at 8pm or earlier. Easy room access. Check in and check out were very easy. Room was clean for the most part and beds were somewhat comfortable.

I arrived at this motel in the middle of winter - very much out of season - to find it in the middle of being remodelled, so there was no office or any staff present on my arrival. Actually it looked as if it might be closed, and there was no key out for me to do self check-in as explained with the booking. However, I found a bell to ring and after just a few minutes a nice man came down and gave me my key. The room itself was clean and spacious, with a very comfy bed, kitchenette and plenty of hot water for a shower in the morning. Plus the heating was quite efficient so I managed to warm the room up despite the extremely cold temps outside in Jan at this altitude! I rated it Good not Excellent due to the slightly quirky check-in.

We had a \"Senior\" suite, I believe. It was nice and clean but a little cramped for table space. Beds were really great! Best motel bed yet. The plates and bowls were a fail though. They are plastic and can't be used in the microwave. It even says \"do not use in microwave\" on the bottom of them. Please replace with ceramics. Very interested to see how the front restoration turns out.

Overall good. I had stayed there before and got a spacious room with bath. I need a bath after long walks to take care of my back. the booking system did not seem to specify that I had booked a room with a bath and not a shower. I asked to change. The front desk person was picky about it and told me there were no vacancies. It seems that a few more towels could be added to the room, a box of kleenex and better shower products. They were cheap.

You know I really want to give this Motel a better rating. It was quaint, clean, room had everything we needed, My only issue was the bed was really REALLY FIRM! If you love super firm you will love this place. There’s no staff or check in. Your key is at the entrance to the property on a bulletin board with your name on it in an envelope with your receipt and everything you need to know. I just could get a good nights sleep because the bed was so firm. So, I personally have to give it the rating I did, but with a detailed explanation so you know it’s not because of a problem, just my preference. Thanks!

The location is very convenient to Yosemite and the lakes. The view of Mono Lake across the highway is truly wonderful in the late afternoon/evening. The October Super Moon over the lake was spectacular.
The updates to this vintage motel are fine, the shower works well, and it is very well maintained and clean.
Check in was fine though I never saw a human being.
It is, however, the noisiest place I have ever experienced. The noise from the cars zooming by on US 395 sounds like jet planes taking off. There are earplugs on the nightstand next to the bed which is always a bad sign.

The room was WONDERFUL! Nice large room with comfortable beds.

Parking was the only downside. We had to park on the street, but it was still close to the room. You can hear the truck noise but it wasn't bad.

Those trucks must be blasting through after dark! They do provide you with earplugs. Self-serve check-in, no contact with staff so I can’t rate them.

The motel has a window AC unit installed in such a way the window stays wide open so noise directly comes into the room. The motel is right off US 395 highway and lots of traffic go by even at night. It is impossible to have a good night sleep!!! I don’t recommend it.

Such a charming little hotel. Loved the keys being on the wall and not having to check in or out with a person. We stayed in a room on the backside and never heard a sound from outside or the people in other rooms. The room had new carpet, bedding was nice, and the room was clean. Towels were so fresh, not like the big chains. Loved staying here, would stay again!!

This place was really small - only few rooms, but booked solid that day. The rooms are very small so not a lot of space to spread out our luggage. There was also no one at the reception and our keys were left in an envelope outside the reception. It worked and the bed was comfy, so overall a good stay.

Great Jumping-off Spot for Yosemite

Older motel but well maintained. Comfortable room with microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Earplugs were also provided because the motel is right on the highway. All the arrangements were made electronically so I never made human contact with anyone, but everything went well and we had no issues (there was a way to contact someone if needed). The only shortcoming for this location is parking; we ended up parking in front in what ordinarily would have been the place to park while checking in; it turns out that is a parking space now.

Check in/out was a little weird. We never interacted with anyone for our one night stay. Key with instructions were in an envelope with my name on it on a clipboard. So anyone could have taken any envelope. Drop off was putting a key in an unsecured mailbox. The location was the best part of the stay with convenience to Yosemite. If you’re just looking to rest your head for the night, it will do the job.

This property has a lot to offer despite its outside appearance and some oddities with check in. There is no onsite office. Our room key was on a clip board in an envelope with our name on it tagged to the side of the building with other folks in the same location. The room however was very clean and looks like it had a recent make over. It had a nice counter area with a refrigerator and microwave. It was in a quiet location within easy walking of the local shops and the Mono Lake Association. The area was quiet and felt safe. There are no amenities that I am aware of but given other options in the area this one worked for us. My partner did not love the TV choices and was a bit frustrated by the lack of channels.

This hotel was super clean and cute. (Thank you Maria.) The beds were comfortable. The sink is not in the bathroom which is a little uncomfortable with brushing your teeth with friends. The worst thing about our stay was no heat!!! And it was down in the 40's with rain. We froze. The pilot light had not been lit yet we guessed. And being right on the highway it is super loud with traffic. They do have ear plugs if needed. I am sure the few hotels on that highway are like that.

The room was clean, and had a comfortable bed. This room was a great deal among more pricey options. If you are visiting Yosemite, you won't be in the room much anyway, so all you need is cleanliness and safety. There was a noisy neighbor, and I had to wait until morning to have staff talk to him.Service is not immediate, so if there is a problem in the middle of the night, it's going to have to wait until morning.

Although its architecture and layout makes it looks
like a old seedy motel from the exterior, we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to what appeared to be a recently renovated room. It even had a fresh paint smell. The furniture, linens, & fixtures are modern and the room was very clean.
The bed was comfortable and the ceiling fan made for a good night’s sleep. Within a half block is a good breakfast restaurant, decent but pricy bbq, and a minimart. The town doesn’t have much else to offer but the sunset was gorgeous over mono lake and can be seen from the parking lot.
The downsides were the highway noise though traffic greatly diminished between 11pm-7am. (We couldn’t hear the other guests unless they were talking outside the room. )We wish there were EV chargers.

Otherwise this motel was a great find. We would stay here again.

The remodel of this hotel is great. I stayed here as a child and was sad to see it closed down for awhile. The new owners have done a beautiful job at making things so clean and cozy. I stayed in a room directly next to Highway 395, but even with the traffic there, I slept really well. I did use ear plugs, which helped.

The property is very small; seven rooms and six parking spots. It worked out for me because I was always able to find a spot to park. The room is spacious and so is the bathroom. The refrigerator worked great. And there was housekeeping service daily, which I did not expect since Covid and most properties no longer do that daily service. Downside: it would have been nice to know ahead of time that none of the rooms have air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan above the bed and a desk fan on the desk, but it's 2025 and I didn't realize there were still motel properties without AC. Leaving your window open all night means you'll listen to the semi trucks roaring through town all night long.

I must admit I was a little skeptical when I arrived. The motel is obviously very old. We grabbed our key from the bulletin board, no onsite office. Found the room around back, parallel parked in front of the door. Very pleasantly surprised once I went inside. It was updated with a cute kitchenette, nice beds. The bathroom could use more shelves or towel bars. Besides that it was perfect for our stay.

My room's door was 6 inches from the public sidewalk, adjacent to a busy highway, and it did not even close properly. No air-conditioning, no front desk (place is owned by the same people as another motel down the street, so you have to go there for help, which they are unwilling to give). They just put your key on a outdoor wall with your name on it; thatls check in. Not safe!! Don't stay here!!

This place was cute and newly remodeled so I had high hopes. Sadly I can't give it a good review because they have no A/C, in the summer! We were in Yosemite camping all weekend and were really looking forward to staying in a nice cool hotel, but it was so hot (especially after showering) that we could hardly sleep. Please be upfront with your customers about not having A/C! We would not have stayed here if that were the case. IF they had A/C I would have rated 4 stars

They put us in Room #1 - closest to the highway and wow, the trucks going by all night were super loud. Plus the room didn’t have any AC and it was very hot in there and it was super small. They should not be renting this room. The other rooms look nicely decorated and are probably quieter.

The motel overall was a nice place to stay. It was very clean and has been renovated. The road noise was significant especially since our windows needed to remain open since there was no air conditioning. Our stay was in the middle of July and our room was upwards of 80 degrees when we arrived and very stuffy. It only got worse after showering as there was no bathroom fan. I am 8 months pregnant and we had our one year old with us. After being in the park all day, we were looking forward to a comfortable evening to relax and were surprised to find no air conditioning. It felt much better outside than it did in our room.

Look- This is a quick in/quick out place to stay. No frills, no extras. Getting in with self registration was quick and easy. Getting out was equally so. The room we had did not have shades on the east facing windows so we were in bright light by 5:00 am. Otherwise, it was a place to stay and then move on.

The room details on the booking site clearly listed a stovetop, kitchenware, and other kitchen equipment. However, none of these were actually provided in the room.
When I raised this with the staff, they insisted that my room type was never supposed to include those amenities and claimed that I had simply booked the wrong room.
After returning home, I double-checked the booking site and confirmed that the room I booked did, in fact, list all of those kitchen-related items.

The property is fine if you are looking a quick overnight stay on 395 next to Yosemite park exit. The pictures show common areas and coffee and other amenities which is truly not available.

The room was not air conditioned and also did not have a ceiling fan; the provided tower fan didn’t serve the purpose on a hot summer night.
