Fantastic experience all around! Would definitely stay here again.
Cindy
The TV controller was all messed up. I had to turn it off and on by flipping switch on the surge protector. AC was hard to regulate. It was cool or it wasn’t. Seemed very expensive for what we got.
Mardi
This hotel was very nice, clean, and quiet. The room was beautiful.
Candelaria
It has everything we needed for our stay.
Matt
Well situated, clean and convenient, same as previous visits.

AC is not making it cold as supposed to, and the fan automatically turns off even though you put it on onThere is no lobby, small water $6.
Lori
The room was clean spacious and comfortable. The bed was great!!
Molly
We checked in fairly late, but it was comfortable and clean. Halls and elevator weren’t incredibly clean, but the room was, which was more important to me. Beds were comfortable.
Laura
This hotel feels so relaxed and homey! Our room felt very high end and staff was very helpful. Convenient location and easy walk to restaurants and entertainment…Highly recommend!!
Nikeda
We showed up and entered the room and as soon as we opened the door, extreme smells of animal were present, and even after they came to clean the room, it still smelled like a wet, dirty dog. The bedding as well as the room in general smelled like dog dander. The staff was amazing and tried to come and clean the room on spot and make it better, but the smell was so strong. We had to open the windows and the door and still could not air it out. After informing us that the previous guest was there for a month with a large dog and took about a week to try and clean. We had to cancel the reservation as we could not endure the mal odorous dog scent. The room otherwise would have been ok and the staff was hands down amazing trying to accommodate us. The two ladies in the front that I can’t recall their names now but very helpful even though it couldn’t be resolved. Currently working in a refund
Kathy
Very nice quiet place to stay. Close to shopping food and fuel.
Holly B
Definitely would stay there again
Sarah
Amazing stay per usual!
Amy
It’s quiet and peaceful there. A perfect place for a restful getaway.
Ashley
Great hotel in the cutest town. Conveniently located to all the things you want- food, coffee, entertainment- while still be quiet and peaceful. Staff was great! Room was excellent. Would definitely stay again!
Alyssa
Nice.

The hotel facility is excellent, new building and nice designed rooms. The service can be improved though. Our shower makes screaming sound, body wash was empty, and toilet paper was running out. If those can be fixed, I would definitely recommend this place.
Shawn
I’m bald, and there was HAIR all around my room, especially throughout BOTH beds, sheets and all! Do they even wash the bedding between stays? By the looks of it, NO. There was food or organic matter on the countertops and especially the night stands. I felt WE had to get out room cleaned before we could relax, so that’s what we did.
The staff is SSSLLLLOOOOOWWWW!! Check-in took 20 minutes with only 1 person in front of us. Then late in the evening, I walked someone to their car, brought my room key, but not my phone. Apparently the key decided not to work anymore and I was locked out of the hotel with no way to reach anyone. Thankfully, one of the staff heard me trying to get in and let me in. It took an additional 10-15 minutes for the staff person to make me a new key. I was falling asleep at the counter. Room was nice enough despite the view of the bird poop, but there is MASSIVE work to be done with the staff. It was the worst I’ve seen probably ever…and we stay at hotels quite a bit.

The property was clean. Arrived slightly early before check-in time and although not full at all, they wanted to charge me $25 for checking in early.
Karen
Parking was free and staff was very friendly and helpful
Lori
This is my fourth time staying here in two months and each time we were happy with the cleanliness and quiet area
Jordan

Nancy
This hotel is a gem! My second time here, rooms are clean, quiet and well furnished. Front desk staff very helpful. Walking distance to several restaurants. Highly recommend.
Norma
Room had spots on rug. Shower gave out shrieking, rumble sound. It 2nd room had same sound ehen shower on. Tv would go to wrong source everytime we turned off. Had to have staff keep coming to room. Soap dispenser would not work and hotel had NO bar soap. Had to shower with hair shampoo. Long black hair in shower. We all have short grey hair. This hotel was rated EXCELLENT. Only hotel so we were trapped. Take excellent rating off as not true. Owner took $20. Off
Dave
Good stay, clean and convenient.
Laura
Beautiful hotel. Room was very roomy, no onsite restaurants but several with in walking distance
Patrice
Bed was comfortable. It’s a dog friendly hotel, and the dog waste on the property was kept picked up. Room was generally but not always quiet. The AC fan was loud—I had to unplug it to make it stop. I could easily hear neighboring room’s showers going. The water sometimes got hot enough to shower and use the sink, but sometimes not. The hair dryer didn’t work. The management wouldn’t let me check out a day early with refund, blaming Expedia’s policies. (Someone else made the reservation through Expedia for me.) They apparently didn’t have a policy about loose dogs. Two unleashed dogs got out of a neighboring room, and they charged my leashed dog.
Tami
We had a great stay at the Prairie Hotel. From the coffee bar just outside the lobby to a very clean, spacious room, we couldn’t have asked for more for the price. While we were only there for one night and didn’t get to use all of the amenities, guests will appreciate the mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The hotel has an updated, modern vibe and the front desk employee was fabulous! We would stay there again!
Angie
We were here for 3 nights, the elevator was broken one of those days, the safe didn’t work, didn’t get house keeping and when I asked for it the next day, was told we are on the list for it that day, came back after another long day of wedding festivities and the only housekeeping we had was our towels had been replaced. Front desk staff was wonderful.
Lori
This is the second time we’ve stayed there and we’ve been totally satisfied.
Rhonda
Amazing place. Would stay here again.
Brandy
My dog was happy, we were so happy! Even our 3 month old baby was comfortable.
Gregory
No brainer when in Yelm area. They always rock it. Rooms are amazing
Xochitl
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very welcoming. The pet friendly room was clean and very spacious. It has everything you need, a nice closet, microwave, refrigerator and a comfy bed. The location is quiet and near restaurants. We will definitely come back and stay here on our next visit to the area.
W W
Only complaints I have are, no coffee in room and water pressure in shower was almost non existent. All staff that I interacted with were very welcoming and friendly. There are several restaurants within walking distance with a wide variety of food. Service at the uptown grill was horrible and we actually walked out. If I am ever in the Yelm area again, I would stay here.
Nolan
stayed here almost every weekend since november, great service and rooms, sadly no lobby for breakfast
Jayne
Room was spotless. The lobby attendant was so friendly and helpful. Will book again when i am in that area!
Steve
Great Stay Would come again!
CARMELIA
Rooms are always clean and staff very kind
Annie
Everything was great! Loved the staff. Rooms are clean. Definitely would recommend. Centrally located. Plenty of parking. Honesty, I've stayed here several times and keep coming back because I haven't found anything I dislike. I even had to do laundry once and dreaded it knowing another hotel I stayed at was $3.50 a load. And their laundry room was scary and dirty.(so I veto'd) But i went to check out this places and it was locked/secured and clean. And it was only $1.00 a load. Can't say enough good things actually. And usually I HATE motels!
Isaac
For being the only hotel in Yelm, they over-delivered on all fronts.
Lori
Great hotel! Clean convenient and spacious!
Carla
I had a very nice day at this adorable hotel, the staff was very helpful and kind and the rooms were huge with awesome beds
Kathleen
No amenities except hot coffee at entrance. No breakfast. Room gets cleaned every three days so no fresh cups and trash fills up fast. But you can put in a request for service. Front desk service was very nice.
Cheryl
Clean and convenient with basic amenities done right.
Steve
I miss the continental breakfast that the Prairie Hotel used to have.
Martin

David
When we booked the room payment was declined and then used another payment and the site resereved two rooms so i was charged for a no show fee on a room i had no idea was reserved. Booking through hotels only now. And hotel was not accommodating of the issue got there money. For the room toulet seat broken and problems flushing. If you stay more than a day they will not empty your garbage. Fan noisy and parr of the switch not working.
Troy
Toilet seat was broke they charged us for half of another room because of bad booking on there part and expedia and would not even think of helping us .ceiling fan was noisy. Place was not worth the price could have got same from a cheaper motel.
Jason
Good staff and nice area

It was a lovely property
Jill
I was absolutly lied to by Expedia. I was not booked into a pet room. They had none with a king bed left. They did have a queen available. Nor was I told by Expedia that there was an adfitional $25 charge per night for our dog. Already bring herre we had no choice. I should have known better. This was not the 1st time I have been sorely disappointed in a booking agent. I know now. I will let everyone that asks know too.My app has been deleted. Jill Berry

Tricia
Clean and comfortable. Good strong coffee! Didn’t know we had to request room service by 11:00 am.
Susan
Very nice room with comfortable bed and good pillows. We had a great night’s rest before continuing our journey. Also, decent eating spots nearby. Would definitely recommend.
Michael
A pleasant surprise.
This little hotel is an oasis on the doorstep of Mt. Rainier. The chamber has it going on, as the hotel is adjacent to the newly built dinner theater. The staff is friendly, the location is great and the rooms are clean, the location is quiet.
Michael
Best place in Yelm and for an hour around it.
this place was extremely comfortable and accommodating, and we really enjoyed our stay there. I only wish it was in Olympia not Yelm because we are not in Yelm very long. The quality of the room is such that driving out of the way to stay is worth it.

I chose this location as a halfway point between Mt Rainier NP and SeaTac and for that purpose, it worked out well. The property was clean and quiet. Check in was wonky though; I purchased through Expedia and when the check in guy mentioned I was a local, we figured out my information wasn’t correct. They didn’t have my information in the system and essentially had to re-enter my address, phone and email. And then when we got into the room, there was a card in the bed welcoming ‘David’ and neither myself nor my husband are named David. I can only assume David got a room with a card welcoming me. But checkin took 10 minutes longer than it should have. And please note that there is not a coffee maker in the room; they do have coffee available at all times just outside the lobby but it’s pretty standard. Don’t miss Bertoglios for pizza. And we did the 507 taproom and used the room card for 10% off.
Paul
Beautiful, clean & spacious room. Easy walk to restaurants. Hot coffee in the lobby all day.
David
We stayed two nights at the Prairie Hotel in a 3rd floor room with a view of Mt. Rainier. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable, and we slept well in the beds. The manager at the front desk was very helpful and gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants and bicycle rentals (we were in town to ride the scenic Chehalis Western and Yelm-Tenino bike trails).
Luci
Clean nice in a small cute town. Close to wedding venue
Daleana
Love it
We loved our stay! The only thing I think would have made it an excellent stay is if there was coffee in the rooms.. even if it was instant 😁

It is a great hotel with excellent condition and services. Close enough to Mt Rainier NP. Very clean and spacious room. Would definitely stay again in the future. I checked in at the night of Aug 11th, the front desk gentleman (from Hawaii) was so friendly and welcoming. I should have asked his name.

A Hidden Gem
We stayed here on a last minute (same-day) booking and we were very pleasantly surprised. The room here is as good or better than any room that I've ever stayed in. On the 3rd floor there are high, vaulted ceilings, classy artwork and decor, and everything was clean and comfortable. On top of that, we received a hand written note to welcome us for our stay (how many hotels do that?). And also, we had a glorious view of Mount Rainier out our window.
Janaki
A nice hotel to stay if you want to spend the following day at Mount Rainer. It takes around one hour to get to the entrance.
Jacob
Very nice staff, check in was quick and easy.
