We had only one night to stay in this hotel that seemed to be a five star in old days on our way back to Rome. Our room was very clean and spacious with a very nice view of the sea. I also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool. The staff were also very nice and helpful. the breakfast was very limited and I think it was because not many people were staying at our time. By the way there was a pizzeria restaurant close by called Bambu. Their food was excellent

Loved the pool. Parking was great and easy. Location was easy to find. Staff were helpful.
Showers were very small. Bathrooms smelled a bit - plumbing problems perhaps need fixing.
Hotel is a bit dated and needs a renovation.

Bren and Tom in Italy

This Hotel offers an excellent stay and dining experience. The pool experience is unbelievable when waterfall / grotto effect is working.
The rooms are clean although the bath /shower could be upgraded. The maitre D should be recommended.

Beautiful hotel with a panoramic view of Sicily

The facility and staff were so awesome, that we stayed an extra night.

The proximity to the mountaintop village of Palmi was a plus. Be sure to visit it when staying at this hotel.

Very Good Hotel

I very much enjoyed my stay and this luxury hotel in late September, very few guests so I was the only one using an excellent pool. Ate in a small restaurant/ hotel on the beach and was one of just three customers to enjoy a good dinner and spectacular sunset over the see with Scicily and it's island clearly seen against the red sky.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities. The entelman on reception was friendly and welcoming, spoke fluent english and helpful. Did not get clear reception with wifi in the rooms so had to be in common areas to use it. The restaurant, pool are and te balcony overlooking the clean really made it fell like a 5 star resort. The rooms were ok but they did have a musty smell about them other than that great experience.

Superb hotel in strange location

This is a really top hotel but the surrounding town is very down at heel. The hotel is rather hard to find and we arrived on a Sunday when there was a wedding reception on , so very busy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food at night in restaurant was very good but limited menu, not expensive. Breakfast was not quite up to the usual standard but OK. Good size room but hard bed. Room well equipped for Italy. Pool is fantastic. Good size secure carpark with 24 hour surveillance.

Terribile, sembra l’hotel di “Shining”. Tutto fermo agli anni 70, ambienti molto grandi è molto vuoti, come abbandonati. Colazione scarsa senza buffet, posate sporche e rovinate (coltelli anneriti). Ha l’aria di un posto che sta per chiudere; o di una scena di un film Horror.
Il personale di poche parole, sembra rassegnato.
Assolutamente da evitare.

Arrivati, abbiamo subito chiesto il cambio camera, perché il terzo letto (fatto da un divano letto) si presentava rotto e con la tappezzeria strappata e inoltre molto corto. L’immobile Al tempo dell’inaugurazione sarà stato molto bello, ma adesso decadente, con evidenti problemi di infissi interni e esterni. Le camere con mobilia obsoleta è rotta. Il bagno con una cabina doccia delle dimensioni di una vecchia cabina telefonica. Colazione con poca scelta. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Da evitare.

Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia solo due notti, conoscevamo l'hotel da diversi anni. L'abbiamo trovato sempre migliorato e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Avevamo solo un piccolo bagno anche se c'era tutto. Ottima colazione. Sicuramente da consigliare perche' abbiamo visto anche un'ottima disponibilita' nel risolvere disguidi che hanno avuto altre persone.

Quarto espaçoso com vista maravilhosa para o mar. Piscina incrível. Para melhor aproveitamento do local, é importante saber que precisa sempre de um carro pra acessar a praia ou a bares e restaurantes. Estacionamento é gratuito. O café da manhã é bom, mas sem muitas opções. Unica coisa que deixou a desejar foi o wifi. Todos os dias precisava pegar uma nova senha e era só ficar meia hora sem mexer no celular que o wifi caía e as vezes nem conectava novamente com a tal senha que era fornecida no dia.

데스크직원은 친절했으나 어딘가 미흡한 부분은 있었던 호텔.. 하수구냄새도 나고 어딘가 어둡고 침침한 느낌 조식도 뭔가 부족했다. 수영장은 잘지었다. 하지만 그것도 내 마음에는 들지않았다.

Vor 20 Jahren sicherlich das Erste Haus am Platz, heute nur noch die Karikatur eines 4 Sterne Hotels.
Der Innenpool existiert nicht mehr, der Außenpool und die Anlagen schmutzig und ungepflegt, der Hotelparkplatz mit Zufahrt schlaglochübersät.
Die Massivholzmöbel im Zimmer vermackt und abgewohnt, das Bad verdreckt und aus allen Fugen wuchert großflächig der Schimmel. Der Jacuzzi hat schon vor Jahren die Funktion aufgegeben und kann nur noch als völlig verdreckte Duschtasse genutzt werden. Das Wlan ist langsam, dafür aber instabil und stürzt mehrfach täglich ab.
Das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse unter dem Durchschnitt, im internationalen Vergleich also erbärmlich. Die Speisenqualität im Restaurant geht von mäßig bis ungenießbar, einzig die Preise haben gehobenes Niveau.
Abgerundet wird das einzigartige Erlebnis dann durch diskoartige 90 dB Randale mitten in der Woche bis 2 Uhr Morgens.
Die Betreiber dieses Hotels sind anscheinend redlich und erfolgreich bemüht aus diesem Haus eine Ruine zu machen.

Disappointing

The hotel is a beautiful building, with wallpapered rooms, solid wooden furniture and a balcony in each room. Unfortunately, all this is ruined by the current running of the hotel.
The receptionist did not even greet us as we arrived, sopping wet from the rain. He assigned us to rooms that needed fixing, when over 90% of the hotel was empty. This makes us question whether those rooms were the best they had, or if reception was unaware of the issues. We were too intimidated to ask for a change of rooms.
The receptionist's attitude was completely contrasted by the maitre d's. He was helpful, polite and well-mannered.

Bez samochodu nie polecam. Do plaży 20 min pieszo. Sam hotel nawet zadbany, choć nazwał bym go nie hotelem tylko salą weselną z pokojami. Dominowały tam CODZIENNIE wesela.
Przyjemy basen (choć wodospad hałasuje), piękny widok na morze i Sycylię w oddali.

Bellissima location, personale disponibile, piscina fantastica, dalle stanze con balcone si gode un tramonto spettacolare con visione delle isole Eolie. Pulizia delle stanze molto curata. Un posto dove tornerei volentieri. Consigliato vivamente!

Points positifs : environnement idyllique, magnifique vue sur la mer, la Sicile et les îles éoliennes.
Bon rapport qualité/prix. Buffet petit déjeuner copieux.
Points négatifs : cet hôtel ne mérite plus ses 4 étoiles (mobilier vieillissant, la salle de bain aurait besoin d'être refaite (les marbres ont perdu leur brillance, sanitaires incrustés de calcaire, WC qui fuit... une minuscule cabine de douche il ne faut pas être trop grand ou trop corpulent pour pouvoir se doucher, les rideaux, le couvre lit, le mobilier, les tapisseries auraient besoin d'être changé....)
Souvent des manifestations : mariages, anniversaires... du coup le parking est plein, la piscine impraticable.
La connexion Wi-Fi (il faut s'enregistrer tout un processus assez complexe.....)
Le personnel est sympathique sauf une réceptionniste qui est très désagréable (elle n'est vraiment pas à sa place, à la limite de l'impolitesse, une mégère.....)

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam ontbijtpersoneel.
Lekkere koffie bij ontbijt.
Leuk zwembad.
Mooi uitzicht op zee vanuit de kamers op zeekant.
Niet ver van leuk strandje.
Terrein hotel netjes opgeruimd.

Minpunten:
Kleine (bad)kamer.
Badkamer niet fris.
Wc-bril stuk.
Zwembad niet altijd toegankelijk ivm evenementen.
Evenementen (bruiloften, verjaardagen, etc) soms met harde muziek.
Omgeving in avond weinig inspirerend, voor een leuk stadje moet je wel ver rijden (20 min, 35 min en ruim een uur).

Sempre bello!

In viaggio di nozze, abbiamo soggiornato qui. Il posto lo conoscevo già ma dopo dieci anni devo dire che è migliorato. Piscina esterna con cascata, terrazze per il solarium ottime,il sole anche in ottobre è estivo. La zona e cruda. Come tutta la Costa Viola.
Peccato perché con una poca di volontà potrebbe trasformarsi meglio della famosa Tropea. Nel complesso mi piace sempre Taureana
