We were staying at a different hotel but decided to leave as we were so disappointed with it. The Nautilus absolutely made up for that and I wish we’d booked here from the start. Clean, spacious, meticulously maintained and such friendly staff. The beach location is perfect and the pool an added bonus. Sad to leave.

Nous avons adoré l’emplacement situé directement sur la plage de Poetto, avec le grand boardwalk en bord de mer. Tout était parfait : l’hôtel est propre et bien entretenu, le déjeuner est copieux et le personnel est gentil et poli.

Le seul petit bémol concerne la climatisation, qui était peu fonctionnelle.

Firstly, the staff were brilliant, they could not have been more helpful. However, we were a little disappointed with the lack of amenities, the pool was closed, a/c unavailable, no drinking glasses, and the plastic cup in the bathroom had calcium residue around its rim.
The surface of the desk top was in very poor condition. We did enjoy the use of the free cycles, and the easy availability of the local bus behind the hotel was a bonus.
The breakfast was very good, and the staff were very pleasant.

Everything was ok. The bed and pillows were a little strength. Breakfast finished early. We could not have it. We couldn’t use the balcony because the handle of the door was broken/ the manager called us later and apologized/ invited us to go back complementary. Unfortunately we did not have the time. Great hotel accommodation BUT BE WEARY OF THEIR PARTNER RESTAURANT associated with hotel on street side next to.. we got taken advantage of by the staff 3x and cost us extra 35euros , they showed a false receipt of different amount & said no gratuity even though was already in , but we ALWSYS TIP so we wanted to leave an honest 20% to which they added again & then offered a discount for staying at hotel, only to remove it and overcharge us again.. funny how the gentleman spoke perfect English with us while enjoying dinner but SUDDENLY acted as if no comprendi how do you say etc etc.
That meal was amazing but that crookery of payment was offensive & ruined our energy entire day after. Be aware

The view from our sea view room was limited, The hotel is located across the street from the beach, which is fine. However, your sea view is completely blocked by this huge elongated building. It’s not what I expected based upon my upgraded room choice. I would recommend staying in the city instead. More shopping and restaurant choices. Also, the hotel is inconvenient for visiting the city. Anyway, the season (October) is definitely not a good time to be in this area. Maybe if we visited during the summer months, the stay would be better.

We loved our private garden with the hot tub and how easy it was to walk to the beach along the road that’s closed to traffic. The courtesy bikes are nice too! We enjoyed our entire experience there. Great restaurants to walk to also some right on the beach and others along the closed road all with fabulous food. It was a great place to start our Sardinian vacation. We highly recommend Hotel Nautilus.

We were a large family group of 12 and had an excellent time at Hotel Nautilus. The rooms are very good quality, the breakfast delicious and plentiful, the location very good, the price competitive. I only realised the hotel was quite busy, at breakfast, when I saw a lot of other guests.

Breakfast was superb. All staff throughout the hotel were friendly and very helpful. Really recommend asking staff to book nearby restaurants for you for dinner, as they tend to be very busy for last minute walk ins.

This hotel deserves a 5 star. The staff made us feel at home with their professionalism and warm hospitality. They go above and beyond for their guest. The breakfast was delicious, rooms are immaculately clean, we stayed at the junior suite and we had our own jacuzzi. This is the place to relax, and you can hear the waves crashing from the balcony. Amazing ocean views. We will definitely come back and will recommend this Hotel to our friends and family.

Nice hotel in Poetto Cagliari

We had an amazing stay at Nautilus next to Poetto beach in Cagliari. The hotel is conveniently located away from the noise of the city, but at the same time close to Cagliari if you decide to visit the city. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. They will go the extra mile to try to accommodate your requests. The breakfast was excellent. We are vegans and found some nice options every day. Free bike rentals and discounts in nearby restaurants are really nice. The only downside is the concrete construction of a beach facility in front of the hotel, which blocks the view to the sea. This is clearly not the fault of the hotel as it looks like a modern and not so-well-planned construction. We were surprised that the authorities allowed to build these kinds of huge and unpleasant buildings right next to such a wonderful beach. The local government should consider demolishing these unaesthetical and unsustainable structures, which are also not good for the environment, especially when the city is working on the reconstruction of dunes. Other than that, we highly recommend Nautilus as one of the best hotels in the area if you are looking to relax.

A Great Choice! Book It.

We loved this place! We stayed for 3 nights and were glad to have stayed at this resort. The reception and staff were very friendly and helpful, both in getting us settled and in recommending places for us to eat. They also arranged for a few taxis for us and made reservations for us for dinner one night. The room was super comfortable--the bed was unique (circular) and we had our own hot tub. The air conditioning worked very well. We spent part of one day and the majority of another at the pool: there were plenty of seats, the pool itself was relaxing and quiet, and the water was perfect. The breakfast was very good--not quite as many options as some other places we stayed in Italy, but certainly enough to give you a good start to your day. The best place we ate (maybe on the whole trip) was right down the block at Antica Cagliari.

Hotel Nautilus is a fantastic place to stay. It is literally across the road from the beach and is an easy bus ride from the city/station or about 15 minutes by taxi from the airport. Our room was spotlessly clean and airy - and the room is cleaned daily during your stay. The bathroom was great with a lovely large shower. The staff were incredibly knowledgable and helpful and are on hand 24 hours a day. There is a very nice pool, hot tub and sun loungers (some rooms have their own hot tub). There are restaurants and bars nearby, with quite a few on the beach. I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Nautilus.

Cannot believe this is just rated as a 3 star?!? Better than that! The staff at the front desk, in the breakfast area and cleaning crews all get great reviews. The location of the hotel on the beach cannot be beat. The free use of the bikes makes getting around the immediate area with ease. Really liked the room. Even with the unexpected extended stay having the hot tub right outside the door along with the private backyard made the room area even bigger. If we ever make it back to Cagliari we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for five days. Lovely hotel close to Poetto Beach, so quite. We would have liked in room coffee maker. Also, the brochure didn't explain the AC and how it operates. FYI the latch to the patio must be in the closed position. If you go out to the patio your AC will turn off and you will have to rest/ turn on again. No plugs for sink. Then we had to pay additional charges to use the shower facilities on the check out day as our flight was at 7pm. 10 euros each. Book a early flight if you don’t mind paying that price. Just saying.

New/very clean hotel. Great location by the beach which had white sand and clear waters (probably dependant on time of year) but beach was nice when we were there in June. The hotel gives you beach umbrella for free and the Diavlo cafe gives you sunbeds for free when you mention you're from this hotel. Great cycle path along the beach to get some exercise, you can use bikes from the hotel for free. A few restaurants in area plus a delicious gelateria Bobocono. But if you want more choice go to the city centre which is only a 20min bus ride. Lovely staff, reasonable breakfast and comfortable room, would recommend.

We loved everything about this hotel! From the time we checked in the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and very clean and had a nice balcony with views of the sea. Very easy access to the public beach and public transit to the city center. Our only complaint was the lack of restaurants within walking distance, but the bus system ran late enough that we were able to go into the city center every night for dinner.

Well situated to access Poetto beach and all local amenities, we were impressed with the front of house staff, the style and layout of the hotel and overall feel to the hotel.

Less impressive was the early morning call thanks to the cleaning staff who, coupled with the extremely thin doors (which provide no soundproofing at all) and their seriously noisey activities meant that irrespective that we had go in late the night before, we were awoken at 0730.

Apart from the noise pollution we loved our stay and would recommend the Hotel Nautilus to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great location opposite the beach and restaurants. It was such a bonus that the hotel provided bicycles for the guests to use, we made full use of that perk and were able to cycle safely along the 8km beachfront track to work off all the carbs we consumed ! The beach is opposite the hotel and has great staff. Eliza was extremely helpful and gave excellent customer service. She was always more than happy to help and made sure I was happy with everything.
The bus stop is minutes away from the hotel and a 10 minute bus ride to the city centre/town.
The location was great. There were a few places to eat around the area and a supermarket close by.
I would stay here again :)

Great for a 3 star property. Our only issues were that we had a cold shower in the morning and the walls are super thin so you can hear your neighbours conversations and everything thing else they are doing!
The beach is quite open and was very windy when we were there so didn't use, drove to other beaches.

Great hotel to visit Poetto Beach

Great stay at Hotel Nautilus. First, the hotel... the hotel was just steps away from Poetto Beach - very convenient for avid beach-goers. The hotel was clean, the staff was lovely, and the breakfast was decent with a number of options included. All the staff were very helpful in making sure our stay was enjoyable. Some staff helped us narrow down the more remote beaches and we could not have been more pleased with their recommendation, and others even helped us sort out a difficult rental car issue. Second, the location... steps to the beach, but not so close to the city centre and restaurants with variety. There are a number of beach kiosks nearby that serve decent lunch options during your beach day. We chose to venture into the city for dinner to explore and expand the selection. The city centre is a bus ride or car ride away - about 10 minutes. A taxi ride to/from the airport is about 27 euros and 20 minutes. Third, the beach... Poetto Beach is not as nice as the other Sardinia beaches - which is ok, just make sure you set your expectations as such. The location is great to visit Cagliari with direct access to a beach, or a quick swim before heading to the airport or to warm you up for more amazing beaches to come as you travel around the island.

The staff are great and you feel like you are home from home. The breakfast was great and the location is superb for the beach opposite. The bus stop is a few minutes walk to take you into the port of Cagliari. A bicycle provided from the hotel is useful to ride the 8km bicycle lane opposite the hotel. Lots of joggers there aswell. The beach is clean and there is the convenience of having bars, restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. I recommend the pizza ordered from the hotel’s favourite restaurant. Thank you to the hotel for a great stay. I miss the latte macchiatos and the fantastic cakes and pastries. I look forward to return to the Nautilus again someday.

Just Steps Away from the Beach

The Nautilus Hotel is a great location to explore the southern half of Sardinia. From the moment Alesando welcomed us when we arrived, the hotel felt like home. All the staff is very helpful and kind- from restaurant recommendations, to sight seeing or an appointment to tour a winery. The hotel feels very\"Beachy\" with its navy and white color scheme.
There is plenty of parking on local streets.

They emailed me before I got there with information on how to get to the hotel by public transportation with cost and answered my questions promptly within hours. We rented a car because we wanted to drive to Grotta del Bue Marino. We highly recommend not renting a car if you are going to stay in the area. Goldcar/Rhodium was horrible so don't rent from them if you really want to rent a car.

We were on the top floor with the seaview and it was really nice. There is an ugly building in the front that is in the way if you are on the lower levels. The free wifi was fast that we were able to watch a movie on Netflix. The bicycles are free to use as are the locks. The free breakfast was good with a variety of items to choose from. They provided excellent customer service while we were there and after we have already left. My husband left his phone in the room and they mailed it to us. They even held onto the phone for us for a couple of months because my husband could not find the time to make the arrangements. I ended up making the arrangement and the payment through the carrier for pick up and the hotel staff packaged the phone for mailing.

This is a business that wants repeat customers. With customer service like that we definitely will come back and recommend it to everyone thinking about visiting Cagliari, Italy.

Amazing value for money

Lovely new hotel (loved the beachy / nautical theme!), across the road from beach. Can't praise the staff enough for their helpfulness. Breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh too. Only thing to be aware of is that the beach (where the hotel is located) is a good 15 min bus ride into town so not particularly handy for sight-seeing but great for chilling out by the beach, cycling, running, etc

Overnight stay only. Needed car to go to Cagliari to eat & shop. Difficult to find in car, even with gas. Hotel was on a section of road closed to cars. Found hotel on foot & then could park opossum in unmade car park. Hotel was great, clean & tidy, looked just like the pictures. Would stop there again. Comfy clean room & very good continental breakfast. Staff very friendly

Overlooking the Beach

Hotel Nautilus is in a great location if you want to sit on your balcony and see the beach. There is a large road outside the hotel that is used for biking and running. They have free bikes to use whenever you would like. There are also some good restaurants nearby.

Stay @ Hotel Nautilus

Great, modern hotel, supported by very friendly & helpful staff. Good location, with a lovely sandy beach across the road. Local bus service provides excellent access to the city centre.
Negative points - the current road building works outside the front of the hotel & limited selection of evening dinner restaurants.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Nice stay near the sea.

Wonderfully helpful staff. Great views. Good decor and toiletries. standard breakfast and great coffee. Only let down was the bathroom and bedroom floors. They were not 100% spotless like the rest of the hotel. I advise the cleaners to hoover and mop the floors in the corners. Walk to the city is about 45mins which we didn't mind. Or take a taxi.

Interesting place

Arrived after a terrible storm in Sardinia and the electricity was off across large parts of the area. As a result we were unable to enjoy the hotel at all. Staff were pleasant but a bit busy at the time trying to sort the electrics out . Looked a nice place left before breakfast

Beautiful Hotel & Location

This was a truly pleasant hotel on the Poetto beach. I wish we had stayed a few more nights; it's a newly opened hotel and everything is clean to the highest of standards. The room was bright, airy and spacious, in plain nautical colour and design. Breakfast was basic but nice. The best thing about this hotel was definitely its location. Can't wait for us to return.

Stay here if you visit Cagliari

We stayed in a seafront room, nice balcony, room very comfortable tho not really large...breakfast was tasty and abundant. This young staff is helpful, friendly, English-speaking and they go out of their way to accomodate any rquest. There is bus service within minutes, parking if you have a car. Highly recommend this new hotel.

Très déçus du rapport qualité prix pour une chambre à 250€ , photos de l’annonce vraiment trompeuses … mobilier vieillissant, plage avec transats bien plus loin de l’hôtel , restaurant montré sur les photos bien plus loin aussi ! Transats de l’hôtel dans un bar de plage proche du Cahos , très bruyant , l’enfer pour se reposer, salé les uns sur les autres . Chambres sommaires et vieillissantes.
Seul le petit déjeuner fut correct .
Une déception immense , je pensait me faire plaisir !
