We had a very nice week at Blue Bay, the staff were lovely and helpful, rooms clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, food was very nice, the only negative comments I would have are that there was no milk alternatives, the all inclusive drinks weren’t great and no fruit juice in the mornings! Other than that it was great.

This hotel is value for money.
Positives: Amazing views, great locations, the beach really isn't that far away and the bar and the restaurant are very good and the staff amazing.
Balanced by: The hotel really needs to read its reviews. It's all inclusive offer is essentially beer, wine, soft drinks (all reasonable) but then only ozo or raki options. Just seems really unnecessary. The food is ok.

As with all hotels its a shame there is more shaded area by the pool so there is the inevitable lobbying for beds. (on a plus point for blue bay the option of 3 (well 2 with a bar) pools does mean it is likely you will find somewhere that is relatively nice without having to get up at 0800 in the morning.

Doesn't feel like a 4 stars hotel at all, room decor inexistant, dated bathroom. The food was really not something special, just alright, and the drinks of the all inclusive disappointing. Not what I expected

Staying at this hotel is amazing. The location of the cliffs of Agia Pelagia is probably one of the best sights on the island. Also the staff os very helpful and friendly and gives you a 5 star treatment. Only downside are the rooms. If you book a cheap room in the side building, please make sure you bring earplugs. The walls are very thin, and you can hear other people in the rooms and around the building very well!

The staff was amazing, helpful polite . The food in the buffet was great ! We drove around the town and the food was not as good as the buffet in the resort, they had a verity of food. I highly recommend this resort. The surrounding area is all resorts. The beach area has cute shops with reasonable prices.

A lovely break!

Such a lovely break. Stayed here for 6 nights with my husband and 2 children. Can honestly say it was great. Staff friendly and helpful-learned our names, lovely to our children. The food was great- lots of options and well thought out. Little pebble beach a few minutes walk. I would say if you have any mobility issues be cautious as the hotel is set on a hill, lots of steps. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel for relax near Heraklion

10min walk to a beach where there are some restaurants and supermarkets. 10min drive to a PADI diving center. You can also relax by the pool. The full board price is 25 euro per day which is quite reasonable. You can also enjoy the sunset in the bar!

Blue Bay resort holiday

Lovely resort, a bit remote, but if you want a relaxing time then it’s perfect. Only 30 minutes to Heraklion airport by taxi and slightly longer to the town by local bus. Good choice of pools and plenty of available sun beds. Stayed all inclusive and the choice of food and drink was good. There was a fair selection of evening entertainment on site. Would visit again.

A great resort holiday.

This resort offers nice rooms with effective air-conditioning, and a good all-inclusive package. The food is nicely prepared and there's quite a bit of variety. The setting is attractive and quiet, and the beach is close. The multi-lingual staff are pleasant and helpful. Evening entertainment is reasonable. There is limited car parking at the resort, but if the car park is full you can park in the road. Heraklion and Knossos are 30-40 minutes' drive away. The gym can get a bit warm, as they are frugal with the air-con, but it is otherwise not bad at all. This is a very good resort with no major flaws. You can eat well, relax and explore without any stress.

Obviously, nothing is perfect, and there are few areas in which Blue Bay could improve- bearing in mind the very high quality of most of its offering, and the fact that there are more expensive options. Firstly, the wi-fi is only in the lobby, and can get slow at times. Secondly, some of the rooms are in buildings that leave you needing to climb a number of steep stairs to get to the main complex. Thirdly, one or two of the sports facilities need improvement: the tennis court is a rough tarmac court with a basketball hoop on the baseline at each end (so you can't hit serves or overheads from the middle!), and the miniature golf has about 5 holes, some of which are covered in tree debris. Finally, there are few English language TV channels-- but then you don't go there to watch TV!

Fabulous hotel for a family holiday

We returned almost a week ago after having a fantastic holiday at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming, hotel is kept clean, wide range of food available, always managed to get a sunbed, nice walk to three beaches. Various evening entertainment, the kids enjoyed some of the daytime activities. All in all we would love to return to this hotel!

Hire a Car!

Lovely 10 days at Blue Bay all inclusive. The hotel itself and the quality of the service was great. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they should be commended for their efforts. The food was up to a good standard and there was a decent amount of choice. Bob Marley got a bit repetitive every morning on the pool bar sound system but only a minor thing.

Not great! There was no air conditioning in the dinning area Inspite of temperatures up to 26 c and above . so we had to eat while we sweated buckets! There was no air conditioning in the reception area where there was wifi ! The rooms had no supply of toiletries luckily we had carried ours! No tea or coffee making facilities and the mini bar was not stocked! I a very surprised it was rated 4 stars ! Just a budget hotel! Please don't rate it 4 star!

Great location, choose your room carefully.

Had a lovely week. We were on B&B terms although most of the hotel seemed to be on an all inclusive basis. Breakfasts were ok, reasonable selection, seen worse. We had quiet rooms in a annex up the hill from the main hotel. Just as well as the permanent disco music blaring out around the main pool would have been very disturbing. We had to ask the hotel staff to do a few minor things but they responded well. Great views across the bay.

Not authentic Greece

As an English/ Greek couple using the hotel to attend a wedding and also to celebrate our own wedding anniversary, it was disappointing to find a hotel which was denying Greece. We only found one member of staff who spoke Greek at reception. From the hotel site we were certainly not expecting a package holiday type hotel where pool beds are grabbed at 8 oclock in the morning. The resort was described as a 'small lovely village' and 'authentic Greece' but Russian was the main language and the 'village' was a series of bars/restaurants right on the sand. Only the beach umbrellas of the famous Mononaftis bay were visible from the hotel due to the square, cement buildings built on the hillside in front. Wi-Fi reception was only available if you hung off the balcony ( a fact known to the staff) and our Superior Sea view only had a sea view if you stood up, since the balcony wall was made of stone! So a relaxing evening at our Sea View room was really spent looking at the sky or leaning over the balcony.
Having said that, the staff at the hotel were superb - particularly Maria at Reception and Alex at the bar.

We had the best service in the hotel! As I took the first step in the hotel the staff recognized me immediately from a previous holiday I had in the hotel. They offered us multiple options for a free room upgrade, they gave me a golden bracelet as a returning guest and they carried our luggage. I stayed in many hotels but never received a service like this. A big thank you to the staff for their hospitality!

Fijn dat er meerdere zwembaden zijn en voldoende ligbedden. Het all-in concept is erg ruim en het personeel is echt heel aardig. Iedereen in Griekenland overigens, maar in het hotel nog een beetje extra.

Hôtel accueillant mais sans charme.

Hôtel accueillant, le personnel est charmant et serviable mais non francophone. La restauration est correcte mais sans aucun charme. C'est la même chose pour l'environnement extérieure et les piscines. Pour les plages à proximité, c'est les uns sur les autres avec transat obligatoire (10€). Bref pour nous, l'expérience ne sera pas renouvelé.

Von Putzfrau bis der Geschäftsführer alle waren soooo nett und bereit zu zuhören auf unsere Wünsche oder Fragen unsere lob oder Kritik. Das gab's nirgendwo auf der anbere hotel bis jetzt wo wir waren.Essen Von feinstem, und mit sehr große Auswahl von unterschiedlichen Ländern.du hast Meerblick sogar auch beim Essen das sagt Alles.ich werde noch mal dahin auf jeden Fall.und ich werde an meine Freunde weiter empfehlen auf jeden Fall.

Blue bay hotel

Jättefint hotell där det mesta är toppen. Vi hade ett familjerum i huvudbyggnaden o det var jättefint.
Frukosten var kanon. Luncherna sisådär. Ungarna hittade inte så mycket att äta så dem gick ner till poolbaren o åt pizza. Middagarna var toppen.
Showerna som dem hade varje kväll var toppen o ungarna var helnjöda.
Det negativa var att det var en lång backe ner till havet o det var ganska halt i vattnet då det var stora stenblock i hela området.
Att dem inte hade några drinkar. Borde finnas kanske några stycken att välja på.
Tråkigt att dem inte spelar grekisk musik då det är det man vill höra när man är där o inte popmusik som man lyssnar på resten av året.
Ganska långt ifrån dem fina stränderna ifall man vill se dem. Tog 3 timmar till Elafonissi o lina lång tid till Balos.

Dejligt, rent og komfortabelt hotel

Dejligt hotel. Vores værelse var fantastisk og med ekstra stor altan med skøn udsigt. Gode senge og velfungerende ventilation. Vi var to voksne med tre børn, og der var god plads til alle. Maden var god, men støjniveauet i restauranten var til tider højt pga. aukustikken i rummet.
Nærmeste strand (små sten, ikke sand) var lille men dejlig, og som taget ud af en græsk film. Vandet var meget klart og med mange små fisk, og børnene elskede at snorkle der.
Alt i alt et sted vi gerne besøger igen.

Alles ist gut gepflegt - Putzfeen und Hausmeister wuseln den ganzen Tag herum. Das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist gut, Buffet zu jeder Mahlzeit sehr umfangreich - jeder Gaumen findet etwas passendes.

Mukava ja rauhallinen hotelli

Hotelli oli perus siisti, ei mitään luksusta ja ehkä hieman kulahtaneet huoneet. Ympäristö oli aivan mahtava mutta vaatii että on auto, jos ei halua koko reissua olla vain hotelilla. Aamupala oli paras, lounas/iltaruoka aika saman tyylinen. Ruoka oli ok mutta ei sen enempää.

Nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel le soir et le personnel nous a mis dans une chambre qui était dans un état lamentable, je n'avais jamais vu une douche aussi vielle, nous nous sommes plaint mais le maitre d'hôtel nous a informer qu'il n'y avait pas d'autres chambres disponible,
De plus nous ne voyions pas la mer de la chambre alors que nous avions pris une chambre avec vue mer.
Nous sommes retournés les voir le lendemain pour changer de chambres et ils nous ont effectivement changer dans une autre dépendance un peu plus récente.
