The staff that work here are so friendly and kind. It’s a very laid back environment with a beautiful beach. Food is good and the prices are ok. The beach has cabanas and lounge chairs. The water is very swimmable even for little kids. Very safe when we were there in October. We loved our stay here and we highly recommend it as a beautiful place to go to in the Caribbean with a gorgeous beach that is budget friendly.

The Hotel is OK, a little old but OK. Now the restaurant service is a mess!! Besides being expensive, the service is very bad. Every time we ate there it took 1 and a half hours from the moment we sat down on the table to the time the food finally came!!! It seemed like you had to order your lunch right after finishing your Breakfast, that way probably it would be ready by lunchtime.

Liked the property and bar staff at the beach. Had quick service to repair toilet. Had a few issues with communication amongst staff. Shuttle was requested early due to early flight. This was not passed on to driver as we expected. We had to take a taxi instead. Rooms were to be ready early as communicated through whatsapp communications. This did not happen until we complained.

The property and location are fantastic. Very clean and inviting when you arrive, and there is space to move around, with large shared patios out front. The staff were all incredible and this is what really made the stay enjoyable. Helpful, kind, friendly, honest.

I do not like to make long complaints but I believed or I’m almost sure, that my two watches that were on top of my backpack were stolen at the hotel, I was traveling alone and because of that reason I didn’t want to say anything also the way the staff treated since the beginning, just very arrogant for the most part, the staff should make you feel comfortable they should use room cards instead oh that bracelet, being asked every single time is annoying cause they scare you won’t pay, anyway I lost my two watches and a black pant, definitely I’m not staying at this hotel, I want to stay in a place I feel comfortable asking questions, I don’t know if I didn’t look like a certain profile they used to.

They have a nice beach and bars but the service was horrible, it took forever for the waitress to come over, many times, I ended up going up to the bar to order and even then, it was slow getting my food or drinks. The bars are also quite loud and we could hear them even though we were in the room furthest away.

On a positive note, for those who stayed at the hotel and complained about not having hot water, there is, just turn the handle to the right. They also let us check-in early which was nice.

The hotel itself is very overpriced and they wanted an extra $15US a hour for a later check out. The bungalow porch is shared between four rooms and the walls are paper thin. We got assigned the wrong room type and in hind-site should have kept the hotel room instead of choosing the bungalow. AC worked great but the hot water in the shower kept going cold. Beach was lovely though it rained the whole stay so the start of December is not the time to come. Food was okay. I would suggest staying elsewhere and just visiting the beach.

I loved my stay here. I had been travelling around Central America for nearly 5 weeks and this was the perfect place for my rest stop. Check in was excellent and my room was ready early. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room (bungalow) was very comfortable and I liked the simple rustic beach design. The beach was beautiful and a great place for the sunset. Loved that the bar and restaurant are also on the beach. The food was excellent quality and there was plenty of options in different price brackets. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t comment on those prices. I felt very relaxed the whole time and would definitely stay here again.

The bungalow room I stayed at had a urine smell the first day, which they came to mop but the smell was still there. I wasnt sure if it was the wood smell bc of all the moisture. Super friendly and kind staff. Perfect location to enjoy the beach and have food to be served. The food was decent and staff always welcoming with a smile.

The only thing that i was upset it was the mistake in the itinerary. I book one room for four people and Expedia send me the itinerary for one room foe one person. We have stayed here at Arenas Beach Hotel six times in the last two years. There was a one year gap since our last last visit. Most of the staff and locals still remembered us. The hotel needs some improvements. We noticed a decline in the condition of the property, linens, beach furniture etc. The staff is awesome and the views are perfect.

This is definitely the best place to stay at in Corn Island. The beach is beautiful and clean with calm water. Overall our stay was great. The rooms are very small. There’s no screens on the windows so you can’t open them. Our reservation had said it’s a private bungalow but that wasn’t true. The bungalow housed four rooms within it. The reservation also said two queen beds but we got one queen bed and a single bed. When we brought it up with the reception the response was “you can cancel if you want.”

I recognize that the Corn Islands are not the place for luxury, but this place is way overpriced for what it is. The rooms are clean enough (but only on the surface), the mattress on the bed is as hard as a rock, and the prices in the restaurant/bar are ridiculous for Nicaragua. The walls between the rooms are so thin you can hear everything your neighbours say. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, and the beach itself is quite nice. Service is abysmal - when I asked about going to Little Corn, the receptionist just pointed at the sign for the public pangas. Paying US$450 for 3 nights here is a huge stretch for what you get.

Really great beachfront property, amazing sand. A/C worked well. The staff is generally very good and working hard to please. Tip accordingly! The breakfast is pretty great, but in general the restaurant wasn't amazing, especially considering the high prices. There are other options that are walkable, or within a $1-2 taxi ride, that are cheaper and better. There is NO potable water at this facility except for expensive bottled water, which is ridiculous. Also, if you're looking for a quiet beachfront place to get nice sleep, this is probably not the spot.

Perfect location, the nicest beach on the island in a protected bay, perfect for swimming. Great beach cabanas and chairs. Front desk was great, very helpful. They had rooms ready for.early check ins based on boat and flight arrivals, helped with scooter.rentals, taxis, info and beach towels. Restaurant service was a little less perfect but on par with the island... Nica time and island time combined is a real thing.
Only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is terrible. You can connect from the lobby or restaurant but not at all from the bungalows.

Great to have a free shuttle from the airport. Location is great and i actually prefer the beach here to the beaches on Little Corn.
The bad bits were that we didn’t have any hot water for 2 out of the 3 days. The rooms are very very basic based on price. I assume we are paying for the location and no more. There was no real atmosphere in the restaurant as no music so evenings were pretty quiet which might be ok for some people.

It is the best place to stay in the island. The hotel is right in front of the beach. The beach is cleaned and raked every morning. I don’t know where to start….we checked in to the property for 2 nights to find that the grounds were completely overgrown. When we arrived at our room we realized that the advertised WIFI was not available in the rooms. The room was small and grimy. Shortly thereafter, our neighbors checked in and we thought they were in our room! The walls were paper thin. We could hear ever single word as if they were in our room. Now..it is time for a shower. Sorry; this hotel has no hot water. We checked out first thing the next morning and the hotel refused (through Expedia) to refund our unused night. This is all unacceptable. The hotel advertised (on Expedia) that wifi was available in the rooms and there was no mention of NO hot water. We moved to Parasio Beach Hotel and it was delightful.

When I got there, the hotel charged me extra for my modification which was just adding one person to the reservation. It is a expensive hotel. Breakfast was good. The beach area was not very clean. AC works wonderful!!! We stayed in the bungalow for 2. It was clean, everything looks pretty rustic but bath towels were worn out, toilet had a crack, showers were ok. It needs TLC. It’s a great location, the beach is magnificent. It’s a shame it’s not kept up. We would definitely stay there again just because the beach is amazing.
