Much has changed at this property. It was a holiday inn before and now it is not. So the Executive Room with VIP access to the Executive club is no longer available. The website still shows that they have an Executive lounge. Its gone. The lounge is now a clothing shop. No more bar insude. No amenities. I will not stay here on my next visit.

There was an issue regarding the availability of beds for stay, as i booked through expedia for 3 adults however the hotel only had room with 2 twin beds which can sleep 2 adults only, the hotel dstaff did tried to find a room suitable for us but it wasn't their fault, it was misleading on the Expedia website

The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and obliging. They were patient given we didn't speak Mandarin and the use of apps like Papago made communication easy. The bar staff were amazing and let us add our own recipes to their drinks menu.

Hotel with well trained service staffs.

Excellent service at the front desk and breakfast table. Especially the front desk service staff Ms Chang Nan, as there were not enough cleaned rooms during check in, she upgraded our deluxe room to a suite for our 2 nights stay. Most breakfast service staffs were warm and friendly especially the restaurant manager and the lady staff stationed at the entrance, always welcoming guests will a smile, will definitely go back in future.

The problem is to do with Expedia. I have booked the entire trip with Expedia as you keep asking to extend my trip reservation with the hotel, but ended up you collected my IHG membership details but the hotel not treating me as a loyal returning customer because I booked through Expedia which they considered as sold you at very low prices and deprived me from any points recognizing my stay. This is terrible of Expedia - making money from both side; particularly from a customer that booked a pretty good hotel through you.

Perfect spot for short stay near airport

I got into Qingdao very late so stayed one night at this hotel, conveniently located near the airport. The staff were friendly and very nice, though they did not speak much English. The breakfast with the room was good and I used the small workout facility. My room was clean and comfortable.

There are pros and cons for locating very close to the airport.
Pros: Hardly miss the flight, cheap travel cost from airport to hotel.
Cons: Taxi drivers refuse to take you to the hotel.
Recommendation: Provide shuttle bus at the airport.

There is no shuttle from Airport to Hotel.

The main reason this hotel was selected was because it claimed to have an airport shuttle. Their hotel literature states shuttle to and from airport. There was no service from the airport to the hotel. We took a taxi after looking around and calling the hotel and being unable to effectively communicate with their staff.

Love the staff, love the location.
Have stayed here many times
Beds are very comfortable, rooms quiet, pretty well a basic room
But, room are showing their wear - shower stall had black grout, hinges pitted, lots of dings on cabinets
Carpet ok, needs to be cleaned/replaced
This hotel is showing its age - time for update

returning since 2014 March, service is very good and still good breakfast!
having said that, I have notice room are showing wear and tear, in need of renovation soon.
overall nice place to stay for budget business travelers like me!

The staff were amazing. We booked through Hotels.com for 3 adults in one room. When we go there we were told they would put an extra bed in but when we looked the room was very small. My elderly mother was with us so they organised a large room for an extra fee - we negotiated. They really tried to help to find the best solution. We also hired a car through them. The first day wasn't great as we didn't realise the places we wanted to visit were so far apart. You must ask questions about distance. The 2nd day worked out much better as we discussed what we could realistically do. It was very convenient and reasonable as there were 5 of us in the van.

Wonderful hotel. Stayed here while on business. Clean and spacious room making both work and relaxation possible. The hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly. The dining options are also very good. The breakfast buffet has a very good and broad selection. The evening dinner choices are also great -American, Korean, Chinese for those who do not want to venture out to eat. Within 15min (with traffic) of the airport. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed.

It is very near the airport with airport shuttle. The staff have good customer service but we have difficulty in their communication skills in English. The room is clean except for a stained toilet bowl which we found to be annoying. They have a wide and good selections for breakfast. They have a nice business center to conduct meetings.

Great hotel- one of the best. The hotel is very modern, clean, comfortable. The staff always smile. I have rarely seen such a service orientated hotel. I asked for extra bottled water one day. It was with me in a minute and from then on they always made sure i had stock of 4 bottles. This is thirdvisitand i stay nowhere else in Qingdao area

Just like Qingdao itself, this hotel is lovely. Great staff, willing to do what's required to make the stay comfortable. Good business centre, excellent check-in. Room was very nice - comfortable, very clean, up-to-date. Highly recommended for those working in the regions close to the hotel (which I was).

Hotel location very near airport, but nothing much to shop in the vicinity. Hotel restaurant staffs provided very good services during dinner, but services during breakfast was rather slow. Is extremely far away from downtown 40 min to 1 hour.
So if you do not need to be at the airport choose another hotel at downtown

Overall my experience was okay. The service was, for the most part, friendly and professional. There just wasn't anything \"great\" about my stay. (There was one waitress who went out of her way to always smile and say hello, that was nice.)

The food in the restaurant was fairly bland and uneventful. I felt like the menu was limited. I ordered room service one night and the amount billed for the meal was higher than the price on the menu (there was also a surcharge on top of that). Not enough to really fuss over, but still...

There's also very little to see in the neighborhood. I generally go for walks and step into small stores when in China - I stepped out one afternoon, but there just wasn't anything to see, nothing of interest.

I've stayed in better hotels in China/Qingdao for only a little more money. Unfortunately they are not conveniently located for where I need to be in Qingdao. I'll wind up staying here again when I go back, but only because I have to and not because I want to. It's an okay place to stay, but not a destination.

空調が壊れていて暖房きかず。フロントに行ったら、小型の空調機を持ち込まれた。が、それも音がかなりうるさく、クレームして部屋を変えてもらった。朝食のブッフェでも、ホールの女性はおおあくびをしたり、壁掛けテレビを見ていたり。サービスはやはり中国レベル。あきれました。二度とこちらには泊まりません。

청도 여행에서 얻은 가장 큰 만족감-홀리데이인

호텔의 얼굴인 프론트에서부터 친절함과 한국인을 향한 배려가 느껴졌습니다.
한국어 통역직원은 매우 유창한 언어로 체크인시 느끼는 어려움을 잘 해결해 주셨고,
특히 Assistant Manager인 Andy Li직원은 이 모든 일을 잘 관리하고 세세하게 배려해 주었습니다.
전반적인 호텔 편의시설과 특히 조식메뉴는 전 세계 어디에 내놔도 손색이 없을 정도로 풍성하고 신선하고 맛있었습니다.
다시 청도를 찾더라도 꼭 다시 이곳을 찾고 싶습니다.
