We were given a welcome fruit pack. Room was clean and we get daily bottled water supply. Breakfast was the best. Hotel must know guests will be busy touring during the day that the breakfast served was like lunch already with so much choices of food items. Its also 10mins by foot to Temple of Heaven. Across the hotel is a bank and a 24hr ATM machine. Many restaurants and shopping mall nearby as well. Will definitely stay again if I ever come back to Beijing

Location was great for ToH and the metro. Breakfast was good. But it’s old and dated. Room was dirty, with old toothpick on the floor and other 'bits‘ on the corners. Dodgy stains on the floors. No fridge in the room. Very noisy - could hear people talking, coughing, vomiting in adjacent rooms and from the corridor. Laundry was a hassle. Gym consisted of two running machines.

All fine. Washing machine isn’t easy to use if you don’t have a Chinese phone number. The staff at breakfast clear away plates/cups etc far too quickly. I left to go to get more coffee & came back to my plate/knife/fork etc was gone. I wasn’t anywhere near finished. Gym is super basic. Lots of water in the room etc.

We ended up leaving the property 4 nights early. The noise on the floor was intense with a lot of people leaving their doors open since they were traveling in groups. I was told at the front desk when I checked out to let Expedia know I had checked out early, and would receive a refund for the days. Of course that wasn't the response I received after speaking to Expedia. I was asked to provide proof of being told I could have a refund, after I was checked out, and already in a different country. As a platinum member, who paid for insurance for this booking, I would expect a little different of an outcome.

Super convenient for railway station

We only stayed overnight to get a morning railway trip to Shanghai. The service at checkin and checkout was exceptional. The staff arranged a taxi for us in the morning. The room was clean and fairly comfortable - my only complaint was the bed was a bit hard. But we were only there one night. The breakfast was tasty and had a lot of variety.

This is my go-to hotel in Beijing. It has western standards, but at the same time very local. It's 10 minutes walking from the Metro line 8, which in my opinion connects the most interesting parts of Beijing.

Room otsel f was nice however the beds were horrible. You coukd feel the strings though the cover. I am a side sleeper and i even piled the bedding from the other bed on top but they still stuck through. The very purpose ofva hotel room is to have a conphy place to sleep sadly that goal was missed. Breakfast buffet was great.

The location was great. The lobby is small and crowded. The staff was nice. The food a lot of stuff and variety but not that much for western foreigners. The room little outdated. The cons. There are so many Holiday INNS around the area, taxis kept taking us to the wrong one and as consequence I had to pay more. The Hotel was not listed on the taxis GPS'S. It was weird.

The location is very good, in a quiet residential neighborhood, with walking distance to metro station to famous sightseeing places. There are convenient store and several restaurants within 1 mins walk. The hotel’s free breakfast has many selections, in a sunny dinning room. Has lunch service but not dinner. The room is comfy but stained on the carpet, and hallway smell smoke to me. Overall it’s a good place to stay for 3 nights.

I stayed in a non-smoking room and floor, but the entire hall way was full with smoke and even my room had smoke come in through the AC vent. It was terrible and triggered my asthma and I had to go to hospital for treatment. This was unacceptable.
The bathroom in my room had watermarks on the ceiling, the toilet bowl had yellow marks on it, very unpleasant.

Actually it was instant booking and i wasnt expected to stay longer in biejing coz its just a day trip. went to the hotel and talk to receptionist and found out this hotel policy doesn't accept or accommodate a foreigner like me! It wasn't the hotel fault. It was hotels.com fault because the the first place why they post this hotel name online that doesn’t warned individual like me that this hotel have this policy? And also hotel.com make a policy non-refundable? Which now it happened that they cant refund me of the booking because they said they will review who's at fault? And i was talking to the receptionist while communicating with hotel.com agent at same time. I witnessed that the hotel management refunded and cancelled my booking to hotel.com. And hotel.com is denying and telling me theyre contacting or reaching the hotel or property couple times which i was there and was advise by hotel mngr couple times that i will get my refund thru hotel.com which they keep saying they refunded and cancelled my booking.

Convenient hotel, a bit out of the very touristic spot, but 10 minutes walk from both the Temple of Heaven and a Line8 Metro Station.
It's good hotel, but at least my room requires a renovation. It's a bit below the Holiday Inn standard in other countries.
I would still go back and stay, hopefully I was just unlucky with my room.
The staff is great and very helpful, all the time.

Air-conditioning is not turned on through out the day. Cooling is only operated in the evenings.

On the 1st day we complained about the warm temperature in the room. Receptionist claimed that they will send someone to check. But after 30-45 mins, no one arrived. Later on, they admitted that the air-conditioning was not turned on and couldn't give a clear time on when it will operate.

Front desk is not properly trained to address customer complaints. When we asked if we could move to another hotel, the girl said ok but no refund will be given. No apologies given on the lack of air-conditioning. This kind of attitude is not acceptable for a service oriented business.

The hotel was about 1 hour ride from Beijing Capital Airport (150 Yuan from airport and 110 to airport by taxi). We like the location a lot, within walking distance to Temple of Heaven, Qianmen, Tiananmen and Imperial Palace. Room was a bit old and the room service wasn’t really the best. Overall, it was a quiet and comfortable stay.

The breakfast spread was huge with a large selection. A seperatr mini-mart is just outside the front desk. Just be careful the guy who works in the morning gives you correct change back.

Close to Temple of Heaven but not the subway

From a western perspective, it was not a great hotel. I have stayed in other hotels in Beijing at the same price range (Grand Mercure, etc) and had a much better experience. Room was a bit on the shabby side for the price but it was at least clean and presentable. Hotel service was good. The only big bummer was the distance to the subway system (which is very easy to use as a tourist). It is about a mile from the subway line if not further. Since the subway system is the only cost effective way to access all of Beijing's tourist sites, this is a real drag. Given the inconvenience and better hotels in the price range, I would not recommend it. A decade ago this hotel was probably much better, but post-Olympics there are many modern western-style hotels far better for the price.

Thanks for lovely stay. We had no complaints :-) The area is quiet. The staff were helpful, breakfasts had great spread though the coffee could do with improving but everything else was yum, the room had good facilities (air-con, kettle/tea/coffee, comfy beds, safe, and wifi although that did drop off or stop at times). A bottle of water each was provided daily.
As you'd expect in a budget hotel, there was the odd cracked tile/carpet stain and some very slight damp at the corner of the shower cubicle, and the toilet flush needed tweaking at times, but these were minor problems that really did not bother us one bit and we still thought it was good value for money.
We liked the location and the fact that it was quite a distance (over one and a half km) from the nearest tube stations was fine for us, but it might be an issue for some. If you arrive at Beijing airport, allow two hours to get to the hotel, and expect a few tube line changes (not all with lifts so had to go up/down stairs) and the long walk from tube to hotel.
