Great apartments in a superb area.

A nice apartment in a quiet area, 5 minutes from the centre. The idea that you cleaned and tidied your room, threw out the rubbish and put your sheets etc to be washed caught me by surprise, but wasn't an issue for me.
The beds were very comfortable and I slept really well. Very well placed for cycling (secure storage) motorcycling and walking, especially for the Cirque du Gavarni, Col du Tourmalet etc, I look forward to going back later in the year.

Close to town, simple hotel

The hotel is very spartan, but would be perfect for staying with a large group during the ski season. Good parking and kitchenette of bringing your own supplies. The town is lovely and the locals are quite welcoming.

First thing is this isn't really a hotel. It's a short-term apartment rentals. We had a great 3-bedroom suite with a balcony & amazing view. Close to town and great skiing & hiking. Very clean and comfortable. Downsides: reception opening hours are short: DON'T GET THERE AFTER 8 PM OR YOU CAN'T CHECK IN. Pool & sauna hours also very short: just 3 hours per day. Last downside was only 1 toilet.

We arrive at noon and had to wait at 4pm to check in because the office was closed between 12 to 4pm. At check in we had a list of things to do when leaving the room, undo the bed, put all linens together to a basket downstairs, leave the room and drop all garbage at the front entrance of the property. The mattress was atrocious and we did not sleep all night it was so uncomfortable. The cleanest is at desired and I will not recommend that hotel.

Great location!

Very convenient location in Luz St Saveur. Perfect as a base for exploring the Hautes Pyrenees. We visited in early June and it was extremely quiet. Be aware that you are required to clean your own room prior to check-out or be charges a 80 EURO cleaning fee.

Perfect Location for Hiking Near Gavarnie

We stayed at this condo type property for four (4) nites and it was the perfect location for our hiking and sightseeing. The staff was excellent and very helpful. A couple of items were missing from our unit and they took care of it immediately. Others have commented on some negative experiences but we found none of that. WiFi is only available in the Reception area. I would have gladly paid additional to have it available in our unit. The bedroom area is quite small - just large enough for the bed but this is made up for by the generous family/living room/kitchen area. Our first impression after we checked in a headed to our unit was that the common areas looked very depressing and everything was concrete and then we opened the door to our unit and we were totally surprised. We later deduced that the concrete was there because of all the skiers and ski boots that would otherwise ruin other flooring. Parking is easy and plentiful and you can walk into Luz-Saint-Sauvere in about 5 minutes walking along the creek. There is a Carefour Market in the center of the city that will take care of most of your grocery needs.

This aparthotel is well maintained and in very good condition. The rooms are well-sized and clean. The location is just a few min walk to the center of town, which is a great location in the Pyrenees. There is ample free parking. It is great for families and groups. My only two wishes are 1) there was WiFi available in the rooms rather than just the lobby, which is a separate building; and 2) they provided a little more dishwasher soap and toilet paper if you're staying for more than 1-2 days.

Good place to base your exploration of the Pyrinee

Good and comfortable apartment. Take care to bring you own piece of soap and personal hygiene items. The complex has a nice swimming pool, half indoors and half outdoors. It has also a sauna.

Gloomy old Domaine Val de Roland

My wife and I arrived at the Domaine at 4-15 p.m. only to find the reception office
unmanned, after noting that reception times were clearly stated as between 4 p.m.
and 9 a.m.

After returning to Luz centre for grocery shopping, we came back to reception, and were
allocated room no. 214, which turned out to be the most gloomy room possible, given the
fact it was on the dark side of the Domaine. Upon returning to reception,we requested an alternative room on the Western side, i,e, to enjoy the maximum amount of sunshine
possible on the balcony, whilst enjoying our evening meal.

The response from the young female receptionist was absolutely abysmal, in that to quote
her exact words ' For one night only - you are only going to sleep there '. We were
flabbergasted at this reply, and were then told to obtain a change meant that the new room
would have to be cleaned.

We stuck to our guns and were most reluctantly given the the keys to room no.208.which
was perfectly placed to receive a further 2 hours of evening sunshine, and was in fact
was already clean throughout and most enjoyable that evening.

We would suggest, that in view of the above experience, that this employee be sent on the
next available Customer Care Training Course, given the fact she does not appreciate
customer's valid requests as such, in short, sort this girl out quickly before she upsets
more customers of Expedia.com.

Val de Roland - excellent little find, great value

I stayed here with my wife and 2 small children recently, we found it a lovely place to stay.
The appartments are what you need: clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, everything working as it should.
The location was great, close to the centre of the village, yet in a small quiet estate with lovely views.
The pool was an added bonus, perfect for the kids and the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room were also enjoyed!
Lovely, helpful and friendly staff too.
What more could you want?!

Too expensive when making your own bed!!!

Please be aware when you book this apartment/facility that the beds are not made, sheets are provided and residents make the beds and remove the sheets and towels from the room the morning after they stay. In addition, residents are expected to clean the apartment and the room is inspected at check out!. This was not clear on booking- you get a list of details at reception when you check in.The pool is small and the changing area for the pool was very wet and slippy. The aprtment we had was for 2 adults and 2 children and by anyone's standards was very small. Access to the double bed was at one side of the bed only, the roll out sofa bed was not working and the single bed was in a tiny room, which when you were in the room, nothing else could fit in. The shower was not connected to the wall and so you had to stand and hold the shower, or alternatively have a bath. The apartments however were clean and Luz St. Saveur is a beautiful place. We booked for a single night as we were on route elsewhere but it was very poor value for money.

Luz-Saint-Sauveur is a nice place to stay but don't look for anything fancy. The location is good for trips to Gavarnie (1/2 hour drive). Self catering was good option for our early starts on hiking days. Rather small pool is nice to lay in after long trail in mountains and sauna wasn't bad either.

When we arrived, we asked about Internet and were told that it was broken and would be repaired while we were out at dinner. Well, they actually meant it! We came back and everything was fine. That was our only problem with the whole visit, and I wouldn't even call that a problem.

The room was immaculate. It was also good-sized, with a large bathroom. Across the street from the hotel is a large public park with a playground.

The staff helped us find interesting things to do in the area and were very friendly.

Nice place to stay - but don;t expect service

Generally nice place - apartments are modern - generally clean - one of the bedrooms was pretty tiny and only just fitted a single bed but OK. However you have to make your own bed - sheets provided in the wardrobe - and you have to clean the apartment when you leave - do the floors, wash the benches, put all the linen out in the cleaners basket, etc - a bit surprised that apart from a broom there was very littlle cleaning gear provided - no sponge or cleaning cloths or cleaning sprays, etc. Also no food - salt/pepper/ etc is in the flat. So if you want to stay here bring everything as there aint much in the flat. Probably a good place to stay for a few nights as cleaning the place after 1 night stay is not great. Receptionist was lovely and helpful and pool/sauna faciliites were good. Beautiful area of the world - Pyrenees are amazing!

Bedden zijn net een lengte van 190cm voor Noord Europeanen echt te klein. Douche was ook erg krap qua afmetingen. We hadden een duplex appartement wat qua ruimte perfect was. TV was erg klein en qua zenders erg beperkt. Uitzicht was fantastisch. Ontbijt was voldoende maar niet erg uitgebreid.

Le logement classique pour 5 est vraiment juste en taille on est vite à l'étroit (2 adultes et 3 enfants ados et préados). Le rez-de-chaussée est un plus en été. Les services offerts par la résidence et l'accueil sont très appréciables (commande de pain et de viennoiserie, réservation d activités, renseignements et la piscine bien-sûr ). La résidence est bien située non loin du coeur de village de Luz et proche des beaux sites de randonnées.

Un endroit sympa et convivial pour un séjour en famille.
Proche a pieds du centre ville et proche des 2 stations, très pratique....et surtout, plein de balade à pieds aux alentours, notamment sur le GR10
Le confort du canapé lit est un poil juste et la chambre avec un lit simple aurait mérité un lit superposé.
L'espace piscine/spa est top, seul hic, les enfants sans les parents qui font n'importe quoi (crier, manger dans le sauna, laisser les portes ouvertes etc....)

Très bonne adresse à Luz St Sauveur, à proximité des stations de skis et des circuits de randonnées.
Établissement situé à 5 min à pied du centre ville.
Personnel très sympathique et disponible.
Appartement moderne, spacieux et très propres.
Lieux calme et reposant.
La piscine a été très apparecié après une journée de vélo...
À ne pas hésiter en famille, en couple ou entre amis pour un séjour à la montagne.

Séjour un peu court pour vraiment évaluer la résidence a sa juste valeur, toutefois très bon accueil, environnement idéal pour aller skier, les restaurants sont accessibles a pied.
Petits bémols il fait froid dans les wc et la salle de bain( le petit chauffage d'appoint est un peu juste), les portes des placards fonctionnent mal et la résidence peut être bruyante si les gens ne font pas attention ( insonorisation insuffisante)

Très agréable séjour

Cette résidence hôtelière est idéalement située au coeur de Luz Saint Sauveur. L'accès au centre est rapide. L'appartement était très propre et particulièrement bien conçu, avec de nombreux placards pour le rangement. L'endroit est calme et la vue sur les montagnes apaisante. Le personnel est disponible et très aimable, que ce soit à l'accueil ou la personne intervenant pour les problèmes pratiques, très agréable également. Le seul petit bémol concerne la piscine qui est prise d'assaut par les enfants et donc peu disponible pour les adultes, mais cela reste logique en période de vacances scolaires. En résumé, je conseille cette résidence à ceux qui prévoient de séjourner dans cette belle vallée pyrénéenne.

Résidence agréable

La résidence est au calme et proche du centre ville (5mn à pied). Petite piscine appréciable en fin de journée mais beaucoup d enfants y jouent dans peu de place donc nager et se détendre peut être difficile. Le Wi-Fi aurait été appréciable dans la chambre.

Bon séjour a la montagne

Séjour de ski avec les enfants. Bonne ambiance. Agréable et conviviale. Un bémol....le bruit des voisins qui rentrent tard.

Résidence charmante et coin calme

Une semaine excellente dans cette belle résidence situé à quelques mètres du centre ville de Luz Saint Sauveur et pourtant dans un coin calme avec belle vue. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un appartement avec terrasse, c'était génial. De plus, la résidence dispose d'un espace bien être bien entretenu, c'était parfait après des journées de marche ou ski.
Le personnel (tous) était souriant, aimable et courtois.
Agréable séjour, vraiment.

Buon appartamento a buon prezzo.

Siamo arrivati tardi alla sera e la reception era chiusa. Ci hanno lasciato un messaggio con l'appartamento aperto e non abbiamo avuto problemi. L'appartamento nel complesso era buono, le camere (2 oltre al soggiorno) erano molto piccole e difficilmente accessibili. La vista promessa era al di sotto delle aspettative perché le foto dell'annuncio riportavano un balcone affacciato sulle montagne, in realtà l'appartamento aveva una giardinetto con la stessa vista, ma con davanti una siepe alta. Molto buona la cortesia del personale alla mattina in reception. Sicuramente molto positivo il rapporto qualità prezzo.

1ere expérience

1ere expérience en résidence et nous ne sommes pas déçus. L'appartement ,adapté pour une personne à mobilité réduite, était très correct et disposait de tout le nécessaire de cuisine. La salle de bain avec douche à l'italienne était bien adaptée La literie et le linge étaient correct. La résidence était très calme. Nous garderons un bon souvenir.

Apartahotel para olvidar

Para no volver. Muy desagradable la recepcionista. Cobran por adelantado y tambien la fianza con amenas de ejecuatrla sino dejas la ahbitacion perfecta. Faltaban utensilios en el apartamento. Cagadas de pajaros por todos los pasillos que llevaban semanas sin limpiar. Y mil cosas mas que ni quiero recordar.

Bon rapport qualité-prix

Très bon accueil du personnel. Petit appartement au calme avec une belle vue sur la montagne. La piscine est agréable pour un moment de détente en fin de journée. Seul bémol il faut faire les lits à l'arrivée et le départ le matin n'est pas facilité par l'état des lieux bien lourd pour une seule nuit.

Résidence fonctionnelle à 5 minutes à pied du coeur des villages de Luz-St-Sauveur et Esquièze-Sère. Nous n'avons pas pris le temps de profiter de la piscine (qui n'est guère accueillante de prime abord).
La literie n'est vraiment pas confortable et doit avoir un certain âge...

Piscina muy bien, servicios varios cerca

Es la segunda vez que voy, el apartamento esta bien cuidado, eso si miran bien que lo dejes igual lo cual nos beneficia a todos.
El check in es hasta las doce de la noche, nos vino bien ya que salimos el viernes de santander y llegamos a las diez de la noche.
En general lo recomiendo, aunque lo que no me gusto fue que pedimos y pagamos un apartamento para seis, el de cinco cuesta menos y en el salon tuvimos que dormir dos en un sofa cama de 1,20 que para uno esta bien, pero no para dos personas ni aun siendo matrimonio, la proxima vez cogeremos un saco de acampada y un apartamento para cinco, se duerme mejor y se paga menos.
Por lo demas muy recomendable
