I stayed at Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort for 2 nights.

The resort is set in a truly beautiful location with a vast estate that feels very peaceful. The rooms are large, comfortable, and spotless, and the gym is well equipped. I was especially impressed with the food at the bar – the Gourmet Lamb Burger and the slow-cooked Veal Shank were outstanding. Staff throughout the hotel were welcoming and friendly, adding to the positive experience.

On the downside, breakfast was a little underwhelming – the choice was limited and the quality didn’t quite match the other dining experiences. Despite the estate’s size, there are no walking trails, which feels like a missed opportunity. Also, the tap water came out brown, which wasn’t ideal.

Overall, this is a solid 4-star experience – a beautiful place to relax with excellent bar food and friendly service, but with a few areas that could be improved.

Fabulous stay in a lovely suite with very comfortable facilities and bed.
The sitting area could do with some more glassed etc and since there is a fridge, some fresh milk?

Excellent food and service in the restaurant.

First impression on arrival is so cosy and warm due to the lovely festive decorations. Staff are super friendly too.

Enjoyed 3 night stay in the middle of a 12 day trip, clean and spacious rooms. Front desk and golf desk folks were very accommodating in helping us get rental clubs and tee times at the last minute. Breakfast was excellent and the food in the pub was good. We did not get to the fine dining restaurant because we didn’t have appropriate clothes with us. We liked it so much we added a night and cancelled our next stop.

Hard water area so kettle completely furred up & water was very high mineral content so hot drinks in the room were out as tasted disgusting.

Bathroom needed refurb - riser broken off shower - shower head up so high husband had to get it down for me!

The stay went very well. We enjoyed the hotel. The room was large enough and had a very comfortable bed. The shower was OK, but it struggled to maintain a constant hot water supply. Finally, there aren't fans or AC room controls. This is a bit substandard for my preference for environmental controls for a hotel room.

Excellent and exceptional facilities, staff and food. A little off the beaten track but a great golf course. The reason have not made this a 5 star review is that the noise from doors banging from the adjoining room were terrible, especially while cleaning was underway. I reported the issue on checkout and hope steps can be taken to reduce or eliminate the issue.

Beautiful driveway entrance to hotel which set the scene for our couple of days away. Used a tesco voucher which there were no issues with. Reception staff and all staff friendly. Lovely modern big room with balcony and big shower. Rituals soaps etc which was a treat. Ate both nights in bar. Food was good. Breakfast good choices. I had smoked salmon. Coffee good. Woukd stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Tulfarris Hotel. The food was excellent, room lovely and clean and great selection of channels and options for streaming.
One minor bug bearer was the over attentiveness at dinner time woth resfaurant staff asking every few minutes if everything was ok. Excellent chef though and food was perfect

From the moment we entered the hotel we were greeted with friendly faces. From the reception staff to the bar staff to the attentive restaurant manager and servers. Food was excellent, restaurant standard. Derek the manager couldn’t help us enough, and fitted us into a full restaurant, and both he and his staff were very knowledgeable with regards to the food and wine. All and all a lovely stay, a beautiful hotel, well maintained and beautiful views all around. It’s a long time since I’ve been able to give a flawless critique on a hotel but am only to happy to give one here. Thank you Tulfarris, your hotel and especially your staff are a credit to you.

Service was very perfunctory from check in to check out. Hard to get attention of staff at breakfast, and then cleared table when at buffet so had to scrounge up new cutlery. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, but not cleaned very well (wrapper on floor from perhaps a cigarette box, toilet not scrubbed). Overall, an ok stay.

with a late check in that night they were very helpful and Polite about it. the hotel was lovely and clean which i did like. The room tho was cold when i arrived ..yaa no heating on .. they did know i was coming as i had it booked weeks before hand.Not only that my Kettle didnt work either. so I rang .. or i tried ringing down too the reception too tell all. the Phone didnt work either. Pitty tho.. when i woke up next morning my view of the 18 hole golf course was amazing. would love too go back for the golf tho.

Lovely and warm. They're doing construction but there wasn't an inconvenience at all. Great food for late night dinners (especially since there isn't anything else around -- the tomato soup was fantastic, especially on a cold, soaking wet day). We didn't stay for breakfast but coffee to go was great and the staff were all friendly and excellent. LOVE the heated floors in the bathroom, and the fact that you can make the room as warm as you need! Very clean and comfortable. We aren't golf people so I cant comment on any of those things - but it was a great \"pit stop\" on our travels.

The staff were excellent, breakfast was delicious, I love the picturesque location. The property was very clean. My bedside lamp flickered, the bed was very springy waking my partner up each time I turned over, no bottles of drinking water in the room and the vending machine was out of order, the shower head sprayed the water in an unusual way sideways like a sprinkler, other room doors in the hotel bang at night. Overall this hotel was fabulous but could be even greater if they improved some of the little issues. Excellent value for money, we’ve been here twice and we’d go back again.

On arrival we were given a room without a golf course view- not what we had booked. I complained and we were given the correct room the next night as there wasn’t one available.
One evening I asked for a strawberry daquiri but was told the barman was too busy.
There was a trough sitting on the stairs to catch rainwater.
Overall this is not a 4 star hotel.

Non descript front to the hotel. Silly use of space in the foyer with the reception pushed off to one side which is immediately unwelcoming. The receptionist was fine - no great effort made, went through the routine speech. Room was clean etc. Bulb out in bathroom. Shower was extremely hot and couldn’t turn heat down so I ended up rinsing our my shampoo in the sink - pretty ridiculous. Bar was newly remodeled but the layout when you walk in isn’t appealing. Staff were fine but preoccupied- I wouldn’t like to see how they’d manage if it was busy. Food in the bar greatly overpriced- €4 for a small portion of fries with ketchup and a garlic sauce on the side. €5 for a pint of Guinness - makes Dublin City prices look cheap.

The grounds are beautiful, staff all very friendly and eager to please. Nice outdoor patio looking over the golf course. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked and smelt lovely with great views. Bar food was good but on the pricey side. We had a basic room it was just ok, not 4*. Nice wooden floor, good views over golf course but then ground floor people walk past, very dated, worn furniture, tiles modern in bathroom and elemis toiletries a plus, but we had serious issues with the extra low toilet bowl, not ideal for anyone but worse for anyone with mobility issues. Excluding the room I think it's a beautiful part of the world and the staff were very attentive.

Good location. Poor restaurant experience. Ordered a salad and when it arrived i noticed there were no pumpkin seeds. The waitress checked if they were supposed to be in the salad and said they were. I then waited 5 mins for her to bring some. It became obvoius that she was taking no further action so i spoke to her again. I waited again and she then came back and said they had no pumpkin seeds. I then ate the salad. I then realised there should have been avocado in the salad. To check this i went and looked at the menu outside the bar. I went and spoke to the reception ist and
Asked her to pass on a message to the manager that staff should tell you if they don't have all the ingredients. We got our bill for the meal but paid full price for the salad. The waitress said \"sorry about the pumpkin seeds\".

At breakfast pumpkin seeds were available.
