It’s recently been taken over by an Italian company so be aware there are not many English people but some staff have reasonable English, Rated 5 stars, was expecting something special rooms were basis with good size quality mattress (zip connected) A/c small fridge with option to purchase a mini bar that seemed expensive at €35-€55 for what you could typically get at the bar, we had 6 led’s flashing at night that were annoying fire/tv/ac/DTV/wifi/TV, plastic garden furniture and pillows were also a low point. We did encounter mosquitoes but that sometimes experienced, use phone to calm reception and they will come if necessary, I don’t like chemicals so opted for the wet towel, from the room to amenities it’s a nice walk 2 bars and the food hall 4 or so little shops & reception, self service drinks at the snack bar never seen the drinks machines switched off, larger, soft drinks, wine ,coffee. They did local cocktails and iced slush with AI, the food overall was good in comparison to other AI holidays, didn’t use the pool but it looked ok, although around the pool were brick paving that had deteriorated and uneven, needed a dry blow would make all the difference, the sun beds needed a wash/ replacement as they most were heavily worn and certainly not in the class of 5 star, the beach was beautiful down a slight slope or 50 or so steps there is a beach bar with snacks and refreshments toilet and shower, sands go on for miles, there are around 7 cat residents that are so cute

Excellent property, service and staff was exceptional. Food was decent. They had a lot of entertainment for guests, shopping for gifts and souvenirs was available. Pools were regularly cleaned, sunloungers were cleaned at the end of the day by staff too.
The only issue we had was after multiple phone calls to the spa we were not able to book an appointment because they had no availability for 2 days. The lady on the phone could not understand us and asked us to come to the spa. When we checked in went straight to the spa and she had no availability till after we checked out and that was very disappointing, had we known during our initial phone call we would had got a treatment elsewhere as that was the last place we stayed before flying.
Secondly, the coffee machines in the breakfast area were bad.

I loved this hotel - it’s well laid out, beautifully kept and our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant and snack bars was all fantastic and the staff were amazing. Really friendly, polite and helpful. The entertainment team were great fun and worked hard every day and the team on the beach and by the pool in the bar and on reception were also wonderful. Pool and beach amazing. This is a fabulous hotel

So many wonderful things to say about this hotel. Amazing staff - friendly and very well able to express a number of languages - very impressive.
Food was outstanding. I have never had such high quality food in an all-inclusive resort before. Huge range to cater to all diets; outstanding.
I found the basic double I was in a little rustic. A TV, aircon and not much else, not even a leaflet letting me know which amenities the hotel had to offer.
I thought it was a bit mercenary for the hotel to charge €40 a day for access to the room’s safe! The minibar was also chargeable but at an all
Inclusive resort, I can’t see how mini bars offer any value.
Boa Vista is an island in development. So flat and so windy (seriously, have never experienced anything like it). I did not find that there was much to do outside of the resort, but liked the undeveloped but clean beach. Hard to find the perfect balance…

The animation team and staff were anazing .lots of choice for food inc seafood . but if you only eat chicken and not red meat there wasnt white meat every day .but spoke to the manager and it was sorted ..the pool is large and kept sparkling .if you are looking for a hotel based holiday its great ..we done the island trip which was a brilliant day .and went to a beach bar for food and fire show you can get your own taxi .also to santa monica beach lovely food and beach .again get your own taxi ... not much in the town but nice to have a wander round .

The resort is on a beautiful beach with a lovely clean pool. Around the area there is very little and you need to arrange a taxi to go anywhere else.
The only restaurant open in a large buffet style and this does get repetitive.
The resort itself is quiet and peaceful with beautiful gardens. We used the spa and enjoyed the treatments.

Stunning beach and great value for money

All inclusive, very good value for money. We were in a suite with our 3 children overlooking the sea which was very comfortable and spacious. Children loved the food and drinks available all day. Beach is incredible but very windy, we loved it but you have to like warm wind! We walked all along the beach and there are some very impressive sand dunes that the kids loved playing in. Loads of kids games on offer with the animation team but my children don’t like this kind of thing, they preferred playing table tennis and swimming in the sea. We wanted to do some surfing but the waves are not great for this around the hotel. We went on a lovely long walk down the beach to the right to an amazing little cafe for lunch which I would highly recommend.
We only stayed for 3 days as we were in Sal for the rest of the week but it was the perfect amount of time and a very beautiful location.

We went to Boa Vista for 4 days and decided to say two days in Riu Palace and two days in Iberostar. Comparing these two hotels, Iberostar loses a lot, but it’s also cheaper. Where to start... The rooms are really basic, as those of a 2-3* hotel. TV in our room wasn’t working on the first day. The shower was broken. Check-in was hectic and the person wasn’t friendly at all. Food was okay, a bit basic, however, alcohol was quite bad (apart from occasional Aperols). Wine is not drinkable at all. The hotel looks very tired and it’s quite dirty as well. We saw a family bathing a toddler wearing a diaper (hopefully clean, but you never know) in the adults swimming pool for 30 minutes - no need to mention that we lost any desire to use this pool for the next few days. The spa was very dirty - dirty cups and orange peel everywhere, toilet in the spa was disgusting. There was absolutely nothing to do at the hotel in the evening when the shows weren’t there (there are shows 5 days a week). It's definitely the worst 5* I’ve seen in my life, but would be great for a 3*resort.

We stayed at the iberostar wc: 29:11:19 overall we enjoyed our stay. Food and drink were decent and staff very friendly and helpful. I’m not sure it’s worth the 5 star rating but would stay there again.
As a side note the hotel is 5 minutes drive from the airport ( although you don’t notice the airplanes) so transfers are very quick and cheap.

Great hotel with a large property area, beautiful flowers and greenery throughout. The beach is beautiful but it’s a bit far and have to climb up a hill to come back and there are not enough umbrellas for everyone. Otherwise it is absolutely stunning. The pools are great and are open till 8. There is smaller poop with a view of the ocean. Just stunning. I just wish they had sea water pools without so much chlorine. The food was the best. There is a huge variety and staff was very nice and allowed for guests to take food out and take it to the rooms which was great. They picked up the plates and cleared tables very fast. I just wish they served tea at dinner too, not just alcohol.
The reception staff was a bit of a disappointment. When we asked the ladies at the reception any question, they just didn’t know and didn’t bother to look up the answer. We still don’t know where they held fitness classes. During the last day I tried to call and ask for someone to help with the suitcases but no one from reception picked up the phone. They just need more people and training there.

Superb leisurely vacation in this QUALITY, laid back venue. Superb, helpful, friendly staff - tempting, tasty, varied non stop food / drink and spectacular views across the spectacular sea and dunes.
Kids club very good but not age related - one facility for all ages. Children attending tended to be sub 6 yrs. Main gripe was not the Hotel but the shambles of the arrivals process needed to enter the island. Despite \"Pre Registering\" for Air port tax (a lengthy process back home on line). the surly official (ONE ONLY for two flights) was dismissive, unhelpful and managed to spin the process out so that it took us over two hours to reach the head of the queue! NOT a great start to the vacation. Otherwise - a total delight!!!!!

Good all-inclusive hotel, direct at the beach with supervision. Food and drinks are all-inclusive, which means lower quality, as usual (no brand spirits or wines, for example). A bit far from everything, great only if you want to spend the holiday in the hotel - otherwise you need a car. Room had very thin walls, could listen to my neighbours' talk and also the close-by restaurant disco music. Sea view was a bit blocked, but OK.

My homble opion,
if you want to relax as a couple with a child, this is the place to be..
With the child friendly staff, excellent food, service, breathtaking view and animation, you have all the ingredients for a nice vacation.
If i could make a small remark, an upgrade of the showers is a must.
The WiFi is very poor but not of much importance to me. When you use the Wellness you must pay for it. Strange for a 5* hotel.

Keep up the good job.

A wonderful vacation

With the exception of the internet connectivity, everything was OUTSTANDING! From the welcoming, to the check-in, to the room, the service, the meals, the Staff and pools & beach, the shows and activities to the maids, cookers waiters and waitresses I can say that every little thing was looked after and the grounds, a paradise, meals breakfast, lunch and dinner and the restaurant food - let's just say if you couldn't find something you liked to eat then you didn't want to eat, they had everything, even theme nights, Chinese, Mexican, local dishes, not to mention seafood, meats pizza, and on & on and more! Cheses, ice cream, cakes, breads salads just fantastic and fresh!

The hotel was a little disappointing. Having booked and paid for a sea view room we expected to be on the beach front but we were set back and looked mainly onto two palm trees and other rooms and the sea was in the distance. Not that it mattered but we were supposed to have a sofa bed and mini bar in our room too. The hotel was nice enough, staff were friendly and worked hard but I wouldn't necessarily recommend. Didn't help that the swimming pool was also shut during our visit, although the small infinity pool was available. Whist we had a peasant stay I wouldn't be in a hurry to recommend the hotel to others.

Loved the Iberostar as it is not too big our room was so quiet and we weren't looked over by another room very well designed. Food excellent! Staff amazing and we were never pestered. The position is amazing looking over the fantastic beach...best beach I have ever been on.
Our only fault was that our shower was not very good very poor power, I did bring it to the attention of the reception and they did something but it wasn't great!

Superb rooms and staff (especially the animation team). Very good facilities. Excellent choice of food if you're not a fussy eater (although pizza, pasta etc available every day for those that are). Could do with a little bit of a facelift in places. Close to the airport for easy transfer (aircraft noise definitely not a problem - you can't hear them. The sea is louder). Beautiful beach but the sea can get rough (great waves though!) A few flies due to the climate which us Brits are not really used to but not particularly a problem for me. The night time turtle excursion with Giggling Geckos was not just a holiday highlight but a life highlight.

Pleasant hotel on the beach

I really enjoyed my stay at the Iberostar hotel in Boa Vista, Cape Verde. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
RECEPTION: The staff was helpful and knowledgable. They helped us with taxis, restaurant reservations, towel changes, repairing the fridge within about 18 hrs (it was broken when we arrived), maps, arranging for a courtesy room on our departure day, and any other questions that arose during our stay.
ROOMS: A good size w/ enough furniture to unpack comfortably. Always very clean & comfortable enough. Sheets changed on request, but towels everyday. Always 2 bottles of water (1,5 L) every day (+ unlimited supply of bottled water available @ buffet & beach bar). AC + TV worked great. Safe: had to pay the 16 euro @ reception before we could use it. Bathroom: shower (not a bath), toilet + bidet. Lots of hot water & water pressure OK.
BEACH: Awesome! Nice sand, clear blue water. It's a little ways down a slope. It IS windy, which is pleasant as it helps endure the heat. The sea is rather agitated: BIG waves + lots of current. Even good swimmers have to be VERY careful! There are fixed parasols and some mobile ones you can set up wherever you want with sun loungers. Beach bar for drinks.
POOL: Plenty of sun loungers + parasols. Pool bar for drinks + snacks.
FOOD: lots of variety @ buffet. Good service. Thanks Leidy!
ANIMATION: always lots to do if you want. Zoomba, aquafit, waterpolo, bow/arrow, step. Thanks to Yasmine & Monica (pipocas) for their liveliness!

Excellent stay for our honeymoon. Excellent hotel, quiet for couples and family with small children. The beach is amazing, wild, one of the best beaches in the world. Daily walks on the beach, safe, clean, alone, romantic, perfect stay. Try Santa Monica beach, short excursion from hotel, a great wild beach.

Hotel food is good, but it could be better. Best for fish lovers.

An Unforgettable Holiday

The hotel is small with only 245 rooms, which gives the Iberostar the advantage of having the personal touch as you quickly feel at ease and come to know the staff and entertainment team very well in a short space of time. Nothing is too much trouble and requests are dealt with very efficiently.

The entertainment team (Star Friends) are truly fabulous. They always have a smile on their face and are enthusiastic to ensure you are enjoying your day, however you do not feel under pressure to take part in activities that take place throughout the day, with a dance show every night choreographed and performed by the team.

There is a good variety of alcoholic drinks and the cocktails are of excellent quality - although not branded the drinks still taste great! I was surprised at the quality of food and drink as my past experiences of all inclusive hotels have not been great. Fish and meat is cooked while you wait and at breakfast we even had smoked salmon!

If you are booking independently and wish to take part in an excursion, I highly recommend speaking to the tour guides situated in reception.

All in all this was one of the best holidays I have had - although the weather was not always sunny and there is often a breeze do not underestimate the UV rays - I have a super tan for February.

Beautiful Beach and Pool, Fantastic Food

Perfect hotel for a nice relaxing week in the sun. The beach was amazing and we enjoyed lovely romantic walks along it. The pool was huge and although it was cold it was very refreshing! Also enjoyed some spa treatments at the hotel which I would recommend. The food was great, lots of variety and always warm. We especially enjoyed the desserts, pancakes and the ice cream. The entertainment team were great, with lots of activities to get involved in if you so desired. All in all had an amazing holiday and would recommend the hotel.

Good international hotel - superb service

This very nice hotel has a high quality in many ways. Spectacularly situated, with a magnificent view over a unique and almost endless beach of best quality. (However, somewhat windy during our stay). Nice and clean all over the hotel. An indeed very well-supplied and proper buffet. Everywhere a particularly efficient, smiling and allways helpful staff. The great elegant pool area, appeared densely populated with lots of trivial pop- and disco music. A pity, when thinking of the rich music culture typical for Cape Verde. We recommend Iberostar for anyone to be spoiled with a luxury sunny holiday, but you should not be expecting a lot of a local atmosphere. We did not get the impression that the hotel worries much about the environment. For example, towels were shifted everyday.

Les chambres sont confortables et propres. Nous avons eu un petit inconvénient avec le wc, mais rien de très dérangeant.

- we zaten in een (nog) niet gerenoveerde kamer die het nivo had van 3 sterren i.p.v. de 5 sterren die het hotel pretendeert te hebben.
Maar de lokatie en kwaliteit van het eten maakte veel goed.

Stranden är magisk

Hotellet är stort och välskött men inte alls 5 stjärnor, snarare 3. De mindre rummen något slitna och badrummen är nedgånga. Maten och dryck är ok, men inte mer. Är man känslig mot flugor och katter så ska man inte äta ute. Att veranda bord är vingligt säger en del om kvaliteten och kunskapen hos servicepersonal. Läget är helt fantastiskt dock med härlig strand i världsklass och man får en känsla av ensamhet. Bra att veta är att passkontrollen på Boa Vista flygplats går extremt långsamt. Som EU-medborgare kan man betala skatt och visum i förtid och spara massa tid vid ankomst. Hotellkedjan är italiensk och mycket av ”underhållning” samt information är på italienska. Alla aktiviteter och gymmet på hotellet är slitna.

La struttura è bella e ben integrata nell'ambiente. Ottima ecosostenibilità. Camere spaziose e ben curate. Panorama favoloso. Volendo trovare il pelo nell'uovo potrei suggerire di migliorare il servizio cucina comuqnue buono (piatti un pochino ripetitivi e pochissima frutta fresca).

Det här hotellet fick mig att ändra hela min upplevelse av Boa Vista till något fantastiskt positivt. Personalen service inriktad ett personligt hotell i fantastisk omgivning, en animationsgrupp som är roliga trevliga utan att vara på. Varje dag nya teman på mat och aktiviteter. Jag är så tacksam över att ha vistats på denna pärla till Hotell.

Un paradiso. Oasi di felicità, divertimento,allegria e del buon cibo. Stupendi pranzi e cene e colazioni sopra la media. Personale cortese e gentile, Pablo direttore della struttura sempre presente e pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. Camere confortevoli pulite e spaziose. Spiaggia a pochi passi dalle dune con sabbia bianca cristallina. I ragazzi dell' animazione fantastici. Spettacoli serali e discoteca. Piscine ampie e pulite. Ottimo la spa seppur a pagamento. Consiglio non andateci solo per una settimana... State di più!!!!

Pulizia, qualità del cibo, Wi-Fi potente, cortesia e simpatia del personale. Tutto eccellente. Ottima anche la spiaggia con servizi e sport. Surf, Kite ecc (questi ultimi a pagamento). Posizione favolosa, sensazione di sicurezza.

La stanza invece non granché perché la toilet non funzionava e anche avendo segnalato il problema più volte non è stata sistemata. Mancano le prese di corrente ai lati del letto. Uno dei due materassi era rotto.

Pulizia molto bene, aria condizionata molto bene.

Struttura fantastica con qualche dubbio però

Capo Verde è un’isola che tutti dovrebbero visitare. Specialmente Boa Vista. La struttura è bella ma soprattutto si trova nella zona di mare a mio parere con la spiaggia più bella. L’unico problema è una piccola colonia di gatti presenti presso la struttura che non disturbano e sono tanto cari agi ospiti ma hanno un po’ di problemi di tipo sanitario (pulci ecc) che si potrebbero curare con poco sforzo economico. Questi felini danno a mio parere un tocco in più alla struttura perché non tenerli sanitariamente a posto?
Inoltre sull’isola ci sono miliardi di “moschitos” (zanzare). Ovviamente la struttura (come anche tutte le altre del luogo) utilizza insetticidi non chiaramente identificati. Sarebbe bello avere una informazione sulle caratteristiche dei prodotti usati per capire se hanno origini naturali o meno (le zone del continente africano non godono tanto di garanzie di sicurezza su quanto viene utilizzato di chimico).
Per il resto la struttura è fantastica!

L' hôtel est vétuste dans son ensemble, malgré un ménage correctement fait, l'hôtel a vraiment besoin d'une rénovation global.
La climatisation de ma chambre fuyait, l'éclairage du lavabo scintillait est nous réveillait la nuit, le SPA est dans un état catastrophique, il n'y a pas assez de transats pour tout le monde est encore moins de parasols.
Le pire est au restaurant buffet, les règles d'hygiène ne sont respectées ni par l'établissement ( beurre fondu,. Fromage ramoli, tartares saumon non réfrigéré) et les clients aussi ne respectent rien ( doigt dans le nez puis sur les pinces pour ce servir)
Le pire est au check out , ils m'ont rajouter des cocktails soit disant en supplément, heureusement que j'ai noté mes consommations, je pense que c'est un stratagème mis en place exprès.
Par contre le paysage est magnifique et le service de location de voiture est top

Hotel je moc hezky, velmi upraveny a udrzovany v naproste cistote. Vsude krasna vegetace, palmy, kvetouci kere, atd. Plaz nadherna, more ma dost velky priboj, dobre pro lidi, co maji radi \"skotacehi\" ve vlnach. V zimnim obdobi dost vetrno, pri opalovani ochlazuje. Personal velmi profesionalni a pratelsky. Nam naprosto vyhovoval. Jedine, co bych si prala, aby byla voda v bazenu teplejsi.

Personnel au petit soin. Hygiène parfaite grâce au personnel qui nettoie tout tous le temps.
Petit message aux touristes : achetez dans les mains des locaux et non dans l’hôtel qui n’appartient pas au cap verdien mais a des étrangers, il y a beaucoup de pauvreté sur l’île et il faut les soutenir en achetant dans les mains des habitants !

Sehr schöne Hotelanlage mit einem traumhaften Strand. Besonders begeistert waren wir vom Essen im Hotel, sowohl morgens, mittags als auch abends absolut zu empfehlen. Die Anlage ist sauber und gepflegt und es wird sich jederzeit im alle Anliegen gekümmert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Il posto e’ molto bello sia dal punto di vista della struttura e sia da quello della natura.
La posizione dell’hotel consente infatti in pochi minuti di arrivare alla spiaggia , veramente spettacolare con i suoi colori .
Anche il vento contribuisce a rendere il tutto ancora più selvaggio e naturale e non infastidisce assolutamente .
Una vacanza che consiglio assolutamente .
Si cammina, ci si rilassa, si mangia bene.
Consigliabile sia da soli sia in compagnia.

De ligging was uniek, dit was (momenteel) het laatste hotel van het strand met als gevolg dat je een enorm strand voor jou alleen had ! Het hotel was super net, het buffet was top, de kamers verdienen een update quoi badkamer en meubilair maar al bij al zeer net. Ook de tegels aan het zwembad mogen vervangen worden, deze staan hier en daar los.
Prijs/kwaliteit was dit hotel zeer oke

Personalen i restaurangen/barerna och underhållningen va helt suveräna. Maten är jätte fräsch men blir enformig efter 14 dagar. Ett minus är all-inclusive dryckerna, vinerna går inte att dricka och dem enda drinkar som gick att dricka var pinacolada, mojito, gin och tonic. Rummen är fräscha men inte mer än så. Vi vart lovade ett med havsutsikt men dem återkom aldrig trots att vi frågade 2 gånger. Skulle inte rekommendera detta för den rastlöse då det inte finns så mycket att göra men för oss var det en kanon semester med total avkoppling.

Obwohl wir keine Clubhotelfreunde sind, hat uns das Iberostar eines anderen belehrt. Die Anlage ist wunderschön, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit.Die Gäste verlaufen sich. Liegestühle waren genügend frei und vorhanden. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Hotel a villaggio con bungalow multipli con doppia piscina e accesso attrezzato al mare sulla splendida spiaggia di Chavez.
Camere semplici, pulite e confortevoli. Ristorazione eccellente a buffet con ogni giorno, offerta di aperitivo e digestivo alcolici (Martini, spumante, Daikiri, Blue Lagoon etc). Secondo ristorante con menu a pagamento, se si vuole.
Trattamento di all inclusive senza pecche, personale gentilissimo e amorevole. Animazione discreta e non invadente.
Unica piccola pecca, servizio bagnino in spiaggia approssimativo, i ragazzi giocano a pallone. In alcune ore della giornata, lettini indisponibili.
Consigliatissimo !

Villaggio di alta qualità sia dal punto di vista della struttura, che dei servizi, pulizia, manutenzione, personale, ristorazione. Tutto organizzato con cura ed efficienza. Il personale (camerieri, pulizie, manutentori, receptionist...) è sempre sorridente e attento al tuo benessere. Non manca mai un:\"tutto bene?
