My biggest gripe is at least one outside door has a crummy card reader. I had them reprogrammed and they worked once out of the 4 times I tried. This is obviously a place that had greater grandeur in mind once than it displays now. The breakfast was a real hot eggs/sausage type and not the dreaded "continental" style which is all carbs. Short stay on business travel, otherwise non-eventful.

Disappointing! Overall conditions were adequate but aging. The shower squeaked when using. The hot tub was not in service. The second bed too close to the wall to get out on that side. And there was no breakfast food available at 8:30 AM. A young girl was doing her best to get the refilled, management was nowhere to be seen. The quality Inn did not have the quality promised.

The bathroom sinks drain was slow draining. The showers grout and walls were showing rust and mildew. The light fixture in the bathroom was about to fall off. The bed spread had a stain. The carpet in the hallway needed cleaning. The door to the parking lot should have automatically locked when it closed for security but didn’t. If I was staying longer I would have asked for a different room. Stayed one night.

The cost was absolutely ridiculous for the "quality" of the place. Wall paper was coming off the wall, shower head had black mold or residue in it, carpet was discussing, half of gym equipment was broken, hot tub out of order, pool had darker brown stains on bottom floor of pool. The lighting in the hallway was sketch because everything was dark. The only thing that stood out was the breakfast.

Over all it was a good stay. The room was nice. It was clean. Maintenance of the room was good. Didn’t have much to offer for breakfast. The muffins were terrible dry. The coffee didn’t have much flavor. At entrance #2 the outside door could just be pulled open. It never locked. That is very bad for security.

The employees at the front desk were unfriendly when we showed up, the hot tub was out of commission, the pool got shut down due to lighting despite being an indoor pool, half of the equipment in the fitness room was broken, the beds are on wheels so they take off if you try to sit against the headboard, and the ice machine was garbage. On the positive side, there is a working sauna, the beds are very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower is great.

Rooms where wonderful, bedding soft and light nade you feel like sleeping on clouds.

Bathroom was stunning!

Hallways look a bit shabby but thr rooms take your breath away dont be decieved by those hallways.

Amenities are on the first floor make sure you lool at the map inside the binder to find places easier.

The customer service that we were provided during our 2 day stay. Nicole who checked is abd helped us with numerous issues given we are seniors and technology impaired. Lol. Special thanks to the maintenance man (tall with ponytail) and manager who helped us on 2nd day of our stay. Neglected to grt their names so y apologies. Was able to maneuver wheel chair in room. Shower was awesome! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. If we ever need a hotel in Rhinelander this will be our choice for sure.

This hotel needs an overhaul the rooms are terrible old stained chairs and it smells like cat pee. The windows leak so you cannot see out of them. The parking lot needs to be completely redone. This used to be a very good hotel but it’s definitely not now. Really disappointed.

It's a pretty old place, reasonably clean and maintained. The air conditioner was terribly noisy so we didn't run it much, which may be why the room felt 'muggy' and the carpet seemed slightly damp to bare feet. The shower flow was barely adequate. The pool looked nice but we didn't have suits with us. There was only housekeeping staff two out of three days.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was updated, but the heat pump has to run continuously to keep up with the cooling needs and very annoying. Breakfast is "low budget" with only the basics, most of my family didn't bother to go down for breakfast after the first morning. The back parking lot has the biggest heaves and bumps in a parking lot that I have ever seen, beware if you drive back there. One of the rear security doors did not lock so anyone can come into the building. There is no elevator. There are better options within 5 minutes!

The one negative about my stay was the wifi. It worked better with my laptop than my phone. However, it was intermittent and unreliable. I expect good wifi when I pay over $100 for a room

However, they accommodated us and our pet anyway. Hallways outside of the room were dated and needing to be changed. Two of the ice makers were out of order.

When purchasing this room I was under the impression I would have the king bed with the updated room as shown in the pictures but when I arrived the room was not as shown in the pictures and the bathroom sink was not cleaned well. The reused toilet paper from the last persons stay instead of placing a new roll on the toilet paper holder and it was gross.

Our room never was supplied with towels in the bathroom. It was fairly clean too. Need a different kleenex box cover.

Hot tub was not in service and sounds like it is eliminated or will be eliminated from the swimming area. I probably wont stay here again.

The hotel is going through a remodeling and is going to be beautiful! Breakfast was good and plentiful..Aside from the forgotten. Men's underwear hanging behind the bathroom door from the last guest everything was great. When I approached the front desk the next morning to mention it, I was met by a less then friendly manager who seemed rather suspicious that I didn't immediately come down to the front desk and complain the night before when we found it. After diving 11 hours 4 of which was in a bad snowstorm and arriving after 1 in the morning I just wanted to get some sleep. My 2 friends and I promptly checked out..

I think this is my first bad review. Maybe they are short staffed because everyone seems to be, but it was like they did a superficial clean and left. The bathroom had something like dry wall chips on the edge of the bath tub, hair and open used soap in the bathroom and no towels at all. I moved the night stand to use plug in and there were pretzels on the floor next to the bed. No top sheet on the beds. The screen was sitting outside of the window. They did bring towels in less than 5 minutes after calling and leaving a message. ( found the other stuff after) The breakfast was nice enough.

The room was nice and clean, but the hall was not very nice. There are no elevators to the second floor and the stairwell we used was tight. We were in Hayward for a bike race, and lack of elevators and the tight stairwell was a bit of a struggle for my daughter when she was carrying her bike. Our room was otherwise nice and the beds comfortable.

The check in went smoothly. The front desk staff was not friendly. We walked in and stood there for a minute as we didnt see anyone. After looking around noticed the attendant was sitting behind the desk the whole time and didnt bother to greet us.

The room smelled of cinnamon air freshener and Marijuana. You could not walk around without shoes on because the floor was filthy. The top blanket covers on both beds were dirty. The actual blankets and sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean.

The pool was nice, the whirpool was out of order.

Overall not a horrible place for the price but, I would expect the rooms to be clean.

We had paid for an upgraded/remodeled king bed room, but once we arrived the man at the front desk told us they only have a handicapped king available and we would not be getting a remodeled room that we paid an extra $100 for! There was no water pressure and the water didn’t become hot until the shower was on for 10 minutes! I’m so disappointed.

Lipstick on a pig. The room was updated but dirty. Wood floor had so much filth on it we had to wear shoes the entire stay. Dragged a towel across the floor and it was brown.

Upon entering our room the air was stale so tried to open the window and let it air out, but there was a hole in the screen and wasps were entering through it so I had to close it quickly.
Went to front desk and they gave us a another room. Went to open the window and the screen was damaged too! Noticed that although the room was remodeled there was small holes in the room walls, the bath tub had big scratches in it. The air conditioner was very old and had only numbers for settings rather than an actual temperature setting. We were hot the 1st night and freezing the second night. Noticed door tiles missing by one of the entrance doors. Upon walking outside the hotel looking at the windows I noticed one of the windows had tape holding the window together and other damaged screens. Although the hotel is being remodeled there is shoddy workmanship and the maintenance is just not being done. The breakfast is always for the southern folk with grits and some spicy spam hash mix. Never seen bacon or omelet dishes like other similar priced hotels we have stayed at in the area. We've stayed here before and it's always a mixed bag on the quality of room we receive.

Mold in shower every where, floe scent light in bathroom burned out. Had to use the heat lamp for light. Clock didn’t work. Key cards didn't work on outside -side doors then had to get it rekeyed then still didn’t randomly didn’t work. Dirty rooms. Not worth the 240.00 per day. One of the worst rooms I have stayed in. Drain in the sink wouldn’t drain… parking lot is in terrible shape. Good thing I had an SUV or it would have bottomed out my car.

Need more. Not going back there again!
