The restaurant, the location, the staff, all wonderful. The room, not so much. The mattress was horrible with broken springs and a huge dip on the edges. The bathroom was without any privacy in the room. Who in their right mind wants to use the toilet while everyone in the room can see? There was no privacy in the bathroom. I would consider it such a drawback that I would give zero stars for the hotel but I give a three simply for the restaurant and staff. I will probably never stay their again, which is sad, because I go often to Timișoara.

We loved our stay here. It was a true oasis compared to Bucharest. We felt relaxed and it was a charming, welcoming base to explore the city. The garden, the pool, the food options, the library were all great. Our teenage daughters loved the pool and the rooms. It is not in quite the historical centre but very close - 15 walking and a quick Uber ride. We would return! A great stay and introduction to Timișoara.

Location is very good-walking distance to the city-center. The garden is amazing. Pool looks nice (I had no time to use it).
But the bed in our room (room 20) must be repaired/replaced the bed was damaged and made us feel very tired in the morning. We didn’t sleep well.
And better change the coffee supplier. Select a better coffee. It is so nice to have a coffee in your garden.

Comfortable hotel with lovely pool

The hotel was great for an overnight stay, well maintained and comfortable. It is basic in construction, but clean. The pool was lovely to sit beside, but with swimming restricted to before 8pm we didn’t get a chance. Beds were comfy and bathrooms fine, a bit small and one room had glass doors and walls to the bathroom which isn’t much fun if you’re sharing a room. Otherwise it was great.

An amazing hotel short walk from city centre and river. Staff are so attentive, helpful and happy - nothing is too much bother. Lovely restaurant and good value menu. Pool area is quiet, clean and very relaxing. Our 3rd visit to this hotel since 2012 and nothing changes.

Beautiful grounds and decor in the main areas. Restaurant is delicious, busy, and well priced. Pool is incredible. Rooms are a bit dated but the price point is perfect for the location and overall grounds make you feel like you’re in a palace.

Parking was on the stree in front of the hotel, only few places but with security camera. Hotel is very nice and cozy. Very clean room and confortable bed. Restaurant offered complementary drinks and the food is traditional and very tasty.
Loved the pool and also spa services. 100% Recommend !

Very friendly service, and the pool and patio are great. The room was nice, only complaints were the room was VERY hot and the vent only blew hot air (reported to staff but their suggestion didn’t work). Also the area around the property seemed a bit sketchy, especially between the hotel and the old town. The restaurant offered great food and outdoor seating but the service was not very good. We were the only ones there and the service was still very slow. Had to get our own napkins and salt off another table. Water never got refilled. Inattentive service at all levels at the restaurant

A beautiful hotel, in a quiet spot away from the city centre. The pool was ideal with the hot weather. Breakfast is a bit average but the daytime food offering is very good and there were plenty of staff available to help. Only downside was the lack of free airport shuttle, which I feel they selectively use to entice high-value customers.

The hotel setting is quaint and beautiful. I was there on snowy weekend and it was so peaceful and lovely there. The food was excellent too. Comfy rooms although a little dated (small TV, no desk, small shower)

The property was quaint and lovely. Unfortunately I was there during a wedding reception which was held in the pool area and open air restaurant outside my room and went all night. Also, my tour guide asked if I could grab something from the breakfast bar I'd paid for 15 minutes prior to their official open time to accommodate our tour; they said yes, but when I went down to the breakfast bar the servers had limited English and just kept telling me to come back at 8. They did offer me coffee while I waited which was kind. (Plus there was a BIG spider on the wall in my room.)

A hotel much larger than it appears from the street, with a beautiful pool and restaurant.

Nostalgic childhood home, great hospitality staff.

The architecture, the furniture, the warm hospitality make me think to return to the Casa del Sole (The Sun's House) as soon as I can. The entire staff is wonderful , and I like to thank Danny, one of the waiters who helped us with the luggage at arrival on the...staircase! The food at the restaurant adjacent to the pool was fresh, and local.

The staff's non-show attitude enriches the beauty and tranquility of this home away from home.Even the sweet cat's welcome at the staircase base adds a lot to the comfort of a short vacation making you ignore that the living room TV is not working!

A pleasant stay

Spent 3 nights here during a business trip. The receptionist at check in and out was ver efficient and polite. My room was a single, with a small twin bed. The shower was small but did the job. A full breakfast was included in the room rate. I ate lunch and 2 dinners in the restaurant and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The wait staff were very helpful with recommendations.

Great location. Cozy hotel.

Casa del Sole has a fantastic restaurant attached to it, which may be it's greatest attraction for me. The rooms feel homey, with large wooden furniture instead of the more neutral corporate feel of many other hotels. Location can't be beat. It's less than 1km from the city center with very accessible parking.

Comfortable rooms in main house, though space not great, beds firm, warm and blinds on windows. The hotel has a lounge to use, summer a nice outdoor pool, restaurant open until midnight which serves very good food
Breakfast we enjoyed fresh fruit chopped up! Requested t bags which did not happen as waitress English not so great but apart from that she was very helpful, hit foods available also.

I liked: pool, gym, peaceful room, restaurant, the junior suite was ok. Food at restaurant was good, if pricey. Lots of hotel cats around.

I did not like: the bed was not as good as other hotels: the mattress was a little hard and some creaking sound from bed.

I would stay again, nice hotel.

Very nice boutique hotel in Timisoara

We booked our hotel,flights and car with Expedia and we chose Timisoara because it had a local airport we could fly into with Lufthansa. The reason we travelled there was because our son who lives in Abu Dhabi was on holiday in Arad with his wife whose parents live in Arad.So we came to see some properties they owned and also looked at a new flat he purchased on this trip.
We chose the hotel on the Expedia site last February and when we stayed there we were very happy with our choice.
The Romanian relatives who visited were equally surprised how nice the hotel was and they had never seen it before as it was tucked away down a small street outside the centre of town.

I will book again

This was my second visit to Timisoara. I can safely say I will always book this hotel when I return. It was excellent. Food was great. Pool and hot tub and sauna were excellent and clean. I have no complaints at all.

Best place to stay in Timisoara

Loved the hotel. Have reccomended it to all my friends and family. The level of service was excellent, particularly that of Cristina and Laury. The food in the restaurant to die for. And the swimming pool very enjoyable, specially during that mini heat wave.

Great small pastoral hotel, Hacienda style

Restaurant and Pool in the center, surrounded by the Rooms spread across several small buildings

Hotel is close to the center, a few min walk and serves Good Food
Clean hotel with a very friendly staff, a very nice place to stay

Attention points:
- Rooms are spread over 3 floor buildings but with no elevator, take into account if you need one
- Standard Room is small, for small fee there is an upgrade option to a larger room, something I will definitely use next time
- Food service requires \"patience\", come relaxed

Super nette Mitarbeiter, großes Zimmer für niedrigen Preis. Einrichtung urig aber süß. Ich habe leider eine Hausstauballergie und konnte die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen… durch die vielen Textilien nicht auszuhalten. Für Allergiker eher weniger geeignet. Ruhige Gegend und für den Sommer ein schön großer Pool.
