Staff were Friendly and nice. Outside the property is nice. Food is good. We got a room in ground floor overlooking a neighbor house. Fence only had few trees and some sort of a roofing material (takaran sheets). People are constantly walking by the room and looking inside. Because of it, we were unable to leave the blinds open. Hotel is run down, old age shows in room and bathroom. Bathroom fan was loud and my son was scared to go in . I had to ask for extra TP. I had 1/10 of a TP roll and 1/2 TP roll to start. Horrible room. We were unable to figure out how to operate the TV. Two remotes should come with an instruction manual. It’s an ok place to stay. For the price, not worth it.

The Heritage is set in a fabulous location, in magnificent grounds on the edge of a lake, peaceful and comfortable. Yet in easy reach of the Sacred City. The staff were helpful and breakfasts superb.

It looked like Heritage Hotel had seen better days. The staff were good and helpful. The first night the electronic door lock would make the kind of noise it made when in opening mode. Staff fixed it by disabling the lock to be purely mechanical.

The staff is great. They are accommodating and attentive. We had no problems with the staff at all.
However, this hotel is old and has not been updated or even maintained properly. The carpeted rooms smell so bad. We had them move us from our initial room because of the carpet smell to another that was only slightly better.

The bathrooms dont seem to be cleaned thoroughly between guests. The shower glass is cloudy with hard water stains. The sink and surround was also dirty with water spots. The paint is stained and the walls look dirty. The toilet had a ring of filth at the water line. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable
The dining area had peeling wallpaper and old paint.
The food is below average at best. Each meal was disappointing. No taste and bland.
We left early because we had enough, we booked for 3 days and stayed only for 2 days. We booked another hotel and completed our vacation.
Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, until issues above are fixed. We also met senior management who described why the hotel in such condition, seems excuses to us, but if you are opening for business then the property should be in a good condition.

Perfect location but a little run down

The Heritage is in a fantastic location, right on the lake and only a short Tuk-Tuk ride from the historic sites. We were greeted with friendly staff who were helpful. However we felt the place was a little run down and not very clean.

Good base to explore the city.

This is quite a large hotel, but not many guests were staying when we were there. The rooms were well loved but clean. The service was great and the staff were happy enough to open up the pool bar and sports bar for us to have a pre dinner drink. The staff even organised for us to hire bikes, so we could ride around the lake and visit the temples.
The pool was great for a cool down at the end of the day.
There is not much in the way of restaurants around the hotel, but the food in the hotel is delicious and affordable.

The Swimming Pool was not in operation (I booked this hotel mainly because of the Swimming Pool).
The Minibar was not working (when complaining, they came and told it was working even though it was not getting cold).
It was a wet bathroom as the water splashes out of the shower cubicle.
Even though I checked-in at 9pm I was asked to leave at noon or pay Rs.2,500 for every hour I stay.

Location by the lake. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom was clean but there was a small water leak. I only stayed for one night and did not bother asking them to fix it. Did let them know there was a leak when leaving and they were very sorry about it and asked why i did not let them know earlier.

Felt this hotel has great potential as the grounds are beautiful and the lobby is as well. The pool was great although it had a poolside bar but no one attending it. The room was spacious but very worn as well as the towels and bedding. It was clean enough. The bathroom had a very strong odor - not sure if it was an air freshener but it was very overwhelming. The food was average. The service was friendly. But was just disappointed for the missing upkeep of this hotel

Great service from the minute we stepped in. We were a little late for lunch but the staff accommodated us anyways. If you’re visiting Anuradhapura this is a great place to stay.

Nice place, good service, value for money

Service was really great as they worked hard to get us in a room when we showed up early and tired from a flight. Plus the room, amenities and general service was one of the nicest we stayed in during our trip in Sri Lanka. It’s not a luxury resort but it’s Great value for money

Service very poor & wouldn’t recommend.

We called reception for assistance and room service but it was very poor as they wouldn’t send any staff up to the room for a ridiculous amount of time. Also in one of our rooms the tv wasn’t working but they wasn’t able to fix it
For the 3 days we stayed there. Overall wasn’t great but would not recommend to a friend.

Hotel need renovation.Not clean.Better reception.

When we check in at the hotel. They did not have our reservation. We had 3 room book for 3 couple and they gave our room we book to different guest. It was their head office fault. Hotel need renovation. Food was not that good. The room was not that clean. They gave us free dinner because of the mistake they have done. Pool was good. In order to get more tourist this hotel need to doa complete renovation.

Overall this hotel was good. However there were two bad things about this hotel. Firstly the food was terrible, no taste at all. Secondly there were almost no cold water in the shower, so either you will burn from hot water or u will have to shower with little to no water

Need improvements in below areas,

Shower and Bath Handle should be Replaced/Upgraded in the room I stayed
Door lock was hard to turn.
It would be good if the Hotel supply power using a generator when the power is gone.

Pleasant hotel.

I had a nice stay at this hotel.
Comfortable and reasonably priced.
Lovely pool (see below).
The staff were friendly and helpful. They called me when I didn't attend breakfast and then delivered a lovely breakfast to my room.
I visited the most important sites of Anuradhapura in one afternoon/evening. It was a memorable experience and there was a lot to see.

Hotel was adequate but there were some shortcomings, which we mentioned to the staff who promised to rectify them, e.g. some items such as bedside lamps and soap holders, had fallen off and not been re-fixed. Items such as spoons and crockery was not replaced in time in the dining room, though they were promptly replaced when it was pointed out. Staff was friendly and helpful and room was fine. Location, close to the Lake was very good.

すべてカビ臭い

宿泊した部屋の冷房がカビ臭く、シーツも黒く汚れていたり、枕も使えないほど臭く、バスタオルもカビ臭かった。
チェックインのスタッフの対応は良かったので部屋のコンディションさえ良ければよいのに、という印象。部屋によって違うのかもしれないがそんなに安くないのにこれはいただけない。

Le 2ème jour la chambre n'était pas nettoyée du tout! Vieux bouts de tapis dans le couloir! Staff géntil,le petit-déjeuner très banal,le dînner très correct.
Bien situé,grande chambre,mais besoin de rafréchissement en géneral.

nous avons passé 2 jours en famille dans cet hôtel accueillant ,beau jardin et belle piscine,
belle vue sur le lac et les stupas en sortant de l’hôtel
un peu déçue du buffet trop épicé pour les étrangers que nous sommes !

隠れ家のような場所にあるホテル

泊まる分には問題ありません。

早朝チェックアウトする旨を伝え、朝食をパケットで用意してもらうよう頼みましたが、カウンターに従業員はおらず、チェックアウトすらできない状態でした。もちろん朝食はなし。

へんぴな場所にあるためそこのレストランで食事しましたが、料理がでで来るのがとても遅かったです。確か30分は待ちました。

泊まる分には十分良い部屋ですが、WiFiも弱く、従業員に＋アルファのサービスを求めてはいけません。

Nous avons apprécié de finir l'après midi au bord de la piscine qui est très agréable.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner est bien.
La chambre est très spacieuse et bien conçue.
Bémol: on n'a pas pu se connecter au wifi et on a demandé un changement de literie qui a été opéré dans la journée.

Viel een beetje tegen: veel vliegen, pover ontbijt, niet echt proper in het restaurant. Men belooft een poolbar, maar die is men nog aan het bouwen!!! Als je aan het zwembad ligt en naar het wc wil gaan, moet je een heel eind door het hotel lopen, niet handig voor kinderen die net uit het zwembad komen (water op die mooie vloer). Maar wel heel vriendelijke bediening, een heel propere kamer, goede ac.
