Nice room and beautiful beach area. Great staff with delicious food at both the evening and morning buffet! Unfortunately due to the time of our visit (4days before closing for the season) a lot of the bar/dining options were closed and the outdoor pool/hot tub was cold/out of service.

Elevator did not work.
A lot of steep stares to navigate , specially for my 72 year old mother.Lay out of resort is very confusing, a lot of dead ends , amenities are not easy accessible.Restaurant open for breakfast and diner only and closes early , 9pm.

Very nice hotel. Great rooms. Only disappointment was the pool. No pool staff so all other guests left towels at the pool beds at 8 in the morning and did not use the bed before in the afternoon. This was against hotel rules but no staff did anything. Because of that we could not get any pool beds - one day there were only 3 people at the pool and no space for us…

An Average Place

We had booked an ocean view family suite and while yes, it is a view of the ocean, you look out over a cluttered view of their restaurant roof-top. A family suite is essentially 2 separate hotel rooms with two doors and locks but with a single door beyond those two. A buffet breakfast is included in the stay but when we went down for breakfast, almost all tables in the restaurant were reserved for people on bus tours. Even though those tables were empty, we had to wait a long time for one of the few tables that wasn't reserved to free up. The beach is rocky so take beach shoes if you go. There is a walkway to other beaches that aren't so rocky so that is an option. The outdoor pool area is nice. For the indoor pool, you must make a reservation in advance in order to use it. Overall, the resort is average. There is nothing particularly outstanding, nor awful. It's just an okay place to stay.

Top resort in Malinska

We had a great experience in Blue waves resort. Its not a huge and crowded one, but just right to relax either by the pool or on the beach. Everyone is really friendly, rooms are clean and spacious, food is great. First couple of days the lunch food selection was a bit limited, but after we pointed it out, there was a brand new menu printed already the next day. Great work. We really loved it and we will be back. I can recomend it to everyone.

The staff was very friendly and helpful through out our stay. The hotel room was large and clean, however, i do not recommend staying in the bottom floor. On the last night, it stormed heavily and our room flooded while we were out. Fortunately, majority of our stuff was situated on the tables or chairs. When we approached the front desk, they quickly switched our rooms.

Overall, it was a nice hotel and we would stay there if we go back to Croatia(as long as they put us in a higher room!)

Go to this place to relax

An upmarket resort offering all you would expect. The hotel provides a relaxing atmosphere and the location right next to the beach is wonderful. The room was clean and a great size although I think we were upgraded for being on honeymoon.

Great views and great snorkeling in the sea. Food fine for mass catering.

Great Resort Even On a Budget

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Waves Resort on Krk Island for our honeymoon. The resort is great. The rooms are very clean, the beach is clean and not overcrowded, and the catering is very good. We had massages that were average but were ok. Breakfast was always very good and the service was spectacular. The only thing that's not true is that the resort's beach isn't private and you have to pay for beach chairs. The cocktails are also a bit overpriced in comparison to the surrounding resorts. Other than that everything was good.

Blue Waves - disappointing !

The hotel was disappointing.

The hotel was built on a slope so it was not ideal for the elderly or for anyone with disabilities.

The dining room was very small and when it rained and guests could not sit at the tables outside everyone had to squeeze into the dining room.

The reception and common parts were also small and although very modern and stylish, not very comfortable and welcoming.

The beach was not sandy but stony, as are all beaches in Croatia, so not too pretty but perfectly ok

We wouldn't return.

Preis-Leistung Verhältnis für dieses Hotel stimmte leider nicht! Im Zimmer richte es unangenehm, die Tepiche sollten mal gewaschen werden.
Beim Essen leider zu wenig Auswahl und auch teuer.

Utroligt dejligt sted med pool og 2 minutter til stranden. Stranden var stenet så badesko anbefales. Vandet var klart og rent, men blev hurtig dybt.
Flink og rart personale. Morgenmaden var lækker. Rengøringen i top.
4 airconditionanlæg på et værelse og med 37 grader udenfor var det supert.

Sehr schöne und saubere Anlage, das Appartement war sehr geräumig, gepflegt und stets sauber. Das Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am Buffet zum Frühstück und Abendessen bekommt man fast alles was das Herz begehrt und die Speisen sind frisch und sehr lecker zubereitet. Alles in einem, ein sehr gelungener Urlaub an den wir gerne zurück denken werden.

Virkelig dejligt hotel lige ned til havet :-)

Dejlig med liggestole, solparasoller og poolhåndklæder.

Lækker morgenmad.

Ungerne elskede ‘Kids Club’ hvor Mia og Anna dansede med børnene til minidisco og lavede krea med ungerne - og spillede Uno til den store guldmedalje - virkelig søde og pædagogiske medarbejdere Mie og Anna :-)

Stort dejlig værelse med havudsigt og pooludsigt!

Tutto molto bene

Esperienza positiva. Stanza Ampia, fresca. Attenzione quando prenotate, le stanze senza balcone possono dare sul muro, ma poco importa, si sta poco in camera. Colazione ok, piscine molto belle, spiaggia ottima. Da migliorare magari il servizio spiaggia. Se arrivi tardi non hanno abbastanza ombrelloni.

Sehr sehr schöne Anlage, allerbestens gepflegt und absolut sauber, unheimlich freundliches, herausragend zuvorkommendes und sehr sehr hilfsbereites Personal, tolles Buffet, jeden Abend andere Gerichte zur Auswahl, alle in bester und hochwertiger Qualität, zwei Pools bestens gewartet und gereinigt, Strand zwar Kies, aber gut mit Badeschuhen ins Meer zu gehen, kristallklares Wasser, sensationell, selbst für Kroatien hervorstechend, wir werden jedenfalls wiederkommen, einfach erholsam !
Ankunft ebenfalls sehr herzlich, kaltes Getränk zur Begrüßung, dann eine Führung durch die Hotelanlage, echt klasse, man fühlt sich sofort wohl und herzlich willkommen, richtig toll geführtes Hotel ! Tiefgaragenstellplatz vorhanden, Anlage sehr ruhig, einfach komplett nur zu empfehlen !

Sehr nettes Personal, einziges Manko die Rezeption war an einem Abend als wir Fragen gehabt hätten einfach nicht besetzt (kein Schild oder Sonstiges). Nach 20-minütiger Wartezeit haben wir entnervt aufgegeben.
Das Spa können wir nicht beurteilen.
Die Lage am Meer ist sehr schön, sehr ruhige Gegend. Die Anlage selbst ist in einem guten Zustand.
Das Essen war geschmacklich ok. Die Auswahl war etwas gering.

Die Insel Krk ist sehr schön im Vergleich zum Hotel, ich habe nunmal schön bessere 3sterne Hotels gehabt. Vorerst die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. In der ersten Nacht viel von der Eingangstüre, die Türschnalle mehrmals zu Boden die mit einer Holz Schraube repariert wurde. 6 mal aufgewacht deswegen. Im Nebenzimmer ließen die deutsche Eltern ihre Kinder allein im Zimmer die natürlich machten was sie wollten, es schien so als würden sie neben uns das Zimmer zerlegen. Türen zuknallen, schreien, an die Wand hämmern usw bis 1:00 nachts ging das so. Kasten Türe aufgemacht die einem dann entgegen fiel. Die Silikonfugen im Bad wurden einfach über den Schimmel schlampig mit neuem Silikon darüber gekleistert. Fließen kaputt, von 5 Lampen im Zimmer funktionierten nur 3. Das Zimmer würde mit Meerseite beschrieben. Wir hatten lediglich Blick auf den Pool im Innenhof. Dies würde auch bei der Rezeption bemängelt, haben aber schlussendlich kein anderes Zimmer bekommen. Man hat uns mit 2 Massagen zu je 25min vertröstet. Hier ein Lob an die Masseure die ihren Job richtig gut gemacht haben. Das Frühstück war ok, viel Auswahl. An der Kaffee Theke gab es allerdings ein Ameisen problem. Abendessen war nicht nach meinem Geschmack. Und wenn man sich gesamt ein wenig umsah erkannte man das der Haustechniker mit sämtlichen Reparaturen überfordert war. Es sah nicht professionell aus sondern eher gepfuscht und wie eine Notlösung. Für mich keine 4 Sterne wert. Ich würde das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen.

El personal de recepcion es lamentable. Medin, hace que tu primera impresion del Hotel sea mala.... por suerte compensa el resto del personal que resulta bastante atento.
El hotel está bien para pasar unos dias en familia. La playa es lo mas destacable .!

Good beach hotel

Good hotel on the beach. The pools are nice, the beach is too, a little crowded in July but we always found a spot. The massages are great (not free) we highly recommend them. The spa with the sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool are very good and free. The food at the breakfast buffet is very acceptable; there are lots of eggs, pancake, waffles, bread, cheese, fruits... The buffet at night though was quite disappointing, we preferred going out to malinska or krk town to eat. The room was ok, the hot water was not working great in my room but it was fine. We asked for 2 rooms close to each other and they put us in two different part of the hotel, that was not cool but it's a detail. All in all it was a nice beach hotel. Though I don't think it was worth the 200euros a night that we paid, but we booked the hotel last minute and in high season so.. Not many options left. I guess for a more reasonable price it's a great option in Malinska.

Leider zur Zeit Baustellenlärm vom Nachbargrundstück. Ansonsten gibt es nichts negatives zu berichten. Sehr schöne Anlage, nette Bedienstete, Essen vielfältig und sehr lecker, saubere und schöne Zimmer. Ich würde wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Essen könnte besser sein, keine große Abwechslung,
Art Kantinenessen, Nachspeisen fast jeden Tag das Gleiche.
Ab 22 Uhr alle hoteleigenen Bars (2 Stück) geschlossen.
Personal ist freundlich.
In der Umgebung wenig los.

L albergo è una bella struttura direttamente sul mare. La camera familiare ha dimensioni molto soddisfacenti ed è confortevole. Colazione Ok. Tutto il personale è molto gentile. La pulizia della camera, delle parti comuni e della spiaggia antistante l albergo non è adeguata ad un 4 stelle, per noi è sicuramente da migliorare.

Decent pool and view but otherwise not good at all

The hotel is equivalent to a three star hotel. The best feature is the outdoor swimming pool which fits 10 to 12 people at once and the view from some of the rooms. The beach is not swimmable for children under the age of 12 because of the steep sea surface terrain, rocks and sharp edges. The main center of Malinska is 2,3 kilometres hike away. The hotel restaurant offers breakfast and dinner buffets that are decent but repetitous. Half of the staff were helpful. The other half gaves us misinformation about dining possibilities or did not react at first asking to our requests of getting a waterheater or having the cars blocking the driveway removed. We stayed here for two nights and I think that was well enough.

Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Hotel und die Anlage könnten gepflegter sein. Der Strand ist super, allerdings sind die wenigen vorhandenen Sonnenliegen schon sehr früh belegt (auch von Gästen, die nicht vom Hotel sind) und man hat, wenn man nicht um 8.00 Uhr am Strand ist keine Chance auf eine Liege. Viele Gäste reservieren die Liegen schon vor dem Frühstück und kommen dann erst gegen Mittag zum Strand. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, es gibt eine große Auswahl und das Abendessen ist auch in Ordnung, es ist jetzt keine gehobene Sterneküche, aber gerade für Familien mit Kindern muss es das auch nicht sein. Schade ist nur, dass es beim Buffet am Abend selten kroatische Gerichte gibt, denn diese schmecken wirklich lecker. Wenn man sein Auto im Urlaub nicht benutzen will, muss man fleißig gehen, denn der Hafen mit einigen Geschäften ist 30 Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Im Großen und Ganzen ist das Hotel für Familien mit kleineren Kindern zu empfehlen, für anspruchsvolle Gäste, die gerne Action im Urlaub haben, eher nicht. Wir fahren nicht mehr in das Blue Waves Resort, uns war der Strand zu überfüllt und das Drumherum einfach zu langweilig.

Super!

Super hotel met alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijn verblijf. Ze hebben een geweldige spa, die wij goed hebben gebruikt met slecht weer. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. We hebben geen kinderen, maar het hotel zag er zeer geschikt uit voor kids.

Gutes Strandhotel

Wir hatten Superior-Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht,waren im Erdgeschoß untergebracht. Da hohe Sträucher vor der Terasse, war das Meer nur für große Leute im Stehen sichtbar. Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig (Fußabdrücke auf dem Tisch). Duschkopf verkalkt, nur ein harter Strahl, setzte das Badezimmer unter Wasser. Batterien der Klimaanlage leer, dadurch funktionierte sie nicht, nach Reklamation sofortige Behebung. Sehr gutes Frühstück- und Abendbufett, sehr nette Mitarbeiter.

Resort je idealno mjesto za odmor sa djecom. Bilo nam je jako lijepo, osoblje je izuzetno usluzno i profesionalno Djeci se najvise svidjela animatorica na djecjem bazenu te igraonica. More je cisto a plaza uredna. Svakako cemo doci opet.

Sehr schönes, sauberes Hotel etwas außerhalb von Malinska. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal auch noch am Ende Saison. Faire Preise auch im Hotel. Wir (Paar mit 2 Kinder) haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.
