Good stay

Breakfast was more to local taste and kind of same everyday until i requested reception to change something on last day. All in all place is ok and quite. The weather was pleasant too.

I like the location, walking distance to the town centre. Bed was firm and towels are clean. Food at restaurant is good, thanks to the Chinese chef. But the room needs a major renovation. Inadequate lighting, dusty windows, floor and balcony. No chair in my room. Table falling apart, toilet bathroom needs repair. No Wifi in room. It should be 2.5 stars not 3 stars.

I have seen the condition deteriorating over the years. Understandably, the facilities are visibly affected due to the macro-economic conditions of the pandemic, especially Room Number 314.
They seem to be trying hard to keep the lights on. Best wishes to them.

Old hotel with seasoned facilities

The pillow and towel are a little bit smelly. A few things leftovers from previous customers were still in the drawers on both rooms that I rented! The carpet feel sticky. However the breakfast is good and the hotel situated at prime location.

A very old and not well maintain hotel! Room with stale smell: from carpet, bed sheet and bed cushion! The room was not clean thoroughly, as dirt and stain can be easily found on floor, bed sheet, mosquito net...! There is a used towel hung behind the toilet's door and no toilet paper provided! Totally disappointed with this kind of hotel management!

The room that we stayed was very poorly cleaned. It’s very dusty and I actually think it has not been cleaned in a long time. The toilet is horrible. It has dead moths and lizard droppings all over the floor. The shower was filthy. The room was not worth the price we paid.

On the other hand, the breakfast spread was okay considering. They had a variety of food including cereals, nasi lemak, fried koey teow, bread butter pudding and salad.

Please improve on the cleanliness of your room!

Bad experience in Fraser Hills

1. Telephone system doesn't work
2. There is no air-condidtion inside the room but the electronic fan can be provided upon request, however, we don't know until we get this information from the tour guide
3. The power supply shutdown for half an hour in night time, and service center doesn't update us the status when the electricity can be resumed.
4. The electronic key system doesn't work, we ask for the replacement of the key, and reception keep saying that the key is valid.
5. We used their laundry service, but we have to get back the clothes by ourselves without delivering to the room.
6. We booked the room through hotels.com, but they cannot find the booking record when we checkin in the counter.

Although lobby area and dining area looks okay..but the hotel room is so bad!No maintenance at all,yellow stains on the wall,broken dressing table lamp,electric broke down while using certain switch,mattress full with stains,broken mosquito net with huge mosquitoes disturbing our sleep.,no fan and the room is so stuffy.,balcony is so dirty!wardrobe broken,dressing table broken.Last but not least,scary sound heard while we were sleeping..Please,fraser hill is such a lovely tourist place but if you cant keep good maintenance for your hotel,no tourist will ever stay there.Kindly improve and make renovation and maintain good quality stay for your customer.By far one of the worst experience among hotel stays.

Seems a nice hotel as you arrive, lobby and dining / breakfast area very pleasant, just don’t take a bedroom. The rooms are terrible, dusty, dark, smell, the bathroom looked dirty, because of the old and broken tiles. I didn’t dare to take a shower, wash on sink! Sat in lobby for the evening, too depressing in room. Apart from that great location for bird watching. You have to be committed!

The rooms and corridor are all carpeted and very dirty. The sink in my room was blocked and could not be fixed. My room carpet was dusty and littered.

There were good and bad points about the hotel. The downstairs reception and lobby area was very nice and the dining room and breakfast extremely pleasant and clean. However in complete contrast to this was our bedroom. It was extremely grubby and in serious need of decoration. There were wires exposed at the bedside and there was a damp smell in the room, Also no-one serviced the room for whole 3 days we stayed to replenish tea or coffee or toilet roll supplies.

Great location and friendly staff

People in the hotel, including the staff at the kitchen, are very friendly. Location is great, and there is even a Maybank branch at the hotel's row of shops outside. Perhaps the wifi could be extended to the rooms as well, presently can only use at the lobby area. Every night there were blackouts due to the rainy weather, so this could be looked into too.

Awesome Authentic Malay dish

Here, not like any other hotel, once can experience the authentic taste of Malaysian cuisine! I ate both lunch and dinner here because there is no any other better place to enjoy delicious Malay cuisine in Fraser Hill. The breakfast which come with the room is great too. I return back to this hotel just due to their delicious food and awesome chef.

Cool escape

If you want peace and quiet and cool air, Fraser's Hill is it. The village doesn't even have a minimart to speak of, let alone a supermarket. It's a pity all the trails were closed due to rainy weather. They are closed Nov-Feb!
Shahzan Inn is the only lodging with an elevator for those with mobility challenges. Apart from private rental apts. Its rooms are basic. But the tariff compensates. The restaurant cooks up a decent steamboat. Wifi in lobby and restaurant only.

Bed sheets cover, pillow cover all never change,just tidy then give the next guest to continue sleep. No hanger, no hair dryer in the room. Window full of dust, Bed sheets also full of dust mist, whole night my nose sensitive,can't sleep well. For bathing the Heater no hot water supply when bath until half, and the water are very small .
Not enough parking for guest. Once going out come back to the hotel no more parking, gate to park the car outside the hotel, beside the road. For my family although Shazan inn is good location,breakfast so so, ok. But the room are very dirty, especially the Bed.

view is awesome with strategic location. the restaurant/food stall in walking distance.
but really disappointed with the room facilities. plug/suis in room only 1 was functioning.
furniture & bed were old/outdated.no aircond/ceiling fan.
i think with the current malaysia's weather it would be better if hotel furnish every room with the ceiling fan because
it's still hot inside the room compared to outside.
the breakfast just ok,simple.
