Location is fantastic, hotel is safe and clean. Staff was friendly but unprofessional and there were a number of “oh by the way” events that were disappointing. Breakfast was small but satisfactory with a great attendant. Elevator was nearly worthless for more than a few people at a time. All of this said, the low rating is entirely due to value and surprise fees and taxes. The cost for the accommodation was not in line. Some friends stayed very close by in a nicer hotel for less money and we were in the luxury family suite. For a third of the money, I probably would have gone 4-5 stars.

Great place to stay for my family of four! Our room was on the top floor - double bed and two single beds - and everything met our expectations - clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was very helpful in suggesting places to explore in the city and even bringing our luggage to our room. Breakfast options were plentiful and tasty. Location is excellent. Would stay here again!

Great location, decent sized rooms, and even better service! The location is perfect. You get to see the glorious Pantheon when you start and end the day. And the piazza is a great way to end the day. But what sets this hotel apart is the amazing service. We were taking the train to Naples, and Hotel Pantheon arranged for a taxi to Roma Termini. Unfortunately, we left a phone in the taxi. We contacted the hotel, and they immediately got in touch with the taxi company and driver and retrieved and held the phone for us. Amazing service and super helpful.

This could be one of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed. The hotel itself is gorgeous and really makes you feel like you’re in Rome. The staff were amazing and super helpful. The best part though is the location. It was perfectly located by the Pantheon, amazing food and shopping in awesome alleyways and it seemed that nothing was more than a 15-20 min walk that we wanted to see. Highly recommend the Hotel Pantheon.

Wonderful special place to stay

Had a wonderful stay in mid November. Traveling solo and I appreciated the location—truly in the middle of everything!—and the friendly 24 hr desk attendant. The property itself was intriguing and beautiful. It’s an old converted palazzo so the hallways and room numbers are all unique and not intuitive. It feels old and interesting, like everything has a story. Do not book this hotel and expect it to feel like a Holiday Inn or something. It’s old but clean and well kept up. They let me check in early and were warm and helpful. The breakfast is heartier than I expected, and there is an arena who will make a great coffee for you. My room had a heated towel rack and a little fridge and a stately wardrobe. I’ll definitely be back to Hotel Pantheon.

Nice location, geographically located in the middle of all famous seeing sites, walking distance to all. But the room quality is below Motel 6. Our room says located on fifth floor, the elevator goes only to 3rd floor. We have to walk up to 4th floor and again walk down one floor below on another stairs. The room is only one half of an original layout, leaving a few centimeters between the bed end and the wall. One has to climb over another to get to his/her sleeping position inside the bed. Believe it or not, there is not even any room for suitcases if you have more than one. Furniture is century old, dusty and smelly, the floor is disgusting. If there was a fire, occupants would go with the fire. The cost per night is much more than Ritz Carlton in the states. This place reflects very negatively the image of Rome.

This place was fabulous! The parking was the only issue as there is not direct parking on site and was a little difficult for us to find the entrance but the owner personally met us and drove our car to the parking area! He offered us a trolly to bring our luggage’s and was genuinely the nicest! The room was beautiful, clean, we had the suite which fit 6 of our family. Breakfast was great! And a 2 minute walk to the Pantheon! Made our trip wonderful .

Good location. Staff were polite and helpful. The rooms for three people were much smaller than illustrated. No room for 3 suitcases. Only one suitcase shelf/rack available in room. Another suitcase had to be placed on the desk, and the third had to be kept closed and stored under the desk. Crowded for three and disappointing. They do provide luggage storage on the last day after check out. Excellent location. Perfect room for 2 (or ok for three without much luggage). Excellent location. Lots of restaurants and tourist sites nearby. Good helpful staff.

The hotel stay was great, the rooms were clean and the staff was great. It was perfectly located in the center of everything. The only negative was the taxi cab that was arranged for me the day I wa headed to the airport. The hotel assured me it was going to be $50 Euros and that we could pay with a card. Once we got to the airport the cab they arranged tried charging me $70 Euros and would oy accept cash. When I told the driver I would complain to the hotel he said he would accept the $50. I was pretty much held captive at the airport until I paid. The driver made my mom stay with him while I ran inside to look for an ATM. Beware of the cab drivers the arrange. Check the price with them before getting into the car.

We booked a quadruple room for our family of four. The night we arrived, we were put in a tiny double room that they jammed two twin pull out chairs in. It was so small there was barely room to walk to the beds. Four beds abutted next to each other. No space in between. Literally none. My son hit his head on the TV stand that protrudes from the wall over his bed several times. They booked us for a quadruple room for three nights even though they had only two nights available and took it upon themselves to shove us in what was essentially a closet with three beds for the third night, but still charged us full price for a quadruple for three nights. For this inconvenience, they comped us the world’s most pathetic continental breakfast for free. We ate it once and did not return. The food selection and quality was laughably bad.

The mattresses are hard and terribly uncomfortable. The “twin beds” are cheap pull out chair beds. The common areas are dated and dirty feeling. While the location is convenient, with that comes loud noise heard through the windows at all hours of the night. The staff was completely disinterested in offering us any sympathy or discount for their booking mistake - or perhaps worse, their intentional theft of our money by overbooking us.

I would absolutely never stay here again. Nor should anyone considering this facility. Lots of options. Choose somewhere else.

I chose this hotel because of the location and the elevator. It does have an elevator but that only reaches the 3rd floor. After that I had to go up a flight of stairs then down a curved flight to reach my room.
The area is quiet, but the hallway conversations sound like you are separated by a paper towel, not a wall. I finally started answering the other patron’s questions out loud to let them know I could hear every word and was disturbed.
I also figured out that the key card had to be inserted a certain way or the lights and outlets would switch off - then on- randomly every few minutes- playing havoc with my cpap machine.

The location was good. Close to everything. The biggest problem we had was that the website said parking “on-site” and we got down there which was no easy feat and there was No Parking and we had to find a parking garage about 20 min away. Not cool. All was said was “oops.. we should change that”. Room was big to have 4 people but not easy to get to. Had to take elevator to 3rd floor then walk up with luggage up narrow stairs. Would not book again.

First time in Rome

Cannot beat the location of the hotel! Walking distance to most of the tourist sites and there is a nearby taxi stand. Staff were very helpful. Our room was a good size. The convertible arm chair beds were not comfortable and the two of them would have been better replaced with another double bed. There is no where to to hang anything in the bathroom and you have to be careful when showering that water does not go on the floor. We left some clothes on the back of the desk chair and after the room was cleaned, they were found in the garbage. The garbage was not removed daily and one of the cups was still dirty from the previous occupant. Would still recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rome. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

The location is could not have been better. Just steps from the Pantheon. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help. The room was very small (but we knew it would be). It was typical for a smaller European hotel. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t bad at all. The room was very clean and the shower was amazing. We would stay there again.

Outstanding location, right in the middle of the Pantheon area. Even with the crowds in the square, we could not hear the street noise from our rooms. The location can't be beat and the hotel was clean and the room was surprisingly large, easily accommodating our group of three. We only stayed for one night but it was so lovely! We had two rooms and the private suite with the queen bed was gorgeous! It was literally five steps away from the pantheon so it was nice to avoid the crowds, the customer service was wonderful, and the people at the front desk encouraged me to use the little Italian I knew! The breakfast was a separate charge but delicious! My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the street, it was littered with trash after a rambling night. Overall a wonderful stay, right in the middle of Roma!

The location was great but the hotel sadly was not, listed as a 4 star but in reality a 3 at best, our room was small, very narrow and lacked any comforts, the fridge nearly kept water cool.. the guests in adjacent /above rooms were almost guests in our room as you could hear them coughing, talking and worst of all taking a pee and shower which in honesty sounded as if we were in a water park!! The walls are so thin, and as such the room was generally very noisy the shower was good but there were no decent toiletries so you will need to bring/ buy those, The hotel is tired and needs a complete refurbishment, breakfast was good though and plenty of choice, but again not 4 star standards and very small so booking a table is advised by the hotel..

The staff were great the issue is the HOTELS.com room discretion was totally wrong, the staff did there best to help out with the miss information from Hotel .com website
Move rooms but to accommodate the error. food was great hotel is in great location and staff willing to help with possible food place, drink places ,and what you should see and how to get there and back..

The rooms are not as advertised on Hotels.com. We eventually were given 3 single beds on the second day of our stay and the room itself was tiny compared to what was advertised. LED colour change lightning is not what I expected from a 4*hotel!
The noise outside is unbearable, day and night, coupled with a pneumatic drill from 7.30am each day of our stay. The staff were not welcoming and were not approachable.
The only saving grace was the location. However this is definitely not a 4* hotel and is definitely not worth the prices they charge. Definitely not recommended.

I was put in a really crappy room. I had to go up to floor 3 on the elevator, then walk up a staircase to floor 4, and then down a hallway and walk down a different staircase to what they were calling \"floor 5\". It was strange. Then the room was tiny and had a very odd layout, which made everything difficult. Also, the air conditioner was far insufficient and the room as at least 80 degrees F. When I complained, they told me it was working fine and there was nothing they could do. So I said I understand if you won't refund tonight, but I asked to just refund the following 3 nights of my reservation so I could just go to a different hotel. They refused and they were absolutely unhelpful. So I was trapped paying way too much money for a horrible room that was 80 degrees. This place is awful. Do not go here.

Location of the hotel is excellent. Every POI in Rome is within a walking distance. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated and in very good shape. Our room was a little on the small size and had little daylight as it faced a typical European urban backyard, but you get what you pay for. Probably the biggest annoyance was that electricity in the receptacles was cut off when the room key was removed from the switch, which meant that a) you could not charge any devices while you were away, and b) the fridge warmed up during the day and was pretty much useless when it was needed the most, when returning to the hotel after a long, hot day of sightseeing. Still, I do not hesitate to recommend the hotel if you can secure a good price.

We had a triple room on the third floor, the AirCon was very noisy, but was essential at night , so i had to wear earplugs. Its difficult to review the breakfast because the Virus for some reason meant that there was no hot food, but the SErvice from Letitia was excellent.

This location is perfect especially if you have limited time in Rome. The Pantheon in steps away and you can get to the Trevi fountain within 5 minutes, walking. The room and bathroom are large compared to many you will find in Rome. The price we paid was very reasonable for location and size. The air conditioner was mediocre.

This is a very lovely hotel located about 100 meters from the front entrance to the Pantheon and therefore very central to many of the notable sights in Rome. There is also a taxi rank nearby to help getting to places a little further afield. Our room was clean and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast varied and tasty. Despite being so close to a very busy attraction we found our room to be very quiet

I called this hotel twice before paying for the reservation to ensure I could get a room with two single beds. Each time I called I was told that there was s 100% certainty the room would have two single beds. Upon arriving, I was told the only room available was a room with one small bed. After travelling all day, my travel companion and I had a TERRIBLE night sleep in a very small bed. The hotel staff acted like we were lucky they were giving us a room at all. These reservations were made months in advance. If this hotel could not accommodate the room request, they should have said so and we could have found s room anywhere else in Rome. It seems like the lied just to get our money and did not care at all about our comfort and needs.

I will never recommend this hotel to anyone- ever

The hotel is steps away from the Pantheon. Very good location in Rome. Roberto at the front desk was extremely helpful with any question we had and gave us a few great recommendations as to restaurants in the area.

The hotel is centrally located near many restaurants, shops, monuments, and main roads (Via Del Corso). The hotel staff are wonderful, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic and highly recommended especially if you are up early. They begin serving at 7am. Only downsides are that it can be a bit noisy later into the night as it is a popular hangout area close to Piazza Navonna, and that the mattresses are harder and thinner than I would like for comfort over our 7 night stay. Everything else was great!

Wonderful location steps from the Pantheon right on a major pedestrian path. We were 3 people so the room was tight but the high ceilings and spacious bathroom made it feel bigger. We were 20 minutes from everything. We woke up, had a delicious breakfast (terrific assortment of food) at the hotel then went off to enjoy our adventure. We were head on the pillow around 9pm absolutely exhausted. We were on the 1st floor right in the front and the noise was a slight hum of the vibrant street ending its night. I highly recommend this hotel. We would return there next time we get to Rome.

We arrived at the hotel and we were greeted by a very nice lady she was friendly and accommodating. After that it was all down hill we got in out room it was very hot. We inquired about the a/c not working well and were told that it will not work like it does in America. What is European air conditioning different? S we suffered through the night the room was about 80 degrees. We asked again they said we will look at it. We came back and were told the came story that this is not America air is not as good here. Than we return and all the air is off in the whole building. So i asked since it is 85 to 90 degrees in the room and we no way could sleep what will they do and the answer was nothing. asked the owner to call no call no response except please pay your city tax. NOT A RECOMMENDATION AS A MATTER OF FACT I WILL DISPUTE THE CHARGES. So is summery a shoulder shrug and ignoring the issue I feel is not the answer. Hey I have an idea how about at least a courtesy call.

Location was fabulous being just a few metres from the Pantheon. A fair bit of noise filtered up from the street in the evening. Room was a little small but fairly typical for a Rome.

Rather than stay at corporate hotel I chose somewhere in interesting area. Perfect as I got to hotel at 9.30pm after long day and it meant I could have a lovely stroll and an ice cream in a beautiful area. Hotel charming and slightly odd in equal measure. I had a slightly OTT bed with paintings, drapes, all a bit strange. But I would definitely stay again. I love the Pantheon and I loved being somewhere so central albeit for very brief time.

Location was wonderful. The rooms are petite but that’s expected in a boutique hotel especially with the location. Which I have to say again was exceptional. Centrally located and walking distance to absolutely everything. You are yards away from the Pantheon. Will definitely stay here again.
