This property was pretty cool. Nothing like a pool, that has access to a beach and view of the waters. I must mention though, I had to call maintenance 3 times to fix my water in shower until they actually fixed it. There was no iron to use, not even at front desk. The waitresses were very immature and ruined some of the peace. They did not attend to the guest properly, to even ask if anyone needs anything, like water maybe in the hot sun lol. I did catch one of the waitresses kicking a bottle cap around for fun right behind me, like a child who does not understand we paid for quiet and class. Most importantly, make sure your room is not next to the kitchen, as I had to endure sounds of crashing silverware all day and evening. Very annoying. They should learn how to control that. No reason to toss silverware around, and yes ive been a waiter before so I am one to speak. Train them better. Its called class.

Room was nice and clean but the shower had black mold. Cleaning staff were wonderful and helpful! Restaurant staff were slow and not helpful.
One gentleman spoke English one second then when I was over charged he suddenly couldn’t understand anything I was saying. Went back next day with my translator app and still they were not going to reimburse me on the over charge.
Over priced and poor service. Resort on the beach that looked like a dumping ground. If you advertise your beach then maybe they should actually try and keep it neat and tidy.

I didn't have luck for choosing this hotel. Unfortunately was a really sad experience for me and my family. I have 03 points to talk about:
- The rooms have a lack of maintenance and the furniture is old and damaged.
- The restaurant staff had errors with us due to fly in our soup and never offered \"I am sorry\"
- The restaurant forgot my order and I was waiting for more than 40 mins, I called to waiter for cancelling my order and it arrived in less than 5 minutes, I didn't receive a \"Sorry\" from the staff.
- I received at night a call in my room, telling me that I didn't pay the bill, I had paid, they told me to show the receipt at restaurant, so I had to leave my room at night, go to the restaurant and show the receipt and card transaction, but was not my fault, the real reason is that they had forgotten include some item in the bill and they wanted I pay for it (is ok I am not refusing to pay, but is an error by their side) I had all this embarrassment and one more time, I never received a \"Sorry\".
Definitely, the next time I travel to Pukhet I will not choose AoChalong.

I hope they have success and treat better the tourists.

Our first solo trip was in Phuket and staying at Aochalong villa was amazing. They had exceptional service and hospitality and the location is perfect for those looking to vacation away from super busy cities like Patong. I decided to upgrade rooms for a great price and it was totally worth it if you're looking for a comfier stay. They offer taxi services and multiple excursion brochures upfront so you don't have to go out of your way looking for reliable ones. I will be back next time

The staff here are very kind and helpful. The pool by the restaurant was clean and had a beautiful view of the sea. However, the room did not look like the pictures, as well as other parts of the property not matching the photos online. The place was clean and quiet, but definitely can use some updates. When we arrived and got to the villa it was hotter than it was outside. It took hours to cool down. They only give you one room key so if you aren't in the room the ac will not run. Overall the place was average and did not look like the pictures online. The name villa resort and spa also gives the impression it is something that it is not.

The staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. That’s about the only positive thing I can say. We checked in and immediately went out to explore the town, so we didn’t notice how terrible the rooms were until we returned around 10pm. We booked two rooms, one villa and one standard room.
- The villa was ant and roach infested. It also smelled of chemicals. The hair dryer did not work.
- The standard room’s bathroom smelled awful. It reeked of a strong urine smell and we had to keep the door closed at all times.

When we called to the front desk, they basically said it was after hours and there was nothing they could do until the next day. They offered to pesticide spray the villa unit in the morning. That is probably the chemical smell we were smelling and it probably isn’t safe to inhale.

Around 12am, the units adjacent to the standard room decided they were going to hang out outside on the patio all night. They were loud, yelling and making noise, and we couldn’t get any sleep as they were right outside our door. They didn’t stop until about 5am. In the villa, my family also couldn’t sleep as the ants would bite and it hurt!

We booked and prepaid for 3 nights but only stayed one.

Not for me, beware!

Well..I couldnt stay past the 1st night checked out the next morning without sleep. There were ants and cockroaches so we had to keep one eye open so they didnt craw where they werent supposed to at night as the bed did not sit on platforms. The shower windows were see through from the outside so free for all show when your in the shower. The hair dryer broke and they advised me nothing they can do. Imagine super long wet hair in hot humid weather. The ocean view is not what is displayed. To conclude if your the rough it out doors type you should have no issues. Oh and they accused me of taking their used and abused hand towel, wanted me to open and check my luggage after I had not slept the whole night at 5 am in the morning only to find out that they didnt see it in the room. I would love to elaborate more throughly on the experience but Im limited to characters.

It was a pretty nice place, the brick sidewalk needed some repair, and the automatic electric turn off in the rooms are a real burden because the room heats up a lot when your not there and it takes a very long time to cool down the room again! They probably think there saving energy, but it’s actually worse and uses more energy to cool down the rooms again then it is to keep it cool!!

Very beautiful little place covered in trees and flowers
Like a little tropical garden.
Swimming pool was nice and one was over looking the sea the beach wasn't good especially when the tide goes out

Staff was super helpful

But perfect and clean and the bed was super comfy

Its a good 7 minute walk to the main road
And probably 20 minutes to chalong main restrant part where the pire is

We enjoyed our three-night stay here. The resort was a terrific value. We wanted to be close to the Chalong Pier for scuba diving. This resort had both a seaside pool and a second pool further from the beach. It was quiet, quaint, kind of charming. The restaurant had very good food and excellent drinks. The included breakfast was great. The staff was welcoming and very nice. This was an out-of-the-way gem.

The Good and the Bad

The Good:
The property was very well cared for. There is a lot of vegetation around so if you like greenery this is the place for you. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff was also very nice, polite and helpful when you needed help with something.
Rooms were very clean and well cared for. Overall maintenance was good.
Breakfast selection was quite good. All the food tasted fresh and was delicious.

The Bad.
* Our room was composted of two rooms, a bedroom and what seemed to be a living room. The bedroom did not have any TV which sucked. The living room had a tv, but no practical way to sit and watch. I had to watch tv using a chair. It would have been better if the TV were mounted in the bedroom.
* Bathroom was terrible. You can see in the picture attached. No isolation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom except for the toilet via a shower curtain. When you take a shower, the entire bathroom floor is wet and good luck walking in without getting your feet wet. It was so impractical and one of the dumbest setups I've ever come across. In addition, the soap, body wash and shampoo bottoms were in such tiny bottles, it was a joke. We didn't ask to get our room cleaned each day so we had to request for toilet paper and refills which was annoying.
* AC repair men showed up 2ft from our bedroom window inspecting the AC without letting us know. If anyone were not fully dressed, we would have given them a show. Not professional.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. Our villa by the large pool was spacious and comfortable. Good TV choices for English speakers. The whole complex is quiet and really beautifully landscaped. Both pools were very nice and very well maintained. Breakfast was for the most part pretty good with great fresh fruit and some good choices. We enjoyed the cappuccinos and lattes and a nice selection of breads and local food. The view of Chalong Bay from țħe restaurant was really special of Make sure you see when the tide is out and watch the boats floating on sand.The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Terrible WiFi…it didn’t mater what time of the day or night..it was almost impossible to get and hold a connection for any length of time.
Like many Thai Hotels the bed was a little too firm for me.
Breakfast could really be improved if they offered eggs to order like most other Thai Hotels. The eggs were fried ahead of time and layed out in a large warming pan. They just were not appetizing for me.
Even with a few areas needing improvement I am looking forward to my next trip to Phuket and staying at the Aochalong Villa Resort & Spa. Next time we will be staying longer.

Tuckead owy from the hustle and bustle of the busy areas yet still just a short ride to major attractions and shopping. Accomodations were nice and clean. I stayed here for 3 nights in Janaury 2024. The property is in Chalong which is quite far from the airport but they offer pick up from the airport for Thai Baht 1000 each way for up to 6 people. When I arrived I was amazed by looking at the property. It was very beautiful and gave a proper resort vibe. Check-in was very smooth and the room was very clean and I liked it. The drawback is that the WiFi in this resort doesn't work the best. It just did not work for me inside the room but it worked pretty well in the balcony of my room, near the pool, and in other common areas. Another drawback is that they will give you 2 water bottles per day and anything extra apart from that you will have to pay. The swimming pool is huge. There are two pools and both are great. It is very peaceful and the food at Sea Time Cafe is delicious (although the service is a little slow). Overall it was a great stay and I would highly recommend it.

We have been stay here over 7 years just because of the location but resort itself do need to improve management, transportation services with no extra charge it used to have just to take guests to the main road. Food 🙁 NO GOOD I have order sea food noodle for 2 on the 1day arrival. Very salty ☹️I did ask a waiter to try my dish. Yes he say salty he said maybe I not used too 😖 they still charge me for that dish and nothing be done for this poor food. I still hungry and very tired from travel by car 6hrs and half hours to get there all I need just rest. Then during our stay there 3night we never eat there. I want the owner to see this and get the chef to sorted this place have amazing views but just poor food and service.

My husband and I had a wonderful 6 days stay at this charming little hotel recently. (10 days ago) We we’re able to upgrade to one their villas by the pool and the ocean. The staffs there were very friendly and helpful! The property is small the way we love it and if you rent a scooter you get to Rawai and Kata Beach easily! (10-20 minutes) The place may somewhat be isolated but once you hit the main road, you’ll find that you’re so close to pretty much everything: bars, restaurants, 7/11 etc! Overall, yes I will definitely come back to this place when I get a chance to visit Thailand again:)

This hotel had absolutely beautiful gardens and pools. It was peaceful and had a great view of the harbour and big Buddha from our balcony. The hotel was a bit hard for our taxi to find as it was down a back road, but the hotel itself offered a taxi service which made it easier when we got there. Staff were very helpfup setting up a ferry to Ko Phi Phi. Breakfast items were a bit strange some mornings and could be hot held at a higher temperature. Overall a great experience.

The advertised pictures do not reflect the actual surrounds of the place, it appears to be a \"work in progress\" and could use visual shields to mask neighbouring properties. A decent walk to nearby shops, although not pestered by vendors like at Caron Beach.
Air conditioning unit is quite noisy. Fabulous staff and restaurant, nice pool areas.

Amazing! Will definitely go back!!

Second stay at this villa / hotel. They have the most amazing staff that go out of their way to make your trip memorable. Great views from the infinity pool out to Chalong Bay, and a great restaurant on site. Best bang for your buck in all of Phuket in my opinion!!

Not worth the money.

Don't be fooled by the big discounts they are 'offering' on all the booking sites, even at these prices it is well over priced for what you get.

The room (pool view villa) is old and not well maintained. Cracked walls, chipped paint, mouldy water damaged ceilings and all this with just a mattress on a floor, not even a bed.

The check in was quick and all the staff were friendly and efficient as you should expect but this is just a cover of a run down old resort.

The Wi-Fi is slow and very unstable, you can get a connection at the front of the room but even this drops out regularly, at the back of the room (they are not that big!) the connection is almost non existent.

The food at the restaurant is good but service seemed a bit slow. Breakfast is poor but make sure you wait till the hordes of Chinese have left or you will need ear plugs to survive.

If your room is close to the restaurant you will have to put up with their music all day long.

Location for us was perfect as we needed to be at the Phuket Yacht Club for a few days otherwise there is nothing within walking distance.

Even at the 'discounted' rates it's not worth the money. I don't believe anyone has to pay the 'full rate' ever they are made up to make it look like you are getting a bargain. You are not. I checked and even for a.week over new years (peak season) you don't have to pay the full price with a 40% discount offered. The hotel is lying to tempt you in as with the photos on the website.

Hotel Owner & some staff are great

This hotel is not what Orbitz State it is. Orbitz lied as they always do. However, the owner Steve is amazing, the restaurant staff is amazing. The comfort of the room is horrible. The beds are hard and our light went out 3 times. Staff didn’t know what to down & made us wait in the hot room.

Nice quiet place, if u want to be alone for a while. At night you feel seperated from the wolrd. Window view was a dirty river. Big pool was under maintenence. Pillows not good. Breakfast ok. AC ok.

Lovely, just not for me!

The staff are very friendly. If you are in for relaxing/detoxing/rehab this is for you. There is nothing around and the bar closes at 22.30 at night. The hotel is by the beach however the staff described it as ‘dirty’ and advise me to go to Kata beach (atound £5 each way, or you can use the free shuttle at 2pm back at 5pm). As for the rooms, they are ok but you must be able to sleep with the noise the aircon makes - my tumble drier makes less noise than that.
The room locker isn’t very sturdy either....

Overbooked and Unprofessional

Arrived at the hotel to find it overbooked. Discovered upon conversing with several other guests at the hotel that it systematically overbooks its rooms, then sends its displaced customers to spend a night or two at a one-star property it owns about ten minutes away.

This is a disgraceful and dishonest practice. Aochalong Villa does not respect the booking arrangements made through third-party websites such as Expedia or Hotels.com.

When we first got there they overbooked and stuck us in a back room that was not what we paid for and said they would move us the next day. After seeing the small room I saw why we would have to move the next day. My friend and I are not picky but do need some room! The next day we went to the front desk and asked when our new room would be ready and ask that we get compensated for the previous night. Thankfully they worked with us and gave us two massages and had our room ready when we were done with the massages. The massages were great! It felt like a combo of Thai massage and yoga!
The area the resort is in leaves more to be desired. It’s not near town and you can’t really go to the beach as it’s more of a harbor and at high tide the water comes all the way up to the sea wall. It would be nice for a family but as two younger women it made going out a bit challenging. Also the town itself is a little lacking. A lot of construction. Next time I would stay in kata, karon or patong beach. The food at the restaurant was ok- not the best but again nothing is around. Cocktails are NOT made with real fruit juice but fake powder stuff. It’s called orange juice because of the color not because it’s real orange juice from oranges. Overall it was a nice stay once we moved rooms. But I don’t think it can be considered beach front since the beach isn’t really usable. The view from the pool area is nice tho!

Staff was great!! the room was ok different then expected. The bed a little hard for my liking. the grounds are pretty cool but got in so late did not have time to check out so cant give you good feedback.
