Overall I would rate the staff a 5.5 out of 10. The women are sweet & friendly to guest. There is a male worker with missing teeth there by the name of “Boss” that is extremely rude. Tries to bribe you out of money & refused to take me (drive) up to my room so I had to walk up an extremely steep hill in the pouring rain because he had an attitude that I booked my own excursion instead of being overcharged by him. Overall the score is low & he needs to fired. BEWARE!

The rooms were nice, but need to be updated. The staff were very sweet and kind. However, we were unable to use most of the amenities and the breakfast was not good. The on sight restaurant closed extremely early, but overall it was ok.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was also helpful and informative. It is across the street from a 7-11 and a 10-15 minute walk from the busy area where there's a lot of restaurants and shopping, so the location was very convenient. Overall, would recommend and come back.

The propoerty did not reflect the pictures. There was no room service. The hotel was seriously under staff. Breakfast was extremely ordinary. I took the family nearly every day out for breakfast. I kept asking for hand towels, not delivered. When arrived, Tv did not work, needed to be repaired. One air conditioner in main bedroom. Living area was always hot. Room was also needed maintenance. Staff was very friendly but the property was not a 4 star hotel at all. The money i paid did not reflect it at all. Extremely disappointed.

Wouldn’t recommend at all for a short stay, I was thrown up to some old nasty room full of mould… I’m assuming the long stay is who gets the liveable conditions. Had to carry my bags up and down the stairs… power cut in the whole area meant I had no ac, couldn’t call down for help to get my bags to reception… the who booking was a waste as I walked straight back out. When I called Expedia for some help in the matter they said the don’t have a correct number to contact them… I do not recommend booking at all if I’m honest as that last part means as customers we are left very vulnerable!! As a solo female traveller this was not ideal at all!

Fantastic location if slightly out of the way is what you are after. Nice place, probably better with transport. Quiet, secluded chalets which looked great, felt great. A little bit tired in some of the decor, but thats just a small grumble.

First room wasn’t up to standard. Hot, cold water but got upgraded which was nice. Second room was beautiful, and stunning view. Staff treated us like royalty, cooked our eggs and made coffee each morning for us. Very pleasure stay. Would recommend!! Thumbs up to the nice older Thai guy who always made our day by dropping us at our unit, or just being a great person.

The views were amazing from my room. My second room was clean and lovely. My first room smelled terrible. I think maybe they have just fumigated or something. It was a chemical smell that made my face burn. I asked for a different room and they moved me to a lovely room in the top floor. This hotel has aged a lot in comparison to the photos and needs a bit more upkeep. The breakfast was okay. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Possibly the nicest accomodation ever.

With a warm welcome the staff assisted us continually, with any request we had. The breakfast was yummy, assistance with transfers was arranged. The view from lur room was breathtaking high on a hill overlooking Chalong and beyond. It was a great place to base ourselves for our trip to Big Buddha. Our room was stunning, comfortable and elegant. The facilities were top class and the staff all lovely.
Thank you for my Birthday Cake it was such a special surprise and so thoughtful. I would recommend Chalong Chalet to everybody looking at staying in this area. Best accomodation we had for our whole holiday in Thailand.

Very disappointed overall

Based on average rating this resort has &price we paid, I expected so much more & was very disappointed overall.
On a positive note, we had the pool to ourself, the chalet was large & having 2 rooms was useful when traveling with a child. However, the chalet was in much need of refurbishment & attention. The bathroom fixtures were broken, the decor was very tired, there was no bin in the kitchenette & the toiletries supplied were poor quality. We didn't have a room key so couldn't lock our chalet either.
The breakfast was below average. It was a buffet catering for Asian tastes which wasn't appealing for westerners. The only cereal was coco crunch & the bread/jam were basic. The only saving grace was that they offered scrambled eggs cooked to order.
However, we paid over 60% extra just for our child to occupy our room. This was based on her sharing our double bed - no additional bed was provided for her, despite the considerable extra amount paid & plenty of space available for a single bed. Then to add insult, the hotel insisted on charging us extra for our child to eat breakfast, despite us having paid extra within our room rate for 2 adults & 1 child to have breakfast & our booking confirmation clearly stating that breakfast was included for 2 adults & 1 child.
The staff were friendly but this didn't change the fact that we had to pay extra for a meal of low quality that we had already paid more for than it was worth in our room rate.
Wouldn't stay here again.

Nice resort but not well maintained. Not convenient, don even have a convenient store, you have to spend a it of money if you wish to go town or market. Room is big but a lot of ants, you can founds on your bed. If you need a quite and relaxing holidays, this resort is good.

Winner!

I had to come to Phuket for some business and decided to stay overnight rather than driving back three hours. So my wife came with me and we really enjoyed this hotel. Great views and friendly service. The private jacuzzi on the balcony really topped it off. They have a wide variety of rooms and rates so I can only recommend the deluxe. Good value, especially if you like to avoid the whole Patong area which I do.

No room at the inn !

Our flight was delayed so we did not get down to the hotel until 2am. Only to be told they did not have our bookings in their system and the hotel was full. They found the queued payment from Expedia relating to our booking. They arranged for us to stay at another hotel in the area. Whilst waiting to be driven to the other hotel a coach party arrived for whom there was room.

I made a right choice. I def go back.

Overall it was very nice. Was very quiet. I like that alot. It's kinda far from patong beach, not too far to get to rawai beach, kata beach. We rented a car it doesn't bother me at all. That hotel has many cats, they are so pretty. It was so much fun to play with cat. All cats are clean and not skinny. I can tell they loves animal. So it makes me feel warm and love. Also it makes me to comeback this hotel. -- hotel is very clean, they change sheets once a day. Room is very large. View from the room great.
If you are cat lover, bring some cat food(wet foods) . Lol.
I def come back again.

Beautiful place!

We stayed here for 2 nights and the staff was very helpful. The room we got was the private tub and it was pretty awesome. The hotel pool was beautiful. We rented a scooter from the hotel and made our way around town. If your looking for a quite getaway this hotel is perfect. However, there are tour groups that checks in around 3-4 am in the morning and they can get pretty loud. Beside that our experience with this hotel was great.

very unexpected stay

I had a very high expectation for this stay following my stay in Malaysia and Bangkok. Yes it was situated in the mountains but very secluded from restaurants etc.The room and the view was amazing but service was lacking. Not everyone at reception could understand English. They couldn't tell us where to go to eat out. There were no money exchange service within the hotel nor could they tell us where to go for that. Rooms were not fully cleaned, empty shower gel were just left in the bathroom.

Good and well worth staying at

We arrived at the Chalong chalet resort very late at night, the chalet is in fact more of a villa, it was not as clean as it should have been but when asked to clean it the next morning the staff did an excellent job and I couldn't fault the cleanliness after that.

We had the two pools virtually to ourselves the whole time (we stayed 11 nights in total) as it was classed as the low season.

The breakfasts were good and staff attentive.

The only downside was that the shuttle service was at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm with no return service despite the fact that we were the only long staying guests, nor was there any manoeuvrebility with these times. Taxis were no cheaper than in the high season, although we did discover the bus service from Kata to Phuket every 1/2 hour, which passed the hotel and all you had to do was hail it for the bus to stop to pick you up, although this service did stop early at 4.30 pm.

The grounds are beautiful and immaculate, the staff very attentive. There is an excellent viewing verander at the top of the resort which is not publicised and we found by accident.

Yes it is a 10 to 15 min walk into Chalong on a busy road which we often did.

Would we stay here again, yes almost certainly, it was peaceful and relaxing - just what we wanted.

Peaceful base to explore the area

We were looking for a good value hotel for a weeks stay, as we didn't want to splash out on a 5* beachside hotel.

Chalong is a peaceful place to stay with very friendly staff, and a great place to base yourself if you want to try out different beaches and parts of the area. This would explain why the hotel/pool seemed very quiet - all the guests were out and about rather than it being a place with 50+ people sunbathing by the pool. Unfortunately this meant there was no service by the pool but a trip to the supermarket sorted that, as our room was right beside the main pool.

As we saved so much money not booking a super-bling 5* we were quite happy to pay 3/400 Baht each way to go into Kata or Chalong Pier for beach and dinner.

The room was very clean and as the 'basic' option it exceeded our expectations with a private terrace with access directly to the pool, and it was a very good size and had a view of the ocean. The bed was slightly hard for my tastes but was not uncomfortable.

Overall we'd stay there again and would recommend it for those on a budget.

Remote location unless you have your own transportation. On site restaurant is small, food is average with quite high prices. Taxi is very expensive (600 baht to Phuket town, which is 15-20 mins drive). They have one way transfers at 11am and 2pm to Chalong pier, Phuket town.
Pools are gorgeous.
The room is wonderful, spacious, well maintenaned and clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chalong Chalet this summer, and were impressed with the resorts beauty and comfortability as it is situated amongst beautiful gardens and swimming pools with stunning views of the bay and surrounding mountains. The villa and resort itself is also very nice and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. It also seemed relatively quiet throughout the day and the pool was usually vacant so it was very conducive to some relaxing. Drinks and cocktails were delivered to the pool on request and also you could request massages and free shuttles to nearby shopping centres and kata beach.

Lovely quiet resort

Really enjoyed our stay in a villa at this resort. It was quiet so we had the pool mostly to ourselves the one day and the staff was fantastic. The restaurant was good also, but the one thing we didn't like was that they closed the restaurant on NY's Eve and our only option was to go to the big party. This party wasn't cheap and it wasn't our kind of thing. We didn't like not having the restaurant as an available option since there is nothing around this hotel. You'd have to take a taxi to get somewhere and return, something we didn't want to do. It should be that the hotel offers all facilities at all times when it's located somewhere remote. Other than this one snag, the hotel was a lovely place to stay and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Largish resort with a private feel

Our stay at Chalong Chalet is a bit hard to sum up. The room and grounds are in great shape. The bay view is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and hard working. The resort is fairly big as there are many chalets and maybe 20ish more typical hotel rooms. However other than breakfast we didn't see many visitors over our week long stay. We felt as if we had a private retreat.

Location of the resort is a bit remote. There is plenty nearby but nothing to walk to. Luckily the restaurant is quite good and not overly expensive.

We had a a couple of issues with our room. Lack of hot water, and trouble filling the large semiprivate jacuzzi. However the staff and management was very quick to act to try and rectify the problems. Upon returning we found an entirely new faucet on the outside jacuzzi and noticed all other rooms also had the new faucet. A big help but the large tub/jacuzzi still take a couple of hours to fill. The hot water problem was addressed right away with a brand new hot water unit in out room. However the problem was not completely fixed and we changed rooms. We did change to a better room.

We had a very nice stay and a good trip to Phuket. We recommend Chalong Chalet. However if you are with kids and can afford a chalet, it may be more family friendly, but you will give up the view.

Beautiful views, relaxing place to stay

This place is stunning, very reasonably priced and the staff are spectacular.
We were greeted by the amazing staff in the stunning reception and taken to our room by a golf buggy and had our luggage brought to us (which was a relief for us we were exhausted and on the third floor.)
The room is massive and very clean we could NOT fault it.
The spa suites are not much more expansive and I thoroughly recommend you upgrade to one if you choose to stay. We had got sick our first night and the cleaner had noticed we had used a lot of toilet paper so the next day left us triple the amount which was muchly appreciated.
The hotel offers free lifts into town and you can bater with the tuk tuk's to get a lift home. The gardens and pools are well maintained and the view is picturesk. There were not a lot of visitors whilst we were there however we loved that we had the place to ourselves as we wanted to relax as much as we could.
The restaurant staff are just beautiful, kind and they generally care for you. The food is also nice we ate here nearly every second night and very affordable.

Great east coast hotel

I was there for five days to play golf. It was perfect for this purpose. Rooms in the \"new\" block are spacious, clean and modern with great views. It has two pools and both are nice spots to relax. It is close to the restaurants of Chalong, Naiharn and Rawai and close enough to the golf clubs in Kathu It is my fourth stay here and would certainly come back again. Wifi works fine. On the other hand, it's a pity the gym is not functional at all and the quality of the breakfast could be improved greatly.

Decent Hotel in a Not-so-decent Area

This hotel is located up on a hill a few miles from Patong. The room was very spacious. It has two nice balconies, and we had a good time chilling in there. Kitchen was basically useless, since there is no stove. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast served at the hotel was okay. Service was attentive. Swimming pool was fine. It had a great view of the sea. The hotel did offer shuttle to Patong and nearby beaches, but it was an one-way shuttle. There is nothing within 10min walking distance from the hotel. So we had to rely on taxi, which was quite inconvenient.

Previous reviews are perfect, although I would rate the breakfast as very good. There were various types of noodles and other Asian dishes, some fruits, bacon, bread with toasters, an omelette station, juice, tea, and coffee. People must remember where they are before they judge breakfast. They do a great job. Often in Thailand all one gets is an MSG buffet. Very friendly staff, beautiful villas with a very cozy, fend-shui, gemütlich, hyggelich, atmosphere. Nice garden and deep pool. Not for beach-goers nor partiers. Perfect for people who want to relax and perhaps do some day trips for which they would need a taxi no matter where they stayed. A lot of work goes into their gardening and it is obvious the staff have a lot of pride. I have been to Phuket two dozen times and this is my favourite hotel.

Chalong Chalet is a great place to relax, quiet & more privacy. We spent 4 nights of our honeymoon trip here and it was a great place.The Chalets were very nice, modern and big. The outside shower and bath were excellent. The bed and bedding were so comfortable, we had our first solid nights sleep here out of the whole trip.Gardens and surrounding areas are beautiful and very well kept. The breakfast simple & nice. It takes about 20 min by motorbike to get to kata beach.recommend this hotel for couples and families.

Fangen wir erstmal mit den positiven Gesichtspunkten an.
-Der Room Service und das Essen sind einsame Spitze.
-Die Zimmer sind sauber und optisch ansprechend. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Whirlpool auf dem Balkon.
-Die Anlage ist vom Grund auf sehr schön nur so manche Ecken und Bereiche sind in die Jahre gekommen.

Jetzt zu den weniger schönen Eindrücken.
-Das Hotel antwortet auf keine Email Anfragen zwecks Transfer vom Flughafen.
-Die Angestellten, außer ein paar einzelne, können keinen Brocken Englisch, was die Verständigung nicht vereinfacht.
-Ein Angestellter mit sehr wenigen Zähnen im Mund hat versucht uns beim Roller Mieten übers Ohr zu hauen. Normalpreis ist 250 Baht/Tag.
-Auf die Hilfsbereitschaft an der Rezeption, sei es für Auskünfte oder das Bestellen von Taxi oder Tuck Tuck, ist nicht zu hoffen.
-Das Hotel liegt außerhalb von Chalong und ist sehr Abseits vom Schuss. Ohne Roller wären wir aufgeschmissen gewesen.

Mein Fazit: Der erste Eindruck war gut allerdings verfliegt dieser sehr schnell. Wir würden das Hotel nicht mehr buchen und auch Freunden nicht weiter empfehlen.

Rinnehotelli palmujen katveessa!

Hyvä, monipuolinen aamiainen, mutta kallis. Hotellilla oli kuljetuksia eri suuntiin. Lähellä on Katan ja Karonin hiekkarannat, sekä ostoskeskus toisella suunnalla. Liikenne kävellessä, pimeällä varsinkin, kaoottista. Maisemalliset uima-altaat.

Mooi hotel met fantastische suite

Mooi hotel in een mooie omgeving. Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer. (404)

Kregen een gratis upgrade naar een suite! Fantastisch. Vriendelijk personeel en fijne zwembaden. Ontbijt is a la Thais. Niet te veel van verwachten.

Ligging is redelijk centraal en prima te doen met een scooter of taxi.

Super Hotel!

Habe schon einmal bewertet und kann wieder nur sagen, definitiv empfehlenswert. Ich habe nichts am Hotel auszusetzen. Komme definitiv wieder.

Super Hotel!

Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert! Wer sich nicht ganz an Kleinigkeiten stört, da hier noch Low Season is und nicht alles Top in Schuss ist, der findet hier Ruhe, Entspannung, Sauberkeit auf dem Zimmer, freundliches Personal und tolle Pools! Zimmer mit Jacuzzi sehr empfehlenswert. Definitiv ein Geheimtipp Hotel.

ゆっくり過ごしたい人向け。

ビーチや観光スポットへは歩いていけないけど、レンタカーを借りていたため不自由なく観光もビーチライフもおくれた。ホテルの従業員はいい雰囲気だった。朝食もタイ料理初心者には優しいかった。ルームサービスも細かくって、洗濯頼んだら１日でできた。眺めが良くってバルコニーでゆっくり過ごすもよし、プールで遊ぶもよし。ただ、リフォーム中？な箇所が結構あったが気にはならない程度かと。いたるところに猫ちゃんがいて、癒された。

War bestimmt mal ein schönes Hotel...

...leider ist jedoch der Zerfall der Einrichtung bzw. Räumlichkeiten gut zu erkennen und es machte auch nicht den Eindruck das etwas dagegen unternommen wurde. Die Zimmer waren sehr \"abgewohnt\", überall waren Risse in der Wand zu erkennen, das Parkett war völlig zerkratzt und alles sah mehr oder weniger sehr \"altbackend\" aus. Das ist sehr schade, da die Bilder im Internet etwas anderes versprachen. Wir waren knapp eine Woche im Hotel und konnten dabei nur eine einzige Polreinigung erkennen. Den Rest der Woche war der Pool von umherfliegenden Blättern und Sand verschmutzt. Der Whirlpool auf der Terrasse war eine sehr schöne Einrichtung, jedoch dauert das befallen mit warmen Wasser knapp 3h.
Das Frühstück war furchtbar schlecht und besonders der Kaffee war ein Graus.
Alles in allem war es bestimmt mal ein fantastisches Hotel das einfach aufgehört hat mit der Zeit zu gehen.

Hotel en travaux ! chambre neuve mais mal fini et tres mal entrenu ! Pour la thailande c'est peut etre normal ... Et pour finir c'est infecté de cafard ! Bon courage !
