Heidi – a true gem of this property!
The service was excellent, especially thanks to the sweet lady Heidi, who was so wonderful. The room was clean and offered a picturesque view of the village. Just a three-minute walk brought us to the amazing fjord. We loved our stay and would gladly come back again. Thank you, Hidi!

We have been traveling all over Norway and this was the nicest room yet. One issue was that the TV on the wall cannot pull out that you could see it from the bed. They tried but whoever designed it wasn’t that bright. The breakfast was OK and it bothers me when they keep running out of Items on the buffet. For example, eggs. I did like that. They did have decaf here. The elevator is fascinating. The room is not that quiet from the outside so if there is a party going on, you will hear it.

This is a lovely hotel in the middle of Sognadal. It is very close to the ferry wharf and bus station. There are several good dining options close by. Breakfast was very good and the staff most helpful. The only thing they could improve, is to have additional pillows in the room.

We were greeted with a warm welcoming greeting by . He was very helpful in giving directions and recommending dining options.
The room was very spacious. We also enjoyed a beautiful view. Water pressure was great. The windows were able to be opened. The morning breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful town.

The airline lost our luggage, which was a bummer because we had very little in our carry on bag, but the receptionist went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She also was very helpful in advising stores to meet our needs as well as restaurant recommendations! Breakfast was included and delicious with an abundance of choices.

The rooms were great but the service was awful. Dropped laundry off was told it would be ready between 8:00-9:00 the next morning. At 9:00 was told it hadn’t been started but would be fine later that day. The resulted in my kids wearing their pajamas for our fjord cruise that day. the day At 20:00 we were told it still wasn’t done and our clothes were wet and line drying. When I complained to the manager that it wasn’t done despite being told it would be twice she said it wasn’t her problem. One male staff member simply said “ complaining won’t get it dried faster” which obviously upset me as now the kids didn’t have pajamas to wear either. Finally got the clothes the following morning and some were still
damp. This was the only hotel we stayed at two nights in a row or it really could have been really bad for the rest of our trip. Lack of Staff training was bad enough but the manager response was inexcusable Won’t stay there again

Uniquely beautiful vintage decor, very welcoming & helpful staff. Plus, the breakfast that was included with our one night stay was INCREDIBLE. As foreign visitor I don’t know if that’s the norm for a chain hotel, but I was so impressed by the quality and variety offered. Definitely worth it.

Our vacation got off to a rough start...and then construction caused us to miss our ferry. We called ahead to the front desk once we knew we would be late. When we finally arrived, we were met with a warm greeting by who I suspect was the owner. He made sure all we would need to do upon arrival was grab our keys and get some rest. This gentleman certainly made our night better in a hurry. He was even around in the morning and asked if finally got some rest!

The room itself had a spectacular view, was quite clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the morning: delicious!

Cute, clean, and spacious in the heart of Sogndal

What a cute little hotel close to downtown. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we missed our bus. Room was fairly large and very clean. Only issue was noise from the bar... they were going until well after midnight, but it wasn’t so terribly loud that we couldn’t sleep. Heck, if we didn’t have to get up so early, we would have liked to have joined them!

More of a worker hotel than tourist hotel but does its job well. Breakfast was good and there was a dinner buffet for guest (extra cost) that was handy considering a lack of decent eateries in the vicinity. Also able to pack a lunch at breakfast which was nice. \"Jill of all trades\" was helpful at the front desk, serving drinks with dinner and keeping the breakfast buffet stocked. Useful as a transit hotel, not a tourist destination.

Very helpful staff. We accidentally locked a suitcase with the keys inside. The hotel's handyman took a hack saw to the lock and removed it in under 3 minutes. When I tried to give him a tip he declined.
Buffet dinner was pricey and did not seem inviting. Breakfast was satisfactory.

The hotel is a little outdated, but still kept in good shape. There is no free parking!!! The elevator in the hotel is an adventure experience. The beds could be better, but are clean. Breakfast buffet is ok. Hotel does not have enough paper to print a statement. Incredibly overpriced for the area!!!

Very disappointed as it was pizza from bar next door or kebab down the road (after 5 hr journey too). Breakfast worse we've had in Norway too. Very old needs big updating. Was clean tho

Great location and value!

This hotel is in a nice neighborhood with many shops (even a mall) and restaurants nearby. And it is only a five minute walk from the bus station and approximately the same distance to catch the ferry. The room was small but clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. If you are going to catch the early ferry to Bergen, make sure to check out the evening before since the hotel staff don't arrive that early in the morning.

Flott eldre hotell som jeg har benyttet tidligere. Hadde parkert MC utenfor hotellet sammen med mange andre sykler og dette skulle være ok ifølge resepsjonist ved innsjekk. Alle sykler fikk parkeringsbot selv om de ikke var til hinder for noen. Hotelldirektør tok affære og ordnet opp i dette. Meget bra gjort!Dette var første gang dette har skjedd iflg resepsjonist.

I en høysesong som nå, synes jeg det var et minus at de ikke har åpen restaurant for servering. Fikk meg middag hos naboen, men dere ville nok skåret høyt med en liten meny med kvalitetsmat med gode norske råvarer og lokale spesialiteter.

Hotel ist für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend. Zimmer sind eindeutig in die Jahre gekommen. Wir kamen uns teilweise vor wie in einem alten Londoner Hotel. Badezimmertür war aufgeqollen und ließ sich nur schwer und laut schließen. Es müffelte etwas modrig im Zimmer, was sich aber durch Lüften regulieren ließ. Parkplätze vorm Haus oder in Seitenstraße (Parkautomat von 8 bis 17 Uhr). Restaurants, Supermarkt etc. um die Ecke.
Frühstück war okay, wobei es ab ca. 8:45 Uhr nichts mehr nachgelegt wurde. Und Rührei, das auf einer gekühlten Platte, auf dem Buffet steht und dadurch eiskalt ist, fand ich merkwürdig, was aber an meiner persönlichen Gewohnheit liegen mag.

Fint og rent rom, veldig god seng!
Men frokosten var dessverre ikke mye å skryte av. Maten smakte godt, men det ble ikke fylt på når det gikk tomt. Ingen servicepersonell i matsalen. Jeg gikk to ganger ut i resepsjonen for å lete etter noen, da det manglet juice i automatene, tomt for bacon, tomt for servietter… Hadde vært en mye bedre opplevelse med personell som faktisk var synlig!
